//-------------------------------------------------------// Cheerilee's Classroom -by Trashy Fangirl- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Noi's Case //-------------------------------------------------------// Noi's Case My name is Noi, I'm an earth pony with a yellow coat, blond hair, and purple eyes. I go to Ponyville Elementary where all fillies and colts that live in Ponyville go. I have three best friends: Dinky Doo, Ruby Pinch, and Pina Colada.  We get along good. I trust them with all my heart. One of the differences I have with them all together is that I’m a blank flank. I like to read mystery novels for the fun of it. That is all you need to know of me. Thursday Morning, 8:00 am It was an average day at Ponyville Elementary; we were putting our saddle bags inside our cubbies when one of the most popular fillies in the grade walked inside the classroom. Her name was Half Note. Everypony turned to her. We do that every time a pony walks into the classroom. Half Note knew how to play the piano and her voice wasn't too bad either. She had a pink saddle on. She is a purple mare with a green mane and tail. She has matching eyes. She had something new onto her attire. It was a charm necklace. I have to admit it was very pretty at first glance. It seemed as if everypony else noticed it too because everypony was crowding around her. Zipporwhill flew in front of her first. “Wow Half Note, you look extra super-duper pretty today!” Zipporwhill said as she examined Half Note’s necklace. Half Note looked down at her necklace. Zipporwhill was also popular, not just in the grade but in the school. It’s mostly because she’s wealthy and also her being a social bee. She could even remind you of a real bee because of how her wings moved. “Thanks,” Half Note responded and smiled. Suddenly one of my best friends, Ruby Pinch ran up to her. She always had an attraction to clothing and jewelry. Her special talent was carving jewels. She looked at the bracelet closely and then frowned. “The charms are really flawed, at least you can guess the shape. Nevertheless, I like it." Ruby smiled. Half Note glared at her. I did too. I didn't see the charms as flawed. Well I was three feet away from her, so I can't really tell.  "I hope I used that word right, Dinky? Did I use 'Nethertheless' right?" Dinky rolled her eyes as she took out her notebook. She was the smartest pony in the grade and we usually ask her if we used a word right. "You were...close enough," Dinky said and she walked to her desk. Ruby Pinch nodded. Suddenly Aquamarine ran up to Half Note. She had a huge camera, the rubber holding it was wrapped around her neck. "Hey, Notey, let me take a picture!" she gushed. Half Note glared at her. "Um, ew. No, stalker much?' "No, it's for my gossip blog!" "Why would I want a bunch of random strangers who're so desperate for entertainment they're looking at twelve year old drama to see my stuff. And did I mention they're strangers? This is really precious to me!," I see her as a big fat annoyance. She's always digging her nose into everypony's business and and a day later, she's telling it to everypony else! I glared at her and glared at her really good. Half Note covered her necklace with her hoof but it didn't really help. A Aquamarine's camera was ridiculously bedazzled. It could blind a poor pony if it reflected on the light. I know I may sound rude but Aqua just wasn't a good person and nobody wanted buisness with her Then all of the fillies except for Dinky, Diamond Tiara, Ginger Snap, Scootaloo, Cotton Cloudy, and I were crowded around her. "Ooh, I like the charms..." Boysenberry reached out to touch it. Yet somepony named Diamond Tiara tapped her. Boysenberry turned around. "Move your rump out of my way," she had a glare in her eyes. It wasn't hard to see that Boysenberry was scared of Diamond Tiara. It only made sense. Boysenberry was shy and queer. Diamond Tiara was herself. Those two interacting was equalled to deep, deep, deep down world. "Um, okay," Boysenberry said and crept all the to the back of the crowd where Ginger Snap and Twist was. Diamond Tiara examined the necklace and all the fillies surrounding Half Note watched her do it. "Everypony's right, for once. This is really nice. Where did you buy it?" "Um, I didn't buy it. My grandma's a blacksmith and she made this for me," Half Note responded. Diamond Tiara raised her eyebrow and wrinkled her nose in disgust. She then smiled again. "Oh, can I have it?" Diamond Tiara asked. "Sorry you can't," Half Note said and waved her hoof. Diamond Tiara was baffled. "Why not?" "She made this for me not you, and I'm sure it's hard to make charms like these," Half Note responded and glanced at Ruby. She seemed to be a little annoyed. "Now if you excuse me, my best friend is here," She pointed to the other side of the room where we all looked over. I looked to the other side of the room to see the boys and their cubbies. They must of came in while I was eavesdropping on the necklace fuss. Ms. Cheerilee then came into the classroom. I widen my eyes. I forgot to get my books! So did the rest of the fillies. So that's what we did. Thursday, 2:45 pm Diamond Tiara has been asking for Half Note's necklace for hours. I just couldn't wait to go to my sister Carrot Top's house, not just my sister lives there but Dinky and her aunt Derpy lives there. We were back at our cubbies from P.E when I heard Half Note yelling: "My necklace is gone!" I turned around to the left to see Half Note looking through her saddle bag frantically.  