“All is lost”, Twilight Sparkle said to herself her face towards the ground. But who would have guessed that Discord would return and, with the help of Chrysalis and her army of changelings, Invade Ponyville? Now it was over, no Cadance or Shining Armor to use the power of love to just boom them out of here, and the elements didn’t work either. Celestia had been as useless as ever now laying on the ground breathing heavily, and her sister Princess Luna? “The new CoD” was the only thing she was talking about for the last five weeks. Twilight didn´t even know what a CoD was. “Twi do summing!’’ Applejack yelled while being beaten up by two changelings, who had changed themselves into copies of Apple Bloom. Applejack was right, there had to be a way to prevent Equestria from being turned into a loveless world of Chaos. “Maybe the library would have a spell to get rid of this disaster”, Twilight said to herself and ran off after screaming “Library” to the other five mares who just looked at her with anger, but Twilight didn´t care. As she arrived at the library which was, bless the divides, not harmed in any sort. She quickly began to search for a book that would help her. “AHA! Found it!” she screamed holding up a book entitled: “REALLY Powerful spells”. She flipped open the book. It listed off all sorts of spells: Spells against Parasprites, against larger creatures, spells against hydras, she began wondering why she never used this book during several other incidents around Ponyville. Hell there was even an anti-Molestia spell in here. But now was not the time to complain about lost pony virginities. “Ah here it is, one of the most powerful magic known to pony, the magic of METAL…I don´t get it.’’ What kind of magic was this, there was no description, no pictures, just a strange claw forming a sign the small and the index finger up in the air. Well this book was written by Starswirl the bearded´s younger cousin who was known for his…exceptional work, but he still was related to one of the greatest unicorns of all time so this couldn´t be that bad. When she returned to the battlefield the situation looked helpless. Rarity fell for Discord again and was now licking another rock while screaming “Oh Bob, you´re even sexier then Tom!”, she seemed very excited, in a way that you wouldn´t like your fillies to see. For the rest of the group they had to deal with a swarm of Fluttershy’s, Rainbow Dash´s and Applejack´s (the Pony not the cereal you hay heads). Nopony seemed to notice Twilight. She concentrated all magic into her horn, and tried to focus on the claw symbol she had seen in the book. The pressure dropped immediately, did it work? She checked the situation: Discord was still there, so were the changelings…but something was different, the grass felt softer under her forehooves, she checked and there were no longer hooves, she had claws. No not claws more paws, or…no they looked more like the things in the book. “What in Equestria?” she said just to realize that not only her fronthooves, but apparently also her voice had changed in the process of the spell, it was now deep and raspy. “What is going ooooooooooooooooooooooooon?” she growled. She took out the book and took another close look on the page; there it was at the bottom of the page in small letters: “Warning! Might transform you into a Metal god (guitar included)”. What was this supposed to mean, guitar included? She looked around, and yes there was a guitar hovering through the air, it had the form of her cutiemark. “Metal” was the only thing she was able to say, while standing up on her backhooves like it was the most natural thing in the world to reach for the guitar. As she touched it she felt a sensation like a thousand little birds were flying through her horn into her brain, little C´s and Accords of all octaves and tempos. It was an amazing thing she had last felt while using the elements of harmony for the first time, she understood the sign in the book. “The power of METAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!” she screamed hovering through the air. Everypony stopped fighting and looked at her flying through the air. Twilight grabbed a bird flying by and bit his head off. This wild feeling, it was new to her. But it felt great. “Ponyville, ARE YOU READY TO ROOOCK? “ Silence. “I asked, ARE YOU READY TO ROOOOOOOOOOCK?!” this time the scream broke a few windows and the sunglasses Discord was wearing. “Are you kidding me Twilight Sparkle?” Discord asked, “You think you can beat the two most powerful beings in the universe by playing your little Ukulele? Let me show you how I will crush your pitiful dreams of becoming the next Jimmy Hendrix”, he started growing till he was higher than even the town center. Twilight knew what to do; she started playing the guitar like she was Angus Young or Synyster Gates even if she had no bucking idea who these guys were…they sounded metal. Her Fingers worked the guitar like another mare’s body. She was in trance, the headstock of her guitar started to glow in the same tone of magenta that was normally the glow of her horn. But she hadn´t calculated how quick Discord would be, he grabbed Twilight “Metalgodess” Sparkle and swallowed her whole. “I´m not ready to die!” she screamed playing the most awesome guitar solo Equestria had ever heard, (The author wants to mention that the standards aren´t that high in Equestria, considering guitar solos, but even in our world that solo would have kicked major ass) the magenta glow enveloped her body and half way through Discord’s gullet she started going up again, like a piece of meat that you forgot to chew, Discord coughed her out and with a final slash on her guitar Twilight “Great balls of fire” Sparkle unleashed a bolt of lightning piercing Discords heart. He would never bother Equestria again, now probably playing chess with Lucifer in purgatory or something even more metal.
But she wasn’t done yet, there were still some bugs to be stomped. What she had seen so far didn´t amused the queen of Changelings. Discord, her new companion not just turned into stone, but killed by a single pony, that was harsh. “Changelings attack, let´s find out how much love she uses to utilize that power of hers”. This time Twilight “Deathbringer” Sparkle wasn´t facing just one opponent, she had no idea what to do, “Gods of metal help me.” A man dressed in a black trench coat, wearing round sunglasses appeared in front of her, “Use The Scream”, he said touching Twilight “The two horned” Sparkle’s forehead. Suddenly she knew what to do, she started screaming like only the most hardcore metal singers could, and the ground started shaking like the titans of metal themselves would make it move. Buildings crumbled like they were made out of sand and buried the Changelings under them. Twilight “The Dragon slayer” Sparkle stepped up to their queen who stood in the center devastated by what just happened to her minions. “Remember when you opened that portal to the caves under me? I was not amused; with the power of metal I will open you a portal and send you straight down the “Highway to Hell”. With a stomp of her guitar the ground under Chrysalis turned into magma and she slowly sunk screaming curses at Twilight “I´m running out of metal names” Sparkle who was playing her a last goodbye on her guitar. (The author wants to add that if this fiction should get any artists to look at it, he would love a depiction of this image)
A month later everything was back to normal. The houses were rebuilt; Discord’s body had been removed by Celestia who wanted to do some “research” in her “bedroom”. Twilight had her hooves and her normal voice back even though now she dresses up in darker colors than before. Fluttershy, who was traumatized by a decapitated bird falling on her head, is still visiting a doctor every day. Rarity married Bob and she´s is now pregnant, with twins. Rainbow Dash left her friends to “learn the way of the metal”. Applejack…well she´s boring as always…hitting Apple Bloom and stuff. Luna has achieved prestige 32. The ponies of Ponyville burned all books by Star beard the stoned, many treasures of his mixed up little brain were lost. And Ozzie, well after having a little conversation with a magenta pony which asked him about metal music, he decided to stop taking drugs and focusing on his music instead.
