//-------------------------------------------------------// My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: Serenity's Uprising -by Mystery Psychotic Studio- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Birth of Serenity //-------------------------------------------------------// The Birth of Serenity Years ago, when the planet was nothing but a wasteland of rocks, desert and dark...... there was light. Faust, the supreme alicorn and deity along with the other alicorns, brought light, life and harmony to dark planet which was called Equis. They helped create the ponies who would inhabit the land, the weather and even the sun and moon and the stars in the sky. The most noble of all these alicorns was one named Malumpere. He helped cure many illnesses that befell the tragic mortals, kept the peace, spread the voice of harmony across the land and even learned under Faust herself, who she felt was her most faithful student. But one day after a tragic war that resulted in many deaths Malumpere became different. The once kind figure became cold, distant and vicious towards his comrades. He barely paid attention to his studies and the earth ponies, pegasi and unicorns of the planet. What they could never have thought was that on the inside a dark evil grew. Many years passed and suddenly Malumpere attacked Faust and the other alicorns with an army of monsters and demons that he made from the elements of the planet. The battle raged for a very long time and both sides were equal in strength and magic but Malumpere's army was defeated, stripped of his power and he was banished from his home. But the dark alicorn vowed vengeance upon Faust and fled from his former teacher. He took refuge in a cave and sealed himself off from the outside world. As the world Malumpere helped create grew so did his anger, bitterness and hate towards harmony and Faust. He grew sick and tired of having his powers revoked so he plotted some way to get them back. He tried many ways but could never do it. His evil emotions grew and grew until it became a magical source of it's own. The dark alicorn was surprised and had glee in his face. He seemed to create a new form of magic from his dark emotions which he called Dark Magic. He discovered his new abilities came and grow more powerful from his emotions so the more anger he felt on the inside the more powerful his magic grew. Eventually, the dark alicorn made the cave into a portal to a place where the souls of the deceased rested. The dark alicorn conversed with the spirits, sympathized with them, understood their pain and misery. They had all the power and abilities in the world when they were alive and now they were dead with their abilities gone. He gave the spirits samples of his dark magic and told them that they could do whatever they wanted with these new abilities. The souls became prideful and made Malumpere their leader in this world which he decided to name Tartarus. As he became more powerful in his dark magic and becoming the ruler of a new world, a world he could control and shape into any image he wanted he became very prideful along with the souls and his wrath and envy towards Faust grew larger than it could ever grow. He decided to explore his new realm and he came across a mirror made entirely of crystal. Curious towards the strange mirror he looked into it and he discovered it acted as a portal to another world. This world was different from his, as it was populated with strange bipedal creatures, technology which was yet to be invented and the ponies and other animals in their world were just ordinary creatures. Malumpere grew fascinated with the creatures which he discovered were named humans. He discovered their many inventions, their fascinating history and found them incredibly superior to the alicorns and regular ponies. In fact, he grew so fascinated with them that he decided to take the form of a human and he never once changed back to a regular alicorn. As the years flew by, Malumpere  further developed his dark magic by testing it on the mortal ponies of the surface world. He discovered that he could naturally deceive the ponies into doing wrongful deeds which he deemed Serenity and found it more superior than Harmony. He even found he could do many evil and dark things with his magic like stealing souls and corrupting the good into evil, no matter how pure they were. Malumpere than declared himself the God of Evil and Corruption and since then he has been in a never-ending war against Harmony. "Quite a fascinating read. But then again I lived through it." Someone's voice echoed. The voice came from a human sitting atop a throne. His skin