Jet angrily thinks to himself as he approaches Sunset Shimmer, who was fixing the front entrance to Canterlot High along with Snips and Snails after last nights events. His hands formed into fists as he looks around to make sure not many people were around before he approaches her, "Sup bitch." Her reaction was a bit satisfying to Jet as she winced and slowly looks to him. "H-Hi?" She whispers, somewhat afraid to speak her normal voice level as her two former goons slowly shrunk away outside and behind the wall. He smirks as he stares Sunset down, after many years of pain and misery, its payback and he's intending to collect. "You think you got people fooled? You think you have those girls fooled? Well think again Sunset, because I still remember. I STILL FUCKING REMEMBER!" He whispers hotly, his teeth clenched as he pokes her hard and making her press against the wall, "Please, i'm sorry about what happened before. I'm trying to change, honest!" She whimpers, almost as if she was about to cry. Jet wasn't going to buy it, the anger clouding his judgement, "Ah shit..." he shakes his head chuckling, "You're sorry? You're sorry??" He grabs Sunsets jacket as he slams her to the wall, "YOU SAY YOU ARE FUCKING SORRY?!?!" Sunset started to tear up as Jets voice level escalated, "I HAVE A SISTER WHO IS GOING THROUGH THERAPY BECAUSE SHE ALMOST COMMITTED SUICIDE! ALL THANKS TO YOU! YOU FUCKING BITCH!" He slams her against the wall again as students started to crowd around them. "Is there a problem here Mr. Radke?" He groans as Principal Celestia steps up behind him. "Let her go." He lets her go as Sunset tries not to cry and the students immediately disperse. AppleJack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy quickly rush over as they protect Sunset. "What the hell is yer problem Jet!?" AppleJack yells as Rarity and Fluttershy try to calm their new friend and comfort her. "Why do you have to be a big meanie?" Pinkie Pie asks as she puts on her sad face, but this doesn't faze Jet as he growls and walks away. "You may have them fooled Sunset Shimmer, but I still remember... and I never forget!" He storms down the halls angrily, ignoring Principal Celestias calls for him. At lunch Jet was sitting by himself, resentful, bitter and really upset. "Was I a bit too harsh on Sunset? If she was faking it I would've known... still she was known for being a good actress when it came to getting what she wanted. Plus she almost made my sister kill herself. I can never forgive her for that." He suddenly sees a shadow pass by him as he looks up to see Sunset Shimmer sitting next to him, "Holy shit... you must be really dumb or trying to press my buttons after what happened earlier. I am not buying your whole 'I changed act'." He looks around to see the other five girls sit at his table too. "Jesus Christ, fuck this." He gets up and was about to leave until Rainbow grabs his vest. "Sit." She ordered, but Jet had other plans, "And what will you do if I don't?" "Its not what I will do, its what AppleJack will do." Rainbow motions to AppleJack as she glares at him and motions him to sit down, he groans and sits down. "This is fucking bullshit, what do you girls want?" Rarity, taking a bite out of her food, then wiping her face with a white handkerchief holds an outstretched hand to Sunset Shimmer, " I do believe an apology is in order, after what you did today it took us quite a while to get her out of the bathroom." Jet looks at Rarity before slamming his hands down on the table, surprising the girls and laughing, "Pftt hahahahahahahahaha! Hahahahaha NO!" He quickly changed moods as he picks up his tray and leaves. He turns back to the girls and looks directly at Sunset, "You never had to deal with a potential suicide, especially with a younger sibling. I'm not wasting my time on this... bitch." He walks away as Sunset buries her face in her arms and starts to cry, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie patting her back gently. Sunset Shimmer She never expected the first day to end with so much misery, Jet really tore into her emotionally and physically. Tired, mentally drained and afraid, afraid of his anger. She walks down the halls to her locker as the students whisper about her and turning their backs to her, still not trusting after last night. She sighs as she approaches her locker number and does enters her combo, hearing the click and opening it, she grabs her books for her homework tonight and sets out to go home. She sees Jet grabbing his books and leaving to the parking lot entrance, "Should I go speak to him again? What if he blows up in my face again like last time?" She wanted to stay away from but she want to prove to him she has changed and wanted to redeem herself to him. She decided she would do whatever it took to make it up to him for her past sins. "Jet! Jet wait!" She sees Jet sigh as continues to walk away ignoring her."Jet please I want to talk!" Jet stops and takes a few deep breaths, "The fuck do you want ?" His face twisted, full of anger, the way his eyes burned with hatred reminded Sunset of her previous self, all those years of hurt being thrown back at her. All through Jets eyes. "I... I'm sorry for everything I did to you and