Chapter 2: Training Part 1
LE_MALEM's Fanfictions Presents A My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic/Team Fortress 2 Crossover Author's Notes: First of all, I thank whoever who supported or will support this fanfiction and follow it to the very end and I apologize for being late because I really had a few things to do. Without further adeu, here is chapter 2. Oh yeah! I do not own MLP or TF2! Chapter 2: Training Part 1
Sweet Apple Acres
"I said I'll let you go, that doesn't mean y'ar my sister anymore"
Those were Applejack's last words before she left the castle, beaten mentally and thinking what will that brutish creature will reserve for Applebloom. She was tearing under the biggest tree of her farm, regretting what she said to her sister. It is true that Applebloom is big enough to make her own decisions but still she wanted to protect her. She wanted her to earn her Cutie Mark like every other member of the Apple family; guess it wasn't her destiny after all.
"I'll apologize to her when she returns. I must grow stronger mahself to prepare for the upcoming war." thought Applejack. Big Macintosh saw the whole thing - Of course after the outburst his sister made he couldn't just stand there - and approached her, hugged her and said:
"No worries, dear Sister, I betcha Applebloom will become a sweet and strong mare by the time being." said Big Mac
"Ah know, Big Mac, I guess I was scared fer nothin' after all." replied Applejack
On the jet
"WOW! This is so cool, Mr. Saxxy, I wish I could fly like this thing here!" said Scootaloo, fluttering her wings.
Hale noticed the wings, then the scooter and was thinking.
"Ummmmmmm, Mr. Saxxy? Hello?"
"Ah! Sorry, my little filly! I was just lost in thought! Oh yeah! This thing we're flying with is called a jet. It can fly so fast that it can destroy everything on its way with only pressure!"
"This is so cool! It's like a big, really big version of Rainbow Dash! My dream is to be the next best flier in all of Equestria! And nothing can stand in my way!" said Scootaloo, solemnly
"Yeah that's a nice dream you have there... a nice dream indeed!" said Hale "I don't know what to say to her for now, perhaps I should ask his opinion! And then he picked up the transrecevier (sp?), dialed some numbers and waited.
"Hello?" a voice spoke in a strange language (This is German so he speaks normal English here)
The fillies were startled and jumped when the voice came from the other side.
"Oh don't worry! This machine let us talk to people who are so far away and only those who possess it can answer to your calls!" the CMC nodded after the short explaination and then returned to his business "Hello, Medic? Could you please call everyone to a meeting? This is a matter of an extreme emergency! We have new recruits here!
"New recruits? But we hadn't recruits for years! Are you going to fire some of us or something?" asked the Medic
"Oh bloody hell no! You're my best unit for God's sake! I can't fire any of you! All you have to do is train them in the art of combat so that they'll defend themselves in case of war!"
"Oh! Most interesting! In that case I'll be happy to call everyone in time! When I heard about you rushing to the jet, I knew something is about to happen! Very well! Until later! and he hung up.
"That was very cool, Mr. Hale! I really wish I could speak other languages so smoothly!" said Sweetie Belle
"Agh! Don' remind me! Sweetie Belle! Last time with that Cutie Pox curse thingie! I was able to speak in Fancy for a while, it was horrible!" said Applebloom, not as enthusiastically as ever!
"Don't worry, my dear fillies, we have everything prepared for you there! It's going to be a long year I tell ya!" said Hale
And the jet continued its course to the Mann. Co. Industry.
Mann. Co. Industry, Australia, Nightime
The jet landed on the top of the all lightened up building. The filles stared in amazement on how tall and big the building was. Their amazement couldn't be expressed by words. Hale was leading the way, taking the stairs, moving from hall to hall while having all personnel looking at those small little ponies. They simply couldn't quit looking at them without having comments.
Finally, they have arrived in a big room. The smell of medecine and blood was reeking and the CMC's noses were sensitive to know what it is. In the room stood nine guys wearing black and white.
The first was a short guy with a yellow hardhat and googles. He was carrying some blue paper with white lines traced on it. He had a rubber glove on his right hand. He carried a tool-box and a wrench with him, strapped on his belt.
The next was a very muscular guy, he was bald and was eating a sandwich. He was making the most noise of all people with only his eating manners. He had a belt of some sort of metallic things strapped around his body.
