Chapters Midnight's wish:Adventures of the twins.
Winter holidays and Midi's cutie mark.
Light shone through Midnight's and now Midday's bedroom window. The twins grumbled, Midday however was the first to get up. Night fell straight back to sleep whilst Midi stared at her. Midi then thought of something and said to her younger twin. ''Night, your going to be late for school.''
Night bolted up and began preparing for school, getting her bag and stuff together before stopping, realizing something. She glared at Midi before speaking without a single stutter which surprised Midi a little. ''Wait, schools out, it's the winter holidays. Midi, your joke wasn't very funny.''
Midi giggled. ''I thought it was funny.''
''I'm going back to bed, I'm tired.'' said the white filly, climbing back into the bottom bunk of her's and Midi's shared bunk bed, it had been upgraded by Twilight after Midi began living with them.
''You were up pretty late, Night. What were you reading this time?'' said her sister, looking at the book at her sister's side. She reached over and picked up the beautiful laced and soft book. She stared at it and read the title out loud. ''All you need to know about Equestrian history, ugh boring. How the heck do you find this amusing? I'll never know.''
''I need to get my grades up next term. Last half term, my grades were awful in history. They really need to be a A+ to make mommy happy, she was proud but I can see she wanted more from me, much like big sis. Nyx's grades are straight A's in every subject, except English where she only has a B, but mommy is working with her to upgrade that.''
''I wouldn't call an A in history bad. You remember my grades from Cantorlot Pristine Elementary, I had a D in history. I'm slightly surprised it wasn't an F, I hate history with a passion. Almost as much as I hate our late mother.'' said Midi, stopping instantly when she realized who she spoke about. She looked at Night, who was looking down. ''Ah..I'm sorry, Night. I shouldn't have brought her up.''
''It...wasn't your fault, Midi....maybe, if I hadn't been born, you would have had a normal life....with a loving mother and father. But..no, because I was born, papa was killed and I...I....'' The filly had started crying mid sentence and was unable to speak or stutter out the last bit, but she didn't need to as Midi hugged her.
''Don't ever say that, my life wouldn't have been better. Remember, mom only cared about me being a business mare. I want to be a ballerina, but without you, Night. I probably wouldn't have realized that, you remember the day when I earned my cutie mark. It was slightly before you earned yours. We had just turned five remember...''
Flashback. Midi and Night's age:5. Midi's pov.
It was a rare time that me and Midnight got to see each other, but when we did away from mom's watching cold eyes and under papa's kind and caring eyes. Whilst, I was pampered like mad by mom, I knew about her dark side. She was the dependent of a family of master magicians after all, and she wanted me like that. But little old me, I was just a spirited tomboy who adored the outdoor world.
Me and Midnight were having our small meetings in the backyard, mom was out for the afternoon and much to her displeasure, left dad in charge of us. Neither me or Midnight had our cutie marks and we were talking about what we wanted to be when we grow up. I was actually surprised by Midnight's answer, for she was a pegasus.
''I...wanted to be a magician like mom and you, Midday....'' was her answer. This totally caught me off guard. I hadn't ever expected a pegasus filly to want to be a magic user. I waited for her second piece 'cause I knew it was coming after she saw my expression. ''...I know your shocked but....I want to be....good in mama's eyes....she hates me and yet, I want to be...seen as her daughter!....But enough about me, what...do you want to be, Midday?''
''Me?'' I asked, gently mostly to myself as I began to think. ''Well ever since mom gave me that ballet session. I have come to love ballet, maybe I could become a ballerina. But would mom accept that? What if she hates my talent and starts treating me like she treats you? You lived with it all your life, I haven't...Maybe, I wouldn't be able to take that.''
I saw Midnight shake her head. ''No, I don't think she would. I believe she was pushed you to achieve your dreams. Teach you both ballet and magic.''