was blue, his eyes were red, his hair was straight and very sophisticated, he dressed in a fancy tuxedo with a bow tie and he was holding a black book. By his side was a violin which he caressed under his arm. He had a very evil smirk about him as he shut the book closed. "This war isn't going to keep going on and on. There is going to be a victor and I will be that victor." The human said as he got up from his throne and walked down steps towards a fountain which was spewing blood instead of water, "I think it's time to put my plan into action." He clapped his hands together and the fountain spewed an image of Princess Twilight Sparkle, her friends and Celestia and Luna. "Oh you poor harmony loving fools. You've never noticed but I've always been with you. I've been lurking in the shadows, watching carefully, silently laughing at you from the sidelines. Yet you've never noticed me after all these years........ how delightful. But I guess it doesn't matter because I.... Malumpere, ruler of Tartarus, shall soon destroy Harmony and replace it with my beautiful Serenity. Don't get used to living in safety because once I make my appearance, I shall destroy everything you hold dearly. Mwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, I'm good at that!" Celestia awoke from her slumber with a shocked expression as her sister Luna rushed inside. "Sister, what trouble do you sense?" She asked very concerned. "He's coming..... the ruler of Tartarus. He's planning something and I'm not sure if we'll be able to stop him." Celestia said very flustered. Luna trotted to her sisters side and held her closely, "Tia, you've dealt with him for over many years since you've become ruler of Equestria. I'm sure whatever he has planned we will be able to stop him." Celestia smiled and then nuzzled her loving sister, "Perhaps your right. But just to be safe I'll summon Twilight and her friends. They've dealt with many threats to their home and I'm certain they'll be able to deal with Malumpere." //-------------------------------------------------------// Meeting the God of Tartarus //-------------------------------------------------------// Meeting the God of Tartarus The Friendship Express was making its way towards Canterlot at its usual leisurely pace but the passengers on the train are our focus. The Elements of Harmony: Princess Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash along with the baby dragon Spike. The young princess was very distraught in thought..... as usual. For she and her friends had been summoned by Princess Celestia to come to her castle immediately. "What could she possibly want? What kind of trouble could there be?!" Twilight pondered until her ponderer couldn't ponder anymore. "Calm down, Twi." Spike said very calm, "It's probably nothing too serious." "Spike, every single time the princess has called us something terrible has happened. So how can I not worry?" Twilight asked. "I suppose you do have a point. But I do like to be optimistic." Spike said and got out a comic book from his carrier bag. "I must agree. You do tend to overreact quite a bit." Rarity commented. Everypony than looked at the fashion pony with strange looks. "What? What is it?" Rarity asked. "Your commenting how Twilight overreacts when you called loosing a diamond ribbon the WORST. POSSIBLE. THING." Dash imitated. Rarity then got a sheepish and embarrassed look. "Well, like Spikey-wikey said..... I like to be optimistic?" She commented. Everypony chuckled a bit at that and even Rarity got a little laugh out of her. But the princess of friendship still had her doubts that something would go wrong. Our heroes eventually arrived at their destination and approached the castle. "Welcome Princess Twilight. The other princesses have been awaiting your arrival." One guard said. "Um, thank you." Twilight said with a smile as the two guards led the elements inside. Our heroes made their way through the castle to the throne room where Celestia and Luna were waiting for them. "Princess Celestia, Princess Luna. Why have you called us here?" Twilight asked. The Princesses seemed to have very distraught looks upon them but they tried to remain composed and sophisticated in front of their subjects. Celestia then took a deep breath and exhaled and eventually said, "Girls, a great evil is going to descend upon the world." "This evil has been around since the birth of the planet." Luna stated, "He's a monster of terrible proportions." "Monster? Now that's quite harsh don't you think?" A voice echoed through the throne room. Everypony in the room jumped in surprise at the sound of the mysterious voice. "Who said that?!" Twilight