Queen Chrysalis dreamed from the time she was small of acquiring a final source of perpetual food and security for her subjects. But . . . she failed, as any present that day in Canterlot could attest to.

Now though, hope begins to emerge in ways she would never have thought of, and in some forms she's reluctant to accept. But she is a Queen, and her Changelings depend on her. Their continuity has been at risk since her Canterlot failure, and for their sake . . . as long as they will be safe and survive, she can will herself to accept what options fate has given her.

Even if it ends with them living with, and being friendly to Ponies.
