The Sun, Stars, and the Moonby KyfonixChaptersChapter 1Chapter 2 (Starswirl's Side)Chapter 3 (Starswirl's Side)Chapter 4 (Luna's Side)Chapter 5 (Luna's Side)Chapter 1Once upon a time, the sun, the stars, and the moon met up together to analyze this evil that was coming to Equestria. No one knew where and when they had met, but it is said, that they had met up in the sky shining, illuminating above all of Equestria. The evil that was coming was dangerous and undaunted, but that did not stop the three from consulting a plan to rid of it. You have heard about the evil that approaches our world, so, now we must rid of it, and make sure it stays unfurled. I agree. But, the darkness is stronger than you think for we are on the brink... Do not fret, Starswirl. They are farther than you thought, stay positive, we were taught. The moon's warmth radiated off of her to the bearded unicorn, who felt it surface on his skin. Starswirl smiled back with gratitude (though, slightly freaked out), the sun doing the same. Now, we must discuss the matter at hoof, we know that the evil we are facing is more powerful than we think, and it spreads in a blink. I will watch over the land in the day as always, but more carefully. I'll take care in making sure this vile darkness won't hit this land. I will be back at dawn. I will accompany Luna, and make sure that I'll provide as much light for both her and the residents of this world. I shall watch over when dusk comes. Be careful, Sun. I will watch over the night, and send my guards to protect, scout, and watch over the land with me. Starswirl will have given me light, by the time I send the guards. We cannot fail, for we will prevail! In the name of Equestria, We shall fight with honoria. And so, the three had carried out their duties flawlessly without casualties. The sun looked after everyone in the land, taking note of any abnormalities in anything. She originally left the castle to take care of it herself, but turned back, knowing that her sister would see. The stars had tried his best, for his light shined bright for the moon. He watched over the sun, as she rested, making sure no one would come in and assault her. The sun's guards were out busy patrolling with the night guards. The whole military and private security service were very cautious, for this was a situation not to be taken lightly. The moon, however, was a satellite, she noticed every detail and problems her sister had saw, and took care of them. After that, Luna had hid herself high up in the clouds, watching the sky to make sure nothing strange was coming. The princess of the moon was relaxed and calm. She had resolved all problems, and now was the time to rest. She laid her head on the soft, and fluffy cloud, but, as she rested, Luna felt a presence. It wasn't a pony. She knew that. It was something powerful and mischievous. Something that could turn a peaceful town into discord. It's pretty obvious, she thought. It was Discord. What is it thou wants? Or have you come to cause your insanity across the land? Oh, ho, ho, princess. I assure you no harm. I only just raised the alarm. A feeling of silent panic came to Luna. Her eyes widened and her face had turned pale. She looked down quickly, and found all of the night and sun guards out unconscious. In the name of me, she thought, looking back up at Discord with an angry face. You shall pay, Discord. How dare you, for this won't be a time where I spare your life. My, my, Princess. I'm flattered. Want me to make you battered? And so, the enraged Luna flew high up in the sky (Discord also following along), facing her opponent in the moonlight. Luna threw a beam of light at Discord, grazing him little, burnt fur and feathers flying down in the air. Discord flew woozily, trying to recover his balance. He was falling down, and if he had fell any further, Discord would have tumbled onto the ground. His yellow eyes confused, it only took a short amount of time to snap out of the confusion. This had made Luna shiver, though she tried not to show a bit of fear, Luna could not help it. The battle that Discord and I face will be long, she thought. But, the darkness runs to my sister and my friend. I cannot take long. Luna tried casting a spell on him that would slow him down temporarily, but was interrupted by the strike of a lightning bolt. By the gods, the strike was so lethal and electrifying, that it made her freeze for a short period of time. Discord laughed. Luna had fallen. Crashing onto a cloud, she looked up at the hysterical Discord and