"Sweetie Belle, what did you do?!" Scootaloo shouted. All around them, darkness spread throughout Ponyville. Lights turned off and even the bright red buttons on the grass dimmed.

"I may have just pushed one..." Sweetie Belle replied, eying the last glowing button remaining. Now, neither Scootaloo, nor Sweetie belle, could see each other. The stars, the moon, and the button were the only light sources, and the two fillies couldn't see a thing.

"M-maybe it's just a power outage." Scootaloo shivered. "The lights will come back on."

When the lights did come back, instead of the light coming from houses and shops, it came from lightning bugs and the moon reflecting off a pond. Not only that, they were in a new terrain. They were no longer comforted by the feeling of home, but haunted by the darkness and loneliness of the forest.

Crickets chirped. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle stood in silence a second, unsure of what to do. Sweetie Belle finally spoke up.

"Where...are we?" she looked around, taking in her surroundings as best she could in the dark. She jumped as glowing eyes blinked back at her from the outline of bushes.

"More importantly, how do we get back?" Scoots whispered back. A howl came from somewhere close. She spun around. "Was that what I thought it was?" The sound came again, then a flash of fur.

"AHHHHHHH!!!!" They ran in the opposite direction of the noise, looking for a hiding place. All they could see were trees and bushes, which slapped them in the face as they passed by.

When they were just about to lose hope, a small shed came into view. They immediately made a beeline for the door, flung it open, scampered through the door, and shut it. Sweetie used the small amount of magic she had to create a strong lock. As she backed away from the door, it banged when something slammed against it.

The creature finally gave up and a wolf passed by the window, glaring and snarling as it disappeared back into the darkness of the forest.

"Uh, maybe we should stay here for the rest of the night..." Sweetie suggested, still staring at the window with wide eyes.
