Ponies have finally made it to the stars! Exploring new systems and colonizing new planets. Too bad that they're not the only ones with this goal.

Despite the fact that there are a billions upon billions of planets in the universe, only a few of them are habitable by living beings. These few planets are continuously contested by the different species of the universe as they fight for homes for their ever growing population. With so many species fighting for habitable planets, Equestria has no choice but to call in the Equestrian Colonial Defense Force (ECDF) to secure it's interest in the many systems throughout different galaxies.

For an ordinary pony who lived in Equestria, not much is known about the ECDF, other than the fact that you sign-up at age sixty-five and you serve your tern at age seventy-five. Promised with the gift of having their life extended, old mares and stallions sign-up, in hopes of living longer in a world of new technologies and exploration.

One of them is the old mare named Rainbow Dash, formerly known as the fastest pegasi in Equestria and the bearer of the Element of Loyalty. With her age slowly thinking towards her final breath, she takes the offer, not knowing what dangers she would plunge herself into.