shouted. "Malumpere! Show thyself!" Luna shouted in anger. "Hm hm hm..... Anything for you Luny." The voice chuckled. Suddenly it felt as if the air had gotten denser and the entire throne room seemed to get darker. Suddenly Luna and Celestia were forced off the throne area by a dark mysterious ball. "Oops. My bad." The voice said again as the ball seemed to form something. It formed into an unfamiliar shape as it sat down on Celestia's throne it finally revealed who it was. It was a human in a tuxedo. "Celly, Luny, my dear old enemies. How long has it been?" The human greeted. "Malumpere, you aren't welcome here." Celestia said sternly. "Well that's no way to treat a guest. I thought you were brought up to be proper and mare-like? Guess they skipped that chapter." Malumpere joked. Twilight was blown away. Malumpere was...... one of those humans from the world she went through in the crystal mirror. Her mouth was even agape. "Well, looks like the new princess has mouth troubles." The human smirked. Twilight immediately fixed her mouth and said, "Who are you Malumpere? What's your business here?" "Ha ha ha ha ha ha. My business? Oh nothing much, just a diabolical plan to eliminate harmony and friendship. A typical day in my life." The human said nonchalantly, "But then again. What do you expect when you have the powers of a god and your the ruler of Tartarus itself?" "Tartarus? You mean that stinkhole where all the dead ponies, demons and Tirek reside?" Dash said. "Yes, indeed. But it's MY stinkhole." Malumpere said with a very serious look on his face. "Whatever it is we're not gonna let you get away with whatever your planning!" Dash shouted. "I doubt I'll be stopped by a group of techni-colored ponies especially one with a stupid colored mane and is dumber than a sack of baby chickens." The ruler of Tartarus taunted with a smirk on his face. That comment really got Dash mad and she shouted, "How dare you! I'll knock that look right off your face!" She then charged straight at Malumpere prepared to deliver a buck to his face. However when she got close Malumpere lifted up one finger and blasted a dark magic beam in her face sending her flying into the ceiling. "Hmph. Guess I know what nickname to give you now. Stupid, arrogant, pompous, numbskull." He taunted still having that smirk on his face. "Dash!" Applejack shouted, "Now y'all listen here partner. I'm not gonna stand by and let some weird looking creature hurt mah friends." "If you like her so much just kiss your marefriend already!" Malumpere shouted and laughed at his own joke. Applejack really got ticked at that joke and then got out her lasso and threw it towards the evil human. However said human simply teleported out of the way and delivered a powerful chop to her neck sending her to the ground in pain and then teleported back to to the throne. "Are we done yet?" He taunted. "Wait a minute. I've seen that kind of magic before. He's using dark magic!" Twilight shouted in realization. "Congratulations, captain obvious. But you'd be surprised how I learned it....... I created it." Malumpere said proudly. Everypony was shocked by this realization. "Indeed. About when I helped create this world. Yep, I helped create the world we live in today along with Faust and the alicorns. You can thank me later." Malumpere smiled. "Tis true. He did help create the world we live in today." Luna admitted. "Finally, I get some credit from you." The ruler of Tartarus said smiling. "But that does not excuse the things thou have done in the past." Luna rebutted. "Wait, if your gonna tell them my many achievements." Malumpere stopped and then snapped his fingers. Suddenly the girls and princesses were in some movie theater and Malumpere was right next to them, "I'll just show them. Enjoy the picture and do remember to silence your cell phones." "Cell phones?" Applejack went. "Oh nevermind. Just enjoy the show." Malumpere commented, snapped his fingers again and a projecter started up and showed images on the big screen. "I just love those old cartoons. Reminds me of the good ol' days." He commented. Suddenly words popped up saying 'Malumpere's Greatest Accomplishments in History.' It started with showing Malumpere in a very old looking Equestria. "This was one of my first acts of pure villainy against Equestria." He explained. Malumpere than took the wind and ice and used his dark magic to form something. When he was done it was revealed that he had made..... the Windigos! "I knew tensions between the earth ponies, unicorns and pegasi were pretty high. So how to get them even higher? Well make the Windigos that feed on that bitterness and turn Equestria into a