As Twilight is a princess, she needs to have some royal guards. Then, Applejack applies for the job. The others ridicule her, saying that a mare can't be a sufficient guard. Determined to prove them wrong, Applejack vows to stay by Twilight's side and always protect her. Just like a friend… or more.
