"Sonata, what is wrong with you!" Adagio yelled, "What would ever make you do-"
She was dumbfound by the elaborate traps that Sonata had made. There was garlic everywhere and snares ready for an unsuspecting passerby.
"Sonata!" Adagio yelled louder.
Sonata peered over the couch and asked, "How do I know you aren't a vampire?"
Adagio touched one of the strands of garlic. "Happy?"
"Well, since I looked up on the internet that vampires hate garlic, I have made the conclusion that you are not a vampire and can help me to kill Aria."
"Wait-kill?"
"That's the only way to get rid of a vampire. I did research in the few minutes I had to learn how to set a snare trap and how to kill vampires."
"Are you insane? That's Aria, our friend. Vampires aren't real! Stop this madness!"
Sonata stood up and nodded with agreement as Aria walked down the stairs.
Sonata yelled, "VAMPIRE!"
“Adagio, why did you drag me into a closet?”
The door creaked as it shut.
“Because, Sonata, I’m gonna tell you a scaaary story. Ooooooooh!” Adagio raised her arms and fluttered her fingers.
“Ugh, what is it?”
Adagio turned on a flashlight as she sat down next to Sonata and lit up her face.
“The moon was at its peak in the sky, lighting up the land beneath. It seamed peaceful, but things are never as the seem. Lurking in the shadows, was one of the bat ponies that had escaped Equestria through the portal. She was looking for a new friend, or victim. She saw a figure step under a street light. The bat pony, called a vampire in this world, started to creep towards the figure. She saw that it was a girl, her green and purple pigtails waving behind her in the slight breeze.”
“Wait, that sounds a lot like-”
“Sonata, I’m telling a story. Are you going to let me finish or not?”
Sonata tilted her head down and looked up as she nodded.
Adagio cleared her throat and said, “Where did I leave off? Oh, yes, the figure.”
She aimed the flashlight under her chin.
“The vampire gently brushed the tree limbs with her fingertips and the wind picked up, almost on command. The figure turned around and called out, ‘Is anyone there?’ She scanned the area and when she looked back, she was face-to-face with a person with red eyes and long fangs. The vampire lurched forward and sung her fangs into the figure.”
Sonata gasped and put her hands over her mouth.
“The vampire ran back to the portal and to Equestria and left the figure. She stood up wearily, trying to keep her balance, when all of a sudden she grew fangs. Her eyes turned red and a black cape caressed her. And every night of a full moon, she is said to be wandering these very streets, looking for her next victim.”
Sonata pulled her knees close to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. She started to shake. There was someone walking outside the door.
Sonata whispered, “It’s the vampire from your story, Adagio! She’s gonna turn us into vampires!” She sobbed as she finished her sentence.
Adagio rolled her eyes and smiled. “I didn’t think you would take this story so seriously. Why are you so paranoid?”
Just then, Aria opened the door and reached out her arms.
“IT’S THE VAMPIRE! EVERYBODY MAKE A RUN FOR IT!”
Sonata dashed out of the closet and Aria rubbed her eyes.
She turned to Adagio and said, “You guys really need to turn on a light in here.”
