it has been awhile since crime has stricken ponyville, it was believed that thanks to the efforts of the mane six and their friends, equestria would have finally known peace. unfortunately it wasn't that easy.
they did save their home,friends and family, but it did not remove ill intent that still lingered in some ponies.
In the dead of night, an ancient crystal statue was stolen from the ponyville natural history museum. the thief that was caught claims to have not stolen it the statue, but the evidence was stacked against him. the supposed culprit faces trial for the crime, but it seemed that no pony was willing to take the role as defendant, due to the turmoil the beast and his race have caused in the past.

Not having many options, Mayor mare turns to someone experienced in helping ponies in another way to take the role as the accused's shield. but being inexperienced with the subject, it might not go so smoothly, especially with celestia arriving on the 3rd day of the trial. the punishment for the guilty party will be decided by Her highness personally, so yeah, no pressure.
