Locked up, in an apocalypse?

Previous Chapter

Twilight awoke, in a dark room. Light was seeping through many holes and provided some light for vision. She had no memories of the past week. Or maybe even the past month. She had no idea what the hell she was doing here.

She got up off the cold floor and looked around. She knows this room. It was the basement right? She was sure it was the basement. But it looked all beaten up, stuff was all over the floor and glass was broken. She was lucky that she wasn’t really that damaged, but what the hell was going on?

She groaned as she stood up, it hurt a little bit, but she should be able to deal with it. She didn’t know how long she was down here and how long her legs were inactive. She tried activating her magic. For some reason, she could only pull herself to do a simple levitation spell, and the range was low.

“Ah, what is up with my magic?” she said annoyed as she walked over to the staircase. She ascended the staircase slowly and made it to the door. She turned the knob and attempted to open the door. Nope, no budge. She pushed harder, and it still didn’t move. She pushed even harder, hurting herself but she got the door to move a bit.

She groaned and rubbed her sore limb, but waved it off. She peered through the gap. There was a lot of rubble blocking the way. A lot that if she opened the door any more, it would make no difference. She sighed as she went back down.

“I don’t think calling for help will do much. I doubt anypony would respond,” She said as she sat down and pulled up a book. “Might as well see how long until death.”

She read the book for a while before getting hungry. She looked around and found a can of beans on the ground. She opened it and swallowed the lot. It didn’t taste very good, but it was good enough. She was getting drowsy. Her death would probably come in a few days, and the time she spent inactive, would make it more pleasurable.

Twilight had survived down there for Two days now. She had just awoken up, and was feeling a bit hungry. She used up the last can, and sat down. She remembered when Spike would ask why there were beans in the basement. She would reply with the fact that there wasn’t space upstairs.

“Todays the day Twilight. You’re finally dying!” She said to herself. “You won the lottery and your prize is closer death. Todays the day it would be redeemed!”

She laughed for a bit before feeling something crumble. She turned to see a part that was not covered and dirt was visible. There was light seeping through the dirt, but a higher concentration of light.

She went over and poked at the dirt. The dirt crumbled away and more light seeped through.

“Call the lottery, I’m giving my prize back!” She said as she began digging away at the exposed wall. She climbed through the gap with a large expression on her face.

“Freedom. In your face lottery!” she quietly cried out as she pointed at Rainbow dash. Wait? What?

“Twilight. You look stupid,” Rainbow Dash replied, before bursting into laughter. “We just barricaded your door and locked you down there. What’d you think was happening?”

Twilight was furious. ”I could’ve died down there! I thought there was an apocalypse or something!”

“Would we really leave you alone?”

Twilight sighed before realising. “Yes, I do look stupid.”

Moral of the story. You should totally do this to your friends. Oh and Twilight looks stupid after coming out.
