Damn this is one boring mission debriefing. Oh how I wish I could be in a different dimension right now. A young man, in his late twenty's, weighing in at one hundred and forty pounds, and standing at five foot eleven, was sitting in a small conference room with other hunters that worked for TUFPF. They were being debriefed on an enemy that had started wars all across the universe, and the hunters were being sent to the enemies last known location.
"So the enemies last known location was here at the multi-dimensional transporter station over in sector 31. His name is Captain Aldont, but he now goes by the name The Dimension War Machine. The reason you all are going is because the last few hunters we sent to bring him to justice they never came back. We don't know where they are but what we do know is that their still alive." While I listened to Commander Doart my mind turned back to when I first became a hunter for The Universal Federation Peace Force. I was only six years old when I joined. It was after everything I had was taken from me in a singled fiery concussive explosion. I was the only one to survive that day. When TUFPF got there I demanded to join so I could get my revenge on whoever or whatever caused that explosion. "So your mission is to go to sector 31, bring Captain Aldont to justice, find the other hunters and bring them back to us. If there aren't any questions or objections go get armored up and report back to me in three hours." With the mission debriefed I stood up and went to go get my armor. "Oh Red Hunter, I need to talk with you for a minute."
"Okay what is it, Commander?" As I asked him this for some reason I was feeling like today I would finally get some closure.
"Your not going after Captain Aldont. Your getting a special mission, your mission is to go back to where you joined us and activate this." He handed me a small metal sphere as he gave me my mission. "When you activate this a portal will appear and it will take you to where the explosion, that caused you all this pain, might have came from, but beware if you forget this device in this dimension you will be trapped in the dimension you go in. After you get to the dimension, investigate and see if the one your looking for is there, if so you have permission to engage them and bring him back so he can face justice. Any objections, Red?"
"None, sir."
"Good then get moving."
After I got my mission I raced back to my chambers and stepped into the anti-gravity armor equipment. As I stepped inside the anti-gravity well I was levitated to the center of the chamber. After I was in position for the armor to be equipped robotic arms started to equip it. First thing that was put on was the cushioning so my skin won't get scraped away while I'm wearing it. Next my chest and leg armor was slid on. Then my left arm was covered by the standard arm cannon that was given to all armored hunters. Next my right hand was covered by a razor sharp glove. Afterwards a skull that was on chains was put around my chest as a belt made out of the skulls from other creatures was put around my waist. After the body armor was equipped a jet pack was equipped to my back as I was being lowered down to the ground. I grabbed my helmet and slid it on to do a quick systems diagnostics, and went back to the conference room. After I got back to the conference room and was given permission to go on my mission I went to my ship and set off.
"It's been a while since I've been here. I wonder why this place was repaired." As I wondered this I slipped the metal sphere out of my suits storage and activated it. Without warning the sphere shot up into the air and shot a red beam at me causing me to jump back out of reflex. When the red beam struck the ground where I was standing a dimensional portal opened up. "So this is the dimension where that explosion came from. Looks like a nice place to go hunting." As I was talking to myself what I didn't know was that an old timer bombing hunter was sneaking up behind me with an adamantium knife. Unfortunately for him my old home was always creaking when you stepped on the wrong floorboards. When he was only a few feet away from me the floor creaked under his weight, alerting me of his presence. I spun around and shot a paralyzing blast at his chest. I had no idea that my opponent could move as fast as he did when he evaded the blast and threw six bombs at me. As I fired six shots causing them to explode in between us. I then fired a missile at my opponent only for him to grab it and launch it back at me. When it struck the ground in front of me and exploded it sent me flying into the portal without a way back to my dimension, and severely damaged my armor. And the last thing I knew from that point was I was falling from the sky as well as my ship, as I tried to engage my jet pack I learned that the missile had damaged that to. The last thing I remembered before blacking out was hitting the ground and six different candy-colored horses standing over me.
As I regained consciousness I overheard a conversation from somebody. "Wow he hit the ground hard." A taunt sounding voice rang through my head.
"I'm going to contact the princess's." A rather smart tone spoke next as I heard what sounded like hooves clacking against wood.
"Hey Twilight I think he's waking up." A rather shy voice sounded.
"Where the hell am I and who the hell are you?" I asked as I sat up and removed my helmet.
"Well your in Equestria, and I'm Twilight Sparkle."
"Ah'm Applejack."
"I'm Rarity."
"Name's Rainbow Dash."