snarled with disgust. Quickly, the moon got up and dived straight down to the sacred land of Equestria, making a u-turn, charging directly at him. Discord on the other hand, was caught off guard. He was still laughing at her. She gained momentum, like a sniper bullet waiting to assassinate it's directed target, and turned into a huge spear of silvery light. The velocity and power would kill a pony, Luna knew, but this was something different. If she lost, the battle would already be over, and the moon would have been lost. So, Luna came up with a plan as she striked. Discord was astonished. Luna had hit him so hard that he'd thought he actually be split in half. But, he was wrong. He was teleported, injured and roughed up, he was sent somewhere in Luna's prison. Discord was pale, and hurt badly. Coughing up a bit of his blood, he knew that he had wasted only a little bit of his magic, but had something planned. So, Discord stayed in his cell, and fell unconscious. Luna, however, was badly hurt. Scratched up, and bleeding, she flew to Celestia's castle with a wing that was injured horribly. So, she raced up to their room. I need to hurry, for there's no worry on my sister's and colleague's side. The darkness is coming, for this is truly bona fide... Starswirl was on the verge of falling asleep. He was worried about that lightning bolt he saw outside of Celestia's window in the clouds (and also Celestia), but he was sure that it was nothing. Just a couple of minutes, Starswirl thought. He summoned his bed next to him, and moved it to a safe distance from Celestia's. Starswirl laid on his bed, and rested. Nothing bad could happen... Someone had slammed open the door. Starswirl heard, but pretended to sleep. He had his staff next to him, so he kept it close to him. The pony was getting closer, and closer as time passed. In a flash, Starswirl had got out of bed, facing the intruding pony. Who art thou!? I will shoot you, for my magic is no joke! Calm down, Starswirl. It is only me. I have urgent news, for it is not in a tolerable degree. I see. Forgive me, for I was only protecting thee. Luna nodded in thanks. She explained the news of what happened to the night guard, and also Discord. Starswirl was shocked. The darkness was coming in through the land, and now was the time to execute a quick-thinking plan. Starswirl woke up Celestia (though she accidently slapped him with her hoof), to discuss a quick plan. Celestia, too was informed, so she told the others she already had a plan. What is your plan, sis? We need to think fast, for we are not in bliss. Mm. We are certainly not in bliss. We need to separate. The darkness is too powerful, according to the 'reports' of my guards. I will give my disregards after I teleport all of us away. For we shall find eachother, another day. Starswirl and Luna's face darkened. They knew, that if Celestia said that they were too dangerous, this was the best decision. But, what of the people, Starswirl thought. Celestia assured Starswirl thought the people will not be harmed. They will be unconscious, until they rid of the darkness, and save the world. Luna nodded her head in agreement. Starswirl thought twice about her choice, but nodded anyway. And so, Celestia gathered up a immense amount of magic, and sent everyone besides Luna, Celestia, and Starswirl to sleep. Luna had told the two to illuminate brightly. Celestia smiled, and told them to stay bright. Starswirl, nodded, and told the princesses to shine brightly. And so, the three were sent to different places in Equestria. But, as a side effect, they were all knocked out in the process... Chapter 2 (Starswirl's Side)...A silence had filled the air. Starswirl had smelled the forest's herbal scent, and awakened groggily. It took a moment for Starswirl to regain his senses, but woke up quickly. He looked around, for he realized that the controller of the stars was actually sitting in an ancient ruins. Starswirl looked up into the calm, strange sky. My god, help us all, he thought to himself while he made a grim face. The sun was gone. Darkness had engulfed the land. Though, it was not as Starswirl predicted, he thought of pitch black darkness, and nothingness. No, he said to himself, the world was darker than before (somewhat foggier as well), but light had still emitted from the sky. His power, and Starswirl's magic was gone. What was this strange world...? This is not logical, not astrological, but, in some way... This is magically possible. Starswirl lowered his head down in shame. If there was