your sister, I know its not enough but please believe me when I tell you that I truly am trying to change." She waits for Jets inevitable explosion of rage. Instead Jet grabs her wrist and makes her follow him to his Ford Mustang as he unlocks the car and opens the door to show who was waiting at the front seat, pointing at the girl now scared seeing the bully who tormented her in front of her. "Don't apologize to me, Apologize to my sister Sugar Sweet! You really have a lot of nerve bitch to be doing this now." Sunset looks at her, and the guilt immediately washes over her, tears coming down her eyes as she sees the pain she put the poor girl through from freshman year to her junior year. "I'm sorry, i'm so sorry Sugar Sweet. I know you won't forgive me but please... please i'm asking you to know that I truly am changing myself. I know I was a bully, and so evil but I just... i'm so sorry." Sugar Sweet had tears coming down her face as well as she gets out of the car, making her way to Sunset Shimmer and looks at her for a few minutes. Sunset didn't know what to do, as she wiped her eyes with her jacket she was immediately pulled into a tight hug as Sugar cried, "I forgive you Sunset! I forgive you." Sunset was stunned by the girls courage to forgive as she cries and hugs her tightly. The five girls were watching from the entrance, all touched by what they saw. AppleJack heard sniffling as she looks to see Rainbow having tears flow down her face. "Are... Are you cryin' Rainbow?" Rainbows eyes widen as she quickly wipes her face, "N- No! I just... I got something in my eye!" AppleJack laughs and hugs her friend. Jet Radke He was stunned, absolutely stunned. Here was his sister, embracing the girl who put her through so much torment, pain and misery for many years now embracing the bully Sunset Shimmer, who nearly made Sugar kill herself. His insides felt all twisted up as his emotions were at war with each other, he felt anger, sadness, sympathy, relief and yet none of it made sense to him. He though his sister would scream at Sunset, that would've been enough to enable him to push Sunset away. Now... he didn't know what to do as both girls hugged each other, crying and letting the pain go. He looks away and walks a few cars away, holding himself steady as he felt sick, he stumbles to a light pole and breathes heavily. He looks around as he suddenly slams his fist into a light pole a few times, not caring about the pain as he hits it again and again, making a small dent and bruising his knuckles as he sits against the concrete frame and slides against it, finally breaking down as he starts to cry. Jet hiding his face with his unaffected left hand he cries silently, the confusion, the hurt and the pain finally opening up. Bottled up for so many years was slowly killing Jet on the inside as the girl who was the architect of said pain is now broken, changed and looking for forgiveness, has been forgiven by his little sister who meant the world to him. After a few minutes of release, he pulled out a pack of cigarettes as he crushes the little mint ball in the filter portion, pulled out his lighter and lit the end portion. Taking an inhale, holding and letting it release, he thinks to himself,"So... if Sunset Shimmer really did change... then maybe I should change too." He gets up and makes his way back to his car as he sees Sunset Shimmer and his sister smiling and laughing, as if they are already friends. "I really appreciate you allowing me to be your friend Sugar." Sunset smiles warmly at her as she gave her a hug. "The feelings mutual Sunset, i'm glad you finally start to be nice to others instead of being mean and drive everyone apart. I'll see you soon new friend!" Sunset waves good bye as Sugar gets into the front seat and Jet gets into the car. He thinks for a moment as Sunset was walking away. "Hold on Sugar." Sugar watches her brother get up and walk to Sunset and stop her. "Sunset?" Jet approaches her as Sunset stops and turns around, "I... I'm sorry too. For how I was acting. I wasn't mature in how to handle the new you and... I know you still have a lot to learn about friendship. Apparently i'm in need of lessons too... so... would you... want to be friends?" Sunset smiles nervously then finally regains her confident composure, "Of course I will, do you forgive me for me being a pain in the ass for the past three years?" Jet laughs, "Of course I do. I hope we can start tomorrow off even better than today." They both nod in agreement and shake hands as they soon part ways. When he finally reaches his car he turns the ignition on and drives off. The drive home was silent, until Jet finally speaks up, "Sugar..." She looks at him, "Yes brother?" He reaches over with his free hand and holds hers, "Thank you. For showing me what it means to forgive." She smiles and interlocks her fingers with his as they both go home, happy and feeling they ended the day on good terms. //-------------------------------------------------------// Wait and See //-------------------------------------------------------// Wait and See Chug chug chug chugga chug chug, the heavy chugging growling from Jets guitar as he clicked on a distortion pedal with his right foot. He was