The Elements of Harmonyby SkylerMChaptersPrologue 1Prologue 2Chapter 1Chapter 2Prologue 1DJ-P0N3 breathed a sigh of relief as she wiped the last record clean; it was times like these, early in the morning that made her feel relaxed, the time of day where she can finally relax and be herself, Vinyl Scratch. Being a DJ wasn't that bad, in fact it had given her a quite surprising amount of popularity. However, being popular came with its disadvantages, like being hounded by wannabe DJs; working at night didn't really help either. So she liked this time of day, when she could take off her glasses and wander Ponyville. Also this time of day enabled her to meet her good friend, the local baker of Ponyville, Pinkie Pie. Thanks to the pink mare, Vinyl was able to go to many parties to be the DJ there, even more than Octavia. She smirked that her rival was of lesser popularity than her, even if the grey mare went to play at the Grand Galloping Gala yearly. It was undeniably obvious that hanging out with Pinkie Pie, Element of Laughter, saver of Equestria thrice and best baker in all of Equestria, would do wonders for her career. Early into their friendship, Vinyl just became 'friends' with the mare for one purpose, and that was for her career. But after hanging out with the mare for some time, they eventually became good friends. Trotting to Sugar Cube Corner, Vinyl garnered a couple glances from the ponies around her, but was later not given a second glance as the white mare had taken off her glasses for the day, and nopony had ever seen her without her glasses, maybe Pinkie, but other than that, nopony. She knocked on the door to Sugar Cube Corner, waiting for the pink mare to come out. Vinyl had gotten addicted to the little cupcakes, scones, and muffins Pinkie made and that everypony adored, and was looking forward to her dessert fix of the day. She put a hoof thoughtfully to her chin and tried to think what she should have today, maybe a wild berry panna cotta or a tiramisu with strawberry flakes, or something wild that Pinkie made up, like the Poison Joke Surprise. A dessert that would let the consumer have mild effects of the poison joke, Vinyl smiled, only Pinkie would ever think of such a dessert. The door didn't budge. Weird, Vinyl thought. It had been about an estimated twenty minutes. According to her experience with element of laughter, she should have come out and given her a tackle hug before she even knocks on the door, why the wait now? "Pinks? You in there?" Vinyl asked worriedly as she knocked on the door. Could she have gotten stuck in the vat of dough AGAIN? Vinyl thought, Pinkie was a weird mare, with the weird ability to get out of any situation, but she'd always be freaked out if she fell in the vat of dough. "I hope nopony sees this..." Vinyl muttered to herself as she used her horn to try to unlock the key lock, turning her head in different directions, waiting for that resounding click! Thank Celestia, She thought as she looked into the skies above, she pushed her hoof onto the door again, thinking that it would open, but no such luck. Vinyl sighed, this was going to take some time, she moved behind before charging like a bull towards the door, with her strength, she had managed to make a hole big enough for her to go through a brick wall? Since when was there a brick wall behind the door of Sugarcube Corner? Vinyl popped her head through the hole first, looking around the dark room, “Pinkie?" She then entered the room, looking around for sign of the pink mare. "Ponies wallow in pity, Rarity. They do very much," Vinyl could hear a voice, similar to Pinkie's but without that gusto and was instead a low and melancholy voice. "Pinkie Pie?" Vinyl repeated. She could hear a couple sniffles from the corner of the room, but it was so dark, she could barely see a thing, even the light coming from the hole she created didn't brighten up the room. The unicorn's horn started to glow and finally she could get a better view of the place. It was a mess. Chaotic even. Bags of flour were strewn all over the place, a distorted bucket, and turnips all over the floor. In one corner, a huddled pink pony is twitching. "Pinkie Pie!" Vinyl dashed over to the mare's side, "you all right?" The mare looked up and stared at Vinyl, an mix of anger, fear and sadness in them. Then she started. "Of course, I'm not alright! Look at Gummy! He's terribly upset, Mr Turnip is upset too!" The pink