A Tale of Tempest

by Charon the Chronicler
There are things in Existence that believe themselves superior to all else, seeing all life as mere playthings. Their favorite toys are humans, due to their unique traits. So a being decided to play a game: More powered humans, more fun.

Immortal beings tend to get bored. Some just lollygag about, messing with mortals. Others go insane. But those that can interfere between universes don't often find themselves bored. They also don't stop messing with mortals or going insane.

Anyways, I was sent to this world because one of those jerks. The only hint I got was when she said "Watch out for the others" after she shoved five pills down my throat. Major turn-off. So here I am, trying to make the best of this screwed-up fairy tale world, fighting slavers, xenophobia, and a whole load of stuff with big teeth, sharp claws, and crap attitudes.

Sometimes it sucks to be one crazy good guy in a crazy weird world.
