Fluttering Glimmer of Moonlight

Fluttershy timidly looked to her new "cutie mark," feeling its effect on her all too well. Flying was much more of a strain on her, as she could not do it for long, and the fear she already had did not help with that at all. The cold chill of the dark night in this deep trench-bound village left all too much to her imagination. Hearing snaps and howls of beasts that simply weren't there to begin with, but the worst beast of all was right before her.
The lively animated Starlight Glimmer, who has just been soaked by a stray pan of water, was this beast. Fluttershy would rather go face to face with a dragon again before dealing with her. She would face Tirek before she-- scratch that thought, as the very thought in of itself was too much for her to handle. She shook her head and continued to hover next to the window to observe Starlight, who had wiped her dripping wet flank from the watery coat which had covered her. The towel was fairly absorbent, compared to the quality of the other fabrics and textiles in this village of Equilibrium.
Upon moving of the towel, Fluttershy spotted something that she never thought she would see, a cutie mark. A real cutie mark, belonging solely to Starlight Glimmer. She gasped upon seeing this, which triggered a look from Starlight. Fluttershy quickly hid under the platform she flew beside, completely out of sight from the lying unicorn.
How could she do such a thing? She lied and said she gave up her cutie mark to live in harmony with these ponies who did the same? But... they were so happy! And she only used them? That's... terrible!!! I... I cannot stand to allow her to continue to do this, I MUST stop her at all costs!
She heard the hoo of an owl and immediately began shaking again. Her teeth chattering as she prepared to barge in through the door, the thoughts of how she physically and emotionally could not do this. It all was too much for her. She closed her eyes and ran full throttle (at Equilibrium which is about five miles per hour) with her head low as to ram through like a bull.
The door swung open and Starlight Glimmer, her face sporting a typical villainy grin, stopped Fluttershy with magic. Fluttershy, unknowing of this haltation continued to run ahead, but was getting nowhere. Starlight cleared her throat, catching the attention of the pegasus, who gasped in such surprise which mimicked that of a helplessly cornered mouse. Rearing for dear life, Fluttershy tried to escape, but nothing helped as her strength reserves were completely drained after the cutie mark extraction.
"Aww, were you too scared of the outside to continue running away? Or did you just get lost on your way to the bathroom?" Starlight asked in a mocking tone, pulling Fluttershy slightly closer.
"Um... I... didn't want to be such a bother in the middle of the night..." Fluttershy said with a fake smile to try to ease her way back to Starlight's soft side. "So... if it could be arranged, I'd like for you to show me to the bathroom so I could... wash my face?"
Starlight Glimmer laughed in the poor filly's face, smashing her down onto the ground with her magic grip. The wind was squeezed out of Fluttershy, rendering her unable to scream as Starlight pushed her down even harder. Harder and harder.
Fluttershy helplessly clawed at the ground, gasping for air, but could not achieve any intake as her lungs could not expand from the pressure. Tears flooded her vision and the thoughts of death by suffocation filled her brain to no ends. The single thought that she had just reached that one pinnacle of terror which initially almost kept her from leaving the house in the first place: Failure. She would die here, suffocated and crushed like an ant... as a failure.
"What's wrong maggot? Out of breath?" Starlight said in a cocky tone, similar to a chilled drill sergeant. "Unfortunately for you, I knew your scheme all along. Of course they would send you, regardless of your overall statistics in being a 'soft pony' like you are. I mean, seriously? What kind of battle plan is that? They were probably too scared to go for themselves, so they sent the one who they knew would agree to the task. And did you really think you could get you and your friends' cutie marks back that easily? Goes to show how far differences can set apart a community and cause chaos."
No, not like this. Fluttershy fought against the magic with all her might, managing to inhale enough air to speak. She looked to Starlight with rage in her tear-struck eyes. "But I know your secret. You've been... hiding the fact that all along... you never gave up your cutie mark in the first place--"
Adding more pressure, Starlight crushed a high and lengthy satisfying scream of pain from the pegasus trapped by her magic. She sighed and shuddered, as this truly got her off. She licked her lips watching Fluttershy struggle, hearing her groans and feeling her jerks of pain surging through her body into her magic like soothing vibrations.