I remember her taking it off because of GYM. She then put it in her saddle bag and put on her gym clothes. We just came back from the locker rooms. Half Note then started crying. Everypony walked up to her. Half Note didn't seem to care. She just dumped all of her stuff out of her saddle bag, inside were some books and notebooks, pencils, erasers, and a folder. Then she started searching through the pile. Rumble, her best friend, flew over to her. Ms. Cheerilee walked over to her while I walked a few steps closer. "And what a waste of time, I should know, I'll grow up to carve gems for a living!" Ruby said. We all rolled our eyes. I was pretty sure that was a grammar error or whatever Dinky calls them. I think she may of infected me. "What's wrong?" Ms. Cheerilee asked. Half Note kept on sniffing. I think Ms. Cheerilee just walked into the room. She was talking with Pipsqueak's dad and I guess she came in after Half Note's outburst. "Half Note lost her charm necklace. She's sad." Rumble responded. He always answered questions with short sentences. I always thought that was weird. "Oh dear, and it was so nice too," Cheerilee said and laid her hoof on Half Note's shoulder. Hald Note looked down and then looked at Diamond Tiara. She glared. "You stole it," she hissed. Ms. Cheerilee stopped the scene before anything got too nasty. "Alright now Half Note, don't jump to conclusions," "If she didn't steal it, if I didn't lose it, then what happened? Somepony here definitely stole it!" Half Note shouted. She could be that calm, cool girl or that outraging beast. Like Dinky would say, she was bipolar. Everypony started looking at each other including myself. "Look, I'll look for it, in the meantime everypony has to go home and you're complaing is distracting," Cheerilee said. She was a bit more stern this time. She wasn't dealing with this. Half Note begrudgingly picked up all her stuff and put them in her saddle bag, she closed it and walked out of the classroom. Then it came to me! Somepony had to of steal it, and it certainly wasn't me! I remember reading  "Annkia Magnify" books when I was two weeks younger and also when I was eight! Of course I had help with my sister Carry, cause reading wasn't my thing. She was so cool and I still think so now. The "Annkia Magnify" is a mystery novel series made to appeal to kids my age, although Annkia is like 13 years older then me. The chapters books had about fifteen chapters per book. Sometimes I even solve the cases before Annika does which makes me a qualified detective. And it's good to help friends even if you barely even speak to them. Back to the story, Cheerilee sighed in annoyance. I hoped I could get to Half Note before I lose her. "Class dismissed," Cheerilee groaned and that was it. Most of the boys started running outside while the girls were all grouped up in their small groups of best friends. That's the system. Aquamarine didn't have friends though, yet it doesn't matter since she has "internet" friends or whatever they're called. Anyways, I didn't have time to walk with Ruby, Pina, and Dinky, my best friends. I needed to catch up with Half Note! So I ran ahead. I knew where she lived and she probably didn't get that far. So I ran on the route to her house. "Half Note!" I yelled and I finally spotted her. She was muttering under her breath. I kept on running. Half Note turned around and I stopped once I got close enough. She looked really...ugly. I don't think she's ugly but she just looked ugly for that moment. I wasn't use to Half Note crying. Her eyes were baggy and she had snot running down her nose. "Look, I can help you," I said. I started panting. I didn't realize she ran that far. "What do you want?" Half Note asked. I could tell she had a huge lump in her throat. She could have yelled at me any minute if I accidentally pressed her buttons which is either sometimes easy or sometimes not very easy to do, bipolar filly I'm dealing with. I took a deep breath. "Look, I can help you find your necklace," I said. She stared at me then rolled her eyes. Hey, I may not as be as popular as her but she can't just roll her eyes at me! "Yeah right, and how are you going to do that?" Half Note asked. I smiled with a confident look on my face. "You know those Annika Magnify books?" I asked, I hope she remembered who Annika was. She was a very memorable character. Her books are so underrated for their true potential! "You mean those mystery books with that detective mare?" Half Note asked. Now how was I supposed to know who she was talking about? There are hundreds of mystery books with mare detectives. "Sure," I say going along with it. "I said well the Annika Magnify Series inspired me to help you with your problem and with the help on Annika Magnify and Scrappy Doo series I will figure out who stole your necklace," Half Note's left eye twitched. She glared at me. I suddenly didn't feel so proud. I think I saw the steam come out of her ears then suddenly she calmed down. "You know what, you want to find the bandit? Fine, you do that before Monday. I'll pay you two bits tops if you get me back my bracelet and find the