//-------------------------------------------------------// A sister's past -by ImportantPony- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Introduction //-------------------------------------------------------// Introduction "Tia! Tia! Tia!" a familiar voice squealed Celestia slowly opened her eyes and looked at her sister, who was deviously grinning at her. Celestia groaned, as she used her magic to pry Luna off her bed. She rubbed her eyes, and looked around the room. It was dark. Too dark. "Luna!" Celestia growled, "Why did you wake me up this early?" "So we could watch the sun rise!" Luna giggled, while clapping her hooves in excitement. Celestia's tired frown turned into a soft smile. She gave a little chuckle and shuffled out of bed. She peered out of the old window at the very edge of the room. She saw an orange glimmer rise over the undulating hills. She gazed at it, showing great interest. "One day," Celestia whispered, "One day, I'll be given the honour of raising the sun" Celestia sat there, patiently, until the sun was fully visible. Suddenly a loud, high-pitched scream echoed through the castle. Celestia's eyes widened. She swung the bedroom door open and galloped down the hall, her heart racing. She stopped. She saw her sister, Luna and her father, Solar Star, messing around with trap-doors, sending Luna whirling everywhere. They were both laughing with wide, goofy grins on their faces. Celestia gave a kind giggle and trotted back to her bed to continue dreaming of her raising the sun. The rest of the day was ordinary ; as ordinary as a Princess's day goes. The fillies chased each other through he echoing halls, until they finally collapsed in sheer exhaustion. Their breathing was heavy, as if they wee drowning, gasping for air. Yet they were laughing. Laughing with pleasure and delight. "Tia!" Luna chirped, "I'm so hungry! Let's sneak something from the cupboard! No one will notice" Celestia grimaced. They weren't supposed to steal from the cupboards, it was reckless and dangerous.
