Thoughts swirled inside Cheese Sandwich's head as he slept. He moaned and he groaned, and kicked a few times with his back hooves. Suddenly, he opened his eyes…or so he thought.
"Where the heck am I?" Cheese Sandwich said as he was greeted with a blinding light.
"The better question is: why the heck are you?" A voice asked with improper grammar.
"What? That makes no sense," Cheese Sandwich replied as he got up and looked around. There wasn't a single soul in sight. "Um…where are you?"
"Down here, mister!" The voice spoke up again.
Cheese Sandwich looked down and saw an orange filly with a purple mane and short wings.
"My, aren't you cute! What's your name?" Cheese Sandwich said.
"Thank you! My name is Scootaloo, but you can call me Scoots! Welcome…to your dreams!" The orange filly said happily in a dramatic tone.
"My dreams?!" Cheese Sandwich replied.
"Your dreams!" Scootaloo smiled.
"MY dreams?!!" Cheese Sandwich repeated with greater enthusiasm.
"Do you want some cake?" Scootaloo said as a plate of cake appeared before him.
"Heck yeah I want some cake!" Cheese Sandwich replied as he grabbed the plate and ate all the delicious cake.
"Wow, you surely can eat cake!" Scootaloo praised.
"Thanks! I know! Hey, you see all those fields of grass before us?" Cheese Sandwich said as he pointed his hoof toward the vast plains.
"What about them?" Scootaloo said.
"You think I could turn that into something? I always wanted to be in a lucid dream before!" Cheese Sandwich grinned.
"Well, if you can think it, you can do it!" Scootaloo smiled happily.
"Awesome! Watch this!" Cheese Sandwich said as he took a deep breath.
Suddenly, the fields before them had been filled with party tables that had cake, streamers, balloons, and presents galore.
"Now that is awesome!" Scootaloo praised again.
"Thanks, Scoots! However, it is missing something…" Cheese Sandwich said.
"Hmmm…what could that be?" Scootaloo asked.
"Party ponies!" Cheese Sandwich shouted as a bunch of random ponies appeared around them.
"Oh yeah! This is defiantly awesome! Hey, if you can summon ponies, maybe you could summon a few in particular?" Scootaloo questioned.
"Like which ones?" Cheese Sandwich asked as he waved happily at some of the ponies.
"I think you may figure out who I'm talking about." Scootaloo said as she sat down on the grass and looked up at him.
Cheese Sandwich looked at Scootaloo for a while with a confused look. He really didn't know who she was talking about.
"Umm…well…not exactly…" Cheese Sandwich chuckled.
"Summon Princess Twilight and her friends, as well as Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom." Scootaloo snapped.
"Oh, okay then. I'll try…Geez!" Cheese Sandwich said as he concentrated on an empty table before them.
Suddenly, six ponies, two fillies, and a small dragon appeared sitting on both sides of the table.
"Wha? Where are we?" Spike, the dragon, asked.
"Beats me." Apple Bloom spoke in her country accent.
"Scootaloo? Is that you?" Sweetie Belle squeaked in confusion.
"Greetings, Sweetie Belle." Scootaloo said in an odd tone.
"That's an odd way to greet your friend!" Cheese Sandwich smiled.
"Cheese?!!! Is that you?!!!" A pink pony smiled as she got out of her chair and ran up to hug him.
"Pinkie Pie!! Aw, I missed you," Cheese Sandwich smiled as he hugged her. "Now I remember you guys! Guess I only got around to know Pinkie the most. Except for you, Rainbow Dash. I had to know a few stuff about you since it was your party and all.
"Yeah…so…why are we here?" Rainbow Dash spoke up as she flew up into the air and looked around.
"I…I mean…Cheese Sandwich summoned you." Scootaloo spoke up.
"Cheese Sandwich summoned us? But how?" A stylish white mare questioned.
"He just did, Rarity. We are in a dream after all." Scootaloo said.
"We're…in a dream?!" An orange pony in a hat spoke with a country accent.
"Applejack, don't say that. Everything will be fine. We're not in a dream." Princess Twilight spoke up.
"Should I say something?" A yellow pony spoke shyly.
"Sure thing, Fluttershy. Feels like this whole conversation was made just for the purpose of introducing the main characters." Pinkie Pie answered.
"Don't you mean, the "mane" characters?!" Cheese Sandwich laughed.
"………I will kill you." Scootaloo whispered.
"What was that, Scoots?" Cheese Sandwich asked.
"Uh…I will GRILL you! Yeah, as in, I will give you a cooker! Here, take this grill as a token of my gratitude, and don't ask anymore questions!" Scootaloo said with an odd grin as a fancy looking grill appeared in front of Cheese Sandwich.
"Oh my gosh, you're so awesome, Scootaloo!" Spike said as he opened to grill to see cooked hayburgers.
"This grill is not for you! It's for Cheese!" Scootaloo shouted.
"Oh…okay." Spike said in a sad monotone as he backed away.