bandit who took it on time, deal or I won't invite you to my next birthday party, so what do you say?" she asked. She held out her hoof. I was shocked. I'm actually doing this and I'm getting paid! Just like Annika Magnify! I nodded and took out my two hooves and shook her one hoof with them. "Deal!" I shouted. Half Note seemed to be disgusted with my attitude. I never understood her, one minute she's a tomboy and the other she's stuck up. I just never found myself to understand that. "To HQ!" I yelled and took off, which was one of Annika's catchphrases when she wanted to go to HQ with her team. Then I stopped. I realized something. Annika can't solve anything without her team, Scrappy Doo can't solve anything without his team! So I needed a team. I thought about it all the way until I reached Carrot Top's house. I opened the door. "Ding!" I said in unison with the chime of the bell that rang when you open the door. I always wondered why Carrot Top put that bell there. Carrot Top's place was small. It had a orange couch and a red carpet. There was a television ahead of it and a rusty wooden table behind the couch. My friend Dinky Doo was already on the couch  reading a purple textbook so I joined her. "Hi Dinky, what are you reading?" I asked. "I'm reading the study of Physics." Dinky replied, keeping her nose in the book. I didn't know what physics meant but I knew she didn't usually study them. She usually studied magic and literature. "Uh, what's Physics?" I asked. Dinky closed her book. "Are, Noi. And according to my book,... I have no idea why I just closed it because I was going to use it to explain it to you..." she opened her book again and flipped through the first few pages. "Okay, according to my-" I was already starting to get bored. "Hey Dinky!" I interrupted. "Dinky, remember when Half Note lost her necklace?" I asked. Dinky set a green bookmark on the page she was on and close the book. "I think Half Note's necklace is still lost. I think you're using 'remember' wrong. I think I know what you mean, I am aware Half Note lost her necklace," Dinky said. I only understood one sentence. "Do you want to help me find her necklace?" I asked. Dinky sighed. "Why are you concerned about Half Note's necklace?" she asked. I was about to speak but she asked another question, "Why do you want me to help?" "So I can be like Annika Magnify," I responded. She raised her eyebrow. "You mean that fictional character in those books you always read about her child's play solving mysteries  that constantly deal with robberies?" she asked. I nodded. She knew exactly who I was talking about. I didn't know about the robberies part, however.  "So you want to be like a detective or something?" she asked. "Only my cutie mark can decide what I want to be," I answered. Dinky stared at me for a few seconds, I stared back waiting for a response, it was akward for me. "So I'm assuming you want me to help you since I'm smart?" she finally asked. She caught on...not as quickly as I thought she would but she still did really quickly. "Yeah, and Half Note's paying me two bits! I'll give you half of the pay if you help," I explained some more. Dinky nodded as if she was paying attention. At least I know she didn't blank out this time. "Okay, I'll help but promise you'll pay me that bit, I need all the bits I can get for my aunts and mom for their birthday," Dinky answered. I smiled. "I promise," I promised. "Now, do you have detective equipment?" Dinky asked. I didn't have anything detective related but my books and a few posters. "Um...no?" "I think we need to buy some if we're going to do this," And so we did. .... Friday, 4:00 pm Half Note asked for her charm necklace. She was angry because I didn't even start looking for it... the truth is, I don't know where to start. So I did some research by rereading the very twelfth book 'Annika's First Case' and found out Annika started by searching the crime scene. At this time, I was searching through everypony's cubbies and always rechecked Half Note's. I also had to make logical conclusions. One I made was that all the boys are innocent, that rarely happens. The boys were all innocent because I knew they all have no interests in necklaces and barely any colt mentioned Half Note's necklace. I know Dinky's innocent too. She has no interest in jewelry even though Ruby keeps on making her jewelry. I have no clues whatsoever. So I let Dinky have a closer look. "You know what we're doing is time wasting?" she said in an annoyed tone. "What do you think we should be doing, DINKY?" I asked mockingly. Dinky rolled her eyes. "I think we should ask around to any possible suspects,"  Dinky suggested. That was a really good idea in my opinon. "So who do we start with?" I ask her. She stared at me. I stared back. An awkward silence fell upon us, "I wasn't paying attention to Half Note's manure, weren't you? You must've seen who had a slight interest," I thought for a while on her sentence  Didn't that make me a witness? "Doesn't that make me a witness?" Dinky rolled her eyes, "No, it doesn't. Answer the question, please," "Why not?" I asked, ignoring the question for I was confused. "You'd have to witness the crime scene itself, like you saw who stole her neclace," I don't know what I'd do without Dinky by my side. She's always there to correct me, I was now