practicing a cover song of his favorite band as a means to ease the emotions flooding through his mind. What happened today was a blur, nothing but anger and wanting revenge but seeing his sister giving her tormentor another chance confused him. Sugar Belle opens the door to Jets room as his back was turned to her, "Dinner!" He couldn't hear her as she frowned, she reached over and pulled out the left ear bud of Jets headset as he turns around quickly. "Jesus Sugar Belle you know I hate that!" He growls annoyed as she gives him the finger while walking away, "I can give zero fucks bro, it's dinner." He unslings his guitar and follows as Sugars long brown sugar colored hair sways while she skips down the hallways. The 17 year old girl is shorter in height than Jet, while he is at 6'1 she is a 5'10. Her peach skin and blue eyes contrast Jets brown eyes and tanned skin, a bubbly personality equivalent to that of that one party girl Jet remembers, none other than Pinkie Pie. As they go to sit at the table, dinner all set with courtesy from Sugar Belles delicious cooking, they say grace then start to eat. As the two siblings ate, Jet set down his silverware and looks at his sister, "I... I don't get it." She stops eating the noodles halfway and looks up, "What do you mean?" "Sunset shimmer..." He reminds her, "You forgave her so easily... after everything shes done. Why did you forgive her so easily?" She shrugs, "I just don't hold onto grudges, its bad for someones heart, I forgive and let the past go. Even if she was horrible I still think she's capable of change." She explained as she dives back into her noodles. Jet sat there in deep thought, it wasn't until thirty minutes later that she pushes him, "Hellooooooo Jet Radke, annoying brother, you there?" He lunges at her as she squealed and runs away, "That will teach you!" he smiles as he finishes his remaining portion of his meal. After he put the dishes away, he starts to clean them as he went into deep thought about what his sister said,"How is it that forgiving is easy for my little sis but for me its like the hardest thing I could ever do?" He continues to think about it until he felt his feet get wet, Jet realizes he let the water run as it starts to overflow and wet the floor. "OH SHIT!" He quickly turns off the water and lets it drain as he grabs a towel to dry the floor. He looks around to make sure his sister didn't catch him or he'd be shit out of luck. As soon as he finished, he returned to his room and lays down on his bed and stares at the ceiling. He reaches over to grab his headphones and puts them in his ear as he scrolls through a list of heavy metal songs and clicks on a random song he wanted to hear. Suddenly his phone rings, cutting off the music as he groans and checks the phone, "Who in the fuck wants me now?" He answers the phone, "Hello.." the voice on the other side made him sit up straight as he recognized who it was. "Its me... Sunset Shimmer." She said, somewhat hesitant to say her name. Jet looks at the number and goes back to speaking with her, "How did you get this number?" "Who else would have the phone numbers to every person at school?" She asked to see if he can guess. He groans and facepalms himself, slowly letting his hand drag down his face, "Ugh... Pinkie Pie." "Correct." She affirmed. "So.. what do you want Sunset?" He lays back down, tired and somewhat paying attention to the girl on the other line. "I was just calling because I wanted to see if you're ok." she says as she was in her purple pajamas and curled against the headboard. He rolls to his side and ponders the prior events as he sighs and closes his eyes, "I don't know... today was just... just awful." Sunset can agree with that, "Today wasn't a walk in the park for me either." Jet groans as he sighs loudly, "Fuck my life." Sunset pulls out her homework as she starts to work on a few questions from her history class. "Whats the matter?" She asks as she writes down the answers, Jet tells her about how his grades are dropping, he isn't doing well in math since its his weakest part of his learning. "I kid you not, math is like a different language I cannot understand. It fucking frustrates me." He explains as he flips through his phone menu to find something to do while still talking to her. "I can tutor you." Sunset suggested as Jet sits up straight, "Say that again?" She sighs as she puts the phone close to her mouth, " I said I can tutor you. How does that sound?" Jet thinks about it, either he can let her teach him or he says no and ruin his school year. The first option sounds better, with that in mind he agrees. "Alright, after school tomorrow we can study at my house, my parents aren't home during the day so it should be ok." Sunset assures him, even though it is a half lie since she has no family in this world. Besides her friends, her parents are still in Equestria, wondering if their little filly is ok and doing well. Jet gets up off the bed and walks out of his room to get a drink from the kitchen, "Alright, sounds good. See you tomorrow." He hangs up as he enters the kitchen to grab a drink, looking at the time to see the clock say 7 pm, "Shit... i have to do my homework or i'll be fucked..." he slowly drags