Spike and Rainbow: Idiots at Large
It was a quiet Saturday evening and all throughout Ponyville people were calm. There had been no monster attacks, weird magic spells, or impending doom. It was a calm night. Was. For you see, Rainbow Dash had plans of her own. She was awake and wanted to do something exciting. Why was she awake? For the simple reason that two days ago she took an all day weather service and yesterday she took an all day nap. Yup, that's Rainbow Dash for you. She thought of all the people she could hang out with tonight.
There's Rarity. No, she'd just want to give me a makeover. Rainbow asked. Twilight would read. Applejack would be fast asleep. Pinkie is on vacation. Fluttershy is doing her "Live with the Animals" thing. Hmm. What about Spike? He's a dragon, he's cool, and he can make good food. I don't see the harm in... What was I going to do again? Whatever, I'll ask him what he wants to do when I get there.
Rainbow then continued to silently exit her house and flew to the Friendship Castle. She flew through the window and into the room.
She went up to his and whisper "Hey, Spike."
There was not respond. Rainbow knew she would have to take more drastic measures if she wanted to have some fun tonight. So, she poked Spike. And she pokes him again. And again. Each time getting increasingly harder until it turned into more of a punch. After a few more punches Spike screamed in pain and jumped.
"Shhhh" Rainbow whispered as she covered Spike's mouth with her hoof.
"Dash, what are you doing here? At night? The time where ponies sleep." Spike replied.
"Uh. I wasn't tired at all and I got bored. So, I wanted to hang out with someone and I chose you. You should be honored." Rainbow stated.
"Wow, I really am." Spike said sarcastically.
"So, do you wanna hang out...?" Rainbow asked.
"I guess, I mean, since I'm already awake" Spike said while yawning.
"Cool! So, whaddaya' wanna do?" Rainbow asked.
Now you see every story has one part where if someone had made a different decision, **everyone would've been fine. As I said, these two weren't (and aren't) the smartest.**
"I dunno, wanna look for treasure or something?" Spike asked.
And that's also why you never ask a baby dragon what he wants to do.
"Yeah. We could go to the Everfree and look in caves!" Rainbow replied excitedly.
And that's another reason why you don't ask an egotistical pony who is up for whatever.
"Sure! That actually sounds like fun..." Spike stated.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Rainbow whisper yelled.
But before they left Spike did the only smart thing he would do this night and left a note on his bed for Twilight to read if she checked his room and he wasn't there. So, the duo continued to open the door, tiptoe down the stairs, and slip out the door into the night. The walked silently through Ponyville and into the Everfree. Once they were at a safe distance from Ponyville, they started to talk again.
"So, which cave?" Rainbow asked.
"How about... this one?" Spiked replied.
"Sure, looks like a treasure cave to me." Rainbow stated.
The two then started to enter the cave which looks like it had been entered before, for it had had some torches in it. Little did the duo know, something else was happening in Ponyville. For today was the day of an earthquake. Everyone in Ponyville was safe, in fact it might be a little fun. The Everfree, though, was unpredictable which is why in the earthquake training seminar (which Spike and Rainbow slept through) Twilight closed off the Everfree for a day. Now, back to the duo. They felt a shaking under their feet.
"What's happening?" Rainbow asked.
"I don't kn-oh shit. I just remember. The earthquake Twilight has been mentioning all week is Tonight." Spike stated grimly.
"WE GOTTA GET OUTTA' HERE" Rainbow yelled.
And right as she said that the front of the cave collapsed leaving them trapped and alone.
9:00 pm - Spike and Rainbow are Trapped | 12 Hours until Rescue
"We're fucked." Rainbow said.
