Lands took up arms against their neighbors. The end of the world occurred much as we had predicted -- the world was plunged into an abyss of balefire and dark magic. The details are trivial and pointless. The reasons, as always, purely our own. The world was nearly wiped clean of life. A great cleansing; a magical spark struck by pony hooves quickly raged out of control. Megaspells rained from the skies. Entire lands were swallowed in flames and fell beneath the boiling oceans. Ponykind was almost extinguished, their spirits becoming part of the ambient radiation that blanketed the lands. A quiet darkness fell across the world... …But it was not, as some had predicted, the end of the world. Instead, the apocalypse was simply the prologue for another bloody chapter in pony history. In the early days, thousands were spared the horrors of the holocaust by taking refuge in enormous underground shelters known as Stables. But when they emerged, they had only the hell of the wastes to greet them. So there.....now you know what happened before the war.....I swear some ponies just REALLY need to know what happened, Luna Anyway, standing there.....doing buck all, and then I see Blackheart "Fuck" I say to myself in a rather quiet tone as I quickly dash into the nearest room that was NOT occupied by a stallion raping a mare, run inside my quarters as I let out a sigh of relief looking at the old Pip-Buck 2500 I had on my left foreleg "Okay.......5 more hours and I can head home, lets see, sewers are there, so I could sneak out threw there.....nah fuck he'd have his special guards there" I say as I try to find a way out of the shithole that is Novmare I look out the window down towards the gate "2 more weeks and you get a promotion, then you can leave Novmare when ever you like, and then never return.......fuck my life" Chapter 3 - The Long Road AheadChapter 3 - The Long Road Ahead 5 Weeks after leaving the bunker The five weeks after leaving the bunker wasn't easy, raiders, Applejacks Rangers, Legion, and the occasional irradiated animal, however me and Benny did fine trekking down the long highway that was Route 52 along the way we would stop at destroyed settlements and loot the place, or stop at little towns and camps to trade and buy ammo and/or food, but nothing could've prepared anypony for what me and Benny saw. What we saw was like nothing I'd seen before, Canterlot.....in a pink cloud of death and destruction, of course being smart I decided to turn away and walk the opposite direction "For fucks sake! 5 weeks of fucking walking, and we get to Canterlot?!" I exclaimed after kicking some buckets and breaking some bottles Benny just sat there and barked at two raiders heading towards us, I quickly grabbed his collar and pulled him behind cover before setting my sights over one of the raiders head Count to 4 inhale Count to 4.................fire Count to 2 exhale BANG, SPLAT! the raiders brains and skull flew everywhere as the other one recoiled back in fear looking around, it was too late however, Benny had already ripped a chunk of the bastards neck out killing him, I walked over and shot the raider in the head to make sure before petting Benny and walking down Route 52 again. 6 Weeks Later It had been six weeks since we actually saw somepony who had some brain cells left in them to understand English and also tell us where to go if we were lost.....I mean.....if you count ghouls.......some are nice ponies, while some are........lets say..... "Feral, stay down Jackal" the ghoul I had been following said "and keep that dogs mouth quiet" "Its okay, Benny knows what you're saying, you hear that boy? stay quiet unless told otherwise" I said looking at Benny as he nodded in reply A couple minutes later a pack of feral ghouls ran past us chasing a filly, she was dead within a matter of seconds after getting a couple miles away from us, impressive I thought to myself "So I never actually got your name mate, I could use another pony with me, it would mean not you know.....talking to a dog like a mad pony" I asked the ghoul that had helped us "Hm?.....its uhh.....well I used to be Chocolate Swirl, a baker.....but you're the first pony to actually call me a pony, hehe" Chocolate Swirl replied with a slight smile on his face "Come on, does it really fucking matter if you don't have a coat....for crying out loud you helped me....I'd gladly call you a friend any day Swirl" I said smiling and holding my hoof out for a hoofshake as he gladly shook mine and we headed off towards an old general goods store to get food and supplies. Chapter 4 - Nuclear AtomChapter 4 - Nuclear Atom 3 Weeks Later After three weeks of walking with Chocolate Swirl he suddenly stopped and ran behind some logs as I followed with Benny in tow. "Smoothcoat, up ahead" Chocolate Swirl quietly whispered to me Up ahead all I could see was a white unicorn with a blonde mane bloody and dirty wearing a dirty hooded jumper and with a Pip-Buck 3000 on his hoof, after a bit of walking he sat down on a rock after mumbling something to himself starting to drink a healing potion while reading a pre-war document about Megaspells. After looking about for the ghoul Chocolate Swirl I saw him, he had snuck up on the poor bastard, firstly kicking him down