Twilight was silently reading in the library of the crystal castle, her wings tucked along her back. She was looking down at the book on the table but wasn't really reading as such, she was thinking about the Golden Oak Library. While her friends had fixed up the castle so that it felt like home to her, she still couldn't stop thinking about her former home, and it was really good when her young daughter, a filly who she hadn't had longer then two years adored the library just as much as she did. A grown mare could, probably, handle to lose but a small filly, even younger then the CMC couldn't possible endure that.

Twilight until to think about it, a couple of tears leaked from her eyes and dripped onto the book laid beneath her. Her thoughts were clouded by that one thought until suddenly, a crash was heard followed by the sound of cracking crystal and then followed by a loud scream of the word 'MOMMY!'

Meanwhile upstairs, little Nyx Sparkle slept quietly in her bed of purple and black stars. Her black coat almost blended with the black pillows beneath her head as her beautiful yet messy royal purple mane fell onto the purple quilt and mixed in. On her bedside desk was her purple vest and green and teal headband that was left there ready to put on when the small alicorn woke up the next morning to go to Ponyville Elementary.

The sound of banging and cracking crystal rang through the castle and awoke Nyx up from her sleep. The filly crept downstairs and saw a pale blue coated mare with cold purple-pink angry eyes and a menacing and terrifying frown her face. Nyx freaked at the look of the mare, collapsed to the ground and screamed for her mommy. Twilight came running into the hallway to see the black alicorn filly crouched down, tears in her eyes.

''What's wrong, Nyx?'' asked Twilight, calmly, having not seen the mare yet.

Nyx opened her mouth to say something but no words rippled out, she just pointed a shakily hoof at the mare, who looked even more angry because she had been ignored. Twilight looked at the mare, analyzed her quickly and recognized her very quickly. ''Trixie? What are you doing here?''

''I demand a rematch! Wait, what is this anyway?'' asked Trixie, noticing Twilight's wings and the little cowering filly. ''Since when did you have a filly and a set of wings! The Great and Powerful Trixie demands to know the answer! Answer me, Twilight Sparkle!''

Twilight frowned for a moment, before sighing. ''Trixie, this little filly is my adoptive daughter Nyx. Remember that incident with Nightmare Moon about a year and a half ago. Nyx is... well she was Nightmare Moon during that incident.'' Twilight paused to take in Trixie's expression of shock, before continuing onto explaining her wings. ''And as for my wings, shortly after your rematch with me, I descended to princesshood because I had solved a very important friendship problem. Now I'm the princess of friendship and Nyx is to be my successor with her friends when she grows up.''

Trixie was shocked at what she had just heard but shook her head and her horn began glowing, surprising Twilight because she didn't appear to be levitating anything, until a strange figurine appear from under the mare's starry cape. The figurine looked like a foal with a star appear it's head, there was also two words on the star but Twilight couldn't tell what it said. Trixie grinned. ''It was about time I got rid of you, with this artifact, I can do just that. I can change you and your precious daughter and remove everypony's memories of the pair of you from existence and then I shall take your place!''

Twilight was about to say something when zap! A blue aura wrapped around her,  strangling her. She was closing her eyes when she saw the same light surrounding her daughter, she reached out and grabbed Nyx's hoof and lit up her horn, teleporting the pair of them but the ancient magical affect stay working and so the teleport wasn't very accurate.

Trixie smiled as smock filled the air, she waited for a moment and as soon as the smog was gone, she looked and was shocked when she saw that nopony was there. It took her a few moments to figure out what Twilight had gone. ''Tch, she teleported. Oh well, the affects will still happened. Now for that memory and replacement spell.''

Trixie's horn began glowing brightly, a pair of wings formed on her back to emulate Twilight's princesshood. Her cutie mark swapped to Twilight's so her talent changed form show preforming to magic in a simple moment. With her destiny alter and Equestria's memories changed, Trixie was prepared. But she still needed to get rid of the two problems to her plans. Until they were gone, her plan couldn't be in full fruition but then again, considering what she had done to them, it might not be a problem after all.

In fact, her plan was working fine without from the appearance of it. Trixie even grinned when she saw little baby dragon Spike run up to her yelling ''Trixie! Trixie! What was the bang and scream that I just heard a couple of moments ago? Are you hurt in any way!?''

''No, I'm perfectly fine, Spike. You need not work yourself up about my health.''

Meanwhile, in the city of cantorlot, in a small, rain soaked alleyway. Three sets of eyes opened, one red, one blue and one turquoise with very light turquoise highlights. A trio of cries rippled along the walls of the alleyway but didn't reach the ears of any ponies that walked the streets until a single pony walked by the alleyway and crept inside and looked into the box where the trio of ears laid.
