Chapter nine: Twilight’s Herd

For two months Twilight enjoyed everything about her new ‘role’ in life. She found herself spending her time either with her friends, or wrapped in Luna or Rainbow’s hooves. Rarely, she managed to get them both at the same time. Those times were rare, but she treasured them all the same.. Somehow, they had managed to keep it from the other four, however, Twilight suspected that Pinkie knew but that was only because she knew everything.

Oddly, Twilight found herself more and more demanding of her herd’s time as time went on. She loved the feeling of Rainbow riding her cunt or ass to orgasm, or even the taste of Luna’s marehood on her muzzle as she grinded herself upon her face. Such things were a pleasure in their own right.

However, this morning she felt… strange. Sick even.

“Twilight! Are you okay?!” Spike yelled from the other side of the door as Twilight puked into the toilet.

She looked down, at her mess, unsure what has caused it. It had been months since she last drank anything, she didn’t feel like she had food poisoning, and there was nothing else she could think of.

Her thoughts were interrupted by another upchuck. “Spike…” Twilight said as she sat by the toilet. “I… I don’t feel good.”

The little dragon came in, uncertainty on his face. “What do you…” he paused, seeing the condition she was in. “I’ll get the doctor.”

Twilight watched him leave. She wanted him to come back and help her to bed, but she knew it was best for him to get the doc. With a grunt of pain, she looked for the two spells she had memorized. Princess Luna and Rainbow both had a stone now, however, Luna was more than likely busy at cort, and Rainbow was close by. So she went with Rainbow.

In ten second flat Rainbow flew through the bedroom window. “Twi! Yo, Twi! You wearing the Wonderbolt outfit again?!”

“In here,” Twilight said.

Rainbow walked in and her smile instantly faded to a frown at her friend's condition. “I’ll get you to a doctor!”

“No, Spikes getting one, just… just get me to bed.”

Rainbow nodded and walked over, helping Twilight to her hooves she walked her over to the bed. With care, she laid her friend down upon it. Bringing up the blanket and tucking her in.

Twilight looked up with a smile. “Thanks Rainbow.”

“Anytime. Is there anything else you need? Water, food, waste bucket, somepony just to hold you?”

“All those things sound nice, but start with the waste bucket.” Twilight said as she felt her lips start to bulge out.

Rainbow responded at all speed, she grabbed a waste bucket and had it back in just time to catch the mess before it went everywhere.

“Alright, I’ll go get you some liquids, I think the food can wait though.”

“Good idea.” Twilight said with a smile.

As Rainbow flew to the kitchen she heard Spike running down the hallway, a pony followed quickly behind him. She was impressed, Spike must have moved quickly to make it there and back in such a short amount of time.

Grabbing the water she made her way back to the bedroom.

“Hey doc, what’s the problem with our-”

“Shh!” Spike called out.

“Sorry,” Rainbow said with a smile.

The unicorn used her magic to reposition the stethoscope on Twilight's chest. Listening to her heartbeat as she did so. “Hmm…” the mare said.

“What’s up doc?” Rainbow asked.

“Shh!” Spike said again.

Rainbow watched, bord as the doctor repositioned it again and again, and then again. This time lower, lower then she should have placed it.

“Ahh, that explains it!” the doctor pronounced excitedly.

“What?” Twilight asked as she gestured for Rainbow to pass over the water. Rainbow complied, letting the alicorn take a drink.

“I suppose congratulations are in order,” the doc said with a smile.

“Doc, keep playing twenty questions and I’m going to get pissed,” Rainbow replied.

“Princess Twilight is pregnant, to put it simple.” the mare said and huffed towards Rainbow.

“WHAT?” Twilight, Spike, and Rainbow yelled out at the same time.

The doctor looked back and forth to the two mares and the dragon in the room. Shaking her head she sighed, “If I had to guess, I’d say you’re about two months along. I’m also guessing it wasn’t planned. Well, I’ll leave you to discuss it; however, I want you to swing by my office later today, princess. We need to do further examinations and get you started on some pre-natal supplements.” At that the doctor stood up and left.

Whatever the doctor had said, Twilight wasn’t listening. She looked at Rainbow, trying to figure out what happened. ‘It can’t be Rainbow’s. I casted the spell on her.’ Twilight thought, then her eyes widened.

“LUNA!” she cried out and forced her power onto the connection towards Luna’s stone at the same time.

Rainbow knew what would happen next. So far in the last two months had seen it happen twice and each time had the same result. “Spike, would you mind giving us the room?” Rainbow asked.

Spike huffed, but left with a trail of complaints behind him.

