A soldier named Brave Hooves has seen his share of combat, but the causes he fights for force him to question his own ethics. His loyalty is to Equestria and the princesses who rule over it, but what if his enemies aren't as they seem? After one incident goes completely out of control, he is left questioning the validity of his actions and does everything he can to receive justification.
He willingly follows any order he is given without question, but when the dust clears and the fires burn out, he is left pondering whether what he did was right. Maybe such things aren't for him to decide; if the objective is reached then it doesn't matter if it was "right" or not.
