Chapters "1" The Cave
Its been two years since magic came to Canterlot High, it stills shock Fluttershy when she gets a magical tail and ears every time she sings. It does help when she has to keep her animal friends in line, and she loves singing songs to them and playing with the wooden creatures behind Canterlot High.
"Oh no, I'm going to be late for class", Fluttershy said as she notice the time.
When she told all of her animal friends she would be back later, she notice one was not in sight. Her most lovable bunny Angel was no where to be seen.
"Oh dear, Angel where are you girl. Come out okay I'm going to be late for class. Angel!" Fluttershy called over and over for her bunny but she was no where. Fluttershy started to get worried, though the woods closer to Canterlot High was okay she has never been deeper into the woods and she could only wonder what danger lie ahead. Even if she was late for class she could not leave her poor Angel to the dangers that slept in the woods.
She started to walk far into the woods and could not keep her whimpers down. She knew something was in these woods but she couldn't put her finger on it. Then she saw something that caught her eye the whiteness of a poofy tail.
"Angel there you are, oh girl come here", Fluttershy said as she jumped with joy to her bunny.
"You can't go off on your own I was afraid you got hurt or lost and I would never see you again", Fluttershy softly scolded Angel.
The bunny looked sad at first, then struggled in Fluttershy arms and then hopped out of her hold. Fluttershy was shocked, Angel never been a bad bunny and would never try to get away from Fluttershy.
"Angel what's wrong, are you hurt and I didn't see it", Fluttershy ponder.
The bunny always seem to understand Fluttershy and started to shake its head as best it could. Then hopped up and down to show it was fine, but turned to the deeper part of woods. Fluttershy tried to stop Angel from going into the woods but the bunny looked like she had something to show her.
"Okay, okay! I'll go see what you want to show me, but stay close to me and at the first sign of danger we are turning back."
They walked for a while until they happen to be in front of low dark cave. Fluttershy just stood there and then looked at her bunny hopping up and down in front of the cave opening.
"Clearly Angel doesn't want me to go into this dark cave ", Fluttershy ponder.
When the bunny notice that Fluttershy wasn't going to go in she started to hop and hope her owner would follow. Fluttershy had no other option but to go in the cave to get Angel, even if she was so scared she could pass out.
The cave got brighter as they went deeper in, it was a sight to be seen. Fluttershy looked around her and wonder what was in this cave and why she has never heard about it before. Her fear started to leave as she looked around the cave it was so pretty and some of the rocks gave off a soft glow.
"What kind of place is this, no wonder Angel wanted to show me this ", Fluttershy thought as she continued to look around in awe.
She was so at peace in this cave that she almost forgot about the time, and couldn't waste anymore time in this cave. She picked up Angel and started to leave the cave, as she got to the opening of the cave she heard something that gave her a shiver up her spine.
"Fluttershy, come back anytime ", the cave seem to whisper.
Back at Canterlot High the girls were talking in front of Rainbow Dash's locker.
"Hey ya'll have you guys seen Fluttershy anywhere", Applejack asked.
"Nope, have seen her anywhere, its not like her to miss class. I wonder maybe she went to a super secret party and didn't invite us", Pinkie Pie said with a giggle.
The girls didn't respond to Pinkie Pie and continued to wonder about the whereabouts of Fluttershy. Just as Rainbow Dash was about to go help look for her; Fluttershy came rushing in.
"I made it finally", Fluttershy said between breaths.
"Oh darling you are sweaty and you have a twig in you hair", Rarity said as she remove the twig.
"What were you doing to look like you ran for 20 miles", Rainbow asked.
Fluttershy didn't know what to say, not till she knew more about the cave and the secrets it held so she could only do one thing.
"I had to chase Angel down she got lost during our morning walk. It took me sometime to track her down", Fluttershy said without trying to look guilty of not telling them the whole truth.
The others looked at each other and then back to Fluttershy with worried expression. It seemed liked they wanted to asked her more questions but then the bell rang.
"Oh well I already missed one class don't want to miss anymore. See you guys at lunch", Fluttershy said as she walked down the hall.
She turned back to see her friends giving her strange expression, and she did hate lying to them; but she didn't know why but she knew she had to keep this cave a secret.
Deep in the cave something was glowing and awaking, it knew magic was close and it needed more. The glowing rocks all seemed to shine to one place and the secret in the cave knew where it could get more magic.
"FLUTTERSHY ", the cave whispered over and over.
Author's Note
Now I already have a thought of what's going to be in the cave but I love new ideas so if you like tell me I might add it or write a new story just based on one idea that looks like it could work.
"2" Mystery Book
Throughout the day Fluttershy could not get that mystery cave out of her head. She knew something was in there and she didn't know why but she knew she had to find out what it was. At lunch, she noticed that her friends were all looking at her.
"Um, guys why are you all looking at me like that", Fluttershy asked barely above a whisper.
The girls looked at each other then back to Fluttershy. "Fluttershy, darling, we were wondering if you were okay? You kind of seem lost in your own world today", Rarity said.
"Yeah, its like you are hiding something, which I think is weird considering your Fluttershy", Sunset Shimmer said.
