//-------------------------------------------------------// Clear Skies on Horizons -by Inane Insanity- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Memory (Intro) //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Memory (Intro) I admired myself one last time in a metal skillet I picked up before rushing out the kitchen that was half of my apartment. The stubble on my face, and dark blue eyes greeted me in the dark surface of the black skillet. You are one sexy motherfucker, Manny! I flashed myself a smile, and decided not to do so again. My teeth needed some work. People admired my costume all over! I was the main attraction at the con! That's what I though would happen, but all I got was two or three pictures with some strangers. Sigh~- But I couldn't give two shits, the guys in full suits of armor obviously were much more dedicated  than even ol' Manny. If only I remembered my top hat. Hmm, maybe I could find one at some of the stands? I wandered around till' I found my target, a small stall was setup with various goods scattering the various shelves in a secluded corner of the con. I walked over and was greeted by a man. I can't remember for the life of me who he was, what he looked like, or how I ended up blacking out, but what happened next... ( http://listenonrepeat.com/watch/?v=O6wwI2st7zA#The_Iron_Rose ) (Mood Music) The machines that littered my body began to whir to life. I could hear each individual piece of machinery on me, and knew what each part was doing and where, without even looking. Everything was a blur, and my mind didn't seem to care about anything as I lay on the warm wooden planks below me, a pleasant breeze mixed with the rays of light beaming down onto my skin. I felt at home flying through the air on my craft. I didn't even realize I had thought those words. Everything felt weird. My mind was different. My life before now was a blur. Like a library, where all the books had smudged ink. I opened my eyes, the sky was blue, and mostly clear. The air smelled of a field of grass after a rainy day. A whirring record player sit in the corner of the deck, next to a door that I presumed led to my quarters. A cog was plastered on the side of the large balloon keeping the ship aloft. I didn't know how I knew half the things I knew, but I didn't question it. I felt so much happier than I had ever felt in my whole life, and most of my life was a book of invisible ink. Memories that weren't mine flooded the crevices of my mind, yet felt so right. Equestria, Celestia, Luna, Elements of Harmony, Ponies, Dragons, Manticores. The list goes on. Manny walked to the bronze railing on the outskirts of the craft, and looked down below him. He quickly checked the small machine on his left arm. He took off the gauntlet on his right arm, and attached it to his waist to enter a quick command. The small display stated the time was about 12:00 AM. He gazed at the ponies milling about town. He felt shocked, but didn't know why as he touched his snout. He was too a pony. He couldn't remember why it was so important though. He chuckled as he secured the gauntlet to his right hand again. He yearned for adventure, and he would get it. Many ponies looked up at the airship, confused as to what all the bronze and metal part were for. They were obviously more primitive than him, but that didn't matter. He walked up the wheel of the large airship, and began to maneuver the ship, using the large propellers to steer the ship to the ground safely. The ponies watched him curiously all the way down. Once the ship slowly landed, he jumped down, and onto the hard dirt path. Buildings of various size and shape littered the left and right flanks of Manny, a purple pony, arms behind her back, looked at me curiously, and just looked over my accessories for a moment before breaking the ice. "Hello, I am Twilgiht Sparkle," A purple alicorn, princess twilight, greeted, "and who might you be?" What kind of name was Manny, how did I even get it? Whatever... hmmm, new name. I thought back to my ship for a moment, and smiled. "Cog," I replied, "Bronze Cog," //-------------------------------------------------------// The Costume //-------------------------------------------------------// The Costume I looked into the reflective surface on my bathroom wall, admiring my work. The hulk/spiderman/superman/flash/god costume was complete! It looked... like utter shit. In retrospect, maybe the  hulk/spiderman/superman/flash/god would have been a good idea. But, who the heck knows. Back to the drawing board for me! (Caution, this story has lots of images to show off some of the object the character posses. Keep this in mind and enjoy!) I never really intended to go as the  hulk/spiderman/superman/flash/god, I didn't spend three years of my savings on steampunk gear for nothing. Sure it was a gaming con, but I didn't want to go as anyone specific. I looked again into the mirrored glass in awe. Okay, inventory!