"Fluttershy."
"And I'm Pinkie Pie."
"And if you don't mind me asking." Twilight couldn't finish her question before I cut her off.
"My name is Red Hunter, I'm a human, no I'm not from around here, and yes I do mind answering certain questions." As Twilight opened her mouth to something else I cut her off again. "Nerd, I work for the TUFPF, which stands for The Universal Federation Peace Force, which means I'm from another dimension, my ship is in the Everfree Forest, and my armor gathers details from anything when I'm on a mission. And yes country girl I do have a degree in alien medication and nursing, so I'll come over in two hours to look at Big Macs leg. Yes whinny I'll help you in two hours and thirteen minutes. Same for you party, speedy, wimp, and you too nerd. And Applejack's the country girl, rarity is whinny, Pinkie is party, rainbow is speedy, Fluttershy is wimp, and your nerd got it? Good, cause its the last time I'll say it." Every time Twilight or her friends would try and ask me a question I cut them off and answer it. "Okay enough questions, you six already know more than enough, if you find out anymore I'll have no choice but to kill you all."
"Okay no more questions." Twilight said as everypony in the room shut up.
"Good, now all of you will help me find my ship so I can repair my armor and replenish my missiles, so lets get going."
"So where is your ship located at?" Twilight asked.
"According to the tracker on my ship, its located around Zecora's home, so nerd will cast an invisibility spell on me so I can get past her without getting noticed by her, speedy and wimp will fly over head so they can make sure my ship is still in one piece if not then you all will help me put it back together. Got it? Good, now speedy and wimp go see if my ship is still intact and report back to me." As I finished giving them their mission the two pegasui flew up ahead and after a few moments came back and told me that my ship was still intact and that it was where the tracker said it would be. "Good, now nerd cast the invisibility spell on me and lets get moving." After nerd cast the spell on me we set off to my ship. After a few moments we arrived at my ship. "There you are old girl. I'm glad to see that your still in one piece and working at full capacity." After I walked up to my ship I opened the hatch on top and slid in. After I was inside I went over to the console and activated the ships repair systems and went to the back to repair my armor and replenish my missiles. After thirteen minutes my armor and ship were completely repaired and my missiles were replenished, but my jet pack was going to take longer than expected to be completely repaired. "Well you six want to see the inside of a ship?" I only asked cause they helped me get here and followed my instructions without question or delay.
"If its alright with you sir we would love to see the inside of a ship." I had to admit Rainbow was really getting into military fitness.
"Alright then climb aboard." As I opened the lower hatch the six ponies crawled up into my ship and looked around in awe. "Well welcome aboard the Red Hunter's Assault Ship. It's also called Death dragon, cause it moves as fast as a dragon can go, and everywhere this baby goes death follows. Now lets get back to the library." As I spoke I engaged the auto-pilot and set the coordinates and engaged the cloaking shield and set off. After about five minutes I was landing my ship behind the library. "I can see you six don't mind helping others, but the first rule of being a hunter is trust no one, but use everyone. But right now I'm not gonna use you, but I won't trust you six until you've proven yourselves worthy of my trust, got it?" This time I let them answer my question.
"Yes we got it." Twilight said and her friends nodded.
"Good now before I forget you have taken the first step to earning my trust. So that leaves you fifty more steps to take for you to have my trust. And since you six just met me and vise versa I'll cut you and only you six some slack and give you thirty more steps to my trust, and I'm gonna train you all to be hardened heartless hunter like me. Now that that's out of the way how about we get started." I said as I smirked underneath my helmet.
"Move it! Move it! Hut! Hut! Hut! Drop and give me twenty push-ups! No wings or horns!" I was constantly barking out orders as the six ponies I was training were getting better and faster at the drills. "Good now time for a twenty mile run! Move it! Move it! Lets go! Lets go! Pick up those hooves! Come on move it! We don't got all day!" It's been nearly three years since I awoken here in Equestria and started training these six ponies, and to be honest they were growing on me. "Okay fillies that's enough for today go home and take a shower then report back to the library! Now move!" As I watched the six of them leave the training grounds I called Twilight back for a quick talk. "Twilight do you know why I pulled you to the side?" I asked trying to figure out how to say what I wanted.
"No."
"Well I pulled you to the side to ask you if you have a boyfriend?" I asked as I slightly blushed.
"What are you asking?" Twilight said a little confused.