something I could do... I wouldn't be in such a blue... Stay positive, we were taught. The words that were ingrained in Starswirl's mind had echoed through him. He was elated, but troubled. Who said those words? Wondering, Starswirl trotted into the Northwestern part of the forest unconsciously. Time had passed, and the magician had dazed into profound thoughts. Many questions that Starswirl thought we left unanswered. Until, he heard a proud and mighty avian voice. Starswirl stopped, and looked around. Starswirl, the Bearded, why are you troubled? Who, I ask, are you? I am troubled, I admit, but I only know the name of me. The conflict is, my memories are a pop quiz... The proud avian flew down in front of the melancholy wizard, and faced him. Starswirl was shocked, for the avian was a Phoenix. The race was endangered, because they were hunted for their beautiful, blazing feathers. Starswirl frowned upon the mistakes the pony race had made, but quickly changed his face as he sensed a feeling of trust towards him. He smiled. Follow me, for we are in the Everfree. Mm. The phoenix and the bearded wizard had traveled far into the north. He did not question him. The trip was silent and peaceful, but somewhat unsettling too. The darkness, Starswirl thought. He shivered with a chill up his spine, even though he was warm (from both the phoenix and his hat and cape). Starswirl opened his mouth to say something, but he was interrupted by the majestic bird. We are almost there, please prepare. The duo enters a town. Such a happy looking place, Starswirl thought. But, it's a shame that the town had been engulfed in darkness, the wizard said. They traveled far into the middle of the town, for they had reached the town hall. The phoenix stopped there, and Starswirl had done the same as well. A pony had emerged from the foggy world that the two sat in, hooded, their face indecipherable. It had dropped its hood, making his face visible. The pony's figure was muscular and mysterious. The upper part of his body, armored in iron. He wore a king's cape under it. The "king" had black hair, and red eyes... It was King Sombra, only he did not have an evil aura and the horn... He was completely normal and sane. But, Starswirl did not know, for his memory was lost. Hello, wizard. You are confused, that I see, for the answers you seek are merely within thee. I see. The memories are flowing within me... Arrrghhhhh! Starswirl had groaned. His eyes glowed white, and the stallion had fell into a deep gaze. He had entered a vivid, and dreamy world. Starswirl saw a celestial and elegant alicorn, white, with a sun cutie-mark. Her hair was majestic and colorful, flowing beautifully. He could not speak, nor touch anything. He was a ghost. Starswirl saw himself go up to the alicorn, and formally introduce himself. The alicorn greeted back. I have heard about your stories, for I am intrigued upon your magic and glories. A wizard you are, but an astrologer and the controller of time... Yes. I am glad to meet you, Princess of the Sun. Oh, no, please call me... Celestia. Time completely stopped in the vivid world. Starswirl came back into consciousness. His face remained in silent shock as King Sombra and the phoenix watched in interest. Pieces were coming together. Starswirl's knowledge of magic and himself came back to him. He closed his eyes, and summoned his staff back. Starswirl had looked at his acquaintances, and nodded. King Sombra turned to the phoenix. Where is my sword, pride one? Why, I have it here. The sword is quite mighty and heavy for a stallion like you. The phoenix danced in a circle above Sombra, a sword mighty and king-like materializing from the fiery shape. Sombra looked up and caught it with his teeth, looking at the bird with thanks (though, he was a bit insulted at the avian's sarcasm). Together, the trio was armed and ancient-looking. You've seen the darkness that engulfed this beautiful world. I want to stop it from being even more twirled. My empire and kingdom has fallen. I simply fell to the darkness' calling. The world I live in, it had become dark. Let us work together, to rid of the dark weather, and release the world of this horrible time. For the darkness has committed a unforgivable crime. And so, the trio joined in arms, promised loyalty to one another to demolish the darkness that swallowed up this world. They started to travel north of Ponyville. They met creatures along the way that were frozen in time. Dew did not drop from the world, but still grass swayed, and the weather