ready to answer the question, so I listed who I thought were to be the possible suspects and why. She wrote them down on a piece of from a notebook in her desk. Dinky thought some were unreasonable and some were reasonable, She decided however that "you never know" so we took all the suspects I listed. Suddenly, Ms. Cheerilee came inside the room from the left door of the classroom. "Girls, I know you're still concerned with Half Note's necklace but the district law states you can't be at school at this time," she firmly told us. "It's okay, Ms. Cherilee," Dinky responded. I nodded in agreement. So we left the room. Friday, 5:00 pm] We knocked on the door of the Rich's house. The door opened up to see her mother, Spoiled Rich. "Are you Diamond's friends?" she asked, as normal as it sounded, she said in a disgusted tone. "Yes, ma'am permission to play with her?" Dinky asked. Ms. Rich rolled her eyes. "Diamond, you're friends are here to play with you," A few minutes later, Ms. Rich have already left with a smaller version of her with white in her mane replacing her. "What do you two dweebs want?" she asked with spite and salt levels going off the charts in her tone. I was always welcomed to talk trash of her in my head but she's too powerful and intimidating to stand up to. "We want to addre- ask you questions addressing the Half Note thing," Dinky confidently said. "For the last time, I didn't do it!" Diamond grunted in annoyance. Her voice was a nightmare but orherwise she was gorgeous; thick flawless purple hair with a beautiful shade of blue for eyes, and the cleanest coat, she was basically a doll. "Where's the evidence you didn't?" I asked boldy. Diamond Tiara was rude, disrespectful, and selfish. She wanted Half Note's  necklace in the first place too. So it isn't silly to think she did it. "Where's your evidence I did?" Diamond spat. I was stumped. I didn't know what evidence meant exactly. "We just want to ask you some questions and once we get what we need, we'll leave you alone," said Dinky. Diamond Tiara raised her eyebrow. "First question," I began, "Where were you at the crime scene?" "What makes you think I'd talk to you and Dorky? She lives in a carrot farm for Celestia's sake," she rolled her eyes. "Obviously,  because you're in deep waters, Rich, everypony thinks you did it, and you need to be in the clear from getting in trouble with Ms. Rich?" Dinky replied smugly. Diamond Tiara widen her eyes. She groaned as she rolled her eyes and then took a deep sigh. "Fine, follow me," she muttered. Friday, 5:20 pm We were at Diamond's backyard. It had a whole playground, a huge sandbox, and a patio for tea parties with nets to keep out the mosquitos.  The patio was my aesthetic. Diamond, Dinky, and I were sitting together at the table for tea. She was sitting across from us, giving a cold but stunning glare.  I could feel my heart racing as I got lost into the deep pool of her eyes. Dinky tapped me on the shoulder giving me a crash landing back to reality. "Um, since you're into this, how about you ask the questions?" Dinky suggested. She gave me a shrug. Dinky knew  me too well and I gave her an eager smile. "Well, Diamond..., where were you at the scene of the crime?" Diamond Tiara looked at me with intensity, I think. "At my cubby, getting my things, " she answered,  I noticed  she gave a slide glance as she did "What was that? " I ask. I lean closer to her, staring at her intensely. She leaned back, and looked away fully. "What was what?" "Feeling a tad...nervous?" I whispered...intensely.  I stood up on the chair.  The whole scene was intense and I felt like we were gonna kiss any minute. But of course I decided to focus on the crime. "Could you not do that to my chairs?" she addressed. Her dialogue that didn't fit my fantasy got me back. "Sorry, DT," I said awkwardly and went to sit back down. I needed to get my head back in the game. "Mhm... uh, did you get frustrated that Halfy wouldn't give in to your twisted mind games?" "At first, but then I realized it was a hump of trash, that friend of yours, Pinky or maybe Runny was right, and it was overhyped," "Mhm, listening, Dinks, are you taking this?" I asked. I turned my head to her to see she's taken out a spiral notepad and was using levitation to lift up a orange feather with blue ink. "Yeah, we're good," she replied. "So I stopped hours before she found out it was missing? And it's not like I was the only one asking for it!"  Diamond ranted. "How do I know you stopped asking her because there was no need to for you straight up stoled her necalace?" I asked. Diamond rolled her eyes. "Alright, let's wrap this up, I can sense your dweeb germs contaminating my air," Diamond insulted. The insult came at me like I was turning around to talk to my friend and she just shot me the second I did. "At least let us do a room check?" I asked, looking towards Dinky who nodded in agreement. Diamond rolled her eyes for like the fiftieth time. "Whatever gets you to leave faster," Don't think I didn't notice how she immidately avoided the question. That filly was hiding something, sure I doubt she did the actual robbery but I felt she was involved in some form. So she took us a long walk to her room, it was huge, pink, and expensive, enough said. I was in total awe, Dinky, wasn't impressed. "Help yourself," she muttered