mare stood up and pointed at her alligator and a turnip with a faded pink hoof, before pointing at the freaked out unicorn, “I’m upset, he's upset, you're upset, we're all UPSET!" Pinkie Pie glared at Vinyl before mumbling to herself, “Maybe I should start the study of Upsetology..." And she then began to tear up, “I don't know what's going on... Stop laughing at me!" Vinyl looked at the tearful pink mare and ordered, “Pinks, you need to get out, stat." The white mare tugged on Pinkie's tail, demanding her to move outside; maybe some sun would do much better for the mare. But she wouldn't move an inch, Vinyl pleaded, “Pinks, just come with me." "I'm not moving!" Vinyl sighed, something was definitely wrong here, and she had to get to the bottom of it, she jumped throug the hole to look for her friends and get to the bottom of this. *** Octavia smiled as she waited for the owner of Carousel Boutique to return, she was looking forward to a nice plain dress design for the Grand Galloping Gala, a dress that might catch the eye of a famous musician. "Odd, Rarity's late, she's hardly late." Octavia said in her British accent as she squinted at her watch that said 10.25 a.m. "It has been twenty minutes, where is she?" She said impatiently, her hooves thumping the table she was sitting at, “Settle down, Tavi, a lady does not get mad. But it is rather late and I do have to receive my dragon-scale strings from the string maker. It would only be available for today and today only!" Octavia was a perfectionist in her career, unlike her rival, who only cared about having fun, as Octavia thought. However, this grey mare only wanted the best of things; after all, she could not bear to give poor quality music to the ponies at the Grand Galloping Gala, even at the expense of savings. Ponies come to the Gala for music, not noise. Also, she wanted to show her rival, Vinyl, that ponies would be attracted to quality music, not the number of weddings, parties or any celebration one has attended. Finally, in the far distance, she could see a white unicorn coming her way, she couldn't hold back her excitement and she shouted, “Rarity darling! Tavi here!" Waving her hooves to show her presence. Rarity stopped at the table and asked sweetly, “Yes, Octavia?" Octavia smiled, “Rarity, where is that dress you promised that would be prepared originally for me? I really need it quick as I have to be going to string-maker soon. It's 50 bits right? You're the best designer ever! Offering such a low amount for such wonderful dresses. Now where did I put my purse...," The grey mare dug into her purple bag as she said. "Oh, I'm really sorry Tavi. But my price has gone up, it's now 150 bits." The unicorn demanded curtly. Octavia stopped her rummaging and looked up, asking in shock,"150 bits?! I don't have that kind of money!" Rarity, indifferent by the mare had claimed, said, “Well that's too bad dearie. I guess you won't have a dress for the grand galloping gala then. Maybe you could sell some strings to pay up?" The white mare observing her hooficure hinted. "Why... All of the dirty..." By now, Octavia had already stood up, annoyed by the unicorn in front of her, “Then I won't pay up! It's my career sacrifice, rather than the ponies at the gala not getting to listen to good music. Good day to you!" Octavia huffed as she trotted off. Rarity shrugged and trotted off in the other direction. "Element of generosity, my hoof!" Octavia hissed through clenched teeth as she trotted to the string maker. *** Derpy sat in the middle of Ponyville square, looking like she was waiting for somepony, often waving at ponies she didn't know or randomly saying the word 'muffins' out loud. Her yellow mane bounced around as she turned her head in all directions, her derped eyes watching everypony's single event. She knew everything about this town, just like Pinkie Pie. Only more, she knew that Scootaloo was actually a chicken/Pegasus hybrid, she knew that Colgate's mane was half toothpaste and half mane. However, the grey mare came to the spotlight when she was chosen as Ponyville's best mother on Mother's day, also she got chosen as 'Best Mailmare of the Year' and she won the muffin eating contest. Those were a lot of acknowledgments, but that never gave the hardworking mailmare her chance to shine, for she was often discriminated. Once, some fillies even complained to their mothers about seeing a 'monster', and that threw Ponyville