snowy wasteland." Malumpere chuckled, "The bickering by the pony leaders was so strong enough that they didn't even need the other ponies to fight just to make more snow, ice and make Equestria even colder." Suddenly Malumpere got a very sour look, "Unfortunately, three little ponies wouldn't see things like the others did and made the accursed 'Fire of Friendship' which destroyed my beautiful creations. But still the damage was done and I still consider it a victory in its own merrit." The movie than showed him with Discord of all things, "Ah, my good ol' friend Discord. We were quite the pair back in the day. I even helped him take over Equestria. My dark magic combined with his chaotic magic was enough to beat even the princesses. That was when I made my presence known to the ponies and Celly and Luny over there. But unfortunately those two had to go and find the Elements of Harmony from the Tree of Harmony and turn my buddy into stone. That really made me angry which only made me stronger. For you see magic is based on ones emotions. Take regular magic, your good emotions power that magic and make you do the extraordinary  stuff you do. Dark magic however is more based on the negative emotions. Wrath, Pride, Anger and even sadness. I've felt those emotions through most of my life which is why I'm more powerful than Princess sun and Moon butt over there." Twilight was very shocked that he could just insult them like that. She would have tried to attack him but she saw what happened to the princesses, Dash and AJ so she just stayed in her seat. He seemed like Discord a bit with his dark sense of humor and constant insults but she could also sense the bitterness and anger within him. Like behind that cocky smirk he made was a face of pure rage and evil. He also seemed to take some things very seriously which made him pretty creepy when his serious face showed. The last images showed Luna feeling very down on the balcony. "Ooooooh..... This ones my favorite." The god of Tartarus said very anxious and rubbing his hands together. Suddenly Malumpere appeared next to Luna. She's naturally shocked and ready to fight him but he surprisingly puts his hands up in protest. "Whoa, easy Luna. I'm just here for a friendly visit." The villain on the screen said calmly. "Thou thinkith us for a fool?!" Luna shouted. "No, not at all. In fact I greatly admire the beautiful nights you create." Malumpere complimented. Luna seemed to be effected by this as she unlit her horn and got a very somber look. "What's the matter? Haven't you gotten compliments about your nights?" Malumpere asked concerned. "....... No, we have not. The ponies have only slept through it or shunned it." Luna answered. Malumpere made a pretty shocked look, "You don't say?" "Tis true. They seem to favor my sister's mornings and sun." Luna answered feeling very sad. ".... Doesn't that seem a bit unfair?" The god of evil questioned, "Celestia may be the eldest but aren't you her equal? Her sister? Don't you think she would have told the ponies to respect your nights by now?" Luna let that question ponder around in her head as she formed an answer, "I do agree it is strange that she had not asked the ponies to respect my beautiful nights." "Don't you think you deserve some credit?" Malumpere asked walking behind her. "Yes, I do believe that. Why hasn't Tia given me any credit?" Luna asked feeling confused. "If you asked me.... I think she's trying to shun you out to keep the ponies approval of her." Malumpere suggested. "What? No, tis nonsense. Tia wouldn't......" Luna started and then that question seemed to ring true, "Actually..... Now that I think about it Tia never once talked about me during any of the meetings and she never once talked with the citizens about who created the nights." "Quite strange. Your own sister hasn't given her own flesh and blood a chance in the spotlight." Malumpere said and then whispered in her ear, "Perhaps what I say is not so far-fetched." Then he just disappeared into the wind leaving Luna there with her thoughts. "Those words I put in her head made her think. Then..... well you all know the story." Malumpere commented and then showed images of Celestia's battle with Nightmare Moon and her eventual defeat by the Elements of Harmony. "And we know the rest of the history." The dark ruler chuckled, snapped his fingers and they were all returned to the throne room, "Now wasn't that quite a watch?" "I let you deceive me once. Never again!" Luna shouted in anger. "Ah, still the tempermental mare I knew long ago." Malumpere taunted, "Ahhhhhh.... memories." "Enough. What are you planning?" Celestia asked with a serious