The next was a strangely dressed man with helmet covering his eyes and the shade from it showing a five o'clock shadow. He had what appeared to be military clothing on, with a belt around his chest that had two orange rock things on them. He also wore boots and pants, another belt with a pouch around his waist.
The next one next to him was slightly the same height as the helmet head. He had a leather fedora on his head, covering his gold-lensed eye glasses. He had a light brown vest with pockets covering a black collared shirt with a white undershirt. On his left arm were a fingerless glove and a watch. He also had a belt with a pouch, holding up comfortable looking brown pants. Below that were thin pointed brown boots.
Beside him was a strange one at that. He was a dark skinned man with a black beanie and an eye patch, with a thin beard on his face. That was not the weird part. He wore an incredibly thick black vest, with six weird looking tubes on them. Underneath that was what appeared to be a black rubber, baggy jumpsuit of some sort. He wore the same boots as the first two, and a pouch was pinned on his pants.
A few feet away from him was a kid who was around eighteen. He wore a black baseball cap with a headset covering it. He had no facial hair, and was wearing some weird necklace around his neck with two silver tags. He wore a simple black plain t-shirt, with some sort of thin bag on his bag, the strap going over his torso. His pants were baggy and brown, going to his knees before being covered by long white socks. On his feet were black and white cleats.
The last two were surprising. Next to the kid was an old looking man, with small strands of grey hair going through his hair. He had a small pair of glasses on his face, showing a sense of knowledge. He wore what appeared to be a white button up shirt with a black tie, but it was barely acknowledgeable since it was covered in a white lab coat. His hands were covered by entirely black rubber gloves. A black belt surrounded the lab coat and pants.. His boots however were like the fedora man's, thin and pointed, but these ones were black.
The following person, if you even call it a person, they couldn't even recognize. His or her face couldn't be seen, since it was covered by a black rubber mask with a breathing tube to the left of it. Two plastic eye holes were on it, with a respirator in the front. The rest of his outfit was a giant rubber black suit, with near the legs starting to shade black from something. Black boots like the other were on his feet, the ankle parts completely black. The most noticeable thing on him was the weird canister on his back, being held by straps on his torso, which also had another strap with three strange containers on it.
The last one was a fairly tall man. He wore a black ski mask, covering his face except for his eyes and mouth, which held a lit cigarette. The rest of his attire consisted of a blue pinstriped suit, with a white button shirt underneath with a black tie. He wore black gloves on his hands, and black dance shoes on his feet. He was twirling and playing with his butterfly knife.
The fillies were afraid by the imposition of these nine figues. Each and everyone of them have a commanding aura around them. The man with the lab coat approached Saxton Hale and saluted him.
"Velcome back, Mr. Hale, I vish your trip was excellent!" then he was gripped by Hale by the head, whispering something to him. The man's looked at Scootaloo in an utmost seriousness and just nodded his head.
"So boss, who're the new recruits you've been speaking about to the Doc?" said the kid-looking one.
"Those little ponies you're seeing right now are your new recruits and they're all under your capable hands!" said Hale after regaining his composture.
"PONIES!?" All of them, except the Medic and Engineer, said "But, sir" the helmeted one spoke "with all due respect how will we train horses!"
"I ain't no horse, ya big fruitloop, I am a very proud pony of Equestria and I'll buck each and everyone of you who says the opposite!" said Scootaloo.
The kid looking guy was amazed. Pretty much spirited for something so tiny, but Equestria sure did ring a bell to those nine fellows.
"Oh! So you're from that land with the prancin' show ponies and beautiful colors? Oh poikah! I sure have forgotten about it for an instant! Nice meeting ya, mates, or should I say, fillies. I'm Snoipah." The gold-lensed glasses man said pointing to himself.
"Ah sure have seen everything when I saw that land fer the first time! The name is Engineer, you can call me Engie!" said the hardhat man, who made Applebloom have her head down and all sad. He went to comfort her but she hided behind Hale's leg. Hale whispered something to the Engineer who had quite a shock after he realized that he reminded her of her sister.
"You are the smallest horses..." he was interrupted by two hooves in his helmet, Scootaloo's to be exact. The helmet was ringing a lot onto his head (Soldier is my most hated class in TF2. He deserved it!) before he regained his composture "I'm Soldier by the way! We have been on the wrong foot or should I say hoof! Excuse my language really I didn't know!"
The kid laughted is ass off litterally at the Soldier then said "I like ya, little fella, maybe we could be good you and I! I'm Scout by the way! Fastest human you could find around the block!" and on that last sentence, Scootaloo had her eyes on him all along.
