//-------------------------------------------------------// The Musical Life of Harmony Scales -by Platinum Hit- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// CHAPTER 01 - Evicted //-------------------------------------------------------// CHAPTER 01 - Evicted I woke up to the sound of drumming. I attempted to figure out where it came from. Then when I did all I wanted to do was go back to sleep. It was my landlord. Come to take the rent. 625 bits. My name is Harmony Scales and I used to be famous. I was best known for feats on Double Bass, Flute and Viola. Then the media happened. Dragging my name through mud and dirt until all that was left was the laughing stock of Canterlot. I am now broke and live in an apartment in the industrial district of Canterlot. And I am about to be evicted. "Rent!" yelled the Landlord. I opened the door. "I don't have it. Mind if I put it off 'till tomorrow. "Harmony - you know I can't do that. I'm gonna have to ask you to pay up." "I can't." "You have 24 hours to leave the property." I sighed and shut the door. I spent the rest of the day in the house contemplating how terrible my life was. That night I left and went to a bar and spent the money I had on alcohol. Dacolta to be precise. It had a way with dulling the senses. By the time I left it was nighttime. I staggered down the streets until suddenly something hit me. "Whoops - sorry, didn't see ya there!" said an insanely coltish accent.   I looked up into the face of none other than Platinum Hit - mare of rock. One of the ponies that took my fame after my name was dragged through the dirt. "Well - didn't you?" "Are you alright? Harmony wasn't i'? You look a bi' drunk there. Mind if I escort ya 'ome?" I reluctantly accepted her offer. When we got there I attempted - to no avail - to get in. "What's this? Evicted? Well you're in a spot of bother." she said. I sighed. "Yes - I'm broke. Since my name got ran through the mud and I was replaced by the likes of you." She looked at the keys and they suddenly in the lock. "Let's get you inside" she said. I collapsed on the bed and fell asleep. The next morning I set off into canterlot. Platinum had left an address on the doorstep. 401 Trotters Lane. It was behind the castle, looking out on the grassland beneath Canterlot Mountain. It was quite big. A large gold roofed white brick house. I trotted up to the door and rapped a hoof on it. The door opened and out popped a chestnut muzzle. "Who is it? Oh Harmony!" she said and the door swung right open to reveal Platinum in a black and blue dressing gown - her mane once again covering her left eye.
