//-------------------------------------------------------// Trixieverse 2.5: Nightmare -by TheSorcerersApprentice- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Nightmare //-------------------------------------------------------// Nightmare You are more capable than you know. Trixie awoke from her slumber with a yell. Fortunately for her, it was only a nightmare. She had been having quite a few of them. Well, that was the cost of becoming mortal enemies with the creator of nightmares. Trixie assumed nopony heard her, so she went back to bed. She needed all the rest she could get. After the "reflection incident", Trixie had been given time to pack up, prepare and get a good night's sleep. Yes...as long as she rested, Trixie was going to be fine. Or so she thought. Ha! Ha! Ha! Oh, hello "loyal viewers". I have been left in charge of this story. Who am I? I am the worry about tomorrow. I am the anger inside your soul. I am the terror the flaps in the night. I am Nightmare, the manifestation of revenge and fear. And I am your guide through this story and Trix-Trix's little nightmare, provided by me as well.  So, let's take a look, shall we? Let's take a peek at the scares I have prepared for our light blue heroine. The dim-witted unicorn rolled in her sleep. For while she had gotten back to sleep, something was bothering her. *Much like she bothers me.** The try-hard fail-easily showmare kept hearing a hissing voice. A beautiful and calming relaxing voice. At least, to me it is. I should make a Hearth's Warming Eve album...* "Give in to your hatred and fear," It said. The Little and Helpless Trixie found herself in Ponyville, yet again. But she was not in her own time, oh no. Little Trix-Trix was in the time where she discovered the wonders and happiness of the Allicorn Amulet. Poor mare. Trix-Trix never saw the beauty of it. Pity. Worst of all, to her at least, she found the trinket was stuck to her neck. Trix tried ever so hard to take it off, but it just wouldn't budge. Oh she was trying hard all right. With all her puny pony might! But it wouldn't come off. Her fears grew as an army of ponies with pitchforks and weapons marched towards her. Their expressions were all the same. The wore the face of my favorite feeling in the whole wide world: hatred! Why do I love it so much? Because I was made from the stuff. But I digress. That's a story for another time. Anyways, the ponies closed in on Little Miss Trix with violent intent. With the Allicorn Amulet, who knows how much fun destruction she could cause! "Give in," the mysterious voice said. The voice seemed to have an influence over her mind. For once, Trix-Trix made a good decision. Her eyes glowed green and she wiped out the entire group of ponies as quick as a flash! Their bodies were reduced to nothing. All that was left, was an empty town with no townsfolk. It was as if the ponies disappeared into thin air. Fun fact: I own thin air. So stop breathing all of it. Now. Are we clear? I hope so. Back on track. My original host looked at her hooves in amazement. Did she really do that? Did she really destroy all those ponies? That was a hypothetical question, for your information. In any case, My Little Showmare had just discovered her true powers, given to her by yours truly. For some reason, she was sad. Angry even. And a bit scared. "Am I....a monster?" Trix wept like a filly. Oh. That's my cue. Excuse me. "No need to fret, my darling." A voice echoed. "What the....who?" Trixie said as she quickly dried her tears. She looked in the sky to see a pony wearing a shadowy armor that seemed all too familiar. The pony floated down in front of Trixie to approach her. "Now, I believe we got off on the wrong foot." The pony said. "Nightmare!" Trixie exclaimed, recognizing the voice. "Be calm, child. Unlike last time, I mean you no harm." Nightmare said, soothingly. "And why should I beleive you this time!" Trixie asked, suspiciously. "Because, Trix-Trix....I can *make you believe me."*** Nightmare said as she quickly changed her tone. Her welcoming smile turned into an evil grin. Nightmare's horn glowed and Trixie's eyes changed to green once more. "WHAT!?" Trixie yelled. Her vision began to change color as if she was wearing sunglasses. Everything she saw was in a green color. Trixie recognized this feeling from before. She had felt it when she brought down the Ursa Major. "Do you see now? Did you ever wonder how you really beat that Ursa? Or how you defeated me? Or how you're still alive right now? Or why I'm asking you all these questions? The answer to almost all of them have been given to you now, my child." Nightmare said as she offering Trixie her hoof. "I AM NOT YOUR CHILD!" Trixie screamed in reply. Trixie found herself, once again, safe and sound in her bed. There was no Nightmare, no amulet and now green eyes. Apparently. Trixie sighed. She took one last look at her hooves before going back to sleep. But she thought about that dream all through the night. The ideas and questions she had haunted her. Was what Nightmare had said was true? Could Trixie herself be Nightmare's next trick up her sleeve? Maybe. Maybe not. Only time will tell and I control that too. Remember this "loyal viewers": time and space will be mine. Among them will be Trixie. Perhaps you too shall be mine.... Oh no, I'm just kidding! Sleep well, everyhuman. May all your dreams be *Nightmares.** Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!"* Darn it, Nighty...
