Colta-Cola Takes Over Equestria
It was one of the plentiful perfectly peaceful days in Ponyville, and the pleased pretty purple pony princess was taking a stroll through the morning markets. Spike accompanied her, holding a clipboard and quill with a list of the items they needed to purchase.
"Carrots, check. Eggs, check. Extra extra quills, check. Extra ink, check. Milk, check. Flower seeds, check. Screws, check. And weights, we still need." The purple dragon recited off the things on the list, tapping each word with his claw. "What are the weights for, Twi?" He asked.
"Well," She replied. "Sweetie Belle wants to try lifting heavier things, so I thought i'd get her some." She stopped, frowning. "She said something about a 'body-builder cutie mark' for Apple Bloom." Sighing, she continued trotting down the road. "Where am I going to get weights..." She muttered to herself. Before she had time to think it over, a pink blur came speeding down the road, ruffling tails and causing a wind to sweep through the peaceful Ponyville market. Stopping abruptly at Twilight's feet, the blur revealed itself to be none other than Pinkie Pie, the towns resident baker, party planner, and an all-around cheer-bringer.
"Twilight!" The pink pretty party pony Pinkie Pie exclaimed. "I had three tail flops, one-and-a-half shiver-shudders, 2 flank quivers, and a sweet aftertaste, and do you know what that means?" The pink filly was bouncing with excitement at this point.
"No, I don't, actually." Twilight replied, going along with the Pinkie Sense after the occurrences at Froggy Bottom Bog. "What does it mean?"
"Guess!" Pinkie was still bouncing, grinning at her purple friend.
"Frogs are going to rain? An invasion of parasprites? Changelings?" She gasped. "Discord?"
"No, silly-billy! Nothing bad!" Pinkie booped Twilight's muzzle. Twilight still didn't understand that...
"Then what does it mean?" Twilight inquired.
"It means that a new pony is coming! Isn't that exciting? The last time I had this Pinkie Combo was when you were here!" She was talking very fast, obviously ecstatic at this news.
"But what about Cranky Doodle Donkey? He came after I did, right?" Twilight referred to the wig-headed donkey the now lived with his long-lost love, Mulia Mule.
"Doodle-y wasn't a pony, silly! Hes a donkey! This Pinkie Combo only works for ponies! Aaaaaaand thats not even the best part! I want you to come and help me welcome them!"
"Alright then," Twilight said. "I'll come."
"Yes!" Pinkie exclaimed, pumping her hoof in the air. "Let's go!"
"Um, i'll just go drop off the stuff at the castle, and meet you later, bye!" Said Spike, turning towards the crystal tree palace. "And i can read all the comic books I want!"
"I heard that, Spike!"