Fluttershy didn't know what to say she couldn't talk about the cave yet so she had to lie again even though she hated it.
"I'm fine, and I'm sorry to worry you guys. I was just wonder how I can ask Pinkie Pie to help me throw a party for Angel", Fluttershy said while smiling at Pinkie.
"A party! Why didn't you say so, I love throwing parties and I already have an idea of an amazing party for Angel. So give me details when, where, and what kind of cupcakes do you want", Pinkie said already pulling out her party book.
The girls all started to feel better and started to talk about the party, all but Applejack. Ever since magic came back and she represents honesty, she couldn't put her finger own it but she had a feeling that Fluttershy didn't have a party own her mind.
When the day ended Fluttershy hurry to her locker, she wanted to check the cave before it got too late. She was so buy putting her stuff away she didn't notice Applejack coming up from behind her.
"Hey Fluttershy, the girls are going to the Cake's coffee shop do you want to come with?" Applejack asked.
"Sorry Applejack, but there is something I have to do so I'll see you guys tomorrow", Fluttershy said as she rushed out the front doors.
The other girls all gathered around Applejack as they look at Fluttershy leave the school.
"I wonder where she going in such a rush", Sunset Shimmer inquired.
"Yeah, I wanted to asked her some more things about the party, and I can't do that if she is not here", Pinkie said with a frown.
All the girls agreed and then looked back at the now vacant doors that Fluttershy rushed through. Apple made a promise that she would let Fluttershy weirdness go for now, but tomorrow she was going to get to the bottom of the big secret that she feels Fluttershy is keeping.
When she was far away from Canterlot High she let Angel out of her bag. She hoped that Angel remember how she found the cave because this time Fluttershy was going to make a mental note of how to get there own her own.
"Angel, sweetie. I was wondering if you knew the way to the cave you showed me earlier. I want to see those pretty rocks once more", Fluttershy asked while petting her bunny's head.
The bunny just looked at Fluttershy and started hopping up down then started to make its way through the woods. Fluttershy had to hurry not to lose Angel but also had to remember the surrounding as well to get here by herself. Finally they made it to the cave opening and Fluttershy wasn't as scared as before to enter the cave.
She looked around and couldn't get over how beautiful the cave looked with the low glow rocks, she felt so at peace around these rocks. Then that weird feeling came back, and this time she knew she heard something.
"Fluttershy! Welcome Back ", the cave whispered.
Fluttershy looked all around her to find the source of the voice but the cave was empty and there is no way that the voice was coming from Angel. She walked around the cave and then she notice something about the glowing rocks; they all seemed to be glowing toward one direction. She followed the path the glowing rocks were giving until she was in front of a small hole.
Inside the hole was a small red and brown book, and it seemed to shine with the help of the glowing rocks. "Did someone else find this cave and lose there book ", Fluttershy wonder. As she went to pick up the book she got that weird shiver up spine and pulled her hand back. "Maybe I shouldn't move the book, someone might have put it here on purpose ", Fluttershy thought.
Just then Angel jumped over the hole and as Fluttershy tried to grab her she missed and her hand touched the book. As soon as her hand touched the book the glowing rocks started to shine to brightly that Fluttershy had to cover her eyes. When the glow went dimmer Fluttershy finally could see what was going own around her. When she looked up she couldn't believe her eyes and the place of the book there was a boy her age, just staring at Fluttershy.
At the time Fluttershy didn't know how much power her touch could change the world.
Author's Note
Yeah, I know its kind of long wind and I also hate reading things with questions unanswered. I also feel that it makes you want to know what going to happen next.
Fluttershy looked at the boy who seemed to come from the glowing book and wonder how or why he was there. Then she notice something that made her blush and look away from the boy.
"Oh my! You are... um. Not wearing any clothes", Fluttershy said in a shy whisper.
The boy looked a Fluttershy and wonder why she was there, and the he took in her words. He looked at himself and then made clothes somewhat similar to the girl in front of him. After he was dressed he waited for the girl to say or do something.
After waiting a while, Fluttershy looked back at the boy happy that he had something on; now all she had to do now was figure out who this boy was and where did he come from.
"Um... My name is Fluttershy. What's your?" Fluttershy asked shyly looking at the now dressed boy.
The boy took in her words and wonder what he should do, he was trying to get use to everything around him. "Should I tell this girl the truth about myself or give her a lie ", the boy thought. He took a moment to remember everything about himself, from the moment he woke up in this cave. All of a sudden the glowing rocks started to glow so bright that the girl looked away from him; but then his memories came rushing back. He knew what he had to do and why he was in this cave, and the first thing he had to do was get on this girl's good side.
"My name is Dis. Miss Fluttershy I was wondering if you could tell me more about where we are", Dis said in a calm voice, trying not to give anything away with his face.
Fluttershy was happy that the boy seemed nice, so she decided to be nice too and answer his question.
"Right now we are in a cave, as you can see. But if we walk down the path we will be near Canterlot High", Fluttershy said with a smile.