into a frenzy, that almost involved exiling Derpy. But that is another story for another time to tell. Her flank was donned with a bunch of bubbles, of which nopony knew they for as she stared into the sky. Her eyes went closer and closer to each other, and her face was plastered with her signature smile. "Derpy?" An orange hoof waved in front of her, breaking her concentration. "Oh hello Carrot!" The grey mare quipped cheerfully as she looked up to see an orange mare, with carrots on her back, looking down at her. Carrot Top was one of the most famous ponies in Ponyville, in farming, that is, but was hardly recognized as Applejack's farm would outshine hers. Carrot Top's farm, Crunchy Carrot Farm, was one of the renowned farms in Ponyville, a close second to Sweet Apple Acres. Carrot Top and Applejack always have been good friends, schooling together as fillies and even going to the same high school. But they soon drifted apart as they each had to take care of their own family businesses. Panting slightly, Carrot questioned, “What are you doing here? Sitting in the middle of Ponyville?" "Oh I'm waiting, Rainbow Dash told me to wait for her here. So I had to, you can never leave a friend hanging!" Derpy replied with her optimistic attitude. Carrot suddenly realized something; she had seen the rainbow-maned mare, on a cloud, napping not long ago. This meant her friend Derpy has been waiting in vain, should she tell Derpy that? Well it was the right thing to do. "Derpy...," Carrot started uneasily, gaining the attention of one's of Derpy's eyes, “I don't think Rainbow's coming, I just saw her napping on a cloud." "No way!" Derpy exclaimed, voice cracking a bit, “Rainbow won't do that to me, would she?" Her eyes now looking in the same direction, focusing on the orange mare, hoping what she had just said wasn't true. Carrot tried to remember again, Rainbow Dash's mane did look kind of grey earlier... Could it be?! Now her face, the epitome of shock, she suggested to the grey mare, whose eyes were again derped, “Could it be that Discord is back?" Her voice a low whisper when mentioning his name. The mailmare said nothing and there was silence between the two ponies for a while. Finally, Derpy spoke, "Discord who?" Carrot sighed and just dragged the mailmare to the Treebary. To be continued... Prologue 2The mint green unicorn sat down on the mahogany floorboards in the library, her eyes examining the latest book she had just fished out from the bookshelves; Magic and You. It was a simple book; written by Twilight Sparkle, with a how-to guide to controlling your magic efficiently, not just any normal magic like a levitation spell, or a teleportation spell, but spells of a higher magic level; which had spells such as materialisation spells. Lyra had already used some of these spells, she had even mastered the materialisation spell, in which she had used numerous times; whenever she needed some new strings or she had itching for her favourite doll, a biped doll. She would just materialise her doll whenever she felt like having one, thus leading to the build-up of her dolls in her home, much to the annoyance of Bon Bon. However, she wasn’t looking for a normal spell; she was looking for a spell to bring her to the place called, ‘Earth.’ A mythical place where she had read about once or twice in books, in which it was used subtly; the paperbacks that she had read concerning them hardly contained much info about ‘Earth’ and she was therefore looking for one spell that would bring her to her biped utopia. Her horn glowed green and soon the pages of the book followed soon, Lyra flipped through the pages slowly, it was not easy to find a spell going to a mythical place, after all, what if it was in a small secluded corner of each page? The clock sounded, Lyra turned to look at the time, and it was 11.00 a.m.! “I’m late!” The mint unicorn yelled and grabbed the book with her hooves, which had become accustomed to, she ran around the library, looking for its owner, Twilight Sparkle. “Twilight! Where are you?” Lyra called out, hoping the purple mare would come, “I want to check out this book, if I don’t hurry, I’ll be late!” She had almost ventured into every room, except Twilight’s room; a place where ponies were denied entry. She pushed the door lightly, just a bit to reveal a crack view of the purple mare’s room. Seeing the silhouette of Twilight, Lyra breathed a sigh of relief and