Not so dazzling

It was a regular normal day at CHS, students were approaching the school for a regular day of school. A black 2012 Ford Mustang pulls into the school parking lot, the windows pulled down a bit letting the other students hear the loud metal music scream at them from the inside as the bass vibrates the vehicle.

Jet Radke, the resident metal head of Canterlot High, turns off his car as he steps out and shuts the door and locks the vehicle. Slinging his backpack over his right shoulder, he moves his neck length black hair over his left eye as most students somewhat keep their distance away from him while he entered the school. He didn't mind the negativity, hell he could give zero fucks about what other people think. His real friends, the 6 girls he met before the events of fall formal, accepted him for who he was and he appreciated it.

He also wanted to thank the new girl Twilight for instilling in others what friendship was. As he approached the school he saw a sign that announces the upcoming school musical showcase, "A showcase huh?" he wonders as he looks at the advertisement closely, "Might as well get my guys in on this as well even though they aren't part of CHS."

He shrugs his shoulders as he walks inside, the other person that he has his sights on was that silent girl, the dual toned blue hair, purple sunglasses wearing beauty with the headphones, Vinyl Scratch. He had a crush on that girl ever since he saw her. He walks by her as he gives her smile, she notices and smiles back as she waves, her dubstep music playing loud through her headphones, he has always taken an interest on what she was listening to. He walks to her and listens to the beats as he gives her a thumbs up and mouths the words, "Very nice." She grins at him as he walks to his locker to grab his things.

His first class was sports and who else to be in his class than the well known rainbow dash, being the top in PE she was the coaches assistant when he wasn't around. "Alright everyone! Who is ready for a good run?!?" She yells excitedly, most students groan but Jet doesn't really care, he puts his headphones on and turns the music to Slipknots new album as he gets ready at the starting line, with RD up first she yells out go as they all go into a sprint. Jet knew better than to burn himself out so he starts out slow as Rainbow blows past all of them.

"Rainbow dash! If you eat the dirt I will laugh!" he calls out as she bolts past the 1/4 mark.

"HA! You know i'm too awesome for that!" She responds as she suddenly loses her footing but manages to regain balance by flailing her arms wildly.

"What was that about being too awesome to fall?" Jet laughs as he manages to catch up to her, he knows Rainbow hates him for being equal to her when it comes to physical education, music, and other things. Jet also loves to get on her about being cooler than the rest.

When the PE class was over, he walked along with rainbow, much to her annoyance, the fun kind of annoyance, to the gym where everyone was making paintings for the musical showcase event. His artistic skills sucked and he admits he can't draw to save his life so he stood back and let the girls handle the advertisement. He looks off into the distance as he sees the fiery red and yellow haired girl pick up a paintbrush belonging to the Cutie Mark Crusaders. "Want some help?" She asked, the girls said they were good as they look at her nervously.

"SUNSET SHIMMER! OVER HERE!" Pinkie yelled as she waves energetically. She smiles as she approaches them but Jet notices people still cautious of her after the events of the fall formal.

"You know I don't understand how you can trust her. After everything she's compromised, everything she's done. How can you still trust her? Hell even i can't trust the bitch after fall formal."

Apple Jack responds sternly, "Hey Jet, watch yer mouth, and yea she was nasty at the fall formal, but I believe she has changed. Right y'all?" The girls nodded.

"Whatever you say." Jet looks away.

Sunset sighs as she walked towards the group, noticing the stares and whispers, "Ugh, I had no idea the whole school would be here."

Jet just shrugs, "Well this is a school wide event so.. what do you expect?" She just looks away as pinkie and rarity hold up their sign,

"Quite the eye catching advertisement if I do say so myself."

Jet looks over, "Yeah its not bad, pretty good actually," Pinkie smiles at Jet then explains she used frosting instead of paste, and proceeded to introduce it to Fluttershys face. While Sunset was cleaning it off Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna walks in, "Oh boy here we go." Jet whispers, annoyed, he doesn't really like the two sisters and they don't really like him either.

They announce at how this will be the biggest event since the fall formal, and with the mention of that the students all stare at Sunset Shimmer with suspicion and a grudge as she covers her face, Jet notices and he covers his mouth trying to hide his laugh, "Oh shit Sunset, they still be after you about that hahaha!"

She lowers herself down even further, "Thanks for the encouragement Jet."

At the music room, Sunset Shimmer was still upset and embarassed about what happened earlier, "Ugh i'm never going to live that down."

"You were pretty bad at the fall formal." Fluttershy confirms as she grabs her tambourines.

"A demon... I turned into a raging she-demon."

"And tried to turn everyone here into teenage zombies for your own personal army!" Pinkie mimics a zombie as she points at Sunset. Jet was tweaking his synthesizers and sound system as he looks up.

"Basically speaking, you were a giant BITCH at the formal. I mean like, you were straight up 'I wanted to hurt you so bad' bitch I was tempted to go Assassins Creed on your ass." He mimics the wrist blades coming out.

Apple Jack and Rarity roll their eyes, "Even if some people STILL hold a petty grudge," Rarity eyes Jet, glaring at him "We have forgiven you." She smiles nervously.

"While Jet has his own feelings I say, the whole experience brought Canterlot High closer than ever before." Applejack says proudly as the girls agree .