I smiled, Midnight was really kind despite being treated like trash by mom. On that topic, why did mom keep hold of Midnight. Was it just somepony to take her temper out on? Or was dad involved? After all, he adores Midnight. Well, I may never find out that answer and mom's not likely to tell me. I decided to draw my thoughts away from that and ask. ''You believe that I can become a ballerina, Midnight?''
''I really do. I mean, I have seen some of your moves and there so graceful that I just want to try them myself. I believe that if you try hard enough, you can become a ballerina. After all, you have a better chance at achieving your dream then a pegasus without any magic.'' she said, mumbled the last bit to herself.
''Your right, want to see some moves now if you like them so much?'' I asked, knowing the answer which was a yes. I got from my seat on the porch and began dancing as graceful as a butterfly, my moves even caught dad's attention. I smiled, closing my eyes making myself one with my dance. I didn't stop, even after I felt this tingle in my flank. I finally stopped when I heard a excited gasp coming from Midnight. I was surprised so I asked. ''Midnight?''
''Midday, look your cutie mark.''
I looked confused at first. 'Cutie mark'? When did I earn my cutie mark? I decided to just look down at my flank and I saw a beautiful image of a purple butterfly sitting on my hide quarter. And it wasn't just a butterfly, there were three small flowers there as well. I smiled in joy, I knew what it meant. 'As graceful as a butterfly' meaning I'm good at dancing.
''Midnight, if you hadn't encouraged me. I might have never discovered my true talent and I would have let a younger filly get her cutie mark first.''
''..Midi, your only older by 3 minutes...'' grumbled Night, but she smiled. Her sister's dream had come true thanks to her and her cutie mark represented it.

Well, this is my new story. Midnight's Wish:Adventures of the Twins. I do hope you enjoy this story, most will be filler but the last segment, which will take me some time to get to, will be really important so I hope you look forward for it.

Meeting with the Sparkles on Hearth's warming eve
It was the night before Hearth's Warming Eve. The castle of friendship was busy preparing for their overnight trip to Cantorlot to visit their extended family. It would be Midnight's and Midday's first time meeting them and Nyx's second time so it was going to be very important for them to be well prepared.
About an hour later, everything was ready and the family was in the living room, waiting for the right time to leave for the train. They could have flown, with Midday on Twilight's back, and Nyx supporting Night but it was just too long a journey to fly and plus, perhaps flying into Cantorlot wasn't the best idea for both Midnight and Twilight.
Nyx was telling story to her younger sister, about their adoptive grandparents, aunt and uncle. Midnight had became pretty terrified when Nyx said that at first they didn't trust her because of the Nightmare Moon incident and it had taken some calming words from Twilight to relax her again.
''Girls, it's time to go.'' said Twilight, peering at the clock.
The three 10 year old fillies and dragon nodded and followed their adoptive mother out of the castle and down to Ponyville Train Station. The wait for the train wasn't too long, but it still added to Night's nerves and Midi's excitement. Midi giggled when she spotted her twin, hiding behind Twilight's leg, chewing on her hooves. ''Really, you are like a kitten, aren't ya? It'll be fine, I'm sure they're the best ponies in the world, especially since they raised the pony who took us in after you know....''
''She's right, little sis. Grandpa Night Light and Grandma Velvet, and Auntie Cadance and Uncle Shiny are all very kind ponies. I mean, Auntie Cadance is the princess of love and guardian of the Crystal Empire with her head of the royal guard husband, they're super amazing.'' said Nyx with a happy smile.
''That's true, but I'm sure you'll enjoy them all the same, Night.'' said Twilight, as the train came along the tracks. ''Looks like our rides here, come on. We want to be there before Hearth's warming eve is over, right?''
The fillies nodded their head, and board the train with their mother. The ticket master took their tickets and they went to find a couple of bunks of the night. Spike was the one who found the bunks first, and got the other ponies to follow him. Twilight smiled as she took her place on the top bunk. ''Thanks, Spike for finding them. Thank him too, girls.''
''Thank you, Spike.'' said Nyx and the twins, in unison.
''Your welcome, little fillies.'' said Spike, feeling a little bashful from the attention.