whispered, “Twilight, if you don’t mind, I’m borrowing this book!” The mint mare blurted out before running out of the library. Twilight did not say anything, and just stood there; near the window as still as a statue. *** Bon Bon was again surrounded like fillies and colts of all ages, it was no surprise; whenever the fillies and colts see her, and they would rush over to her and hug her for she was the ‘nice candy lady’. The cream mare would always have an assortment of sweets in her green satchel, complete with lyre latch. Candies ranging from caramel, jawbreakers, mint sticks, chocolate bars and her specialty, Bonbons. The goodies attracted young ponies like bees to honey, literally. They would line up in one straight line, waiting for their turn to get the sweet treats in their mouths, the luckier ones would get Bon Bon’s famous bonbons, while the others would get a sweet of lesser quality; so there was bound to be fighting. “That’s mine!” A high pitched yell rang out. “It's mine!” The other, a colt, taunted. The cream mare sighed; they may be cute, but they can be a rowdy bunch. She made her way through the crowd, looking for the fighting pair. Finally, after a few fillies and colts, she found them; it was a earth colt with a black jagged mane complete with a white coat against a pegasus filly whose mane had pink and blue highlights which had a cream coat to match. Bon Bon smiled and slowly trotted up to them, hoping to solve their problem; the filly and colt upon seeing an older mare, froze in fear. "Now don't worry, I am here to see what's wrong. So what's going on?" Bon Bon asked calmly, her voice similar to trying to lull them to sleep. "She stole my sweet!" The colt whined. The filly retorted, "He pushed mine to the floor!" Pointing her hoof at the pink bonbon on the floor. "Did not!" "Did too!" "Did not!" Bon Bon pushed them further away from each other, "Now now, settle down. I'll give you one more bonbon, alright?" She asked the filly, who replied with a shy nod. Passing a baby blue bonbon to the filly, Bon Bon then announced, "I'm sorry everypony! I have an appointment to make, so the sweets will come another day!" The group of fillies and colts let out a collective 'aww'. Bon Bon was an excellent maker of all things sweet, she liked to see the children's faces when they munch on her hard work; their little faces grinning as they savor every little sugar in their treat. She would usually give out all her sweets, but in her satchel still remained a couple as she ran towards the Treebary. *** "Are we there yet?" Derpy whined, much to the annoyance of Carrot Top, "For the fifth time Derpy, we're here already." She replied. Derpy scratched her head, observing the area; the treebary contained books strewn about and there was an unexplainable smell of plaster lingering in the air. The mailmare retorted, "This isn't the Treebary..." The wooden door flew open before any Carrot Top said anything in retaliation, "I'm here for our gathering~! Woah, what happened?" An excited Bon Bon asked in a sing song voice before noticing the chaos. "Muffins?" Derpy suggested as she looked up from a muffin book that she had picked up earlier from the floor. Carrot arched an eyebrow and gave Bon Bon a reply, "I don't know! When we came here, it was in this state," "Fair enough, have any idea where Lyra is?" "She probably went to get Octavia," Carrot said with a point of her hoof in the direction of the String-maker, "Did you see Vinyl, by any chance? She would usually be the earliest to come." "Well, speak of the devil, here she comes!" The cream mare, whom was looking out of the window, exclaimed. The white unicorn who was running their way; mane and tail in a mess, burst into the holed-out tree library, yelling, "Omigosh! Guys! Where have you been? I have been looking everywhere for you guys!" Everypony looked at her in shock as if she had just come out form a mud bath, and not the good kind. Everypony except Derpy, whom was lying on the floor, indulging in a magazine called; Muffins Weekly. "Duh, we come to the Treebary for our weekly gathering, remember?" The orange mare reminded her. The white unicorn whacked her head in realization, "Of course!" Then she muttered to herself, "Running around the whole day for nothing..." She jumped on Carrot in exaggeration, her hooves pinning the orange mare to the dusty floor, "Wait till you hear about what happened to Pinkie!" She said with a hint of