//-------------------------------------------------------// Snowfrost's Story -by ponybird21- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 Snowfrost opened her blue eyes. She had a splitting headache. She blinked, and frowned. She couldn't seem to remember anything. She shook her head. No luck. She tried smacking her head with her hoof. That appeared to worked. She remembered that her name was Snowfrost, that she had magic, and that she was hit with dark magic. Then she remembered one more thing. A name. Discord. She frowned. Why would she remember that? She then took in her surroundings. She was in a forest. It was dark and mysterious. She shakily got to her hooves and started to walk. She heard a twig snap and flew straight up into the air. She smiled. Then she saw a pair of glimmering green eyes staring at her from behind a bush. She landed on the ground and said, bravely "Show yourself!" What came out was a very strange creature! It had a dark body, legs, and horn. It had wings like Snowfrost, but they were thin and teal. The most bizarre feature was that it had holes in the mane, tail, horn, wings, and even legs! It then spoke. "Who are you? I didn't know the king and queen of Equestria had another daughter." The question confused Snowfrost. "What do you mean? I don't know anything about Equestria." The creature's eyes widened. "Nothing?" She asked. "Nothing." Snowfrost confirmed. "Wow, you must have had dark magic strike you!" Said the creature. Snowfrost shuddered. "Yes, I think so." She agreed. "What is your name? Mine is Snowfrost." The creature smiled. "Snowfrost? Thats a pretty name. Mine is Chrysalis. I am a changeling." Chrysalis suddenly turned into a pink unicorn with a blue mane. Snowfrost's eyes widened. "Say, thats neat! How do you do that?" Snowfrost asked. Chrysalis told her that all changelings can do that. She then said, "Say, do you want to come to my hive?" Snowfrost said yes. As they walked, Chrysalis told Snowfrost about herself. She mother was the queen of the changelings and that they were at peace with the ponies. Sometimes she and the two princesses, Luna and Celestia, would play together. She also said how there was a kingdom called the Crystal Empire and that there was a prince named Sombra who lived there. Snowfrost noticed Chrysalis blush when she said this and suspected she had a crush on him. Then Chrysalis told how the changelings eat love for food. Snowfrost thought that was strange, but said nothing. After all, who was she to judge others based on what they were. Chrysalis also told her that the changelings sometimes ate other foods, mostly chocolate, as it tasted most like love. Soon, Snowfrost noticed that they were nearing a building that looked like a beehive. There were changeling guards there. The difference between them and Chrysalis were the eyes. The guards had bug eyes while Chrysalis had green pony eyes. As the two fillies walked to the throne room, changelings stopped working and stared at Snowfrost. Finally, they reached the throne room. They saw a big changeling that looked just like Chrysalis, except that instead of teal wings, mane and tail, she had orange wings, mane and tail. On her head was a golden crown. She looked at Snowfrost and asked, "What are you doing here?" Snowfrost and Chrysalis told the queen all that had happened, and the queen finally said "Alright, you can stay here. You and Chrysalis will now be royal sisters." Snowfrost and Chrysalis hugged each other and squealed. They were now sisters! Snowfrost's new life had begun. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 Snowfrost woke up and felt happy. It had been a whole week since she was found by Chrysalis. The changelings were used to her by now, and she had become used to their company. As Snowfrost made her way to the breakfast room, she bumped into a guard's son. Snowfrost smiled and said, "Good morning Lint." Lint looked at Snowfrost and said, "Good morning your majesty." Snowfrost sighed. She was still getting used to the whole 'princess' thing. She arrived in the breakfast room and saw Chrysalis with her mother. They were eating love, which looks like pink cotton candy, just more transparent. Snowfrost sat in her seat and started eating chocolate. Chrysalis looked very excited. All of the sudden, she yelled, "We get to play with the princesses today!" Snowfrost blinked, and then replied, "Really!?" The queen added, "Yes. You can go right now, if you want." Snowfrost and Chrysalis practically ran out of the room. When they went outside, Chrysalis told Snowfrost, "Now, follow me. When we see Luna and Tia, then you can introduce yourself." Snowfrost nodded. They walked till they came to a beautiful castle. The door opened and out came two alicorns and a draconequus! Snowfrost looked at the draconequus with surprise, but said nothing. Something seemed familiar about him, but she couldn't put her hoof on it. Chrysalis walk up to them, so Snowfrost followed. When they neared the trio, Luna yelled "Hi Chrysalis! Who is this?" "This is my new sister Snowfrost. I found her in the forest." Chrysalis said. Snowfrost smiled and waved at Luna and Tia. Tia looked at Snowfrost with, for some reason, distrust. "Where did you come from BEFORE, though?" She asked. Snowfrost answered, "I don't know." Celestia questioned, "Then how do we know you are not evil?" Luna was shocked, and so was Chrysalis, that Celestia was being so mean when the draconequus said, "Leave her alone, Tia!" He snapped his fingers and Tia was drenched in chocolate milk! He then turned to Snowfrost, who was getting a little teary-eyed and said, "Are you ok? By the way, my name is Discord." Snowfrost looked at him with shock. "D-did you say your name is Discord?" She asked. Discord nodded. "Why?" He asked. Snowfrost quickly said, "Oh, no reason." There was an awkward silence when all the sudden Luna asked, "Are you coming to the Hearth's Warming Eve party, Chrysalis?" Chrysalis said, "Oh yes" when Snowfrost asked, "What is Hearth's Warming Eve?" There was a gasp. "How can you not know what it is!?" Celestia demanded. Then Discord