"Hey Bon Bon, how many people do you think are out today?" Lyra asked curiously as she was walking with Bon Bon down the street.
"I'm sure quite a few," Bon Bon said sarcastically.
As the girls continued walking, Lyra suddenly noticed a cat that was walking down the street as well, looking very serious.
"Huh? Hey, B-"
"I can see it." the girl quickly mentioned. "Here, kitty kitty! Over here!"
The cat bounded over, panting in the thick heat.
"I've been looking everywhere for you," it spoke. "You know how hard it was to get to Canterville? Very!"
"It TALKED!!" Lyra squealed. "That is too cool! I want a toy like that too!"
Having spent few precious hours with animals before, Bon Bon perfectly understood the situation.
"It's not a toy," she said. "It's an actual talking cat...as weird as it sounds."
"How do you know?" Lyra pondered.
"I pet-sat for Pinkie Pie before...it's a long story, really."
Making a strange face, Lyra quickly forgot about that strange noodle incident and focused her attention on the current situation: a talking cat.
"Anyway," the cat said, "my name is Aurora and I come from the moon. You see, there is a huge crisis in Canterville right now and we really your help."
"Why us?" Bon Bon wanted to know. "Us... normal people?"
"Because you two, and a few others, possess a power that does not exist in other people: elemental powers."
"Elemental powers?" Lyra spat. "What kind of nonsense is that?"
"Says that girl that thinks unicorns are real," Bon Bon said dryly.
"HEY! They are too!"
"Lyra, Bon Bon. Do you think you're up for the challenge?"
"At this moment?" Bon Bon wanted to know. "And what do we need to accomplish this huge task?"
"Faith, trust, and a magic transformation pen."
Suddenly, the cat did a flip in the air and out of nowhere, two pens appeared, one mint green and the other a creamy white.
"Oooh! I've always wanted a magic pen," said Lyra, dancing happily in a circle with a smile plastered on her face.
"Thanks, Aurora," Bon Bon smiled. "Now what?"
"Well," the cat instructed. "Come with me and you'll transform. The enemy is coming nearer. Then, we must get the others."
The two girls and the cat started to make a mad dash into the Carousel Boutique.
"Hello!" a voice called from inside the door. "What are you..."
Rarity's speech got interrupted because of the sudden gust of wind that came rushing past her.
"Oh." Rarity was now face-to-face with nothing.
"Dressing rooms, dressing rooms...ah! Here we go!" Aurora yelled out. "Now get inside, and repeat after me, Lyra."
"Okay! Oh, is that a-"
"Jupiter power! Make up!"
"Eh, ah... Jupiter power! Make up!"
Fsshhhh! The sound of magic could be heard from a about a mile away... except Rarity and the other people that were there couldn't hear it.
"Oh, hey! What a nice dress! Although it is a bit too short..."
"Now, Bon Bon! Yell Mercury power! Make up!"
"Alright...Mercury power! Make up!"
The sound could be heard yet again, and she too transformed.
"Wow, is this skirt short. Thanks, Aurora!" Bon Bon shouted a little too rudely.
"Yeah, sorry about the skirts," Aurora blushed. "I don't know who ever thought that was a good idea. Anyway, we have to find the others!"
The girls and the cat rushed out of the store once more, this time with accelerated speed.
"Now... who's next on the list? Ah, yes. Vinyl Scratch and Octavia Melody. If my mind is telling me so, they must be somewhere near, possibly inside an instrument store..."
"You mean that one?" Lyra asked, almost tripping on nothing.
"Yes, that one."
Ding!
As they entered the store, a loud blast of cello music could be heard.
"Vinyl? Vinyl, we have customers," a girl with a slight British accent said to her partner.
"That must be Octavia," Aurora murmured.
The cat strode up to the annoyed cellist.
"Excuse me," the cat said politely. "Are you the one called Octavia Melody?"
"Yes I am," the girl announced. "Wait a second...are you a talking cat?"
That there comment alerted Vinyl Scratch.
"Wait, hold the phone!" the girl hollered. "A talking cat? That's redic, man."
The cat suddenly made the pens appear again.
"Yes, I am. My name is Aurora, and my two friends here are Lyra Heartstrings and Bon Bon."
Aurora handed the two girls pens, Octavia's purple and Vinyl's sky blue.
"Thanks," Octavia said politely. "I shall use this for-"
"Transforming only!" Aurora yelled, possibly because she's way shorter than the Octavia. "Sadly enough, they don't actually work, practicality wise."
Vinyl groaned. "Man! And here I thought I was actually going to use it for taking notes during class!"
"We're running out of time!" The cat screamed. "The monster is going to be here any second! Guys, repeat after me! Octavia, say 'Neptune power make up' and Vinyl, say 'Uranus power make up'!"
"Hah! You said-"
"JUST DO IT!" Octavia yelled, also running out of patience. "Neptune power, make up!"
"Uranus power, make up!"
The fsshhh sound could be heard again, only this time louder because the two transformations were simultaneous.
"Oh! Oh my...this outfit sure is short," Octavia said, commenting on the skirt part.
"Ah! I'm wearing a skimpy dress!" Vinyl said, then stuck out her tongue.
And yet again, the girls were off, this time looking for three other girls: Amethyst Star, Roseluck, and Derpy.
"They should all be at...wait a second! We were just there!" Aurora facepalmed, looking very annoyed.
"Sorry girls. Earlier, we were at Rarity's Carousel Boutique, and we totally forgot about three other girls. Man, what is the point in even trying anymore?"
When the girls arrived at the place, they did not rush past Rarity since she was in the same place as the other girls were. In fact, Aurora didn't even care that she was talking in front of the owner. Time was of the essence.
When Aurora produced the pens (colored teal, red, and gray), she handed them out to the designated girls.
"Amethyst: Say Venus power, make up!"
"Wha...?" Amethyst looked confused, but did so anyway.
"Roseluck: Say Mars power, make up!"
"A talking cat? I love talking animals!" Roseluck made a mushy, gushy face at the cat.
"And Derpy! Say Moon Prism power, make up! You will be the leader of this team."
"Me? A leader? Oh boy." Derpy's eyes rolled around.
Fsshfhsfhshfshfsh! The sound of the transformations almost blew the girls eardrums out. However, Vinyl didn't care because she was headbanging the whole time.
After that, which lasted about forty seconds, the girls and cat were finally ready.
"Alright everyone! The monster is here! Once we get out the door, we fight the monster with our powers!"
The girls lined up and were ready for the greatest moment of their lives.
All of sudden, Lyra felt light-headed.
"Me...fighting...monster..."
Lyra then fainted.
"...Lyra? Lyra? LYRA HEARTSTRINGS CAN YOU HEAR ME!?"
Lyra shot up from her position on the couch.
"Huh? What? What about the monster? And the elemental magic?"
Bon Bon smiled. "I know, right? It was awesome! Too bad you fainted right before we bounded out the door!"
"So I missed it all?"
Bon Bon's smile turned into a smirk.
"You sure did, Lyra. You sure did."