worry. Carrot did a little shooing action with her hooves, hinting for the mare to get off her. "Oh, heh heh, sorry." Getting off Carrot, and with the full attention of everypony (except Derpy), Vinyl started her story. *** Silence reigned in the Treebary, not long however, before the questions filled the room. "Say what?" "Pinkie Pie? As in Pinkie Pie." "OHMIGOSH THE MUFFINS, ARE THEY ALRIGHT?" Everypony wondered what Derpy was talking about, but it turned out that Derpy was reading a comic about Mr Muffinman. "Why does Twilight have so many muffin books?" Bon Bon mumbled a question that everypony was thinking. "So whaddya think happened?" Vinyl returned to the matter on hoof. Bon Bon trotted around the treebary, avoiding the books on the floor like avoiding broken glass; trying to think of an idea to why the party mare of Ponyville was acting this way. "Eh-hum!" Carrot tried to gain attention, finally gaining the eyes of her audience, she paused before saying, "It could be Discord!" "I agree!" Everypony turned their heads to the source of the British voice, a grey mare walked in, with a green unicorn following after her. Octavia stomped a hoof on the wooden floorboards, making a loud sound, emphasizing her anger, "Rarity was such a stingy pony! Element of Generosity my hoof! She asked me to pay extra for my dress!" "Yes yes," Lyra pushed Octavia aside, trying to ignore her little problem, "I really think that Discord is back, after what Octavia has told me, Rarity wouldn't act like that for no good reason." "Absolutely!" Octavia added, "Her mane did look grey." Lyra continued, "That further confirms my suspicions, Discord is out." You are right, my little ponies. With a bright flash of light, they were gone. Chapter 1With a flash of light, they appeared at what seems to be the edge of Ponyville. The six mares laid in a crumpled mess, finally getting up sore. Scanning their surroundings; it was a barren land, almost no sign of life anywhere, that is until he said something. Well well well, Lyra, Derpy, Vinyl, Octavia, Carrot and Bon Bon. The mint green unicorn, recognized his voice and yelled to the sky, "Discord! How did you escape?! And why did you bring us here?" A creature, a myriad of animal parts mixed together appeared in a bright flash of light, like a snap. "Oh Lyra, you are the most curious among your friends, aren't you?" Discord said in the most mocking way possible. Lyra barked back, "Don't beat about the bush! Tell me why did you bring us here? And what have you done to Rarity and Pinkie Pie?" "And Rainbow Dash!" Carrot added. Discord floated smoothly over to Carrot, commenting about her too, "Oh Carrot, always observant, aren't you?" He scratched his chin with his claw, pretending to think, "I didn't really think anypony would notice her on that cloud." Octavia was the one who launched the offensive, "I'm sure that the remaining elements will stop you!" Discord, shocked by the outburst; face turned into a dramatic face of horror whilst putting his two arms in acting surrender, "My my, Tavi dear. What an outburst," he shook his head in disappointment, "That isn't how a lady is supposed to act. Also, the remaining elements aren't any better." With a snap of his fingers, the remaining elements appeared at his side. A yellow kitty with pink tinted years appeared at his side, a statue of Twilight also appeared his side, an orange apple also appeared in the middle of nowhere. With one hand, he picked up the yellow kitty, "Fluttershy, you're so cute!" Lyra exclaimed, "Discord, what have you done?!" "Me?" he asked in shock and petted Fluttershy while thinking, "Well, I turned Fluttershy into a kitten, Applejack into an apple, and I turned Twilight into a statue." "Then why did you bring us here?" Lyra asked fiercely, "We don't even know you in person." "Oh, on the contrary, my dear, you're the ponies I need to get rid of." Before he could snap his fingers to do something evil to them, they disappeared in another flash of light. Discord bemused by the scene; gritted his teeth and let out a low growl before he flew away, the remaining elements disappeared as quickly as they had appeared as they had earlier on. "More time for chaos then." He let out a sly smile as he flew in the direction of Ponyville. *** They reappeared in Canterlot, in a room adorned with many marble columns and flowers. The light which shone through the stained windows But they were too busy discussing to realize