fallout 3: David's adventure
Author's Note
This is my first story attempt, I don't have a editor and I'm not the best at punctuations and things like that so please go easy on me. I'll except any criticism and advice but if Your a complete dick then I'm gonna delete Your comment, I wrote this and posted it because I wanted to try to do something with my ideas, not so I could be insulted by other bronies.
Lone wanderers name is David brown, he's white, brown haired, greenish blue eyes and is tall and skinny.
a new land
I stand over the enclaves general, my gun pointed at his head, he lays on his back,
Holding himself up on his elbows, looking me dead in the eyes "you think you can defeat us?" He asks.
"I don't need to defeat the entire enclave, only you" I respond, tightening my finger around the trigger. He simply laughs "you won't kill me, Your spineless, like Your dad was, a coward."
Without hesitation I pull the trigger, shortening his laugh with a quick quiet zip of my surpressed 10 mm.
I motion to Lyons to follow and we walk over to the entrance of the purification system.
"One way trip," Lyons says "whoever goes in, isn't coming back out"
"Radiation levels are off the charts in there, whoever goes in will only survive A few minutes" I say.
"What now? We pull sticks?" Lyons asks as we both stare at the door panel, the heat of radiation faintly coming through the door, my pip-boy ticking lightly. "I'll do it" I respond, slowly walking to the door and pressing on the buttons and walking through.
The door closes and locks behind me, the heat now slowly getting worst, my Rad detecter ticking more violently. In front of me is the input that president told me about, I flip the capsule over in my hand, thinking of the events that might unfold if I do this.
Suddenly, I remember a speech dad told me when butch persuaded me to steal some Nuka Cola from the dinner fridge back when I was twelve.
"Son, sometimes bad people will try to convince you to do bad things, you have to think clearly and not listen to the silver tongue, even if they make it sound like it's a good idea" he said softly, not angry but disappointed. He got up out of his chair and so did I, he put a hand on my shoulder and leaded me to the door. "Now, I think someone needs to apologize to the overseer. "
"DAVID!" Lyon yells through the speaker, snapping me back into focus. I throw the capsule onto the metal floor, silently thanking dad for his speech. I feel myself getting weaker and weaker as I open the door to the main chamber. A wave of burning pain explodes over me as I move into the room. Time seems to slow as I punch in the code, 2-1-6 and slam my fist on the enter button.
"Thank you David, we won't forget you." Is all I hear as a blast of radiation makes me crumple to the floor, the statue lights up and water quickly moves upwards as my vision darkens, a horrible pain covering my body, then, darkness.
After what feels like a century I hear a voice, followed by several other voices. "Over here girls, I found it in here and was to scared to try to touch it." The voice says, it's female, very soft and gentle, like it's afraid to speak. "Is it alive?" Another voice askes, like the first it's female but has a fancy accent, like that of Lydia Montenegro at tenpenny tower.
"I think so." The first Voice replys and I feel something touch my chest, it's to hard to be a hand and feels like a brick, flat but circular. "I can feel a heartbeat." The soft voice says. I observe the situation using my hearing, I'm laying on soft ground,
probably soil, I heard a lot of footsteps, so there is at least six people, I'm laying on my back, flat, the bulk of my backpack under me, my hand lays close to my side, my 10 mm still strapped to my side.
Quickly I grab my gun and pull it, opening my eyes, leaning up and aiming the pistol at the voices, even though they haven't showed any hostility towards me I still need to be ready to draw first. What I'm greeted to really surprises me. In front of me are six creatures, all different colors, but all have a feminine look to them. Truthfully they resemble the horse on the buttercup pony posters I've seen around the wasteland.
They seem to all be just as surprised as me, a hint of fear in their eyes. "Well, Hello?" I ask, questioning my sanity. One of the "ponies" step forward, it's body is yellow with a pink "mane". "Hel..hello, what are you and what is that thing Your pointing us?" she is indeed female, very soft toned and has a very nervous tone to her.
I think a second. " im human and this in my hand is a gun, a ten millimeter pistol to be exact." A white pony with a purple mane steps forward. "What's Your name darling?" She askes. I lower my weapon, not senseing any harmful intentions coming from them. "My names is David, David Brown" I respond with a smile, "and you would be?" The white pony smiles and responds "my name is rarity."
