Twilight saw something in the horizon.

She wasn't in Equestria. She wasn't in any place known by ponykind. She was in some sort of...big city with gray, rectangular, enormous castles. But they were clearly in decay. Some were about to collapse, others had trees in the inside, other were completely on fire.

The thing she saw earlier was moving. Whatever it was, it wasn't a pony, a dragon, or anything she had ever seen. Yet, it looked absolutely...harmless. She looked into its eyes. She did not see evil, she saw...remorse. For what he had done. For what they told him to do.

Twilight woke up. She was in some sort of empty chamber.

--W-what? Where am I? Is that you, Rainbow?

Rainbow Dash woke up as well.

--Twilight? W-what is this place?

--I don't know. I was reading and then I was like, teleported here asleep. What about you?

--I was taking a nap, then somepony woke me up, put something in my mouth and, well, here I am.

The chamber door opened. Princess Celestia herself came in.

--Princess?! What am I doing here? What are YOU doing here? - asked Rainbow Dash.

--There is something you two have to know.

Celestia took them out of the chamber and guided them through a place few ponies have seen. The central base of the EIA. the Equestrian Inteligence Agency. Deep under the vast Everfree Forest.

--As you have probably noticed, - explained Celestia - everyday spells like teletransportation, Sun and Mon raising, etc. are failing. Think of Equestria as a bucket full of magic. If you make a hole in the bucket, it will start losing its magic, and eventually you will run out of it. We did not think of that when...

--When what?

--...when we opened the portal. A portal to another dimension of reality. To a parallel universe. You are part of the group of ponies who know the truth about this.

--So that damaged force field thing I read on the news was just a cover-up? T-there are p-parallel universes? - asked Rainbow in absolute surprise.

--Yes. Equestria is not prepared for this.

--But, why are you telling us all this? Why did you bring us here? - asked Twilight.

--We...we need you to close the portal. From the other side.

--You're kidding, right?

--I'm not. Twilight, you are the smartest pony in all of Equestria and you, Rainbow, are the most brave one. Together, you can do it.

Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash were stunned. There were still many questions in their head, but they didn't even know where they were, or if they would let them out.

--..I...I will do it. - said Rainbow.

--...So will I. - said Twilight.