that. "Why did he want to get rid of us?" "Why do we get teleported around so much today?" Vinyl made a long face and complained. "I'm not complaining," Derpy commented, "As long I find out if Mr Muffinman gets to his children muffina and muffino, I'll be happy." Reading on, she read until Mr Muffinman swoops over the chiseled cliff, jumping over the edge, nearly making it. BUT, Captain Scone comes and zaps him with the scone gun and Mr Muffinman falls into the dark crevice. Clearly on tenterhooks, she quickly turns to the next page to see three words there. To be continued... With tears in her eyes, she looked up and said, "Discord's going to pay! Oh, and hello Princess Celestia!" She waved to the smiling alicorn on the throne in front of them. Upon realizing that, the six of them turned to face Celestia and they bowed down. "What an honor to meet you, Princess Celestia!" Octavia starts. Lyra, however, shoots her gun of questions as quickly as she can, "Princess, why did Discord want to get rid of us? And why did you bring us here?" Princess Celestia lowered her gaze and said in a low voice, "I didn't know Discord would know about you six." She paused before adding in another line tentatively, "That early." "That early?" Lyra repeated, "Know what that early?" "The six of you are the elements of harmony." "We are the elements of harmony?" The six of them said in unison. "Yes," Celestia said, giggling a bit, "I knew that, one day, the elements might be hit with a large offensive. They might not take it and wind up..." Her gaze shifted to look faraway, "as what you see now. So I had to find a second team of elements most suitable for the job. Why do you think you all wounded up in Ponyville, ended up meeting each other and becoming friends?" Vinyl nudged Lyra in her flank, and chuckled, "Remember how you thought I was a robber?" "Well, that's right, and I remember it like it was just yesterday..." Lyra began to reminisce together with her friends. *** "Lyra, wait up!" Bon Bon called out as she tried to catch up with Lyra, it was their first time in Ponyville since their move from Manehatten. Lyra was doing perfectly well with the moving as she would only use her magic to move her bags while Bon Bon was lagging behind by dragging her bag with her hooves. The mint green pony was carrying most of the baggage while Bon Bon only had one pink and white luggage. After their landlord cast them out, they had no choice but to come to a cheaper place to rent an apartment. Also Bon Bon had always wanted to come to Ponyville, to live away from the bustle and hustle of the big city and come to a more peace-fuller town. "I don't understand, Bon Bon," Lyra started ranting as she used her magic to grab Bon Bon's pink and white stripe luggage, "The land lord wouldn't kick us out for no good reason, we paid our bills after all. We did pay our bills, right?" "We did," Bon Bon pointed out. "Exactly! So I can't think of a good reason why he would kick us out!" "Well, you did have an awful lot of human dolls." "They're action figures!" In the midst of their conversation, they had reached their new apartment; it was a small quaint apartment with the usual colours such as brown, grey and white. One floor that stood out the most was a floor that had blue glow bursting through its white curtains. "I hope the neighbors are nice," Lyra wished before going into the building. Not soon after settling down into their quaint little apartment, it felt like home. Little biped dolls were placed in the corner or Lyra's room while there were a few cream tables in Bon Bon's. There were also some vintage painting all over the house, from Bon Bon. However, they sighed as they looked at how much more there was to unpack. As they were unpacking their belongings, a loud knock could be heard from the door. Not only that, music could also be heard blaring from the other side of the wooden separator. "What now?" Lyra grumbled, still annoyed by the land lord's decision as she trotted towards the door and used her magic to open the door. Without invitation, a white unicorn charged right in, throwing Lyra off her balance. "Nice place you got here!" The white unicorn, whom was wearing a pair of glasses was giving herself a free tour of the apartment, commented. Bon Bon shot a glance at Lyra, who returned a similar expression. This mare was suspicious, who would wear glasses like that in the middle of the day? Also her spiky