Rainbow Knots

"Aloe!" Lotus called out. "You're on massage duty today!" Aloe was excited at the moment. For the past days all she ever did was give hooficures and stuff. She's always wanted to heal ponies' aching backs using her excellent massaging skills.

The bell at the door rang like crazy. AJ walked in with cracked, dirty hooves. "Oh, Miss Applejack!" Lotus cried out in horror. "Look at your hooves!" AJ explained that she fell in a deep pot hole and hurt her hooves deeply.

"Ah'd like a nice, gentle hooficure, Lotus," she said. And with that, Applejack sat down and had her hooves filed for about 20 minutes.

After that, Lotus said, "How are you feeling, Miss?"

AJ replied, "Like I could walk all the way to the Everfree Forest without gettin' tired at all."

"Oh, how is your friend Miss Dash?"

"Good. Ah just wish she would at least try this stuff for once. Ah know she's a daredevil, but this can help her with any kind of pain."

"Oh, I hear you. I remember the one time I tried to give Miss Dash a hooficure, but she just stood up and yelped 'I don't like ponies touching my hooves!' I wonder why the poor thing is so sensitive."

The bell rang again. A high voice said cheerfully, "It's Pinkie Pie!" She walked in with a smile on her face but her eyes were very puffy. "I'd like a mud mask, please."

Lotus gasped. "Miss Pie, what happened?!"

"Well, Cheese Sandwich and I were celebrating Rainbow Dash's birth-iversary, when all of a sudden, I fell on top of Fluttershy and her face was swollen and my eyes were puffy and Fluttershy was all, 'Oh, maybe the spa ponies can take care of that. I'm going to the hospital.' and Rainbow Dash was wondering why Fluttershy left and started crying and then I was all 'Rainbow, she got hurt.' and Rainbow Dash was all 'Okay I understand.' and then everypony else at the party ran away and Rainbow kicked me in the face and ran away crying and then I started crying and everything was all WHAT THE HECK and I was trying to EAT A STINKING CAKE TO CALM DOWN BUT IT JUST DIDN'T WORK! huff huff huff huff"

"Miss Pie, please calm down."

And with that, Pinkie was in the hot tub with her mud mask that included the cucumbers for her eyes. "I wish Rainbow Dash was here. I bet she'd love this. But she doesn't want to be remembered as a softie." Lotus nodded.

"Thanks, Lotus!" Pinkie yelled cheerfully as she walked out the door.

The bell rang again. It was obvious who was at the door.

Lotus had a big smile on her face. "Hello, Miss Rarity! What can we help you with?"

"I have enough time for a quick sauna session today."

Lotus prepared some hot rocks and poured warm water on top of them. "Okay, Miss Rarity. You may get in now."

Rarity felt incredibly relaxed. "If Rainbow Dash didn't want to be such a daredevil, she'd adore this. Poor thing. If only she didn't think she was going to be remembered as a softie if she tried this."

After Rarity left, the bell at the door rang again. It was Rainbow Dash.

"Miss Dash?!" Lotus cried out.

Rainbow just stood there groaning and rubbing her aching back.

Aloe was worried. "Miss Dash, do you need a massage?"

Rainbow nodded. "Apparently I slammed to the ground during my flying practice. Owwwwww..."

After Rainbow made her way to the massage table, Aloe began to gently rub the Pegasus pony's agonized back, causing her to feel better.

"Rarity was right. That does feel good."

Aloe started to get the center of Rainbow's back just as Rainbow was telling her what to do to get her back to stop hurting.

"Okay, a little more to the left, oh, a little to the right, okay, now go up, down a little bit, and...ohhhh...yeah, that's the spot."

Aloe finished off by continuing to massage the most painful spot on Rainbow's back. "Thank you so much, Aloe. My back feels so much better."

As Rainbow walked out the door, Aloe and Lotus stared at each other for a long time. Then, at the same time, they said, "What the HECK?!"

Rainbow told AJ, Rarity, and Pinkie all about her massage. "Wow!" they said.

Rainbow looked at Rarity and said, "I underestimated you. That was the best thing I ever experienced."

Rarity giggled. "Oh, darling, of course it was. It's a massage, for pony's sake! I've had hundreds of these, you gosh darn silly pony!" Rainbow, Applejack, and Pinkie laughed along with her. Rainbow Dash zipped around in circles until she got dizzy and finally said, "Yep, that massage got me COMPLETELY energetic!"

And they all had a good laugh again.