before pointing his combat shotgun at the pony's head "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU SMOOTHCOAT?!" he exclaimed asking a simple but delightful question........I mean....if you take away the shouting, and the gun, and the destroyed world and all that stuff The pony sighed and gave him the evil eye "my name is Nuclear Atom, before that back when I was in stable 99 I was known as U-1 and why must every Celestia damned pony have to attack each other?" he said "Uhh well uhh" Chocolate Swirl replied "SERIOUSLY I WAS JUST TRYING TO READ A DAMN PRE WAR DOCUMENT AND NOW YOU GOT DIRT ALL OVER IT!!" he then shouted "Alright calm down you bastard.....Sorry Atom.....can't trust anypony these days....." Swirl said "It's a pre war tower that survived the balefire bombs and the tower where DJ pony is, DJ Pony brings us music and news, I am heading back there for the intact Megaspell" Atom replied with My heart stopped.....AN INTACT FUCKING MEGASPELL?!.....fuck my life just became a whole lot worse, of course, I knew where it was, it was marked on my Pip Buck, couple miles North of us, but fuck, knowing that made my life a lot more fucked "I see, right....well....I suggest we get going to the general store" I said "I'll come with you guys" Atom said looking at his Pip-Buck "you got any Rad Away?" "Ghouls die from Rad-Away" Swirl replied with "I only have one bag left" I said "Mind if I use it? I have a little bit of rad poisoning" Atom asked I thought for a second and then threw the bag at Atom as he catches it "Keep it....the needle will have your blood on it, I don't want anything you have mate" I said "I just drink the stuff it has a faster effect" Atom said before gulping down the bags contents "Luna......alright....well lets get going" I said as Swirl, Benny, Atom and I started walking towards the general store Chapter 5 - The SewersChapter 5 - The Sewers "So swirl what is it like being a ghoul?" Nuclear Atom asked "I mean you are the only ghoul that I met that has not attacked me other then ditsy doo but her tongue was cut off" "Shit.....you get bullied by ponies that aren't ghouls.....but there's a plus....you can walk into any irradiated hellhole and be healed by the radiation" Chocolate Swirl replied "That is a plus I guess... but I don't care what anypony is as long as they don't attack me" Atom said "Well I guess you're the same as Jackal" Swirl replied We continued walking for a couple hours getting to the general goods store, I took out my 9mm pistol and opened the door with it raised, it was pretty clear inside, Benny sniffed around for a bit, he didn't do anything so it was clear, instantly Swirl starting shoving anything he could find into his saddlebags. I however was trying to find anything that was edible, I found a couple of Mint-Al's along with some bottles of purified water, I took one irradiated bottle of water to test back at the bunker, I had a small prototype of a water purifier after all, needed something to test it on, water was the best thing I thought. After getting everything we needed, Swirl, Atom, Benny and myself walked outside as I looked around for the way to exit the town. "So what about you Jackal what is your story?" Atom asked "Uhh.....it doesn't really matter Atom but lets get going to Tenpony Tower" I replied with "It's getting late" Swirl said "We'll rest at that house there, Jackal, you and Benny are night watch" "Fuck, fine, okay" I replied We walked inside the house......after Swirl had kicked the door open, Swirl and Atom lay on the beds falling asleep as I sat there in silence with Benny listening out for anything. After a couple of hours Swirl got up and walked over to me "Let's go, Atom just wants to go to Tenpony Tower, you don't do you?" Swirl said "Not particularly no" I replied After Swirl had got his stuff we quietly left the house and started to walk down the road, until...... "YEAH FUCKING DIE!!!" the raider screamed while firing at us I swiftly ran around the side of the massive raider and aimed at his head Count to 4 inhale Count to 4 shoot.....exhale BANG! SPLAT! his head exploded again into a mess of skull, flesh, eyes and brain, but unfortunately his friends had seen me and now had both me and Swirl pinned down. After a couple seconds everything went silent......... "THAT IS WHAT YOU GET FOR TRYING TO KILL MY FRIENDS YOU STUPID DISEASED CANNIBALS!!" the voice shouted Well shit, it was Nuclear Atom, great After realizing who it was, the three of us quickly ran into the sewers and down the stairs....great....sewers I thought, again, fuck my life. "Yuck, sewers, I hate the sewers" I complained like a colt "Suck it up you big baby, its just the sewers, besides would you rather be up there with the pony we ditched?" Swirl said "Um.......yeah I think sewers are my favourite place now" I replied As we trudged through the irradiated sewers Swirl's life was.....taken.....a couple of feral ghouls tackled him off the high drop down into the depths below....I quickly kept running Benny close behind me, up ahead I could see a light, SUNLIGHT I thought....but I was wrong "You there! quickly get through the gates!" A voice shouted I did as they said and dived through the gates as Benny ran through quickly sitting down beside me as I stood