"…well that was weird…" Fluttershy said.
"Agreed, Fluttershy!" Cheese Sandwich replied.
Suddenly, the ponies around them had begun to gather at the tables. They had expressions of pure joy upon them, and this was noticed by Cheese Sandwich.
"Hey! Let's get away from this awkwardness and have a party!" Cheese Sandwich said happily.
"Yes! Let's paaaaaarty!!" Pinkie grinned as she ran to the tables and started playing with the streamers and eating the food.
"Oh, Pinkie! You're so awesome!," Cheese Sandwich laughed. "…I love you."
"What was that, Cheesy?" Scootaloo asked.
"Uh…nothing, Scoots," Cheese Sandwich blushed. "Wait, did you just call me cheesy?"
"Yeah, sound Gooda?" Scootaloo said with a mocking stare.
"Boy, Scoots. When did you start making up so much puns?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Scootaloo…you've been acting weird…why don't you go over to where Pinkie is and enjoy the fun? It's the only thing we can do now that we're here." Rarity said.
"Oh, we can do so much more here, Rarity." Scootaloo smiled.
"Really? Like what?" Applejack questioned.
A long pause came from Scootaloo as she looked to the sky. A quick glimmer of ominousness shinned in her eyes and quickly faded.
"Anything…absolutely anything." Scootaloo smiled darkly.
"Wow, Scootaloo. You sure are making a good impression of being totally nice and cute one minute and being totally demonic and ominous the next!" Cheese Sandwich grinned.
"What's your next thought that you want to make real in this world?" Scootaloo asked with complete ignorance of his comment.
"Uh…I can't think of anything…ideas, guys?" Cheese asked.
"More cake!" Pinkie pleaded.
"Fancy tutus!" Rarity suggested.
"Umm…Tirek as a good guy?" Fluttershy said.
"Why Tirek?" Spike questioned.
"Cause Tirek is a creature, and I like taking care of creatures. Plus, this is a world where anything could happen, so…why not?" Fluttershy smiled awkwardly.
"That's a good reason, Fluttershy! Hey, why don't we combine our ideas?" Cheese Sandwich said as he concentrated on a nearby, open patch of grass.
Suddenly, Triek appeared on top of the open patch of grass wearing a tutu and eating cake.
"Wha?! Where am I?" Tirek said as he dropped his cake, "Why am I a ballerina?"
"How did you know that ballerinas wear tutus?" Twilight questioned.
"I never said ballerinas wear tutus…" Tirek snapped.
"You just did! Admit it, Tirek. You're a ballerina." Cheese Sandwich spoke.
"… Am I a pretty ballerina?" Tirek asked.
"You're the most beautiful ballerina that I have ever laid eyes on, Tirek." Cheese Sandwich complimented.
"Are you serious? This is your wish, Cheesy?" Scootaloo snapped.
"Why can't it be his wish, Scoots? Even though I can admit that Tirek in a tutu is weird, It is his dream after all." Applejack spoke up.
"Hmpf! How rude! I bet I look hot as a ballerina." Tirek said.
"Everypony, get me some more cake!" Pinkie interrupted on top of a nearby table".
"SILENCE, INFERIOR ONES!" Scootaloo shouted at the top of her lungs as she raised her hooves.
Suddenly, everypony in the entire field had gone silent. They had now laid all their eyes upon Scootaloo who still had her hooves raised.
"Uh……I wanted you all to be silent, so I could give Cheese a gift." Scootaloo spoke quickly.
"Ooh, really? Why Scoots, you shouldn't have! What is it?" Cheese Sandwich said with a look of happiness on his face.
"This." Scootaloo said in an odd tone.
Suddenly, the world around Cheese Sandwich froze. Everypony remained still around him, including Scootaloo. Everything then started losing its color, and turn to shades of black and white.
"Uh…what's going on?" Cheese Sandwich spoke in confusion.
"SILENCE!!" A disembodied voice spoke.
"Who's there?!" Cheese Sandwich said as he looked around.
"You have tortured my kind for far too long…you don't care about us. You are a heartless fool! Have you ever stopped for one minute and thought about how we felt?" The voice questioned as it's tone got darker and louder.
"What are you? What do you want from me?" Cheese Sandwich demanded.
"Vengeance! We demand justice! We demand respect once and for all!" The voice yelled.
"If you'll just come out and show yourself, I-I can give you the respect you want!" Cheese Sandwich stammered.
"Fool," The voice spoke. "I'm already here…"
Suddenly, the still body of Scootaloo awoke, and her eye color turned to black. She stared at Cheese Sandwich with an evil stare.
"Run like the little chicken you are!" She spoke in a dark voice.
"This is too weird for me!" Cheese Sandwich cried as he imagined a flying chariot and sped off into the sky.
Scootaloo concentrated hard, and imagined herself with eagle wings. She then made a majestic take off, and flew quickly toward Cheese Sandwich as she shot at him with lasers from her eyes.