Sweetie Belle was looking at everyone so intensly interacting with each other when the ski-masked man showed up.
"Oh! Bonsoir, my little pony, allow me to give zis beautiful flower to a little cute creature such as yourself!" he said eloquently.
Sweetie Belle took her time to answer this, but her answer surprised every single person here.
"Mais vous êtes très flatteur mon cher monsieur!" said Sweetie Belle in perfect French and took the flower from him.
"WHAT?! How and when did you learn to speak in FANCY?" it was from Applebloom whose outburst scared everyone in the room.
"Oh nothing really! I know just a few words in Fancy from my sister! She knows the language very well when she speaks with people from Fence!" (The equivalent country of France is Fence and that's final) answered Sweetie Belle.
"Ahem!" said the masked man, gathering her attention "Where are my manners? My name is Spy! Enchanté!"
"De même, Monsieur Spy..." and they both trailed off the room, speaking sometimes in English, sometimes in French.
"Leetle ponies are funny to me! Name is Heavy! AHAHAHAAHA and this is my friend Sandvich! We kill baby men fast!" the muscular guy said
"Aye, these bunch of wee-fillies are going to be a good workout! Me name is Demoman!" said the eye-patched man, taking a swig from his bottle of liquor.
"MMMPHHH! MMMHPMPHPYRPHHHH!" said the rubber masked person.
Then the tall lab coated man approached Scootaloo and examined her carefully by looking at her.
"Hey Scoots, you have to go with the Doctor little filly!" said Hale with a stern look.
Scootaloo was to afraid and did nothing but comply with Saxton Hale. She followed the Medic inside the emergency room.
After the examination, he came with Scootaloo outside.
"I zink she deserves to be told ze truth about her condition! You were correct on your assesement, Herr Hale" said Medic, not joking around.
"Condition? What condition?" asked Scootaloo.
"I hate to be the bearer of bad new, young filly, but unfortunately it's impossible for you to... fly !"
The revelation struck her like a thunderstorm! Scootaloo was totally broken down, balbutiating and muttering stuff like:
"No...no no no... this can't be true... I am going to be a good flier in the future... Tell me that's not true! TELL ME THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE!" she trotted away outside, crying fountains.
"What the hell was that crap, Doc? Can't your magical medigun re-grow stuff?" asked Scout, angrily
"I'm afraid zat even miracles couldn't cure her condition! It is a rare case zat I haven't laid my eyes in a good time." answered Medic, seriously.
"Oh for the love of God! Medic you're so heartless sometimes!" and then Scout ran in Scootaloo's direction.
End of Part 1 Chapter 2 I am really sorry guys I really had to prepare for my diploma! I was occupied to my neck with work! But I hope you enjoyed the chapter and the cliffhanger! Sorry for this chapter being shorter than usual!

Chapter 3: Training Part 2
With Scout and Scootaloo
The Scout was furious and angry of what Medic said about Scootaloo's predicament. He somehow knew that a wingless pegasus would be its end. However, he couldn't explain the impulsive running, or in other words, why he wants to go after her. Was it the fact that they have something in common, something they fight for? Or was it just simply to cheer her up? Anyways, he went towards Scootaloo's direction and caught her with sheer speed.
"Yo, wait up little one!" he says catching her. She was crying and was putting up quite a fight in order to get out of Scout's grip.
"LEAVE ME ALONE! I DON'T HAVE A REASON TO LIVE ANYMORE! I'M A USELESS FILLY! I'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING! I'LL-" her sudden outburst was interrupted by a slap across the face. It was Scout who did it, he was crying too. Upon seeing that, Scootaloo calmed down for a while even if she was still crying. Scout sat down, whimpering in a corner. The crippled filly didn't dare to approach him, but he extended an arm over her telling her to come. She suddenly realized that he was hugging her tightly and warmly.
"Y'know little one? I know what losing something important feels like! You see? I lost my Dad when I was young! He was protecting me from those overraging hippie bastards with 'rainbow' colored hair." at the mention of 'rainbow', Scootaloo got away from him slowly. He asked:
"What's the matter?"
"My idol's name is Rainbow Dash! Blue pegasus, rainbow colored hair! The irony huh?" at the mention of this, Scout cried some more!