look. "Oh Celly, don't you remember? A plan to erase all harmony and friendship from this world..... no biggie." Malumpere joked. "Your not very funny." Pinkie said, "And I should know. I'm hilarious!" "You are not hilarious. You are annoying!" Malumpere shouted sprouting an angry face and surprisingly lava was pouring out of his ears, "Plus you are dumber than a sack of rocks!" He did manage to calm himself down, stop the lava, and compose himself, "But no matter. I will succeed in eliminating friendship and harmony and replace it with my Serenity." "Serenity?" Twilight said confused. "Ah, my counter solution to the 'magic of friendship.' When you follow Serenity you are empowered with pride and wrath and it makes you strong while friendship weakens you and only lets you go so far." Malumpere explained. "Pride, wrath? Those are sins upon themselves!" Luna shouted in anger. "Yes, but they do solve problems better than friendship." The dark human rebutted. "I don't believe you. Friendship will always be better than your Serenity." Twilight announced. Malumpere then got a smirk upon his face, "Really? Why don't you put your bits where your mouth is? I issue you six a proposition. I will prepare problems that can be solved by pathetic friendship or Serenity. If friendship outdoes serenity I shall admit defeat and return to my realm.... however. Should Serenity be victorious than this world must abandon their ways and embrace mine!" "Why would we agree to that?!" Dash shouted. "We don't have to take your challenge. Instead, we could simply defeat you." Rarity proposed. "Really? Have you not seen what I am capable of?" Malumpere asked and walked towards the balcony. He then formed a dark energy ball in his finger and sent it above Canterlot which became extremely big, "Perhaps your precious Canterlot needs an example of my superiority." "You bluff!" Luna shouted, "Thou wouldn't dare harm the citizens of this fair town." The evil human still had that smirk on his face and made the ball disappear, "Your right...... but then again this city of snobs, fools and rich folk doesn't need my help in destroying itself." The element bearers sat there stumped on what to do. Seeing no other option Twilight said, "Fine, we accept your challenge." "Excellent. I will look forward to beating all of you. Farewell for now bearers. Twilight Sparkle, or obsessive compulsive nitwit, Rainbow Dash, or stupid arrogant pompous numbskull, Pinkie Pie, or annoying stupid retard, Rarity, or whiny over the top bitch, Applejack, or stubborn redneck stereotype, Fluttershy, or wimpy spineless doormat, and lastly Spike, or............ baby." Malumpere said feeling bored. "Huh? How come I only get one name?" Spike questioned. "Because honestly your not worth my time and are just a liability or comic relief. You don't deserve a clever name. Besides you are a baby dragon so that makes you a baby. Wah wah wah....... T.T.F.N. ta ta for now." Malumpere waved and disappeared in the same dark ball. "Don't worry Princess Celestia and Luna. We'll take care of Malumpere and beat his challenges." Twilight said proudly. "Yeah! Then we'll kick his flank all the way back to Tartarus where he belongs!" Dash shouted. "Do be careful though. Malumpere has a way with words. Don't let him get in your head." Celestia warned. Twilight nodded as she and her friends exited the castle on what would probably be their biggest adventure yet. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Challenges //-------------------------------------------------------// The Challenges Princess Twilight packed her stuff in her satchel bag as she prepared for Malumpere's challenges. She had a very serious yet distraught look upon her as she was reading a ton of books at the same time. "Something wrong?" Spike asked. "..... I'm trying to find any information on Malumpere and I'm coming up with nothing." Twilight answered, "Not a single book I can find in this castle tells anything about him. Even the history books don't list Malumpere in any way shape or form." "Guess you can't always get your answers from a book." Spike chuckled. Twilight made a stern look at Spike but sighed and said, "Maybe if I'm lucky Malumpere in a egotistical way will tell me something about him." "That's a big IF. That jerk won't just share information with anypony." Spike said cross. "He showed a movie of his 'greatest achievements in history' I think his ego is that gigantic." Twilight rebutted. "Oh..... well that doesn't mean he will...." Spike said nervously. "You still upset about what Malumpere called you?" The princess of friendship asked. "How could you tell?" Spike asked and Twilight pointed to a