The Six Ponies

Previous Chapter

Sunny Rays creaked her eyes open as sunlight poured through her open curtains into her bedroom. This really was the best way to wake up in the mornings. She rolled out of bed and made her way over to her dressing table. A deep purple aura surrounded her hairbrush as she used her magic to levitate the object and brush the tangles from her mane. Once she was content that her hair looked it's natural wavy self, she placed down her hairbrush and lifted her favourite perfume, lavender, and sprayed a dab on herself. She trotted to the door of her room, pausing to place one of her many daisy chains she always wore atop her head, satisfied with her appearance, she walked from her room and down the stairs, she walked to the kitchen to quickly whip up some food, she felt like pancakes that morning, so she cooked up some blueberry pancakes and sat down to eat them.

Once the last of the pancakes had been finished, Sunny trotted outside her house to the garden behind it to tend to her flowers, the shop didn't open till later that day so she had a bit of time to do some gardening before she got to work.

Pencil Sketch was out of bed early that morning, she had barely slept as she wanted to finish the piece she was working on. It was a majestic drawing of Princess Mi Amore Cadenza and Prince Shining Armour with their daughter, Princess Skylar, in honour of the younger princess's sad passing of a week ago. She only realised the time as the room was slowly bathed with light as the sun was shining. Sketch had been working hard on this, so hard that her mane colour was barely recognisable through the rainbow of paint.

Sketch decided that she would take a walk to clear her mind a bit and maybe do a bit of shopping, however she wasn't going to go out like this. She hadn't even had breakfast, though she might pick something out on the way. She hurried over to her bath room to wash out her hair, having to use several dollops of shampoo to return her mane to it's natural, sapphire blue colour. Once she'd dried it, she tied it in a bun so it was out of the way, using her old paintbrushes and pencil's to do so. With her appearance in check, the white earth pony stepped out of the door of her house to greet the day ahead of her.