his feet back to his room and closes the door. He pulls his bag to his desk and takes out his homework as he starts on the same history homework that Sunset has. Next day Sunset Shimmer was sitting with her new friends when a tall kid in black walks their way, "Uh oh, here comes the meanie." Pinkie Pie whispers as Jet sits at the end of the table, facing them as he sighs while looking down, he finally looks up and apologizes, "I know I don't have the right to ask this of any of you but I am sorry. I'm sorry for being mean, being hateful towards Sunset Shimmer. I just let my emotions take over sound judgement. I hope you girls can forgive me." The girls looked at each other as Apple Jack looks at Jet, "Ahhh its a'right, water under the bridge right girls?" The girls nod as Rarity clears her throat. "Well at least he apologized, and admits to his mistake, that's a gentleman trait." she says as Jet smiles. "Thanks, I hope we can be friends, especially with you Sunset." He hoped they would accept as the girls nod and Pinkie smiles brightly. "I accept your friendship Jet." Sunset smiles as everyone continues to eat, Jet starts to eat his pizza as he starts to listen to his music. "What you listening to Jet?" Rainbow asks as she leans forward over AppleJack, the look of annoyance on the country girls face was easily seen. Jet looks up, "Stuff you probably don't listen to." She exits her chair and walks to him and sits near him, "Try me kid." He looks at her tilting his head already knowing she is going to be an issue, "Im not a kid and two you want to listen? Here." He hands her a free ear bud as she puts it to her ear, he plays the song Our Endless War by WhiteChapel and her excited face somewhat lessened as the singer starts growling out the words. "Wow uhhhhh, its... nice?" Rainbow says trying to lessen the impact of the words but Jet sees through it, "Don't bullshit me, you don't like it. I do though. Loving the heavy guitar riffs, drums and vocals, something I bet you can't do." She huffs as her face gets red, contrasting against her light blue face, "Oh yearh! I play guitar too and I can probably beat the other guitarists no sweat because everyone knows i'm awesome!" Jet goes back to eating his pizza, "Whatever..." the response only further pisses off Rainbow Dash, she growls as she goes back to her seat and grumbles to herself, making AppleJack whisper to Jet, "Thank ya sugar cube for shuttin her up." He winks as he finishes his pizza. After lunch, his last class was math, and he has it at the same time as Sunset Shimmer, "Math is going to blow majorly today." he thinks to himself as he steps into the classroom and takes a seat. Sunset sits behind him and passes him a note, it reads "After school, tutoring at my house." He turns to look behind him as she waves hi, he responds and waves hi back as the teacher walks in and starts the class. The school bell finally rings as Jet grabs his bag, upset and feeling lost as he held his test paper, the red mark on the top of the page that shows him a D- further puts a crack in Jets self worth as Sunset Shimmer catches up to him, "Hey Jet, where you going? You coming to my house?" He sighs and shows her the paper, her eyes go wide as she looks through the wrong answers, "Holy shit you do need help." He nods, "Like I said, I fucking suck." She redirects him to the school entrance to the parking lot, "You don't suck you just need mmmmm just need help. Oh and I usually walk home and I know you drive so, mind if you can give me a ride?" Jet pulls out his keys and unlocks the doors to his mustang as he gets into the drivers seat and sunset goes into the front seat. "Nice car." She says as she looks around in the interior as Jet pushes down on the clutch and starts the car, shifting into first and driving carefully past other cars and onto traffic. "Ok so we go down two blocks and make a right, then from there we go straight till we go to a stop sign and make a left." Jet looks at her then back to the road, "Holy shit Sunset, how do you ever get to school on time?" She shrugs her shoulders. Jet continues to drive until they finally arrived 15 minutes later. Jet parks the car on her driveway as they both go inside, the living room taking Jet by surprise because there were objects he has never seen before. "What is all this stuff?" Sunset turns to look and looks at the items from Equestria, "Oh shit! Forgot to hide these!" she quickly makes up a lie, "Trinkets from my parents travels when they decide to a worldwide cruise." Jet eyes them suspiciously as he looks away, "Ah... ok then." They make their way to the dining room as they both set their bags on top and pull out their homework, "So is math the only thing you have a problem with?" He nods as he drops his math book on the table making a loud slam. "Alright so... whats the first order of business?" Jet asks as she pulls out a calculator and a protractor, "Well first we are going to do what the teacher taught us today. I saw you having a hard time understanding so we are going to do this today and help you understand by the end of the night." Sunset says as she lays out the course for the nights study session. Jet groans as he takes a seat and looks up at the ceiling, "Fuck