Night feel upon Equestria, Twilight spotted this and said. ''Girls, time for bed if we want to awaken early tomorrow.'' The girls sighed, wanting to stay up but obeyed and fell asleep. ''Fillies are such chaos, especially three in one room. I mean, all they want to do is stay awake over night which is really possible.''
''You can't blame them, Twilight. Two of them have never met their extended family, the same two have never really had the joy of a family either because of their hectic past.'' said Spike, with a little smile as he ate his bedtime snack, a blue sapphire with a beautiful, blazing fire ruby interior
''By the way, Spike, how in the world did you find that gem?'' asked Twilight, a little confused by the blue sapphire fire ruby cross.
''It was just laying on the ground, in the outskirts of town so I took it. I needed the snack anyway, you can't go on a trip for Hearth's warming eve without a beautiful fire ruby or blue sapphire as a snack.''
''Maybe you can't, but some of us can survive with just our dinner.'' said Twilight, with a frown before turning over and saying gently. ''Goodnight, little brother.''
Spike was surprised by this, Twilight rarely ever called him 'little brother' but hearing it made him feel warm inside. ''Goodnight, Twilight.'' he mumbled, before shaking his head and changing his sentence. ''Goodnight, sister.''
Daybreak came, and the train slowed to a stop. Twilight and her little family was already awake and ready to leave the train. They were prepared to have to catch a pony-pulled cab because walking would just hurt their already sore hooves and it was like a half an hour trek through the busy cantorlot streets.
The cab ride wasn't very long and soon they were at the Sparkles residence. Twilight payed the cab pony and walked up to the door with the fillies and baby dragon. She knocked on the door and Twilight Velvet opened the door, seeing her daughter. ''Twily, welcome. Cadance and Shiny is already inside with your father.'' said Velvet, before noticing Nyx and the twins. ''Hello, Nyx. And Twily, are these darlings the fillies you told me about in the letter.''
''Yes, mom. Can we come in? Oh yeah, Spike is here too if you didn't notice.'' said Twilight, with a slight awkward chuckle.
''Oh sorry, Spiky.'' said Velvet, looking apologetically at the baby dragon.
''It's okay, Mama Velvet.'' said Spike, shrugging his shoulders and walking into the house.
The mares looked at each other and giggled a little before following the little dragon into the living room, where Night Light, Shining Armor and Cadance were talking. There was also a little filly, with a pink coat, purple and golden mane and blue eyes, playing silently on the floor with a huge smile on her face. Night Light spotted Twilight and smiled. ''Hello, daddy's little bumblebee.'' said Night Light, walking over and hugging his daughter. ''Hows my little Twily been doing?''
''Daddy, I'm not little anymore. After all, I have three daughters now.''
''Three? I thought you only have Little Moony?''
Night and Midi looked confused and stared at Nyx for answers, the filly whispered to them, with a little frown on her face. ''That's Grandpa Night Light's nickname for me, Little Moony, meant to signify my former status as Nightmare Moon...And the fact that I'm basically a filly doppelganger of her.''
''Daddy, I do still have Nyx but I have now adopted two more fillies, a set of twins.'' said Twilight, smiling as she pushed Night and Midi forward to face their grandfather. ''The white one with the vest on and a pair of pegasus wings is called Midnight Wish, though I have started to nickname her 'Night'. And the other one is Midday Wish, whose nickname is Midi but I didn't pick it.''
''So...'' thought Night Light, as he thought of nicknames for his new grandfoals. ''How about Little Flicker for Midnight, because whilst she looks weak and timed, it also looks like shes hiding a pretty strong talent that not many ponies know about? And as for Midday, how about...hmm. Shimmer, because her name reminisces the shimmering day and sun and plus shimmer can also mean the shimmer of her dreams and wishes.''
The two foals looked at each other, not really wanting to admit that they liked the nicknames that Night Light had given them but gladly they didn't need to because Twilight step in and said. ''Wow, daddy. They're really cute names and the meanings behind them are pretty amazing too.''
