One day, Chrysalis is alerted to a new gate opening up in her Royal Chambers, incidentally coinciding when Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle jointly opens their gate to Canterlot High in order to face an old enemy of Equestria as it finally turns out at the school.

Sending a few minions and servants is a simple and unavoidable task for the High Queen of Changelings. It is merely her duty to the Hive and her people. The minions are only too eager to explore the opportunity in her name.

What is on the other side was initially a mystery, a riddle to be solved. Only to turn into the gates to heaven for the once going through. Not only are the inhabitants on the other side unaware of whom they are, they are naturally defenceless to what they came to offer.

What the changelings had not been prepared for, is the ease with which they claim what fell before them, the trade almost too good to be true; the Humans greeting them with open arms. Is this where things were to go, and unopposed? Chrysalis is worried, justly so, things can never be this easy, or could they?