world drawn on his head 'baby', "Oh..... Wait how did that even get there?!" Suddenly a giant dark ball formed in the middle of Twilight's new throne room showing Malumperes head, "That would be me. I didn't want to repeat that lackluster name so I just drew it on there but very hard to remove ink. Enjoy! Also, meet me at these coordinates. Don't be late for your very important date." Then the dark ball showed someplace in the Everfree Forest. "Been a while since we've been there. Guess it's time to face this foe head on." The princess said proudly. Spike however was trying to wipe off the ink on his head but to no avail. Our heroes met up at the Everfree Forest, taking deep breaths they made their way in. They traversed the dark forest until they made their way to where they were supposed to meet. It was a plain empty field with some giant standing stones in a big circle with weird symbols on them. And right outside of them was Malumpere sitting on a chair having a..... tea party to himself. There was a very long table with all sorts of tea cups and tea dispensers and there was even a classical band playing some classical music. He then rapidly teleported to Applejack, "By the way THIS is a phone. Just thought I'd show it to you since your such a technology free hillbilly." Applejack growled at this but strained herself to not attack and he teleported back to his chair drinking tea. "Ooooooh. I love tea parties!" Pinkie shouted and dashed to a chair and began to drink tea. "I'd be wary though..... that's poisoned by the way." Malumpere noted which made Pinkie spit her tea out and wipe off any tea on her tongue, "Kidding, kidding..... I haven't put the poison in yet." "That's not funny!" Pinkie shouted but then said, "But spit-takes are hilarious!" She then drank more tea and did a spit-take which hit Malumpere in his face. "I see you have the manners of a brain-dead monkey." He said clearly unamused. "Um...... Monkeys are actually brain-dead their actually-" Fluttershy tried to say but was then interrupted by the villain. "Excuse me... was I talking to YOU?!" He said getting very close to her face. "U-u-u-u-u-u-......... No..." Fluttershy whimpered and backed off. "For the love of f**king god! Grow a spine!" The god of Tartarus shouted. Fluttershy however whimpered more and got tears in her eyes. "This is why ponies walk over you. But no matter I'm not going to let this tea party get spoiled." Malumpere stated and went back to his seat, "Have a seat. Enjoy the tea I made specifically for this occasion." The element bearers were very wary but eventually they did sit down and drank the tea..... which was surprisingly delicious. "See? You girls are so paranoid. Just because I'm a villain hell-bent on taking over doesn't mean I don't have manners of my own." Malumpere said with a devilish smile. "I must admit..... this is quite delicious." Twilight noted drinking more tea. "Indeed. It's absolutely divine. What kind of tea is this?" Rarity asked in curiosity. "Oh... that's the best part." Malumpere said drinking more of the tea, "It's made of the pure red blood of demons and ponies." Everypony froze in place as the realization hit them..... they were drinking blood. They then promptly threw up in the nearest bushes. "Oh come on. It's not bad..... it tastes like cherries." The evil human joked. "That..... that is just horrible, repulsive, vile and disgusting! You sir, are a ruffian! You obviously have no way to treat a lady!" Rarity shouted in anger. Malumpere however had a very calm look and stated, "Bitch you just jealous that I'm more civilized than you considering your whinier than whine itself." Rarity just stood there mouth agape. This.... being was outright insulting her and he didn't care one bit. He truly was the definition of rude. "Look, jerk! I'm not gonna just stand here and let you actively make fun of my friends! Even if your the ruler of Tartarus I'm gonna kick  your flank!" Dash shouted. Malumpere simply chuckled, "Your going to try again? Even though you failed the first time? Your quite foolish and dense. I wonder how the Wonderbolts even picked you to be in their reserve. In fact I'm surprised they haven't kicked you out onto the side of the curve to fend for yourself without food or water." Then at that moment Dash got really pissed off. More pissed off than she usually was, "THAT'S IT!!!!! I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT I CAN DO!!!!!! I'LL SHOW YOU THAT I AM WORTHY TO BE IN THE WONDERBOLTS!!!!!" She then flew right up into the sky and when she was high enough she flew back down at super speed. Malumpere noted this and prepared a counter-attack in his own