"You adorable idiot, don't you think that I noticed you when you were spying on me? Quite the pervert you are to watch me as I'm drying myself off," Starlight replied to Fluttershy's previous statement. "You aren't as quick as you think. Hell, even a pegasus filly from my village could fly faster than you even if you did have your cutie mark. You're nothing but a pawn for your friends to use, don't you see? And I can see in your eyes that that's all you've been to them. All because of your special talent."
Starlight was right. Even though she had the lowest courage of all the Elements of Harmony due to her Kindness, Fluttershy was always seemingly to go-to-mare for a sticky situation magic could not handle. She handled the dragon, she reformed Discord, she took on vampire fruit bats and became one for Faust's sake, but those were so she could help out her friends. Those events strengthened their friendship. But... looking at it from Starlight's point of view made Fluttershy feel like a scapegoat. A pawn to handle a dangerous situation because she really was the only one who could handle it. Was it because of her special talent that she was the only one who could handle these situations? Or was it the fact that she was by far the easiest tool in the box to use?
Fluttershy lost her will to fight, letting Starlight's magic to further crush her.
Starlight, seeing that Fluttershy had given up honestly this time, let up from her magic to allow the pegasus to stand, but she kept a leash of magic around her neck to make sure she would not try to escape. "Now, Fluttershy. Are you truly ready to give up your individuality?"
Fluttershy wiped her tears away as she coughed from finally being able to breathe again after nearly being suffocated to death. She looked solemnly to the unicorn, who grinned at her once again with great confidence that she was truly broken this time. But... too broken. Fluttershy did not even give an answer to Starlight's question.
"Unconvinced, eh?" Starlight said with a down tone, but brought it straight back up. "No, I can't send you back to the cell. You'd be surrounded by those friends, they'd lift your spirits back up after I worked so hard to bring them crashing back down. No, I'll surely need a completely different and unorthodox strategy to lure you fully into our little state of true Equilibrium."
Starlight used her magic to grip Fluttershy's tail to pull her into and through the house in that fashion, giving her many splinters and severe carpet burn. The pegasus screamed in pain as the wooden splinters bent and cracked and broke within her skin and drug out fresh blood, then for the carpet to burn her underside and tear away at small chunks of fur, skin, and flesh from the splinters that hooked on to the fabric and had to be snatched off like a leech from its host. Now crying harder than she was before, Fluttershy could not even begin to formulate valid excuses for scream attempts as the unicorn drug her up the stairs remorselessly, with the pegasus hitting her head and chin at each and every step, as these same steps pushed the already deep splinters to dig even deeper and harder into Fluttershy's soft underside.
Laughing triumphantly at her victim's obvious despair, Starlight Glimmer swung Fluttershy into her bedroom, where she had the cutie marks on the table by her bed. The goal was right within her reach, but she was powerless, too much to even think of an attempt to obtain it. This was quite simply for Fluttershy a no-win situation.
"I see you still aren't quite completely broken yet," Starlight sniggered as she held the pegasus tightly with her magic and brought a wooden bucket of water from the bathroom. "And as I recall, you mentioned you wanted to wash your face? Why don't we take care of that now? You're quite a filthy swine if I've ever seen one."
Fluttershy had no time to respond before the unicorn submerged her entire head into the water.
"Come on now, don't be so frantic, Fluttershy! Is this not what you wanted? Are you not entertained?" Starlight cackled as she used her Staff of Sameness to whack at the helpless pegasus' flank as she was drowning under the water. As if a single front battle wasn't bad enough. It had been thirty, as Starlight dragged Fluttershy from the bucket and threw her onto the wall over her bed. Falling into the bed blow, Fluttershy coughed and gagged and vomited water and her stomach contents all over the sheets, along with her blood and now urine from the fierce beating Starlight had just given her. She felt a couple of broken ribs and her spine felt misshapen. The throbbing pain surging through her body was unbearable. She cried out for this torture to stop, but as loud as her cries were, Starlight's laughter roared over it.