changed. Days past, the sun and moon gone, but the stars accompanying the trio. Starswirl had prosperity in him, the phoenix proud and happy as well. The two were troubled, however, for they could not usually tell when Sombra was happy. He only showed little expressions, but was kind and friendly. Close to the waterfalls of Canterlot, the team had rested on a bridge that gave a view of the fancy city (as well as their waterfalls) and also the sight of Ponyville and the Everfree Forest's huge lake. They all dropped their equipment down onto the bridge, and decided to camp there for the rest of the day. As they slept, the peaceful waters grew wild. King Sombra, the lightest sleeper out of all the team (mainly because of Starswirl's horrendous snoring), awoke in suspicion. He got out of his tent, and poured water over the fire. So, he waited, and waited... ..... A great and robust splash had made Sombra turn to the big lake. The wave of horror that washed upon his face was astonishing, even for him, the brave king of the Crystal Empire. The image that reflected in his crimson eyes, was the almighty hydra. Sombra had sheathed his sword, and dived into the water to slay the watery, scaly beast. The hydra did not fear him. He was immense. His blue scales and his yellow, intimidating eyes pierced even the bravest of beasts. There was a disadvantage for Sombra, for the hydra has three minds of its own (three heads). And so, the two powerhouses' eyes met underwater with intensity and fierceness. Sombra's heavy sword shined. The king was agile for his size, for he swam and cut the hydra's stomach with a slash so great, it made the the sea beast stagger and roar in pain. But, just as the stallion prepared to strike again, a lightning bolt struck the hydra, electrifying only him, strangely. Sombra did not see the bolt of lightning, because of the light that emitted from it blinded him. The confused king looked around, his vision blurry... Chapter 3 (Starswirl's Side)Sombra was completely disoriented. His vision was blurry, and swam weirdly. He tried shaking his head, but that did not work. He tried several methods of snapping out of perplexity, but still, it did not work. The angry hydra, however, was smirking with revenge. The creature blew a breath of scalding hot water at Sombra... Suddenly, a pony swam right in front of him and yelled, defendere! A white, bright sphere had formed around the two, both now being inside of the ball. The scalding hot water had no effect on this pony's shield. Inside, though... Vade, confusion! Let this bring him his mind's solution! Sombra had regained his senses, and looked at the pony. This wasn't a pony, for this was his unicorn ally! Starswirl! Boy, was the king glad to see the wizard, for without him he would have died. He wondered about the phoenix, but quickly realized that phoenix's cannot be touched by water (otherwise, she would have been in great pain). Starswirl, was also joyed to see him, but their reunion was quickly interrupted by the crackle of the glass-like shield. I am glad to see you, but realize that we are in a bad... Sight! ...I think you mean 'view'. And so, the shield was then covered in a ball of steam. The sphere of defense was gone, but the duo both came out of the steam, charging at the hydra's heads. They knew that the head's of the hydra would grow back, but the effort was worth a try. In a roaring of both Sombra and Starswirl, the determined wizard stopped charging, and casted a enchantment on the warrior's sword that enlarged the sliver blade. Sombra, proud and concentrated, charged, and threw his immense sword at the scaly necks of the hydras, hoping that it would vanquish the vile sea creature. The roar of the hydra was deafening and cringing. The red-eyed creature glowed bright white, and exploded into spiritual energy. Starswirl smiled big and wide, along with Sombra laughing with a smile. The unicorn swam toward the king, patted his back, and both swam up the surface. But, that energy stopped Starswirl. Starswirl turned around, and saw strange colored bits. Spiritual energy, he thought, confused. Spiritual energy is not to be seen, but he could see it, its form made of bits. Green, purple, and blue bits of spiritual energy. Strange... These bits of spiritual energy are said to bring power. Spells, like fire, ice, and water... Many elements. Starswirl swam calmly to the bits, and waved his hoof around the bits. He could feel knowledge of spells and power coursing through his blood. But, ever so suddenly, he felt part of his memory