my life." //-------------------------------------------------------// Tutor Session //-------------------------------------------------------// Tutor Session Jets watch read 4:06 pm as he looks at Sunset, bored out of his mind as his mind wanders to something other than math. "Holy fuck, how am I this terrible? Even Sunset Shimmer trying to teach me is boring the fuck out of me." He was just about to close his eyes and sleep till Sunset drops his text book on the table, making a loud slam that startles him and results in him falling over on his back. "You're having a hard time with this aren't you?" Sunset asks as she places both hands on her hips, she holds out her right hand as Jet grabs it to pull himself up. "Like I said, I really really suck at this." He fixes his chair as he goes back to working on his 10th problem out of 30. "I'm going to be here for fucking ever." he groans as he lays his head down on the table. Sunset rolls her eyes as she lifts up his head and sets him up by straightening him out. "You want me to help you or not?" Jet looks at her, "I didn't ask for help, you recommended it remember?" She puts the pencil in his hand as she goes back to the task at hand. "Ok so, it says here to find solutions of the following equation: tan0 minus the square root of three equals zero. How do we find that out?" Sunset says, hoping Jet would at least try to find the answer as he looks at the paper lost. He picks up his calculator and types down the equation, he then shows it to her, "Well i'm hoping thats the correct response." She leans forward to look at it and nods. "That is correct now show me how you got it." She orders him as Jet groans. "That part is what I really suck at." He says as he starts to write down the steps to how he thinks is the right way. Sunset watches over his shoulder as he continues to show his work at how the problem is solved. After he is finished she looks it over, "Mmmmhmmmm, thats correct, ok you got it right till you got to here." She shows him the error as she makes a small correction. Jet looks at the paper as his expression brightens a little, "Oh I see I get it now." Sunset continues to help Jet with his homework till it was close to 8 pm, after having a late dinner and finally finishing the math homework, Jet had to get home. As he was headed to the door he stopped and turned around to face Sunset, "Hey ummmm... Thanks for tutoring me and dealing with my dumb ass." She smiles, "Oh its no problem, i'm just helping people out you know. Trying to redeem myself, that old story you know." He smiles back at her as he looks around nervously. "Uhhhh you know there is a movie that's coming out soon... I think its called Doctor Whooves, the day of the doctor. Would you like to come along and see it with me?" He asked as best as he could without fucking it up majorly. Sunset blushes as her eyes roll away from Jet to another part of the house, "Hmmmmm I think i'm available that day. I'll get back to you on that." Jet opens the door as he walks out, "Thanks again though." Sunset waves at him as he gets into his car, "No problem Jet, glad I can help." He turns on the car and puts it in reverse as he pulls out of Sunsets driveway and puts it into first gear as his engine roars and he speeds down the road. He soon arrives at his home and parks the car in the garage as he locks it and steps inside, his sister on her phone on the couch, "Soooooo how was the date?" Sugar teases as jet grabs a fluffy toy and throws it at her, "Wasn't a date Sugar, it was just a tutoring session." "A perfect excuse though to ask her out." She continues to tease as Jet groans, "Keep that up and I am going to eat your tasty baked goods you have saved for tomorrow." That prompted Sugar to give him the death glare as she suddenly moves in close to Jet, "Don't. You. Dare!" Jet smirks as he uses his superior height to look down at her, "Try me." Sugar Belle hated it when her brother used his height, it somewhat intimidated her as she recedes and grumbles, "You win..." she slinks away back to her room but not before whispering, "Excuses, excuses..." before closing her door. Jet sighs as he goes to his room and shuts the door as he changes into his pajamas and laying down on his bed. He turns on his phone as he goes through his list of contacts, one of which was Sunset Shimmer. He thinks about it for a moment but since he has nothing else to do he starts typing her a message,"Hey... what you up to?" He waited a few minutes before his phone buzzes and he checks the message. "Nm, just got out of the shower. What you doing?" she messaged back as he quickly types down a response, "Laying on my bed, probably not gonna sleep till 10." Sunset reads the message as she types down the next message, "Well i'm about to head to bed. I'm getting up early." Jet reads this and sighs as he responds to her, "Got it... well good night." She gets the last buzz from the notification and types back good night as she puts her phone on charge and closes her eyes. Jet sets his phone down as he stares up at the ceiling, bored and going through the days events in his head. He picks up his ipod and headphones as he puts on a metal playlist as he closes his eyes and listens to the music.
