I hate it at home. I work all day and night, everyday, cleaning, cooking, farming, you name it, I do it. All of this for a piece of scrap metal and leftovers. Of course, having worked for over five years I have built up quite the collection. I mean, I was supposed to auction the metal and give my "caretakers" the money. But I hate them, and I think they don't deserve it. Using all the metal, I go to work, figuratively speaking, and create everything from modern art to metal toys.
"Ja~son," someone called from downstairs - if a voice could be described as ugly, that was it, but it had a, obviously fake, caring tone to it and that could only mean one thing, Elize.
Elize was the only girl, only person, who wanted to be friends with me. Even so, I refused to make friends with her, because I am ninety percent sure that this is a trick, and I'm not falling for it, but she literally begs, so every time she came around, I have to act nice around her.
"At least they are better today," I mutter under my breath.
Elize lived alone, so she knew how to take care of herself, like me, but was very lady-like, unlike me, so I hated how she could pull it off. I guess it could be because she doesn't have anyone like them, but I prefer to hate her because of that instead. She also gets all the money I give to them, so it's basically she lives because of me, and that is the most I'm doing for her out of my own, semi, free-will, if I could qualify to have any.
I head downstairs and greet Elize.
"Hey, Elize,"
"Hi~ Jason," Elize greets me with the most cheerful voice possible.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see one of my caretakers go outside. I tilt my head because they barely ever go outside, even when we need food, I usually go. Then it hits me, they are moving some dogs, no, wolves, close by.
"Hello~" - she waves her hand in front of me - "Jason?
"Huh, oh uh, it's nothing," I reply.
"Well, okay," - she jumps in joy - "well then, let's go outside!"
"Sure, one sec, I'll just go get my shoes on."
Huh, that's strange, where has everyone gone? Oh, well. I put my shoes on and head outside. Only to see the pack of wolves savagely eating some fresh meat. Ha, that's funny, it smells the same as Elize's... perfume? Wait, where is Elize... A bit of meat touches my foot. I look down.
"E-Eli-ze," That isn't just a piece of meat, that's Elize's head, on it's side, mouth open, like she's just had a nightmare. No, that's not it, she was in a nightmare, and now I'm in it too. I fall onto my knees, start crying and slowing slip out of consciousness.
I had a dream, the first dream since before my parents died. My dreams were always strange, but they were always vision from the past of future, for example, I saw my entire toddler-hood but never saw the way my parents died, until now.
I saw darkness, then a flash of lightning, then someone called to a person named Jane, the same name as one of my caretakers, and said : "Give me the knife, I'll turn 'em into mince meat and kidnap their kid and make 'im our slave."
"Sure thing, Luce," The other, Jane, called. Jane and Luce, short for Lucy, most likely, the names of my caretakers.
They head into a house, decorated with little stickers all over the house, the same from when I was six, if I remember correctly, and I usually can remember anything I'm conscious for and all my dream-visions. Inside the house were two parents, caring for a sleeping child, who looked like he was being strangled by a snake, or a rope.
The father spoke, "Is he having another bad dream?"
"Mm," - The mother nodded - "I think so."
I watched the scene from
"Ugh, what the hell just happened," I say, opening my eyes. A huge jolt of pain surges through my right eye which causes me to try and reach up but for some reason I can't reach my eye. I open my eyes slightly more.
"What!" I shout. I no longer have a hand, my arm is short and extends into a wide, finger-less hand.
"Ah you're awake," squeaks a young, female voice from nearby, frightened by my sudden outburst. "Hold up, I'll get you some more food."
"Hey, h-hey, wait," It's no use, she's already run off. Oh well, I guess I'll just wait.
"Sorry about that, I'm a bit stupid so I forgot to bring food," I heart her skipping around the colourful room.
"Gah," I exclaim. She jumps in front me so I can see her, it, what? She's a pink pony with a long, cyan mane with white stripes that looks like a crown at the front and falls over her left side. She has large, blue eyes and headphones around her neck. What surprises me most is that she has wings that fade from a pink start to a red end, with a small part of yellow in between. She has a long tail, the same colour as her mane. She has two red stripes on each of her legs with two rings, partially covering the two stripes in the top and bottom parts of her legs. Her muzzle is red, she has an upside down, red v shape at the top-center of her head and three stripes covering the underside of her bottom jaw. "Oh, I get it, that syringe made me go loopy."
"Syringe, what syringe? You fell from the sky and landed nearby so I went and took you in and got you back to good health. Though it is a bit strange, ain't it," she replies as she walks towards the door.
"Wait, what, so I fell from the sky into a place where there are pegasuses, pegasi or whatever that can talk? I'm supposed to believe that. Yep, I am definitely loopy. By the way, what's your name?"
"Aly-" she stops herself before speaking again. "Eternal."
"Okay, Eternal, where is this?"
"Equestria, well, whatever remains of it after Princess Luna and Princess Celestia were imprisoned."
"Hold up, Equestria, as in My Little Pony : Friendship Is whatever. That Equestria? Because that is fictional. Also, aren't those two like, gods or something?"
"What's that?"
"Just a show with ponies and pegasi and unicorns and stuff. Never liked it myself but Elize-" I stop. More of my memories are returning. I remember Elize's head, rolling around on the floor. "No, no, no, no, no, she's not dead, she's not dead, NO!" My scream echoes around the walls.
"Hey there, a-are you alright? What's the matter, fella?"
I slump further down onto the floor, remembering what the wolves did, what Lucy and Jane did, what I did.
"Hey, can you help me out here, I kinda don't know how to walk?" My voice wretched and gloomy.
"S-sure. But why can't you walk?"
"I'm new to this, okay!"
"O-Okay, Jesus, stress head."
"Hey, I heard that."
"Oh, you were meant to."
I roll my eyes as she helps me get up and adjusted to walking.