come back to him. Once again, he groaned. His eyes turned white, the light radiating off of him. This time, he was in a observatory. Everything was dark, but the moon gave light to the magician through the windows. Books, in the astrology category, were scattered everywhere. Starswirl looked like he hadn't slept in days (and was also on the verge of passing out). But, as he judged himself, the him worked very hard, noting the star's formations with a blunt pencil. Protractors and many mathematical tools were scattered upon his desk. Starswirl stopped, looking somewhat amused. He had spent days drawing the moon, its form and details itself. The structure was perfect, no erase marks or mistakes on the laid out paper. Starswirl looked through the observatory's telescope and 'wow'ed in sight of the full moon. It was beautiful. Starswirl, please, sleep, for you will be tired for your daily duty tomorrow. I cannot, for Celestia will be distraught. She had told me to draw the full moon tonight, and it took days memorizing the moon's shape. So, in the name of the princess of light, I cannot go on and ape. And so, time passed in the dream world. Starswirl looked into the dawn sky, and then looked at him. The focused him stroked his middle-aged, white beard and passed out peacefully. Starswirl, intrigued, got up and looked at the drawing. Flawless as ever, he had finished it. He was impressed, for no astrologer could draw this in a matter of days. It would have to take weeks. Ah, poor Starswirl, he works hard for his job. Did you have the picture for me? Ah, I see that thee has fallen asleep. But, haven't you requested this yourself? Yes... I wanted to reminisce. Starswirl has brought pride to oneself. Starswirl was surprised. If Luna had wanted him to go to sleep, then why did he refuse? Because, you work hard to get the work done. his inner consciousness said to himself. Starswirl's stupefaction had quickly turned into understanding. You work hard, not because it's your job... But, becuase it's what you do in life. You move on, even if there is obstacles in your life, he said. That is what everyone has. True strength. Why? Why would you teach me this now, Starswirl thought. Because, something big comes your way. For, this is not child's play. I am Luna. Princess of the moon and night. Starswirl was amazed. It was the same voice in his dream. We do not have time to discuss, my energy is brusk. Goodbye, Starswirl. And, in a speed faster than the mind could tell, he went back into reality, and swam up onto the water's surface. He felt stronger than before, but astonished as ever. The phoenix flew up to the shocked wizard and asked what's wrong. Swim up onto Gaia, and get out of the water. Before you get a cold, Starswirl The Old. Bold. You're nothing but a bird, who's power is uncontrolled. That sour comeback greatly insulted the proud avian. It's true, however, in battle, this phoenix's power is uncontrolled... Philomena's Side, after King Sombra went to fight the hydra Mighty bird, awake from your slumber. Our friend is in the water, cumbered. The bird awoke. What!? How could this be, she thought. Philomena flew a safe distance above Sombra. He was fighting a hydra. One of the most dangerous creatures in the sea (besides kraken). Instinctively, she ordered Starswirl to accompany him in battle. Starswirl agreed, casting a lighting bolt upon the creature. The thunderclap instantly woke Philomena up quickly. She cawed in short surprise. Starswirl dived into the murky water. Suddenly, hoofsteps approached. Who's there!? .... The approaching pony did not answer. A dark, black beam almost hit her as she flew toward the hoofsteps. Quickly, she flew up into the sky, and found that the pony that approached, was a pegasus. The pegasus, gray colored, was hooded, equipped with only a wicked looking grimoire. Grimoires can be used to cast spells easily. It did not matter what race of pony you were, if you knew the spell, you could cast it at the specific target. And so, the battle began. The pegasi quickly mumbled a spell from the book, and a monsoon began in front of the fire bird. Being fast, Philomena back away with a pained caw, as numbers of blazing feathers from her were scattered around. Oh, yeah, that got her good, for she was struggling to fly properly. Again, the pegasus was casting a spell, but it was longer. She recognized the words as it came out (a water spell). Now's the time to strike, she thought. Philomena flew up into the starry sky, and gave a caw that shook the pegasi, like a