''Enough about that, or you won't be able to watch your documentary before dinner and plus, Night and Midi still have to meet their aunt and uncle and little cousin.''
''Mommy....what's a documentary?'' asked Night, quietly.
''You never watched one?''
''Uh huh.....'' mumbled Night, shaking her head.
''Mom never let Night do anything, Twilight.'' said Midi, sadly. ''So it's not much of a surprise to me that she doesn't know what a documentry is.''
''Well, Night. A documentary is a visualization of something that can be explain in class but put in the form of a visual effect then something that you can simply been told about. The documentary we're watching is the story of the finding of Equestria.'' explained Twilight. ''Didn't your's and Nyx's class begin preparing for your play of it for after the holiday.''
''Yea....'' mumbled Night, before she went and sat on one of the chairs.
Twilight smiled, and said. ''Let me introduce you to your aunt and uncle, girls and of course, little Skyla. BBBFF, Cadance come over here.''
''You want to introduce us, Twily?'' asked Shining, with a smile. ''Well, girls. My name is Shining Armor, but you can call me Uncle Shiny. I'm the captian of the royal guard and prince of the Crystal Empire. This is my wife, Princess Mi Amore Cadanza but most just call her Cadance, she's not a fan of her full name.''
''...She's not the only one....'' muttered Night, under her breath so that only Midi caught it and frowned when she did.
''Skyla, come here. Would you, Sweetie?'' asked Cadance, calling the smaller filly over.
The filly alicorn ran over and fell over thin air, causing a little giggle from most of the ponies in the room. ''..Wat Mama? Why dwd wu caww Skywa?''
The baby talk caught Night's attention, she had almost never heard baby talk before and so it wasn't natural for her. Not even the Cake Twins or the Pie Twins who were both two years old use that language. But she wasn't given time to think about it, as Cadance introduce Skyla to the group. ''This is mine and Shiny's little daughter. She's only a year old, so her speech isn't the best but she is a kind hearted filly and I'm sure you'll get along with her.''
The day went on very well, the documentary was amazing and the presents were pretty amazing too. And not to mention, a present from Twilight to the twins revealed something, that she was going to begin taking them to ballet lessons when they go back into school and she even mentioned that she was just going to take Midi at first, because she had the dancing talent, but she decided to take both of them so the other would be left out.
When the day came to the end, Night wanted it to repeat itself. She had so much enjoyment meeting her family members. She just wanted to repeat the day over and over to repeat her excitement. Thinking back to it, she couldn't believe she was so scared of meeting her family members. Now she was happy and shocked at the same time but then she realized that she was too tired really to just want the day to continue. But if a day like this could happen ever again, she would take the chance.

The new school term had picked up. Hearth's warming eve had ended like a blast and shortly after Twilight and Rainbow got married and choose to settle down to raise their three adoptive daughters calmly before decided to have their own children, if that was even possible which they didn't know at that point in time.
As for the fillies themselves, things were going fine. Midnight and Nyx were still well into their studies with Midi trying to figure out what to do when her sisters were busy. It hadn't occurred to her that next semester, she was going to be one of apparently two new students. She didn't realize that in all of her fun that the new term was beginning soon.
And as everything else does, time passes on and on and soon the new school term picked up and every filly had made their all to the school to start their new semester. Night and Midi walked to the entrance with Nyx. Night then turned to her twin and mumbled. ''Good luck, the introduction is very scary but your braver then I am. Just remember, no mentioning of.....mother.....if you have to mention, mention that your my twin and that's it.''
''She's right, no mentioning of your true parents, if your asked about your living conditions. Say that your living at the friendship castle with your twin sister, Midnight Wish. Got that, Midday?'' asked Nyx. The alicorn filly wasn't used to having another sister yet and so continued to refer to her as 'Midday' instead of her nickname 'Midi'.
''Got it, hey look. I don't remember see that filly in your school photos.'' said Midi, as she pointed to a pegasus filly, walking alone without anypony around her.