lighting blue mane added to more suspicions. On the other hand, her cutie mark which was a mirror image of two bridged eighth notes, a mark that Lyra recognized that was for ponies of musical talent as she had seen it countless times at her music academy in Manehatten, suggested otherwise. Not taking any risks, Lyra pounced on the stranger and tried to wrestle her to the ground. However, the white mare was equally matched and knew tae-kwon-do. Soon, the unicorn had pinned Lyra to the floor effortlessly. Bon Bon, whom was frightened out of her wits was already at the phone, trying to dial for the police. "Vinyl! Let go of our new neighbor immediately!" A calm yet fierce voice ordered. The white mare, whom was supposedly Vinyl got off Lyra and stood next to the new stranger; a grey earth pony with purple eyes to match, she had the looks of a Canterlot civilian and yet seemed to have the roots of Ponyville, her flank had a treble clef, a note Lyra was familiar as a instrument player herself. Lyra, still lying on the floor, her face the epitome of confusion as she was trying to consume what had just happened on her first day in Ponyville. Upon realizing the confusion her room mate had created, the grey earth pony's face turned guilt-ridden as she looked around the apartment; where Bon Bon was still at the phone, shivering. Everything seemed neater than she had expected it to be, after what she had seen, living with her DJ friend. "Excuse my room mate, she can be a tad rude at times. She's Vinyl, and I'm Octavia," The grey mare extended out a hoof as a friendly gesture to lift the mint mare up, "We live in the apartment above you. We knew that somepony would move in today, so we came down to say hello. But somepony does not know when to use her manners." She glared at Vinyl who had a cheerful grin on her face. "I live by my rules, Tavi." She said with a mischievous grin. Bon Bon, upon hearing what Octavia had said, relaxed a lot more and looked forward to knowing more about her two neighbors as she listened intently to her friend Lyra's conversation with them. Grabbing her hoof and lifting herself up, Lyra let out a sheepish smile, "My name's Lyra and my room mate is Bon Bon, I'm sorry for attacking your room mate. I thought she was some kind of surprise burglar." "I'm sorry for her pinning you, I should really keep a better eye on her," the grey mare let out a smile. Vinyl was the one who broke the ice. Her laughter, oddly contagious as the others soon joined in with her, four mares lying on the floor of a half-furnished apartment. Lyra smiled and thought, thank goodness they aren't robbers, Maybe Ponyville isn't that bad. Author's note: This is a relatively short chapter but I hope it's okay :P Chapter 2"Honestly, I really thought you were some robbers back then," Lyra admitted as she blushed scarlet after realising she had been dreaming for quite some time about past events, "Thank goodness I met you 'robbers', huh?" She winked at her friends, who returned their trademark smiles, Vinyl, with her signature mischievous grin. Rolling her eyes, Vinyl remarked, "Oh boy, meeting the Derpster and Toppy afterward was one heck of a doozy!" Her casual remark drew more laughter from everypony in the room. However, Lyra quickly shook her head and regained seriousness, she trotted towards Celestia, head tilted in slight confusion, "Sorry for derailing the topic, Princess. But we were on the topic on us being the elements of harmony?" She turned back slightly to her friends and raised her eyebrows; a signal to continue on what she had just said. Surprisingly, the grey pegasus was the second to walk forward, eyes effortlessly crossed, "That's right, Princess. I never really heard of a 'second set of elements'. Dash never really told me anything of the sort...," Her mouth crumpled up in confusion as she looked towards the carpeted floor, hoof constantly pawing at it. Everyone being stunned by Derpy's sudden seriousness, left a silence hanging in the room. "Is something timey-wimey going on?" She asked suddenly, head jerking up, leading to six puzzled looks in her direction. Princess Celestia looked darkly to the side for a mere second before returning to the six ponies, "Why Miss Hooves, I doubt that this would be related to time, it has been planned for some time though. And yes, Lyra, you six are the elements of harmony." Celestia repeated, reaffirming what the six ponies had doubts about. "Which