"Please! Just... j-j-just... let me go!! Please, I'll do whatever you want!... just... please make this stop!" Fluttershy screamed, being hit right in the neck with the Staff of Sameness and having Starlight sit on her face as she played around with Fluttershy's nether regions using the staff.

Starlight lifted from Fluttershy and sat down with great force on her chest, further breaking her already shattered ribs. Fluttershy let out a yelp unparalleled from anything she released that night, and Starlight could hear the snaps under her mass. She could feel Fluttershy coughing up small rain-like patters of blood upon her ass and flank. "Open the door, show them the physique of their new friend, maybe that will make them submit," Starlight ordered Double Diamond, who did as she commanded, opening the door to the small roomed house that held the rest of the Elements of Harmony prisoner.
Fluttershy, with a huge fake smile plastered on her face, glared with emotionless eyes to her friends. Beaten, bandaged, bruised, walking on crutches, her hair cut to match the other mares of the village. This sight drug a loud gasp from all of her friends.
"Fluttershy?! What... What the heck happened to you?!" Twilight cried, trying to run to her but was held back by Double Diamond and a few other smiling stallions. "You..." She glared directly at Starlight, who smiled devilishly back at her. "You did this to her... Why?! Why would you hurt our friend so badly?! I thought you were better than that!!"
Starlight was about to speak, but Fluttershy limped over to Twilight, who was trying to fight against the stallions holding her back.
"Fluttershy! What happened?!" Twilight cried, as the dams of her eyes broke and sent the floods of tears streaming down. She no longer resisted the stallions, and fell down on her belly, crying in defeat. The other Elements could not bear to see Twilight, their leader, so broken down and looking helpless as she did now. Such a sight was truly disturbing. But not as disturbing as Fluttershy.
Her black eye, the crutches holding her up, the wrapped bandages around her entire lower body. The obvious breaks showing throughout her body, even her underside and crotch area were still slightly bleeding.
"My former friends of Ponyville... it does not bring me much joy to say I am cutting you off... They know about what you sent me to do, all those times you treated me like a pawn going off into a war... but no more," Fluttershy told Twilight and the others. "You exploited me for my talents, used me for my abilities... you raped my being as it was... so it brings me happiness to say I've fully given up my past life and would love to fully transfer it all here! As for you five... Sorry to say I'll never see you again."
Starlight approached the five ponies and tied them together to put them onto a carriage to be carried off to a certain disclosed location. "Yes, Fluttershy is quite right you see... For trying to manipulate her to oppose my perfect rule, you've committed a crime against equality as a whole: Treason. How pitiful... but surely your example will show ponies in the future what happens when they try to oppose me. And my village. This is goodbye, Twilight Sparkle."
Starlight motioned for more stallions to come so they could carry the carriage away. "Please, to the darkest chambers. They'll be the first ones to go there. And surely they'll never come out." She nudged Fluttershy, giggling at her playfully and walking back to her personal cabin in the middle of the village. "Enjoy your new permanent friend everypony! Fluttershy!"
Fluttershy turned away from her friends, who were crying out for her to do something, anything she could possibly do. That would be impossible, even if this had been an act. Sadly for them, it was not. This was all too real. She could not say she hated them now, but she just had no idea how to think of them as truly being eligible to be called her friends anymore. The pain aching her body, though seemingly endless, eternal, worse than any she had or would ever feel in her lifetime, did not compare to that which ached her very soul. Never to see her past life again, never to see a true smile of a true friend. Surely she knew it was she who had betrayed them, not vice versa. But, in her mind, it was far too late to change now. She still hurt, and this hurt would never go away.
She looked upon her new life with a fake smile and approached it willingly. Her hoovesteps guiding themselves, untouched by anypony else's influence. It was all under her control now. Under their control.