"I guess the backstabbin' scumbag wasn't lying after all! Rainbows DO make me cry!" he punched a fist onto the wall. "Those hippie bastards and those ideas! Pacifism my ass! My father got killed in front of my eyes and I was able to do nothing! Nothing could be done except running away! I ran away as fast as my feet could take me! I gotta thank my brothers for that since they were bullying me too. In other words, I have gone through too much shit in my life but look at me now, I am one of the fastest humans in the world."
Scootaloo stared in awe. His father got killed yet he was so happy? And she was crying about her condition. She imagined herself dead instead of Scout's father now. She gave up so easily. She cowered her head in shame and started crying:
"I-I'm so sorry... I'm sorry for what I've said to you, for yelling at you. I surrendred so easily after hearing about my wings condition. I couldn't apologize more after what I heard from you."
"Nah it's fine! I'm sorry that I made my baby little sister from another species cry!"
"Baby sister?"
"Yeah! I had only brothers! You're the only filly I could consider as a sister! And lemme tell you something, you see those wings? You can flutter them right?" asked Scout as he recieved a nod from Scootaloo.
"I say that's enough! Because I'm going to teach you how to be the fastest pony in all of Equestria, no scratch that, in the world!" said Scout enthusiastically.
"What? Even faster than Rainbow Dash, who has her wings and stuff?"
"Even faster than any flying pony you encounter!"
Scootaloo hugged him so intensly after that emotional breakthrough she has been with. The dream has not been lost yet!
"By the way, how are you gonna use our weapons?" asked Scout
"With our hooves, silly!" then she realized that Scout has got some sort of clawless paws. "What are those?"
"These are hands! With these, we do stuff like using our weapons!" he held up his pistol, held it, and pointed at the exterior hole from it "We grip it like this and fire from this place that's called the trigger" now he realized something, her hooves are too wide to hold up something like a pistol. He bet that she couldn't pass any of them through the trigger hole.
"Ummmm... A little problem, we have!"
With Applebloom and Engineer
Applebloom wasn't shaken from the realisation that Scootaloo, her friend, lost the use of her wings. Her mind was wandering elsewhere. Her sister's angry look was still printed in her mind. Maybe she's regretting going here. Maybe she must've stayed home to help her family and live a happy life.
"Howdy there little filly! What's with the upbeat face?" it was the hardhat man again, Engineer was his name.
"What do ya want?" asked Applebloom
"Nah nothin', just tryin' to comfort you. Ah mean I know what you feel, getting seperated from home, getting yelled at, etc. But don't ya think that you must move on? Don't ya think that you are causing enough problems for them, being a burden?" asked Engineer. His words were harsh yet they were speaking wisdom and truth. Applebloom had been a burden to many of her friends and family at Ponyville. She proved many times that she lacked self-reliability, that she was rather rash in taking her actions.
"Ah know that! But don't we all love adventuring? Don't we all have to reach and fulfil ar goals?" asked Applebloom
"Goals can be obtained by patience and a good and sane thinking brain." answered Engineer "You see? Mathematics and books have been all my life. I sacrified everything, friendship, love, feelings in general to obtain it. But now that I've became a brainiac genius, I felt a void black hole inside my mind. The lack of friends, care and love. Still, Ah'm very happy that Mann. Co. has very good compatriots who fight for the sake of each other." he got out some sort of piece of carved wood and started playing music. (More Gun playing in the background).
The song was filled in sadness, emotionlessness, but then the beat went on and it became a song of action, of fighting and of encouragement. It ringed into Applebloom's ears and the instrument was attracting her eyes.
"Hell of a beat, mister Engineer!" exclaimed Applebloom
"Thanks! Glad you liked it! Now onto business! I'm going to make your family proud when you return to them. It's gonna be one hell of a year I say. And please drop the mister and call me Engie!"
"Sure Ah'm gonna do, Engie and Ah hope it involves the 'fancy Mathematics' stuff you told me about cause mah sister hates" em" and they laughed louldy before being interrupted by Scout, carrying Scootaloo on his shoulders.
"Yo, hardhat, we might have a little problem here, a little help?" and he explained the whole problem again.
"Now that there is just a big bad problem but let's find Spah and the third pony while I'm thinking about it, ya comin' Bloom?"
Applebloom nodded as she hopped on his hardhat and the four of them went to meet the Spy.
With Spy and Sweetie Belle
The ambiance here was better than the other two cases. The Spy and Sweetie Belle seem to enjoy their little chit-chat until...
