Element of Magic. Loyal friend, loving wife and mother. Ever since her coronation, Twilight has known that her lifetime has increased to immortal. Just like her sister-in-law, mentor, and her teacher's sister, she must bear witness to the ultimate sadness. Twilight listened to the single tone of the EKG with tears streaming down her eyes as she held her now dead son. She screamed and wailed above the monotone sound. The other ponies could only hang their head in grief with tears of their own. The motionless body had one thing: a smile. He was going to join his father, his sister, and his other friends. Twilight hated this. She didn't want her friends and family to leave her. "Twilight..." Spike spoke up as he rested a claw on her shoulder. "It's time to go." "No..." she sniffled. "Twilight." Spike repeated with a little agitation. "We have to go." "Leave me..." she sobbed as she shrugged the claw off her shoulder. Spike could take no more of this. This was the third time she behaved in this manner. With one swift motion, he scooped her up and zoomed out the nearest window as she screamed to let her down. After landing in a nearby meadow, Spike gripped both of her shoulders. "Get a grip on yourself, Twilight!" he shouted. "But I want my son! I want my daughter! I. Want. My. Life!" she screamed as she broke free of Spike's grip. Instead of teleporting or running anywhere, she sat on her haunches and cried. "I know you do, Twi." Spike soothed. "I want Rarity back as much as you do. But I can't. She's-" "Don't you dare say 'she's in a better place,' Spike." Twilight warned. "Because she viewed you as her rock, her foundation." "I know that." Spike sighed. "My whole world was ripped from me when she passed. I know your pain, Twilight." "You just don't get it, do you?" Twilight angrily chuckled. "I am going to outlive you. I must watch as my only family turns into only five ponies. I have to watch as everypony I hold dear to pass on. You don't know the half of it." "Is that so?" Spike challenged, anger boiling inside of him. "Do you not remember how torn I was over her death? Do you not remember the amount of time it took for me to let her go? What you need to do is learn to let go of the past!" His voice raised to above a roar which echoed through the air around them. Twilight's anger was nearing its breaking point. Her mane and tail fluttered like a flame as her coat began to turn stark white and her eyes to a bright crimson. "You are the on who can't handle loss." Twilight hissed venomously. Spike broke. Smoke plumed from his snout and nostrils as his anger became too much. "And you don't know how to let go of anypony!" he roared. Twilight's anger closed. Fresh tears streamed down her cheeks. Spike just realized what had occurred, but before he could do anything, Twilight disappeared in a flash of lavender as she teleported away in a fit of sadness and grief.