mind. As Dash got closer a giant rainbow explosion happened behind her. She had just done her Sonic Rainboom and was charging straight towards Malumpere. This'll show him!! I'll take him out and we won't even need to do any of his challenges! Dash thought to herself. However when Dash was just close enough Malumpere stepped to the side and delivered a fatal kick to her back sending her flying into a tree breaking it. "So that was the famous Rainboom. Even more incredible than I thought it would. Shame it's in the hooves of an incompetent jackass." The dark human insulted with that same smirk on his face. Dash managed to get herself free of the tree feeling dazed. "Now let me show you MY Sonic Rainboom." Malumpere announced and then took to the sky. In fact he wasn't even aiming for the sky..... he left the planet's atmosphere until he couldn't even be seen. "Wait, his own Rainboom? But it took me a lot of hard work to pull off a rainboom. How can he be able to do one?!" Dash shouted in confusion. Suddenly a blink in the sky appeared and it was heading towards Dash. Then a giant explosion of a dark rainbow appeared behind the flash and rushed towards Dash. She was going to get out of the way but it was too fast for even her and it slammed right into her causing a giant dark rainboom which sent the other heroes flying away but Twilight managed to catch them all in a magical field. "Dashie!!!" Pinkie shouted in shock. When the dust cleared Malumpere was standing above Dash with his foot on her. Thankfully she wasn't dead but boy was she battered. In fact she was bleeding as that impact scrambled her organs and made cuts appear on her body. "But-but how?" Dash asked weakly. "One of my many impressive abilities. I can copy any ability I've seen perfectly. Only mine are more awesome and more powerful. Including a more awesome man behind the action." Malumpere gloated. "Get off her!!!" Twilight shouted. "Gladly." Malumpere said and lifted his foot..... and then kicked Dash to her friends causing more pain to her, "Now do you see the basis of what your going up against?" He then laughed maniacally and then he got a very demented creepy look as his smile got demonic and his eyes glowed red and when he spoke he had a very demonic voice, "Taking me lightly will cost you your lives." "Enough! We've come here at your request now what are your challenges?" Twilight asked sternly. Malumpere's face returned to normal and he got a very monotone look, "Mare only interested in the climax. You must be a real hit with the colts." Twilight then blushed a bit in embarrassment but shook it off. "Very well, those rocks over there are special. They carry magical powers. They can project images and even take us to holographic places. We will be using that in our challenges. A battle between the magic of friendship and the power of serenity. Rules are simple: we will fix the problem in our own special way. But to decide who goes first we each pull straws and whoever's ideals fixes the problem gets a point. Whoever has the most points wins. We'll go with three because I don't want it to go very long." The dark being explained. "Alright, we'll accept ya'll challenge." Applejack answered. "Very well." Malumpere nodded. "Fluttershy, you take care of Dash." Twilight said in concern. "I'll take good care of her, Twilight." Fluttershy nodded and started tending to Dash's wounds. "Now, we shall begin with a simple issue." Malumpere started and then snapped his fingers. The symbols on the stones started to glow and a magical aura appeared above the stones. Then that aura projected images of a small colt being picked on by two other colts. "A simple case of bullying. The poor child hasn't earned his cutie mark and these two are picking on him because of that. It actually brings a tear to my eye." Malumpere said as a tear tried to get out but was quickly sucked back into his socket, "Alright, now to pull straws." He then conjured up some straws and held them out in his hand. "Mares first my dear." Malumpere offered politely. Twilight was skeptical but then decided to draw a straw. It was medium sized. "Ah, that's a good draw. Now let's see what I get." Malumpere said and drew a straw. It was a very short straw, "Damn it all. Fine go ahead and work your magic." "With pleasure." Twilight nodded and trotted towards the holographic ponies. Due to this being a waste of time I have decided to fast forward these events to not waste the time of the reader. Enjoy." Malumpere then disappeared and the events stopped fast-forwarding. "Hey, that wasn't nice to fast forward just like that." Pinkie commented. "You actually saw that? Oh wait, your you. You