"Say Sweetie, do you have any family member?" this made Sweetie remember Rarity. She did her best to keep her composture but it still wasn't enough. She sighed.
"Well yes I do! Her name is Rarity, she's my sister and she owns a boutique! Strangely though, she let me participate in this training camp so easily! She's usually harsh with me because she thinks I can't do anything!"
"But au contraire, my little one, your mastery of the French language proves that you can be a professional like me in my own domain! As you can see I am a spy, I am a master of assasination, deception and camouflage! My objective is to disrupt the enemy by any means and that includes killing them! Yes, killing is part of the nine of us here! It's in our blood! It's our destiny!"
"Wow, this is so cool! Maybe Rarity will see the true me when I come back! Thanks for the advice, monsieur!" said Sweetie, politely.
"Mais je vous emprie!" replied Spy in French
They were interrupted by four appearences, Scout with Scootaloo and Engineer with Applebloom. The fillies hugged each other while speaking about the upcoming training.
"So fellas, I think I have found the solution to this problem regarding firearms usage!" said Engineer, grinning "And no, it's going to be a surprise, mouhahahahaahahaha!" and the laughter echoed thougout the whole building.
Phew finally part 2 finished! Next time there will be a year gap and also some surprises! Whoever finds Engineer's ideas for the CMC using weapons gets a cookie and an internet! Enjoy reading and have fun!

A year later, Canterlot's castle
"This vision is still haunting me! A year has passed but still..." , those were Princess Celestia's thoughts right now. The vision still haunts her even at daytime. She hoped that it will be gone soon but it's still there. A mystery, an unbeatable castle this vision was. But in her heart, Celestia still hasn't lost hope for help shall come, soon...
Outskirts of Ponyville
On a mountain outside of Ponyville from where you can see its beauty, its beating sun and its apple trees, stood three shadowy figures. It is true that they 'stood' but their shadows couldn't be mistaken; they were ponies.
"So, we have finally returned huh?"
"Ah sure can't wait to see the look on their mugs. Probably they won't recognize us."
"Ok, mes amies, will we proceed as planned?"
"Sure we are!"
"CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS MERCENARIES, GO!"
The first pony ran as fast as she could, the third one just disappeared into thin air while the second one fiddled her hat down on her eyes and went to the direction of Sweet Apple Acers.
Sweet Apple Acers
As always, Applejack was bucking her trees hard. A year has passed and she didn't lose her hooves. She was doing her usual job as an honest applefarmer while Big Mac, her brother, was supervising the quotas with his fancy mathematics.
Suddenly, from the biggest tree, somepony was acting strange. He or she was standing on its hinder hooves and was touching the tree with its frontal ones. He/She was mumbling:
"Maybe if..." it was a mare's voice. Anyways, she passed her hoof on the tree trunk many times and then stopped and hit the tree with her frontal hoof. The whole tree was shaken yet only one apple fell onto her other hoof. She took a bite:
"Mmmmmm, still as delicious as ever, and Ah was hungry to begin with..." she said "The trip sure was long."
Applejack sure saw that and automatically thought that it was an applethief. She trotted into her direction:
"STOP RIGHT THERE, YA APPLETHIEF SCUM!" she yelled. The other pony wasn't even fazed by that yell. She continued to chew on her apple.
"Ya sure got some guts comin' here and stealin' ar apples! Now either ya pay for what ya eat or ya face the facts that ya'r gonna spend a little time in jail," but as soon as the other pony finished her apple, she put a hay straw between her teeth and said.
"You sure can't handle a guest quite well here. And I thought that Ponyville was a very good and charming town," she said in a different accent as she laid her back on the tree trunk, still standing on her back hooves and chewing on her straw.
Now, Applejack was beyond pissed off: "Can't say Ah didn't warn ya! Here I come!" and she charged onto the shadowed (by the tree) figure and tried to place a double buckshot on her but the stranger surprisingly blocked her with her hoof, if we say it was a hoof because it was too hard to be a hoof in Applejack's eyes. She finally laid her eyes on the stranger; she was a yellow mare with a cowboy hat on the top of her head, googles on her eyes and two crossed wrenches with an apple at the center as a cutie mark, but what was strange were her hooves: They weren't actual hooves because their extentions were covered in metallic things that seemed like claws.
