//-------------------------------------------------------// Vinyl Scratch test drives a Ford Raptor -by CoffeeInTheMornin- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// A little bit to far //-------------------------------------------------------// A little bit to far "Come on Tavi!" Vinyl Scratch said annoyingly. "All I want to do is test drive it!" Vinyl said slamming her hooves on to the kitchen table. "No Vinyl. No means no." Octavia said not budging a bit. "But it's a 6.2 liter powerhouse of awesomeness! I cant miss it!" Octavia sighed. "Vinyl, i can't believe I'm saying this, but, we will go tomorrow morning." Vinyl squeezed Octavia in a bear hug. "I knew you'd come through! You always do!" Octavia murmured, "I shouldn't more often." *** It was by far the clearest morning in ManeHattan, the crisp air poured through the apartment window, awaking Vinyl from her deep slumber. Vinyl yawned, and looked at Octavia, making sure she was asleep before she lightly stepped out into the hallway of the building, lightly closing the door behind her. "Aw yeah," Vinyl whispered to her self. "Today's my lucky day." She smirked, and caught the morning bus to the dealership. Vinyl stepped off the bus, and walked toward the Parking lot filled with different types of trucks, and cars that were getting their early morning wash. 'Just a couple minutes till' i get my hoof on one of those Raptors' She thought, smirking once again, quickening her pace. Octavia woke up, and stretched her legs. "Morning Vinyl." There was no reply. "Vinyl?" She looked over, to see that she was gone. "Vinyl!" She yelled angrily, getting up from the bed as fast as she could. She didn't bother doing her hair, or putting on her bow tie, she simply stormed out of the apartment and waited impatiently for the bus to arrive. 'I can still catch her' Octavia thought, looking over to find another pony sitting on the bench. "Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed." The old mare said in a gravely tone. Octavia rolled her eyes, and looked to see the bus had arrived. Octavia got off the bus, and ran quickly to the front desk of the dealership. "Is any-pony named Vinyl here?" She asked quickly, biting her lip. "Outside dear, in the parking lot." The old mare said, pointing to the seemingly endless rows of cars. "Thank you." Octavia busted out the glass doors, and gained a lot of attention doing so. Octavia trotted quickly up and down the rows of trucks, until she spotted a black truck with the door opened. She ran towards it, and saw a employee talking to the DJ. "It also has a V6 motor in it, it should be plenty of pow-" The employee was interrupted by Octavia. "Don't give her the keys!" She said pleading the employee. "It's store policy ma'm, I'm required to give her the keys." Octavia looked at Vinyl, who was swinging the key ring on her hoof. "You, my friend, are too late." Vinyl said smirking, plugging the keys into the ignition. The truck started up with a roar. "Vinyl!" Octavia yelled jumping into the cab, trying to stop her. Vinyl stepped on the throttle, causing the truck to peel out and leave a cloud of smoke. The force of the truck going forward both set Octavia pinned to the seat sideways, and closed the door behind her. "Vinyl stop this!" Octavia's yell was unheard because of the immense roaring of the engine. "This is almost as cool as dubstep!" Vinyl yelled in glee. "I rate ten wubs out of ten!" Vinyl sounded like she had just had her first Christmas, a little kid yelling in happiness. The truck drifted out of the parking lot, almost hitting a hot dog stand with the bed. The truck, which was now going 60 down the traffic clogged road, was dodging cars like bullets. Loud honks of anger could be heard as the truck roared down the main route of Manehattan, leaving rubber marks behind it. Vinyl jerked the wheel right, drifting it into an empty lot at full speed. There was a construction site across the abandoned lot, with a wood ramp being put into an alley way. Vinyl's eyes concentrated on the ramp, as the construction ponies fled out of the way in terror. The truck lurched upward, taking flight. "Heeeeeelllllll yyyyyyeeeeeeaaaahhhhh!" Vinyl yelled in delight, as the truck came downwards, and hit the pavement. Octavia was gripping the handle for dear life, trying not to puke. The truck slid out of the alleyway sideways, back onto main street. Vinyl hit the radio dial, tuning the station to her own dubstep hits, and turned it up all the way. "Vinyl! This has got out of hand!" The grey mare tried to yell over the music, still clutching onto the handle. Vinyl had been enjoying the thrill of high speeds, and drifting around corners this whole time. However, Octavia thought about punishing Vinyl after she got off this carnival ride. Oh, it wasn't gonna be pretty after Octavia was done with her, oh no. Vinyl had hit an another ramp like structure, when her glasses floated slowly away from her face, like they were in space. The glasses jerked down at the pressure of re-grounding, and the shattered against the dash board, exposing her magenta eyes. She was speechless, and let the truck roll down the street. Octavia looked at her, she was staring at the pieces of purple glass. "Va, Va Vinyl." Octavia stammered. "Your, your glasses." There was a long silence. "That, was, awesome!" Octavia groaned. "Can we drive back like civilized people?" Octavia sighed. "Hhhhmmmmnnnn, let me think about it. Nope!" Vinyl punched it into drive, once again peeling out back towards the dealer. 'Oh dear, here we go again' Octavia thought regretting even trying to stop her. After going back the same death deifying route, the same jumps, the same drifting turns, Octavia was sure she was going to hurl, until the dealership was in sight. Octavia thanked Celestia that this would all be over. The truck drifted one last time into parking lot, coming to a halt. Vinyl rolled the windows down, only to see the line of angry employees. Vinyl scratched the back of her head. "A little bit to far?"