up I was in a whole new place, and I probably owed them a debt for saving my life, but it was a nice looking place. Chapter 2 - Leaving NovmareChapter 2 - Leaving Novmare 2 Weeks later I had gotten my promotion and just left Novmare, I started to make my way across the wasteland like it was nothing, I had my things, and left my old life behind me, I decided to stock up on supplies and ammo at the nearest town, that nearest town was New Appaloosa as I walked up to the gate, it opened, I walked inside and headed straight towards the general store, I went inside and spoke to the pony at the counter, bought the things I needed, and headed out. The next place I needed to head was.....well.....the scrapyard, before I was "abducted" by Blackhearts men as a colt my pet dog had run off into the scrapyard, Benny was a smart dog, he wasn't stupid like most, so he had to be alive and well, even if he was eating the next unfortunate pony to walk in there. I walked inside the scrapyard and started calling his name, sure enough, I heard a bark and a muddy red Alaskan Malamute bleeding a little came running over, at first I was happy to see him alive and well, after all he was only a puppy when Blackhearts men took me, so he was about 4. I took out my medical kit as I started to bandage his bleeding leg, once done I pet him and started walking down the road with Benny following me. 4 Weeks Later It had been four weeks since we left that scrapyard, I'd managed to get back to my little bunker I had in a garage, after clearing out all of the radroaches I hit the switch and trotted downstairs with Benny shutting the hidden door behind us, I walked over to the metal door and started punching in the code. After entering the correct code we walked inside as Benny pranced over to his bed and lay down in it yawning as he fell asleep instantly, after shutting and locking the door I walk into the kitchen and look for some dog food and a dog bowl. After finding two dog bowls and some dog food I pour the remaining purified water into the bowl and put the dog food into the other and walk over and place them both down near Benny before walking into my room and put my gear into a footlocker at the end and put my weapons in a wardrobe and finally walking into the living room and sitting down on the sofa looking up at the ceiling thinking about what I will do in the morning.

Swirl said "Um.......yeah I think sewers are my favourite place now" I replied As we trudged through the irradiated sewers Swirl's life was.....taken.....a couple of feral ghouls tackled him off the high drop down into the depths below....I quickly kept running Benny close behind me, up ahead I could see a light, SUNLIGHT I thought....but I was wrong "You there! quickly get through the gates!" A voice shouted I did as they said and dived through the gates as Benny ran through quickly sitting down beside me as I stood up I was in a whole new place, and I probably owed them a debt for saving my life, but it was a nice looking place.
Chapter 2 - Leaving NovmareChapter 2 - Leaving Novmare 2 Weeks later I had gotten my promotion and just left Novmare, I started to make my way across the wasteland like it was nothing, I had my things, and left my old life behind me, I decided to stock up on supplies and ammo at the nearest town, that nearest town was New Appaloosa as I walked up to the gate, it opened, I walked inside and headed straight towards the general store, I went inside and spoke to the pony at the counter, bought the things I needed, and headed out. The next place I needed to head was.....well.....the scrapyard, before I was "abducted" by Blackhearts men as a colt my pet dog had run off into the scrapyard, Benny was a smart dog, he wasn't stupid like most, so he had to be alive and well, even if he was eating the next unfortunate pony to walk in there. I walked inside the scrapyard and started calling his name, sure enough, I heard a bark and a muddy red Alaskan Malamute bleeding a little came running over, at first I was happy to see him alive and well, after all he was only a puppy when Blackhearts men took me, so he was about 4. I took out my medical kit as I started to bandage his bleeding leg, once done I pet him and started walking down the road with Benny following me. 4 Weeks Later It had been four weeks since we left that scrapyard, I'd managed to get back to my little bunker I had in a garage, after clearing out all of the radroaches I hit the switch and trotted downstairs with Benny shutting the hidden door behind us, I walked over to the metal door and started punching in the code. After entering the correct code we walked inside as Benny pranced over to his bed and lay down in it yawning as he fell asleep instantly, after shutting and locking the door I walk into the kitchen and look for some dog food and a dog bowl. After finding two dog bowls and some dog food I pour the remaining purified water into the bowl and put the dog food into the other and walk over and place them both down near Benny before walking into my room and put my gear into a footlocker at the end and put my weapons in a wardrobe and finally walking into the living room and sitting down on the sofa looking up at the ceiling thinking about what I will do in the morning.