"Canterlot High. If I recall this is a place with no magic, so he really sent to a place where I could have no fun ", he thought with disdain. He looked at the girl and wonder how he got free, if this land has no magic how was freed from the book. "This girl Fluttershy must have some magic if she was able to free me. I should keep her close to absorb more power from her, then when I'm at full strength I can start having some fun", he thought with glee.
Fluttershy was starting to feel that shiver up her spine once more, even if she felt that he seemed nice something felt wrong. She also knew this boy was not normal, maybe he is like Twilight she ponder.
Fluttershy wanted to talk to this boy more and find out more about him but she saw Angel; and the poor thing looked exhausted and they needed to get home. She picked up Angel was about to make her way to the cave opening when the boy grab her hand. Then that weird feeling shot up arm once more and she yelped in surprise.
Dis was shock that one touch from this girl could give off so much magic, he knew she was different but she might be very special to him. He looked up from his hand and looked at Fluttershy kneeling on the ground; it would seem she felt the wave of power as he did. He also noticed how she got a worried expression on her face, he could not let her become afraid of him or he couldn't use her.
"Are you okay? You don't look so good", Dis said in such an innocence voice.
Fluttershy stared at the boy, she truly didn't know what to say everytime he came close she felt something was wrong. Then again maybe it was the cave making her feel so bad; she started to feel weird in these caves even before she met this boy. The boy still holds a lot of secrets that Fluttershy wanted to find out but she felt it was best she leave the cave before anything else happens. She then picked Angel up once more and started to go to the cave's opening; but she stopped and looked at the boy.
"Um.. I don't know who you are, how you got here, or what you want? But I do want to find out! So.... if you want to know more about where you are I'll meet you here in this cave tomorrow morning", Fluttershy said then rushed off.
Dis watched as Fluttershy ran off, when she was out of sight he finally got up and looked around the cave. "So I guess I need to learn more about this land, if I want to have lots of fun ", he thought. He tried to use some of his magic but he was too weak; he didn't know much about this land but knew that girl, Fluttershy, would be able to get him back to full power. He walked to the cave's opening and looked out to the woods. He would learn all he need from the girl tomorrow and then start to have some fun in the morning.
Fluttershy hurried to the cave the next morning after saying hello to her animal friends in the woods. She wonder if the boy would still be there, and most of all if she get that weird feeling she got before. When she happen upon the cave's opening she noticed Dis lying in front. "Did he stay at the cave all night ", she ponder. She walked closer to him trying not to be rude and wake him up, just as she was in front of him his eyes popped open.
"Ahh... Um.. I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you", Fluttershy said.
The boy laughed and looked at Fluttershy, he wonder how one can be so easily startled. He stood up and looked at Fluttershy and thought how much magic he could get from one touch, how much would a surprise hug give him. So he did that hugged her without warning. As soon as he did a huge wave of magic rushed into him, so much that it shocked him that he had to let go of Fluttershy.
Fluttershy was shocked when Dis hugged her, but was scared when she felt that weird shock again so much that she couldn't stand any longer. She was at lost for words; she now knew that the boy was the reason she got the weird feeling but didn't know why. When she could finally stand he walked a few steps away from Dis and just looked at him like gained a new head.
"What did you do to me? It felt like something hit me", Fluttershy asked while not taking her eyes off Dis.
Dis wanted to hug her once more, he felt so powerful and knew that if he touched her a few more times he would be back at full power. He had to be careful with his answer if he said something wrong, Fluttershy would leave and he would lose the magic and information he needed.
"I don't know what you mean. I hugged you because I was glad you came back. I truly have no idea why you felt like something hit you", he said with such calming smile.
Fluttershy couldn't shake the feeling that Dis was hiding something but she had other things she wanted to know and would put weird feeling behind her for now.
"If you don't know what happen, then thats okay. But can you answer my question and tell me were you came from yesterday", Fluttershy asked.
"Ah! Yesterday I woken up from a long sleep but thanks to you I can spread my wings once more."
"So you were inside the book, how did you get in there", Fluttershy asked.
"Well that is something I just can't remember, you see I was in there for so long I trying to remember everything but its going to take some time", he said.
Fluttershy took in his answer and didn't feel like he was lying but something was still not fitting. She wanted to asked more question but noticed the time and if she didn't hurry back she was going to be late for class.
"I have to go now but I can come back later today, so please don't leave. There is still one more question I want to ask you", Fluttershy as she got ready to walk back to Canterlot High.
Dis couldn't let her leave he need more power so he decide that he was going to stick by her till he was back at full power.
"I would like to come with you, there is still so much I don't know and I would like to learn. I figured if I spend some time with you I could learn faster", he said with smile.
Fluttershy was taken back, taking him to the school wasn't a problem; she worried if he would do something if he went. She looked at him and sense that he was telling the truth; as long as he sticks close to me then I can make sure he didn't do anything that would cause attention.
"If you really want to come then that's okay but don't use your magic okay it still kinda new here and I still don't know how to explain you to others", Fluttershy said shyly.
Dis didn't care much about what Fluttershy was saying but if it meant that he was going to get more power from her then he would play it nice. He nodded and they both walked down the path back to Canterlot high.