The filly in appearance was a small lightning yellow pegasus filly with a tomboyish blue mane and cloudy, greyish-blue eyes. Something about her appearance caught Night's attention as the filly walked closer to them. She even felt her cheeks burn a little and she didn't even know why, she didn't know what this feeling was.
Nyx nodded, staring at the filly. ''She's definitely a new filly like you, right?'' She said, looking down at the white pegasus, stranding only a few inches away. ''Aren't I right, Night? Night? Are you evening listening to me?'' The black filly sighed, glancing at Midi before muttering. ''Will you please?''
The brown unicorn giggled for a moment before nodding. She glanced up at her horn for a moment, before closing her blue eyes and focusing on the magic dwelling inside of her. She barely used magic because of it's painful reminders but if to get her sister back to her senses to realize what was going on, she would use it anyday. Her horn began going, and she focused it's sweet and warm auras towards Night, who was still distracted.
The faint blue glow wrapped around the white filly without her seeing it, and slowly lifted her into the air and it flipped her. It was then that Night realized what was going on. The pegasus gasped in horror as she looked around, only seeing the sky as the ground and the ground as the sky. She screamed as loud as her small chest could allow, and boy was it loud. it had caught all of the fillies' attentions, and brought Mrs Cheerilee towards them just as Midi put her sister back down.
The mulberry earth pony frowned as she said. ''What happened her? Why did Midnight scream like that? Nyx, will you explain for me?''
The black alicorn looked at her panting sister for a moment before nodding quietly. ''She wasn't paying attention, so I asked Midi, here, to levitate her to catch her attention, apparently it scared her.''
''Okay, I appreciate your honesty. But I don't want any magic uses outside of observers watch, outside of school is fine but within the Ponyville Elementary school grounds, unless it's a lesson, no magic is allowed to be used, unless it's for work principals. Which means, no magic other then to levitate your pencils is allowed.''
''Okay, Mrs Cheerilee.'' said Nyx and Midi, looking down. Even everypony else said the exact same thing in unison to the two fillies. Cheerilee smiled when she saw that her message had been taken.
''Alright, fillies and colts. Time to come inside to start our first lesson so come inside.''
Midi and the other new filly stood at the front of everypony sat down in their new seating plan. Nyx and Night were sat near each other with a empty chair in between them tagged 'Midday Wish'. Both were looking worriedly at Midi, who was shuffling nervously at the attention of everypony staring at her.
''Okay, everypony. Before we start our new history topic, pre-equestrian. I would like to introduce two new students. Step forward, new students.'' said Cheerilee, as Midi and the other filly step forward slightly. ''This is Midday Wish and Lightning Breeze, I hope you can greet them with warmth. Now introduce yourselves, little ones. Tell us about yourself and your likes.''
Lightning went first, standing straight and still, her glossy eyes spooking anypony would stared at her for a long length of time. Her voice like a bullet, but no pain was brought. In fact, it was almost, almost, like the filly, herself was in pain. ''My name is Lightning Breeze, I love flying and I can tell that your all staring at me and my glossy eyes, I'm blind. Born blind, I'm going to have a problem with school work but I'll try harder then most of you slackers.''
Midi and Night both stared at Lightning with some shock, this filly was blind. No wonder, her voice was a pellet. Midi had to mentally shake her head before speaking. ''My name is Midday Wish, I enjoy dancing and I have recently moved in with my twin sister, Midnight Wish and her adoptive family at the Friendship Castle.''
Mumbles went around the classroom as many stared at Night, who shrank into her seat, embarrassed. Cheerilee frowned a little at the small conversations. ''Hush down, class. Now, Midday, your seat is in between your sisters. Lightning, follow the sound of my hooves please to your seat.''
The two fillies nodded and went to the respective tasks. Night's eyes followed Lightning as she walked by, the sorrow that filled those glossy eyes was imbearable. Now she knew how Midi and Twilight felt when they show her eyes, shortly after that incident. It was painful to stare into those eyes, she felt sorry for her. Nopony deserved to be blinded for life, she had to help but how?