elements of harmony are each of us, Your highness?" Another voice penetrated through as a grey earth pony trotted forward. Celestia looked at the stained glass panels dotted with her apprentice and her friends, and remembered how they had found each other, and how Twilight had an absolutely difficult time adapting to her new environment, and her new friends. But as soon they had settled each others differences, Celestia thought as her horn glowed golden as she unfurled a scroll to herself, which contained a picture of her apprentice and her friends, her eyes shifted uneasily from the picture to the six ponies whom were waiting tentatively, she lightened up once she noticed the similarities between the two groups, and noticed each others similarities, they started being the best of friends. "Your elements will only come to you when you realise it," Celestia said with a sad grin, "And you'll appreciate them more when you realise who you really are." The six ponies straightened up, as they knew what they were going to do. "I'm going to send you few," She mused as she rolled up the scroll with another golden aura, "To find Discord." "Aye-aye Princess, we're on it, trust me, we want our friends back really really bad," Carrot placed a hoof at her forehead before sending it off. "Let's go!" Lyra pointed at the door before galloping off with exuberance, followed by her friends, all laughing their heads off. Good luck, my little ponies. The royal alicorn looked out of her window, only to be faced with ebony dark storm clouds, forming a face, you'll need it. *** "So...," Vinyl rolled the words around once they stepped out of the train from Canterlot, "Where should we start?" "Good question Vin," Lyra mused, "To be honest, I don't know." She looked around and scanned her surroundings, "Everything seems fairly normal, albeit for the thunder clouds, which are most likely caused by Discord. Normal, dark clouds isn't his style." "I agree," Octavia said, "And I have seen his style. He could have gone to one of the primary elements of harmonies' houses, to wreak chaos and havoc." "Good point," Carrot nodded her head, "But who's house are we going to go?" And like that the five of them broke out into a string of arguments as to who's house to go to, with Vinyl stating that Pinkie's mental state was not to be compromised, her house should be first, while Octavia said that Rarity's demeanor had been totally not like herself should be first. And with that, both musicians broke out into arguments. Finally, they settled on Pinkie's Sugarcube Corner, letting a DJ smirk at her rival. Whilst walking towards their local bakery, the numerous chatted on what Pinkie's workplace would be like. All except for one pegasus. Derpy's usually crossed eyes had abnormally focused, and they were constantly looking behind her, as if someone was following her. She quickly shook it off as nothing and continued her crossed eyes, just too paranoid Derpy... You did shake that off rather quickly. The musicians were still debating on everything arguable, although mostly it was Vinyl replying angrily in retortance while Octavia made a snide remark, even while walking, leaving the other mares to roll their eyes in annoyance. Derpy's eyes focused again as she thought, too quickly. "Lyra," Derpy walked up to the mint green unicorn's side ad mist their own self-created chaos, "I'm know I'm ditzy and can't think too clearly most of the time, but I think we should try looking in the Everfree forest for signs of Discord." Lyra turned to look at Derpy abruptly, "How so?" The grey mare looked in Everfree's direction and gulped, beads of cold sweat appearing at her brow unbeknownst to herself, "Just a hunch...," She said as she noticed a greenish glow emit from the oddly clear sky above the mysterious forest.
Prologue 1DJ-P0N3 breathed a sigh of relief as she wiped the last record clean; it was times like these, early in the morning that made her feel relaxed, the time of day where she can finally relax and be herself, Vinyl Scratch.
Author's note: This is a relatively short chapter but I hope it's okay :P
Chapter 2"Honestly, I really thought you were some robbers back then," Lyra admitted as she blushed scarlet after realising she had been dreaming for quite some time about past events, "Thank goodness I met you 'robbers', huh?" She winked at her friends, who returned their trademark smiles, Vinyl, with her signature mischievous grin.