subwoofer's bass full blast. That caw had also made a huge explosion of fire, burning everything, and setting things ablaze. The pegasus tried running, but the flames engulfed her. Whoah. I didn't mean to cause a wildfire, she thought. Philomena flew down. Looking around, fire was still present, the trees burning, the road painted with fire... Yeah. Pretty much everything (she was very careful, Philomena did not burn the team's equipment). But, there was a side effect to using her power, she could not control it, for the power was too strong. She cawed, flying horribly. Fire was seeping out of her. She was losing it. Capit hoc avian potestate! A wave of relief swept over Philomena. Her power was now in her control, and the fire that once seeped out of her was brought back in. She looked around, and saw King Sombra. She thanked him (how does he know a spell, she wondered), and noticed Starswirl surfacing into the world above. She flew over to him. Presently How did you know? For you must have not noticed anything else... I knew, because I can see things that no pony can see. Remember, I am the controller of the stars. They report to me. Chapter 4 (Luna's Side)Right after Starswirl's battle with the hydra Luna could only hear wind at this point. The smell of rain and wind... This place was familiar. She could not remember. Few minutes had past, and Luna got up, sleepy and in pain. Luna could not see anything for the time being, because she had a migraine. It hurt badly for her, it made her light-headed, and she stumbled, trying to regain her balance. Luna fell, and passed out again. Lady, are you okay? Or did you lose your way? Luna jolted up on her hooves. The migraine had turned into just a normal headache, not that bad... But, not that good. She looked at the pony, and found that it was one of the famous Wonderbolts. Soarin! He was out of his uniform, but still, Luna had squealed like a cute little girl would, she had fan-girled. Soarin, however stood there chuckling, and somewhat amused. Soarin hasn't got this much attention before (He has, but she knew the royal Princess Luna. It was an honor to be admired by a princess). No, no, no, I am okay! Though, I-I am worried about you... A-Are you astray? Soarin did not answer her question, for he was not sure where he was going. Soarin had lost his way. Luna looked at him with sympathy, and smiled. Luna had lots of experience with everypony's sorrow. This was normal for her, but she dealt with it. Making a bold move (to Soarin, to be specific), she hugged Soarin, and kept him close to her. Soarin's expression quickly changed. He had a flushed red face, and a satisfied smile. He did not know why he smiled like that, for it was strange and also kind of... wonderful too. Soarin could not recall what emotion this was. He was not sure if it was love, or the sense of friendliness... But, he wanted this to last. So, Soarin stayed in Luna's embrace for a long time, and closed his eyes. Luna however, was a little flustered (This is a dream come true, she thought) herself, but she kept embracing Soarin. She could smell Soarin's hair, for it was the scent of the ocean breeze. Luna liked that. Time went by, and the two sleeping ponies awoke in the moonlight. Soarin, suddenly remembering earlier had once again blushed in embarrassment. Luna remembered as well, but daydreamed about it. Oh, her sweet prince, she smiled lovingly. But, reality had grabbed her out of her own world, for a wild dragon flew in front of her. She jumped back, surprised. Soarin looked at the dragon with hate. Behold, the Dragon of Cloudsdale. The same dragon that ate my people, for it had first appeared on Cloudsdale's steeple. Luna just realized that she was in Cloudsdale. Luna was so focused on Soarin, that she didn't have time to analyze where she was. The atmosphere was swallowed in darkness, yes, but she expected it to be much worse. The waterfalls moved, but the rainbows lost all of it's color... The sky too, was strange. But, that was not important. Right now, there was the fabled dragon of Cloudsdale she had to deal with. Luna looked to Soarin, and saw him bring a small, sharp dagger out. Luna only had magic to use, so she stayed behind Soarin. Soarin charged first into the dragon, and started slashing continuously, repeating the pattern, but slashing and stabbing in different directions. Blood was oozing out of the dragon's wounds. The dragon roared, pushing back Soarin. Soarin became stunned, for he could not move. The dragon blew a breath of sharp air that acted like