Shining Gold touched the mare in front of him, forgetting she was a shadow pony, and fell. The mare who was a shadow pony, was named Whisp. Her mane was waving like Celestia's, but Whisp's was black and translucent.

"What are ya doin'?" Applejack was running to see what was doing on.

Shining Gold told Whisp to go away. Whisp looked sad, and silently obeyed. She slowly left, saying that she blames her father, the king. Shining Gold started to reply that he blamed Applejack, but she was gone.

"Patrolling the outsides of camp. No shadows yet, Applejack. Oh, and by the way, bring me my meat and corn?"

"Alright, Sugarcube. I like a nice, independent stallion like you. After all, you've been raised by a posh lady. I'll be back, alright?"

"Bye AJ!" Shining Gold said.

A shot rang out. The cannons all fired at the same time. Shadows scrambled, Colors rejoiced.

"Fire until you hit that rather colorless pony." King Shadow commanded.

A few shots were fired.

"Ahhhhh!" For the actual first time, Maud had expression within her voice.

"Man errrr..... Pony down!" Rarity yelled from her spot near near Maud's.

Every-pony ran over. Pinkie was in tears. Rarity was laying on a random couch sobbing. Rainbow Dash did a Sonic Rainboom. Applejack was giving her a proper farewell. Shining Gold was helping in the proper farewell. Twilight made a coffin appear and lined it with rare rocks. Fluttershy's gift was Maud's favorite flowers. Whisp then appeared in front of Applejack.

"I am sorry my father did this. I didn't want to do this. I didn't even sho......." Whisp was interrupted by Rainbow Dash.

"Listen here. You did this. You ordered for Maud to die. Get the Fuck out of here! Nobody likes you!" Rainbow yelled.

Whisp looked at Shining sadly. He gave her a, I don't want this but this will protect our beautiful relationship look. Whisp gave him a, I wish this war never happened look. Shining gave her a, Me too look.

"I wanted to give a farewell to your fallen solider. Pinkie, I'm sorry. Rainbow Dash, I like your flying. Twilight, I like your ideas. Rarity, I like your mane. Fluttershy, I like your personality. Sunset, Your cutie mark looks great. Applejack, I like your hard work." Whisp looked at each one, then spread her wings and flew away.

"She's tryin' at us. She's gonna befriend us and then cheat us! Shadows can't be trusted." Applejack had eyes of fire when she spoke.

"I think she was being sincere. Not All shadows are bad." Shining Gold was quiet when he said that.

"WHAT DO YOU KNOW, PRIVATE GOLD?" Applejack yelled.

"Let's hit the hay. Rainbow, it's your watch day." Fluttershy wanted no pony to fight.

That night, a shot rang and hit someone.