That's what she felt when she tried to buck her but that claw thingie moved, trying to grab her hind hooves. Applejack anticipated that by backing up. She was astonished at this weird pony who seemed to 'walk' slowly towards her.
"Not bad! I really felt that!" she said with excitement, gripping both her claw thingies and smashing them in each other. "I never had actual combat since my mentors and my friends actually. Come on! Hit me with your best shot!" she taunted. Applejack gritted her teeth as anger was shown in her eyes. She took a couple of apples in her mouth, threw them and hit them with her hooves. The apples were pretty fast and pretty accurate yet the strange pony took both apples with bare 'hooved claws' but didn't crush them and eat them.
"Thanks for the 'free stuff', pardner," her accent changed just right now "Ah don't need anymore apples. Ah can say Ah'm stuffed, for now." and she laughed like crazy. Applejack now realised that she was toying with her so she used her last resort. A rope came out of no where and tied one of the metallic claws. Applejack was grinning while holding the rope as if she was saying 'Gotcha now', but she received a grin back as the stranger used the other claw to pull a string on the tangled up one. A loud noise was heard from the latter claw as the rope was being ripped to shreds.
"If that was you, it'll be one hell of a bloody mess right now," the stranger said as Applejack's jaw was gaping at the scene. She had used up all her techniques. She was out of ideas as the stranger was approaching her slowly. She thought that her fate would be the same as her rope. The stranger gripped her clawed hoof and raised it upon the air. Applejack closed her eyes, awaiting her unavoidable fate of... being hugged?
A hug, she recieved a hug instead of a 'big mean metallic punch' in the face. Applejack couldn't believe her eyes as the stranger shed tears from her googles. "What's with fancy emotions right now? Ya tried to kill me for Celestia's sake!" those were Applejack's thoughts right now.
"Aw come on, big sis, Ah know Ah can't harm mah family dammit!" this sentence stroke Applejack like Rainbow's stormcloud. Sister?
"Then y'ar... no it can't be..." she was suttering. The stranger broke the hug and walked back to the tree, removed her hat, her clawed suit and put them back to a black toolbox that was behind the tree. Then she trotted back to Applejack and removed her googles. It was indeed Applebloom trotting back to her like that. She had became a beautiful adult mare with sparkling orange eyes a long crimson cross-twintailed mane (I don't know hairstyles) and her usual red bowtie.
"YEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAW SISTER! Ah can't believe how much Ah missed ya!" Applebloom said, yelling. Applejack was in shock. Her sister came back. She couldn't believe it. She was the strongest mare in Ponyville yet she was defeated by no one... until now. She was still regretting the words she said a year ago. She cowered her head in shame. How could this be Applebloom?
"Ummm, sister, about that incident that year, Ah'm really sorry for making you suffer this seperation. But Ah had to do what must be done! And Ah don't even regret it! Good to see y'all again!" she said, apologetically (sp?). "C'mon sis, don't make that face in front of me! So how bout we all forget bout the past and make one big party for our return?"
Applejack was still stunned: I mean she forgave her so easily. She was happy of her choice. It was as Big Mac said: Applebloom IS indeed an adult pony right now. "Don't ya use yar fancy feelings on me! I'm a tough pony Ah tell ya, Ah'm..." and Applejack burst into tears while hugging Applebloom.
"There there, sis, there there..." were the only words of Applebloom as they continued talking under that tree.
At the same time, Ponyville
"Ohhhhhh hell yeah! It is a good day to do some exercise!" a certain rainbow-maned pony named Rainbow Dash said (I hate you so much!) as she flew the horizons. She was flying towards Ponyville's trees when she decided to do some ground easive moves. When suddenly, an orange blur passed by her like thunder. The blur was in fact a mare trotting 'on her hind hooves'. She had some machinery attached to them and some to her front hooves as well. She was fluttering her small wings while trotting but her face couldn't be seen due to being a back view and also due to her big black helm with two black canned sodas attached to her.
Still, the mare looked back to Rainbow as if she was telling 'I'm faster than you are'. This look made Rainbow furious and decided to begin the chase. She flew at max speed towards her but the orange mare was a perfect challenge since she couldn't gain any distance in this one-sided race. But then she decided to use her ultimate technique; the Sonic Rainboom.
Rainbow Dash took some altitude and noticed that the orange pegasus that she strangely didn't use her wings to fly. But she didn't seem to care as she gained enough speed to do the Sonic Rainboom so that she could catch with her. She was side by side with her opponent but the latter didn't phase by the Rainboom coming at her as she trotted backwards and put her 'clawed hooves' together.