talons straight at him. He dodged most of the sharp talons, but cut by the last, it had got his left leg. But, ever so suddenly, the dragon started to move in slow-motion. He looked at Luna, the princess smiling. Soarin smirked, and started to strike again. Luna tried her best to support Soarin, for she gave him a spell that would let him regenerate health, and heal his wounds instantly. The bad thing is, though, that spell costed lots of magic. She could not do anything, for most of the spells she knew were all so extreme in power. She noticed that Soarin was not slashing anymore. He was... Stabbing. The dragon blew his breath lots of times, but Soarin being agile and fast (Wonderbolt training), dodged all of the talons. The dragon roared once again, except louder and mightier than all of his previous yells. It pushed back Soarin greatly, the dragon taking a huffs, and a puffs of air... The dragon created a tornado of his talon-like breath, and launched it at both, Luna and Soarin. Soarin and Luna both astonished, gaped at the tornado. There was no way they could avoid that. As the tornado, engulfed the two up, they were becoming injured minute by minute. When was this going to end, Luna whined. Soarin, head-strong, charged into the dragon, and cut through its neck. Time froze... And, light glowed from the dragon, exploding of bits of light that spread into the sky, giving Cloudsdale it's usual spark back. The ponies that lived inside the city were now awake, since the darkness of the town was gone. Luna recalled the legend of Cloudsdale's dragon, for it was slain a long, long time ago. Did the darkness bring it back? But, as she wondered, the injured Soarin flew up to her, and bowed in thanks. Luna panicked, and flustered, nodded. She was happy. Suddenly, Luna fainted. Not because of Soarin, but because of her stamina. She was tired, and all of the pain that the adrenaline took away, had washed onto her. The battle was long, and now, Luna had to rest. Soarin carried her to Cloudsdale's hospital, and let the nurses and doctors treat her. The locals of Cloudsdale were worried for Soarin. They offered help, but he refused. He went to the bakery to get some sweets for both him and Luna. But, as he waited for his order, Soarin was approached by Thunderlane. Soarin was still in high school, and so was Thunderlane. They were the best of friends. Yo, Thunderlane. I thought you took the train, you said you were moving. Ah, I was. But, I changed my mind. I couldn't leave a friend hanging. Chapter 5 (Luna's Side)Luna, please awake for I have brought you angel cake... Luna groaned with annoyance. Soarin closed his eyes and chuckled. He had spent an hour after talking to Thunderlane, trying to wake Luna up, but in his effort he only got groans and moans. Soarin was patient with the healing Luna, because he knew what it was like trying to wake his sleep-deprived mother up. Luckily, he got his mother a good sleeping schedule, being the mature and kind-hearted stallion he is. In a way, Luna was like Soarin's mother, at least, that's what he thought. Leave me be, Soarin, for I do not want to hear your wild roaring. Soarin sighed, and pulled the blanket off of her hospital bed as Luna shivered and scrambled around for it. He then opened all the windows in Luna's room, and which then Luna groaned louder. Soarin then poked her patiently with his wing. All of this made Luna open her eyes and flap her lips. She looked at Soarin grumpily, while Soarin looked back with the same look, to mock her. Luna's grumpy look turned into a snicker, and then into a laugh. Soarin smiled, and laughed along too. T-that is not what I look like, Soarin! B-but, the face you were making was hilarious, I just had to jest! And so, after minutes of laughing, Luna got out of bed and sat in the fluffy, soft, and white cloud chair, putting her forearms onto the table, looking the same as the chair she sat on. She felt somewhat satisfied, for she hasn't gone to Cloudsdale in such a while. Soarin, on the other hoof, was preparing the angel cake with a smile as usual. He brought out plates, and made coffee. As everything was prepared, Soarin brought out the coffee and cake. Luna dined on the angel food like a princess would. Soarin, tried his best to eat royally like her, but struggled. She took notice of the troubled Soarin, and taught him what to know about table etiquette. He listened closely. After the meal, the happy princess looked outside into the dim, but bright world. Sure, most of the darkness was gone, but all she could