Pinkie counts it off before the girls start playing and singing,

"There was a time we were apart

But that's behind us now

See how we've made a brand new start

And the future's lookin' up, ah-oh, ah-oh

And when you walk these halls

You feel it everywhere

Yeah, we're the Wondercolts forever, ah-oh, yeah!"

Jet was into it as he turns the dials and presses buttons on his pad to give the song its sound as he imitates the drums on the three cymbal splashes as the girls get into the chorus, he bounces his head up and down, smiling as he enjoys the song. He watches as the girls get their pony ears and extended hair as he claps and continues to monitor the sound, since it being a small music room and he had to take into account the acoustics and the volume.  Sunset was clapping along as well enjoying the song, The song finally ends as the girls ears, tail and for Fluttershy and Rainbow dash their wings.

Rarity gets all excited, "I still can't believe that happens when we play! OH! I should start thinking about new accessories for when we get our ponytail, OH! Or maybe some clip on earrings for when we get those adorable pony ears!"

Jet shakes his head, "Dear god Rarity of course you would think about that." She looks at him and huffs as Apple Jack questions it too, explaining that when Princess twilight left the magic should've left as well.

"Who cares why it happens? It makes MY band totally awesome!" Rainbow says with a prideful yet somewhat arrogant tone.

Rarity gasps, "Your band?"

Jet leans forward on his board, "Say that again Rainbow? Your band?"

Rainbow points to herself still not getting it, "Yeah it was my idea to start the rainbooms so we can be in the showcase! Plus im the lead singer and guitarist."

Jet rolls his eyes, "Pfft, I don't give a fuck if your the president of the united states, this is OUR band, comprised of YOUR friends. You may have created it but we make it work as a whole, ergo... OUR BAND."

Rainbow ignores him "Whatever. Your just jealous of because of my awesome skills!."

Jet scoffs at her, "Ok then. How about you and me, shred off tomorrow. Let me warn you though, I will whoop your ass."

Rainbow laughs, "As if Jet!"

The door knocks making everyone see the door as Flash walks in, "Hey uhhh I heard you outside! You guys are really tight."

Rainbow somehow being super fast appears in front of flash, "Uhhh we're getting there, Rarity is still coming in late on the second verse, and AppleJacks bass solo could use a little work."

Jets jaw drop as he looks around confused, arms outstretched, "W-w-wait what??" Rarity and Apple Jack nod agreeing with Jets reaction.

"They'll get it together in time for the showcase." Rainbow walks away, knowing how to piss off Apple Jack and Rarity unknowingly.

Flash looks to the ground nervously, "Uhhh I don't suppose our friends from out of town can come? Knowing this is a charity event and all."

"Sorry flash, twilight won't be around for this. Shes uhhhh got stuff to do you know." Jet explains as best he can.

"Haha uh yeah ok, uhh thought i'd ask... uhhh keep on... rocking it!" He moves back before hitting the door behind him, he blushes and quickly exits out.

"Well, someones a smitten kitten." Rarity says as she does a hand motion only what Jet can remember that some girls with less class would do. She sees Sunset Shimmers saddened expression and apologizes.

"Its ok, Flash is a really great guy and all but I never really 'Liked him' liked him. I was just using him to become more popular." She realizes what she said and guilt overcame her, "The old me was really just horrible wasn't she?"

Everyone nods in agreement while Jet shrugs, "Im being honest but yes, when you were old self, you were a complete bitch."

Sunset shimmer sighs in guilt, but Apple Jack comes over and cheers her up, "But the important thing is that you've turned yourself around."

"Thanks applejack but everyone else at CHS doesn't feel the same way." The intercome beeps as VP Lunas voice calls for Sunset Shimmer to be at the main area. "Gotta run, I volunteered to show the new students around the school. Thought it would be good for them to get the know the new me, before they heard all the stuff about the old me." Jet watches her leave.

"Actually i'm going to follow her and see what these new students are." Jet says as he gets up and gravs his bag.

Apple Jack turns to look at him curious, "Why would you do that."

He shrugs," I just have a feeling, I don't really know." He walks out and follows Sunset Shimmer to see who the new students are.

Rainbow then turns to the group, "We still got a few minutes till the show starts, lets say we do 'Awesome as I wanna be'!"

Fluttershy nervously asks Rainbow if they can play a song she wrote, "We'll get to that." Fluttershy looked a bit hurt as RD picked up her guitar and plays a few notes.

"Hi! Are you the new girls i'm supposed to show around?" She asks as she waves at the three new girls.

"We are." The lead girl Adagio said as they step from the shadows. Jet just arrived to see the new girls make their first appearance and immediately he felt something off about them. Whether it be their body language, posture and suspicious facial expression, besides the innocent one from the girl in blue.

As Sunset Shimmer was introducing them to the school and how wonderful it was Jet was listening closely, wearing his black assassins cloak he spies on them from corners and making sure they didn't see him. When Adagio spoke she gave Jet a red flag in making him become even more suspicious of them.

"Oh yes, we sense there is something... magical about this place." He runs to another corner but the girl in blue, Sonata Dusk squeaks and tugs on Adagios arm.

"I think there is someone following us." Adagio looks closely down the hallway as she scans the area, not seeing anyone she looks at Sonata.

"We have better things to do than follow your imagination." They continue the tour as Sonata sees Jet in his eagle beaked hooded cloak, sternly watch them from afar.
