Decades ago, during the age of magic and The Alicorn, A powerful unicorn named Starswirled Abeared took on five students. This is the tale of one of these students and how he battles the constraints of mortality.
A young colt by the name of Mayln Gemstone was born in the newly founded Crystal Empire. His father and mother were both unicorns, so of course he was a natural born unicorn. As seen from a young age, he was gifted with magic. From this he was taken as an apprentice by Starswirled Abeared. These are his adventures against mortality and his goals for power.