see in the world before her, was light and darkness combining. Luna frowned at the thought of not seeing the moon, the sun, and the stars, as well as the true colors of this world. Because, it was simple philosophy and logic to accept that there has to be light and dark. She then thought about Celestia and Starswirl. Luna, I need to ask you, one thing. What is it, wonderbolt? If there is both light and dark, what if the two disappeared? Then the world, would be empty. Light and dark is what accompanies this world to make life. Light is needed to bring warmth, kindness, and everything good into the world. Darkness is needed to balance the world of harmony, to create the fire within everyone, and to see the stars, the moon, and the sun. ...I see. Soarin look amused as he stared into the abyss of dim light in front him. Luna, now feeling profound, stared into the world as well. Luna, having a puzzled face, realized that the world is here for everypony to figure out and to live in. The answer to why was to understand the space and the entire galaxy that everypony was standing in. Theories were, in her opinion, were just a bunch a of blasphemy. Even though everyone only uses about ten to twelve percent of their brain, we can achieve a higher understanding by figuring out almost everything. Sure, there are things that help use seventy-eight to ninety percent of the brain, but to understand the meaning of life and space is the nirvana that all life wishes to gain. She smiled, and felt amazed over the words she thought in her mind. Her mind is all the proof she needed to prove that knowledge that is unknown can be used, to create a better understanding of everything. Time and space was needed to create this world, and whether it was created by a god or not, the structure of this entire world was intriguing. Luna could not stop thinking. She was oblivious to the world around her, and drifted off into the wonders of everything. Soarin, thought about how far he had gone in his life. He was willing to go even farther. Soarin smiled, with a passionate and intense fire blazing inside of him. He was happy that he was known throughout the world, but he wanted to change the world in a good way. He wanted to prove that he was not just some Wonderbolt. He wanted to be the wonders of this world. Soarin then made a fierce and determined face. If he didn't succeed in trying, he would get back up, and try again, no matter how hard it is to retaliate. The thing that kept Soarin going, was his father. As a young child, his father said to never give up, and to live a life to remember. He realized that the book of his life was being written by his actions, thoughts, and words. Nothing could stop Soarin from his dream. He wanted to make the world a better place, and also to live a life he would remember. No matter how hard reality is, nothing could ever stop the Wonderbolt. Suddenly, the Luna's door flew open, causing both Soarin and the princess to recoil back into consciousness, the adrenaline flowing within them. It was the one of the hospital's nurses. She looked concerned. There's a blue jewel that came out of the creature's stomach. Mind taking a glance? Sure, no problem. Both Soarin and Luna looked at the azure jewel curiously. It was glowing, and the aura then consumed both of their minds. The aura took form into the word, 'Loyalty.'. The duo inferred that it was the jewel of Loyalty. A basic, but needed element of friendship. But, wait, that didn't make any sense, Luna thought. The dragon did not represent any loyalty whatsoever. She looked at Soarin curiously. Soarin, was there any tales or examples of the dragon's Loyalty? There was... There was a tale in which the dragon used to be lonely, but gentle. The dragon had no friends, which caused him to be lonely. He also wanted a friend, and he had no intention of harming the world or life. And so, an unknown pony talked to the dragon, and became friends with the gentle creature. They became the bestest of friends, and lived together happily, years after years. But, there was a consequence. Yes. The pony was dying, and asked the dragon to hear his/her wish. What was their wish? To protect the world of everything that brought the world disharmony. Of course, the dragon was loyal, and carried out the pony's wish. Why did he attack us, then? I can only assume he was being controlled, or he was angry. By who then? I do not know.
Chapter 1Once upon a time, the sun, the stars, and the moon met up together to analyze this evil that was coming to Equestria.