don't make any sense. But I'll just say that I guess you won that first round. But now for the second challenge." Malumpere said and snapped his fingers. The same aura enveloped our heroes and Malumpere and they were suddenly in Ponyville and it was being attacked by some giant monster. "Ah, the lovely colossus. Observe as it tries to destroy your town. Now let's see what you usually do to fix the problem." The dark being commented and hung back leaning on a lamp pole. Twilight was a little worried as with only four of them their rainbow power wouldn't be as effective. But they would have to try. "Alright girls, let's stop this monster!" Twilight shouted. "Right." The other mares said. Twilight concentrated very hard as she focused her magic. A rainbow aura surrounded them and they transformed into their rainbow forms. They then prepared a giant rainbow beam to fire at the monster. "Hmmm. Interesting power. I'll have to take note of this." Malumpere said to himself making a mental note. The element bearers finally finished charging their rainbow beam and fired it at the colossus as it circled around the monster and engulfed it. But to a shock it didn't work, it seemed to weaken it, but it still was there and now it was coming towards them and slowly swung it's club towards our heroes as they were knocked out of their rainbow forms. "Relying on deus ex machinas to win your battles? Somepony's lazy as f**k." Malumpere joked, "Now, stand aside. You shall see what tricks I have up my sleeves." He then calmly strutted towards the colossus. "Hey, big guy! I got five words for you! I'm. Gonna. Kick. Your. Ass!" He taunted. "He's more confident than Dash. That monster's twice his size and he thinks he can take it on." AJ said surprised. The monster growled at Malumpere who simply cracked his knuckles and made a few air punches. The colossi growled and then prepared to slam its club towards Malumpere. When it got close he simply used his katana to block it and then quickly cut it into a million pieces and subsequently cut the monster as its blood dripped to the ground. "Hey, monster! Who the hell do you think I am? I'll tell you who, I'm Malumpere, your destruction!" He shouted with a cocky grin. Malumpere then started running up the giants leg slashing away making more blood bleed out. He then began to fire dark magic blasts which caused massive damange and sent it down to the ground. The ruler of Tartarus then jumped high into the sky and surrounded the blade of his katana in dark magic. It became bigger in a dark aura as he stabbed the blade into the creatures heart and then it started to absorb the creature until it was no more. He then twirled his blade around a bit before making it disappear. "And that my dear comrades is what the power of serenity can do. When you follow my way with pride and wrath you empower yourself, make yourself stronger! Plus, it's more effective than your deus ex machinas you pull out of your asses." He turned around and saw that Twilight and her pals got covered in its blood. "Oops. My bad." Malumpere said but still smirked. Then Ponyville disappeared and they were back by the stones and in the forest. "Well there's only one challenge left and it's going to be quite a difficult task to do." Malumpere stated. The element bearers however still had their mouth agapes. He was so powerful. He easily took down the monster with only a sword and dark magic. If this wasn't his true power..... then the thought of what he could actually do at full strength terrified them. Twilight managed to shake herself back to reality, "Whatever it is, we're ready for it." "Heh. Very well." Malumpere smirked, snapped his fingers and the rocks transported them to somewhere very old like. It looked like a wasteland. The element bearers looked around and found two large groups on opposite sides of the wasteland. On one was a side of ponies in old looking armor and on the other were griffons. "What is this place?" Twilight asked. "It's so old. Almost like something out of a history book." Rarity commented. "You'd be surprised.... this is a historical place. Here a great battle was fought and tons of lives were lost." Malumpere explained. "Lives lost?" Applejack asked worried. "Wait a minute.... I remember this place!" Pinkie shouted. "Oh you should. Because this is the place where the final battle of the great Pony and Griffon war took place! The big part, we are going to act as peacekeepers!" Malumpere shouted. The air grew tense as our heroes looked upon both groups as this would definitely be the toughest challenge they've ever faced. If was up to them to prevent the lives of those lost many years ago.