"You really have a good reputation, Rainbow Dash. But it's over! BLAZING INFERNO!" flames appeared from her claws as she was bursted forward towards the mountains and reached the top with unimaginable speed: The Sonic Rainboom was beaten by a total stranger.
It took time for Rainbow Dash to reach the top of the mountain by flying. She saw the orange mare now with her helmet between her hoofpits. Her cutie mark was a pair flaming wings attached to a shoe. Her mane fuchsia-colored, long and dashing backwards (Imagine Fluttershy's hair when she was licked by the manticore), her gray-purple eyes were eyeing a beaten-up Rainbow Dash with a smirk on her face.
"You see now, Rainbow Dash? This is the level between you and me! Once upon a time I was only but a mere fan of you, but right now, I guess I can brag about being the fastest pony in all of Equestria, but I'm not that low y'know? It is true that I've beat you but in a flying contest, not a chance cause I can't fly!" and with those words she went to Ponyville with a blast.
Rainbow Dash stared in awe: A total stranger just beat and outsmarted her by telling her she couldn't fly? That's impossible! It struck her ego like a blade. She was beyond furious and pissed off right now, boiling with rage. She decided to get to the bottom of this, no matter what.
Ponyville, Carousel's Boutique
(Warning, this passage's dialogue is almost all French! Translations will be supplied later!"
Rarity was doing what she has done best all her life: Making new fashioned clothes. When suddenly, the door rang "Welcome..." she said but nobody entered. I guess that was a wasted welcome.
"Must've been the winds! she thought closing the door.
"Oh non, ma chère! Ce n'est pas que de l'air!" a Fancy stallion voice was speaking out of no where. Rarity was startled. A thief? In the morning?
"M-mais qui êtes-vous au juste? J'espère que ce n'est qu'une blague!" replied Rarity
"Oh mais ce n'est pas une, ma chère! Croyez-moi," This time it was a mare's voice speaking "Je suis belle et bien réele." then some clothes were being 'felt' by the voice. "Oh mais c'est de la haute couture! J'adore la haute couture. C'est si bien fait. C'est ce que j'espère de ma soeur!"
"Ta...soeur? Sweetie c'est toi?" asked Rarity anxiously. Suddenly, a pony appeared before her, she had a knife and watch cutie mark and she was a spitting image of Rarity, besides the mane color which was pink and light-purple.
"Yep, you guessed right, sister! Oh how I missed you so much." said Sweetie Belle with a smile.
"Oh Sweetie, whatever you did right now, don't you ever do it again, darling." said Rarity as she shed some tears while hugging her sister. Her hooves were so hard when she recieved the hug back.
"Oh my stars, darling, what is this monstrosity you're wearing?" asked Rarity, again.
"Oh, forgive me, sister! I didn't put out my Gunslinger suit yet." answered Sweetie.
"Gunslinger suit?" as a loud *thud* was heard from the direction of Sweetie. She noticed that she was walking only on her hind hooves when wearing that but now she was walking normally.
"I think you got some explaining to do, darling." said Rarity.
"Not now, dear sister, at Twilight's library, follow me." as she carried her suit with her, Sweetie and Rarity trotted outside in direction of Twilight's library.

Author's Notes : First I have to say that I'm no brony or whatsoever so I do not know much about My Little Pony but when I saw the connexion between this show and Team Fortress 2, I couldn't help myself but to write this fanfic. Team Cutie Mark Crusaders: Chapter 1 : Recruitement
Canterlot, Celestia's Palace, Nightime
Celestia was sleeping, but not as soundly as you think she would. She was fidgeting in her bed, screaming loudly and tearing, so loudly that she woke up her sister, Luna. Luna tried her best to wake her up and she finally succeeded. Celestia was panting heavily, looking at Luna and hugging her so tightly.
"Luna, it was a horrible nightmare..." she said "I can sense that was no ordinary nightmare, but a vision because of the horrors that have been shown to me, to what happened to Equestria!"
"But Tia, sister, it's impossible to have something as horrifying as you have said in such a peaceful country like Equestira. I believe it is just a passing-by nightmare." said her sister, Luna, trying to comfort her.