said, "It's a holiday when all the ponies give presents as a reminder that unicorns, pegasi, and earth ponies are all friends." "Oh, that sounds fun!" Snowfrost exclaimed. Then they all heard a holler, "Celestia, Luna, Discord, time to come home!" Celestia yelled back, "Coming mother!" Then she said, "See you guys later." She smirked at Snowfrost and hit her nose with her tail. Luna followed her and so did Discord, but not before he waved goodbye and said, "Bye. Can't wait to see you again, Snowfrost." Snowfrost smiled and waved back, and then followed Chrysalis back to the hive. As they walked, Snowfrost asked Chrysalis, "Am I evil for not knowing my past?" Chrysalis gave her a hug and declared, "Of course not! You are the nicest pony I know. Don't listen to what she says." Snowfrost nodded but kept silent. When they arrived home,  the queen sent them to bed. Snowfrost laid on her bed and wondered, Who AM I?, before drifting off to sleep. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Snowfrost and Chrysalis had grown up. For many years Snowfrost and Chrysalis have been seeing the princesses. But as they grew up and time passed, things changed. Discord was turned into stone; Luna got banished to the moon. And Celestia, now the ruler of Equestria, was being evil to the changelings. Chrysalis was now queen. Snowfrost's personality had grown cold; she was constantly lonely and angry. Like snow, she froze ponies when she looked them in the eyes. She was like this ever since Discord was trapped in stone. She decided to leave the changeling hive and live on her own. Chrysalis was sad, but let her go. Snowfrost was always a mystery to the changelings and they didn't trust her that much. This could have been due to the fact that her snowflake cutie mark had been earned when she froze the hive. Snowfrost traveled on, without caring what lay ahead. She got to the city of Canterlot, but there, all the ponies treated her rudely because they were perplexed at her friendship with the changelings. She traveled to the frozen north, where she was alone except for the Windigoes, which was just the way she liked it. One day, as she woke up, she started singing, "Keep your big, bright, beautiful world. I got a world of my own, anyway! I don't need you all, so read the icy sign!" She laughed. She went to her music room and started to compose some music. She was pretty good at it, in fact it was odd that that was not her special talent. She made a song she called 'Think of Me', which she got from her favorite book The Pony of the Opera. It was sad, but sweet. Later that day, she heard from a windigoe that there was now a new town called Ponyville. She was watching it, and she saw many strange things happen there. First, the Mare in the Moon freed herself from the moon, and then all of chaos broke loose in the town. Finally, there were some massive fireballs and a big castle, with rainbows all over the place. She didnt put it off anymore. She went and visited it. As she went through the Everfree Forest, she saw a cottage. She knocked on the door and out came a yellow pegasus. She was a mare with a beautiful, pale pink mane and tail and three pink butterflies as her cutie mark. She also had blue eyes. "Who are you?" the pegasus asked. She seemed nervous. "I am Snowfrost, who are you?" Snowfrost replied. "I'm Fluttershy. Would you like to come in?" Snowfrost nodded, so she came in. But as soon as she sat down in a chair, a voice yelled, "Snowfrost!" "I think I know who that is. Discord?" Snowfrost asked in disbelief. The draconequus immediately generated a pair of large glasses and a handlebar mustache as a disguise. "I don't know who in Equestria you are or what you're talking about!" He huffed. Snowfrost laughed. She knew Discord well enough to not be confused by his antics. He removed the joke disguise and smiled."Finally, I get to see you again!" he exclaimed. "Do you guys know each other?" Fluttershy asked. Discord nodded, "We're... Old friends... Practically siblings!" Fluttershy relaxed. She started to pour some tea, when Discord asked Snowfrost, "So, how is Chrissy?" Snowfrost asked, her tone serious. "I don't know. I haven't seen her in 500 years." //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue It was a cold, frigid winter night in for Equestria. In the now unusually cold icy land of the Windigoes, the king and queen were happy, but worry gnawed at their happiness. The queen of the Windigoes had just given birth to a beautiful female alicorn. It was found when traced back through their heritage that the child's species had come to be due to the fact that the king's Windigo ancestors had been married to a pony of some sort. Now, this wouldn't have been bad, if the filly was a windigoe. However, it was a pony. Her mother and father knew she wouldn't be happy or fit in with the other Windigoes. Alicorns were harmonious creatures in contrast to the argumentative Windigo species. The queen was singing 'Hushabye Mountain' to the filly when the king came in. "Dear, she simply can't live here. We need to do something," he said. The queen looked up. "Yes, I know, but WHAT? We must give our child to somepony we can trust," she said. The king ventured,"What about the gryphons?" The queen said "No. Just, we CAN'T trust them with THIS! And we can't give her to the dragons, as we are at war with them. And the ponies, well, we JUST got defeated by them." She sighed. Then the king said suddenly, "What about those chaos creatures? You know. They are called, um, draconequus! Yes, they can help!" The queen smiled. "Thats perfect! The queen of them, her name is Eris, has a colt named Discord!" The king added. "Very well. I will send them a letter right now!" He left the room. The queen looked at her child and, though sad, was glad that the child would soon be safe. "Don't worry, my daughter, Snowfrost. You will be safe and well cared for. I love you. For you ARE my angle." Then the king came into the room. "Ready?" He asked. The queen nodded. "Yes." As soon as she said it, Snowfrost was teleported away. She was now in the claws and paws of the Draconequus.