"Aw, shoot. This is just too much for me." Cheese Sandwich spoke as he dodged the lasers.
Cheese Sandwich then imagined himself with a huge party cannon, and blasted fireworks at the evil Scootaloo.
"Who's chicken now?" Cheese Sandwich shouted as he made clucking noises.
Scootaloo's eyes turned to a fiery red. She then flapped her wings furiously, gaining speed and catching up to his chariot. She finally managed to be just a few inches from his back hooves, but Cheese Sandwich shook her off by bucking her right in the mouth.
"Sorry Scoots! It's not you that I wanted to kick, it's the angered demon that wants to kill me that somehow possessed your body that I want to kick!" Cheese Sandwich shouted in explanation as she saw her fall to the ground with a thud.
"Ugh!" Scootaloo cried as she felt the hard ground punch her back.
Cheese Sandwich halted the chariot that he was in and landed softly next to Scootaloo's body. It had seemed that she had been knocked unconscious.
"Uh……Scoots…you alright? Please don't wake up all of a sudden and kill me!" Cheese Sandwich shouted as he cowered in fear.
"Ch-Cheese……Ch-Cheese……Sandwich?" Scootaloo stuttered as she opened her eyes a bit.
"Wow…I'm surprised you didn't throttle me by the neck the very moment you woke up! Even though you don't have anything to throttle me with." Cheese Sandwich giggled.
"……That's what you think." Scootaloo said in a grim voice.
Suddenly, Scootaloo rose up from where she stood and grabbed Cheese Sandwich by the neck with her hooves.
"What? But how is that possible! Hooves can't grab anything! And why does yours feel so…rubbery…" Cheese sandwich said.
"You still don't know who I am, do you?" Scootaloo said.
"Uh………a cute orange filly with purple hair?" Cheese Sandwich questioned.
"Wrong!! Look closer!" Scootaloo said as she brought Cheese Sandwich closer to her eyes.
Cheese Sandwich looked into the irises of the filly, and gazed in horror at what he saw: His pet rubber chicken Boneless two!
"You!!" Cheese Sandwich said out loud.
"Yes! How do you like me now? I have come for revenge for my fallen brother! You gave him up and threw him away! Even though he was there for you all the time! I have taken the form of an orange filly in this illusive dream to make sure you pay!" Scootaloo said.
"That's……that's just completely stupid!" Cheese Sandwich exclaimed.
"Maybe so…but if you make this out alive, so help me I'll make sure your life is a living hel…"
Suddenly, the world around them shook for a bit, causing them to go unbalanced for a second.
"Uh…like I was saying…if you somehow manage to survive from this world, I will make sure that everypony in your life hates you! I will be around every corner, and who knows! Maybe one day somepony will get the bright idea to take me and shove myself right into your very a…"
Suddenly, the entire world had fallen apart, and all that was left was the sound of peppy voice.
"Cheese! Cheese! Wake up! Wakey wakey, eggs and cupcakes!" The voice cried.
Suddenly, Cheese Sandwich opened his eyes and saw the faces of Twilight, Spike, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and the one who was asking him: Pinkie pie.
"Thank heavens your alright!" Rarity cried.
"Wha? Where am I? W-why am I here?" Cheese Sandwich said as he looked at the dirt ground he was lying down upon.
"When you were walking away from us after that huge celebration we had for Rainbow Dash, you fainted instantly, and fell into a coma." Twilight explained.
"It was kinda weird too for ya. Ya were talkin' to that rubber chicken on your back and on how ya'll should skip dinner, then that's when ya collapsed on the dirt ground. Ya were so tuckered out, ya were probably thinkin' that it was some sort of bed!" Applejack giggled.
"So…all this time I was in a coma?" Cheese Sandwich said.
"Pretty much." Fluttershy said.
"It was kinda scary. We were talking to you and shaking you so you could wake up." Rainbow Dash explained.
"The weird part was: You were sorta answering us back with strange words. Like thanking us for a grill, or saying stuff like I love you." Spike said.
"Ah, yes…yeah, that's kinda a different story in itself." Cheese Sandwich chuckled as he got up and dusted off his clothing.
"Please stay safe out there…We'll miss you." Pinkie pie said as she went up to Cheese and hugged him.
"I promise too. Thank you, Pinkie." Cheese Sandwich replied as he hugged back and started galloping away.
Suddenly, a squeaking noise had sounded from underneath his bottom hoof. Cheese looked back and lifted his hoof to find Boneless two lying down in the dirt lifeless as ever.
"Ah, almost forgot you," Cheese Sandwich smiled as he picked him up and put him on is back. "Come on, Boneless, let's go!"
And with that said, Cheese trotted off into the distance one last time with Boneless on his back and the ponies waving behind them.
"That's odd…" Pinkie said as she waved goodbye.
"What is, Pinkie?" Twilight said.
"I don't know," Pinkie squinted. "But it was as if…for a moment…that rubber chicken on his back blinked."