Whatever they had expected, a blue glow and then the night princess appearing with some yelps of pain wasn’t quite it.

“Ouch! Twilight, would you be so nice and put less power into it next time?” Luna yelped, pointing at a bit of burned fur under the stone on her chest, the stone still shining brightly.

“YOU!” Twilight yelled right before she had to make use of the waste basket one more time.

“Rainbow, what… what happened?” the night princess asked.

“She was like that this morning, Spike found her and went to get the doctor, I helped her in bed,” Rainbow replied.

“What did the doctor say?” Luna asked, concerned.

“SHE SAID I’M PREGNANT!” Twilight yelled.

Luna blinked twice, then twice more.

“And I’m pretty sure it’s yours.” Twilight added.

“Oh, OH. Happy day!” Luna said with cheer in her voice.

“Luna!” Rainbow and Twilight yelled at the same time.

“Oh, forgive me, you two don’t know yet.”

“Know? Know what?!” Twilight asked.

“Well, remember how you asked me for the official rules for running a herd. Well, it took some digging but they were located last night. I meant to give it to you next time we meant, but now is as good a time as any,” Luna said with a smile as she teleported a scroll to her.

The lavender alicorn took it in her magic and ripped it open. Reading aloud it said:

All herds are only official as long as they obey the following five rules.

The master has to regularly see to the needs of every member of the herd.
The master must give birth, or father a foal, with every member of the herd at least once.
Every member of the herd acts as a father or mother for all the foals born within.
Any new members have to be indoctrinated by the entire herd.
Every member must obey the will of the master at all times.

Any member that fails to follow these rules is immediately disbarred, the members forbidden from interacting with the disbarred from that point on.

“As you see, you’ve already completed most of the steps, and now you're almost done with step two!” Luna replied, chipperly.”Although I have to correct you on one thing, it’s not my foal, it’s our foal.” She wrapped her hoof around Rainbow at that.

Twilight looked up, flabbergasted. Rainbow blushed just as deeply as Twilight did. “You mean to tell me… I’m, legally, going to be a mother?” Rainbow asked.

“Happy day, no?” Luna replied with a smile.

“I have to have a foal with Rainbow?” Twilight asked. She didn’t hate the idea by any means, it was just… unexpected.

“At least one, yes.” Luna replied.

“What do you mean, at least one?” Twilight asked.

“It’s common for most herds, even those with only three members, to have quite a large family. Given, there’s normally at least one stallion in it, but we don’t really need to worry about that, do we?”

“How… how did this even happen?” Twilight asked.

“Princess Cadance didn’t tell you?” Luna asked, confused.

“I don’t think so… I asked her if she would get pregnant but she said it won’t be the case, not unless she was in heat while doing such a thing.” Twilight said, trying to remember everything.

“There are some exceptions to it. For example, if you overpower the spell.” Luna looked at the ground, blushing slightly. “Or if the emotions are really high.”

Despite the overwhelming numbness her mind was experiencing, Twilight found her hoof touching her stomach. She looked down as she saw it. She saw herself rubbing her new foals location…. their new foals location.

“Twi?” Rainbow asked. “You… you okay?”

Twilight smiled as she imagined it. The castle was big, really big. She could just imagine herself living here with it’s rooms packed full of foals. Of their foals. She could imagine some small Rainbow Dash’s, some small Luna’s and even some Twilight’s running around her legs.

“I… I think I will be,” Twilight said with a smile. “Umm, Rainbow. Would you mind moving in here with me? I think I’ll need some help from now on.”

Rainbow smiled, she knew this changed everything, she was now thrust into motherhood with the knowledge that at least one more foal would be on the way, possibly more.

Definitely more.

“Sure Twi,” Rainbow replied.

“So tis a happy day?” Luna asked again.

“Yeah, I think so,” Twilight replied. “Oh, Luna, the spell… would it cause any problems to the foal?”

“If it would it’s far too late to worry about it,” Luna laughed, the other two did not. She shook her head, “No, it doesn’t effect your uterus, you can use it up until you’re about to give birth.”

Twilight smiled a devious smile, “Good ‘cause I’ll be damned if I’m going through this by myself.”

Rainbow and Luna both gulped at that, but neither of them could say no.

Twilight let loose a small laugh. “Ohh, happy day,” she chimed as she powered the certain spell upon her, eying Luna and Rainbow huskily.

Both other mares cringed, Twilight had figured out exactly how Cadance cast the spell in these last two months. Needless to say, it created quite a mess.

A mess that most guards tried to avoid when accidentally getting caught by the screams of the mares.