"Look Twilight, I don't know how to say this but I'm willing to give you something if you help me with something." I said as I was getting nervous.
"What is it that you want my help with?"
"Look lets get to the library and I'll tell you."
"Okay." Twilight had a confused tone in her voice. When we got back to the library Twilight took a shower and we sat down so I could talk to her.
"Like I was saying back at the training grounds it's been almost three years since I've awoken on this couch, I treated you and your friends terribly, and now that you have all earned my trust, I would like to put you all at more important roles in helping me get home, but I'll need you to do a few things for me." All I wanted for Twilight to do is contact the princess's, tell them that there's somebody that wants to talk to them, and when they get here I'll tell them why Twilight hasn't been as honest or focused for the past three years.
"Okay what is it?"
"I want you to contact the princess's and tell them I want to speak with them."
"Okay that's it?" Twilight asked as she picked up a quill and a piece of paper and started to scribble on the paper. After a while Twilight sent the letter and within a few minutes the princess's were knocking on her door. "Hello princess's." Twilight said as she bowed.
"Greetings Twilight, now you said that there was someone that wanted to talk to us." Celestia said as she looked around the room.
"Yes there is. Red, the princess's are here." Twilight called into the house as the two alicorns entered. After a few minutes I came down to the living room wearing my standard armor protection. A small iron chest plate, iron armored pants, and carrying two pistols, and a long range rifle.
"What? My armor is getting polished." I said as I loaded the rifle and slid it into its holster.
"Well here are the princess's Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Come in and make yourself comfortable, I'll go get some drinks, and I'll leave you three to talk alone."
"Twilight don't worry about drinks, I brought a cooler of beer with me. And by the way beer is a mans version of wine or what ever alcohol you have here." I said as I reached behind the couch and pulled out a six pack. "Now anyone want one?" I asked as I pulled one out and popped the cap and handed one to each of the princess's. "Here just try one." I said as I handed them the bottles and they took them in their magical grasp, took a sip, and scowled at the taste.
"It tastes terrible." Luna said as she tried to give it back to me.
"No that's not necessary, it's always like that. The first taste is always terrible, but the second is always better." As I spoke Celestia took another sip of hers.
"Wow, he's right Luna. It does get better after the first taste." Celestia said in amazement.
"Okay I'll try it again." As she put the bottle at her lips Twilight came rushing in slightly hurt.
"Red Hunter, there's a problem outside and its coming from the Everfree Forest!" Twilight panted as she reached me. "We are trying to hold them off while everypony gets to safety but they're just too strong, and we need your help!" Twilight spoke as a small explosion rocked the library, sending books flying.
"Okay let me just get my armor and I'll join you." I spoke as I got up and went to the steps to get my armor.
"We can't hold out long enough for you to equip your armor the Harmony Strike Force will give any minute now!" At that time Rainbow flew in and spoke with a certain urge in her voice.
"Twilight, Rarity's shield is starting to fail. The enemy will be able to get past it in one minute we need you out there helping her, now!"
"On my way." Twilight said as she galloped outside and out of sight.
"I'm on my way too." I said as I checked to see if my guns were loaded, and raced outside to where they were trying to hold of the enemy. When I got there the shield was destroyed and the Harmony Strike Force was fighting them head-on. The first thing I did was get on top of a building and pull out my long range rifle. I set the sights and aimed, waiting for the right moment. After a few seconds one of the enemies was in a clear spot, so I aimed over towards him and fired. After the shot rang out the enemy fell to the ground lifeless. After shot ten more enemies I was out of rifle ammunition, so I pulled out my pistols and jumped into the fight firing three shots into one enemy. Within a minute all the enemies were ether running away or laying on the streets dead.
"What the hell are those?!" Celestia screamed as she and Luna came running up to the sight of a dozen dead creatures in the streets of Ponyville.
"Those creatures are called Talkoritesics'. They are very nasty creatures that will win at all costs, they'll betray you in a heartbeat, they hold grudges, they're good for expendable troops, but they are easy to kill. A shot to the leg will slowly kill it." I said as I activated the scanner on my arm and showed the princess's the info on them.
"So they are easy to ward off?" Luna asked with her curiosity peaked.
"Not really. With the right training they can be as tough and strong as a full grown dragon, but if they have just been recruited they're as easy as a fly to hold off but as swift and nimble as a bird." As I spoke a noticed a young Talkoritesics shivering in a corner. "Hold on." I disengaged the scanner and walked over to it.