A purple pony steps forward and speaks "Mr.Brown is it? Where are you from?" She asks, looking me over with a weirdly interested look on her face. "From the D.C wasteland," I reply "where am I now?"
A pink pony hops over to me, extremely close and speaks with a happy go lucky tone "Your in Equestria silly, in the Evergreen Forrest, even the smallest fillies know the country they're in." Well fuck, first the radiation, then the darkness and now I'm talking to colorful talking horses, I'm either dead or I'm really in a world where ponies rule.

So after a half hour of sitting on the ground, telling these ponies the events leading up to me awaking in this weird place and learning their names, I'm finally able to conclude that I am not insane and that I'm actually in a country run by horses.
Rarity is the white and purple pony with the fancy accent, she has what looks like three diamonds in a triangle form on her backside which I find quite weird. Fluttershy is the quiet voiced pony that found me when she was on her way to feed her animals, she is very shy but seems concerned on my condition.
"What's wrong with Your muzzle?" She askes. First I'm confused but then I realize she's referring to my nose, I reach my hand to it and feel blood slowly trickling down through my nostrils. Quickly I check my rad detector and notice it's in the yellow, slight radiation sickness. "I'm fine" I respond, taking off my bag and looking through it, finding the rad-away, rolling up the sleave to my jumpsuit and sticking the needle into my exposed arm. I hear gasps and I squeeze the bag, watching the meter go from yellow to green.
"It helps get rid of radiation" I explain, seeing the horrified looks on the ponies faces. Have I described the other four ponies? No? That's because they have yet showed any activity that i could lable as specific, except pinkie. Pinkie Pie is the pink pony who is still really close to my face, she speaks quickly and hops where ever she moves (that fact was told to me by rarity).
The orange pony with blonde hair is named Apple Jack and has a prominent southern accent. The purple one named twilight still stares at me and finally the blue one, Rainbow Dash, she interests me the most. She's a sky blue with her hair being many bright colors.
I stand up, feeling a bit dizzy and sick. "So what now?" I ask "Because I'm tired of sitting on my ass and I don't like the feel of this forrest." Twilight steps forward and speaks "first we need to go back to my library and I'll need to send a letter to Princess Celestia and inform her that I have found a new species"
Just as she finishes her sentence I hear a loud howl followed by the rustling of leaves and bushes. The ponies all get a look of fear as the sound quickly approaches. "David, we need to leave, Now!" Twilight says. Quickly I take my double barrled shotgun off its position on my back and load shells into the chambers as the sound is only feet away behind the bushes.
I finish the loading and aim as a grey object jumps out from the bushes tackling me to the ground and pinning my gun between me and it. The creature resembles a wild dog, a wolf I think, it goes for my neck but I bring up my left arm and it sinks it's teeth through the sleeve and into my arm, blood instantly pouring out. the wolf shakes violently, ripping my arm to shreds, tearing into the flesh. I scream in pain and try to reach for my pistol with my free arm when the wolf is knocked off me and thrown to the ground, whimpering loudly.
Quickly I stand back up, grabbing my shotgun with my one good arm, applejack standing close by, in a bucking position, I'm guessing she kicked the wolf in the stomach. The wolf is now laying on the ground in a balled up position, obviously in extreme pain. Slowly I walk towards it, putting the gun on my shoulder and preparing to fire when out of no where, fluttershy moves in front of me, begging me not to hurt it, begging me not to use my gun, begging me not to kill it and that it didn't mean to hurt me and only attacked because it didn't know what I was.
I stop and notice my vision is rapidly fading and I'm losing feeling all over my body. "OK but you need to help it or it'll die of internal damage." I respond, assessing that the animal was internally damaged and needed medical help but at the same time, I need help too, I'm losing lots of blood and don't have any stitches or bandages, only medx and stimpacks.
"I need help, I'm gonna bleed out" I say right before I lose consciousness and fall onto the ground, the world now black and soundless, I really hope they know how to treat flesh wounds.