"I assure you, Luna, it was a vision, a vision of death and destruction, a vision that tells me that a real danger is coming to us in the future and nopony is going to survive! I do not know how it is going to happen and who is the preperator but I know when it's going to happen. I have foreseen this destruction two years from now as the preparator in this vision said. His tone was vengeful, angry and showing no mercy whatsoever ! Neither my faithful student, nor her friends, nor you and me could stop it ! It is as if magic couldn't do anything! Useless against this foe that I couldn't know or see! Blood was everywhere, dear sister, everywhere! And you were in my arms, dying, with nothing I could do to stop it as I face my fate as well ! Who could have thought that desolation, destruction, death, all those scenes were to come one day in Equestria and nopony could stand a chance against it ? We have no choice, sister, we must prepare for war so that our kin shall remain!"
"War? Sister, you can't be serious! Only a few of our ponies are experienced in such a domain! The rest of them are either civilians or ignorants who do not know what is coming to them..."
"Then you believe in me, Luna?" asked Celestia.
"Who wouldn't if I wouldn't, Tia? I'm your sister after all! It's my job to assure that you're safe with me!" answered Luna, honestly.
"But we must act, somehow..." said Celestia, plunging on her thoughts. Then a spark of thought hit her. "Maybe if- Maybe if I should call 'him' to help me... Yes he has the solution to this . We must wage war on Equestira anyway ! There is no other option! " "I think I should raise the sun in the skies again ! Luna, please, could you call for Twilight Sparkle and send her here?"
"What for, sister? And why shouldn't you send a letter instead?" inquired Luna.
"Believe me, sister, I have no choice in this matter than to explain to you both what is my plan in all this! Also, make sure nobody sees you except Twilight! This is a matter of an utmost secrecy!"said Celestia.
"If 'that man' can't help us, I am not sure who can... " thought Celestia, worryingly.

Canterlot, Celestia's Palace, Daytime
"I hope the Princess is alright!" said Twilight, accompagned with Luna to the throne room. "I have never, ever received a message from her this way! It must be important!"
"Sister will explain everything in due time... Here she comes!" said Luna as Princess Celestia entered the throne room.
"Ah, my faithful student Twilight Sparkle!" welcomed Celestia as usual and she turned to her sister "Did anypony see you Luna?"
"No, I made sure that nopony in Ponyville saw us!"
"Right then, both of you follow me!" ordered Celestia.
They followed her througout the castle as she explained the vision she saw to Twilight. She was astonished and feared that the worse has yet to come but as soon as she heard about the Princess having a plan, she felt a little bit of relief.
"So, what is the plan that you spoke of, sister? Both of us cannot wait any longer! Time is not in our favor right now !" said Luna.
"We have arrived!" said Celestia, standing in front of a black brick wall.
"But Princess there is nothing in there!" said Twilight.
"Haven't you learned from your previous lessons that you must not judge a book by its cover, Twilight Sparkle?" inquired Celestia, reminding her of her incident with Zecora.
Twilight cowered her head in shame; how could she have forgotten such an important lesson. Anyways, the Princess pushed a brick and suddenly, the whole wall shook and made a door, within the door were stairs, they were lightened automatically as soon as the Princesses and Twilight have set foot in this mysterious chamber. It was like magic but it felt nothing magical at all. At the end of the stairs was a room, inside of it were some sort of device and totally golden and empty paper.
"So, we crossed the whole castle, then through a wall with stairs on it only to find THIS?" said Luna "That's your plan, sister?"
"I think I should send you with Twilight in order to learn some lessons too, Luna!" said Celestia. She turned her head to Twilight "Can you guess what is my plan, dearie?"
"Hmmmmmm, from the sight of it, I think you have a precious ally that you would only call in cases of danger like this, am I right?" thought Twilight out loud.
"Very good deduction, my student!" said Celestia, impressed. "Let's say that this is special paper that this ally gave to me and he said that he will only answer if I wrote in this very paper and with this very device."
"Who is this ally that you speak of so highly and mightily and how can he or she help us?" questionned Luna
"He has very advanced combat tactics! He experienced war and whatsoever in it! He has his own army of mercenaries at his disposal! He even saved my life once when I was in a jam! But let's not get over the details, shall we?" said Celestia in a tone of impressiveness "Twilight, can you figure out what this device is?" she levitated the device magically.
"Hmmmmmmm..." Twilight magically took the device and examined it carefully "Let's see..." she turned the upper section of the device, a lower, pointy section with a handle appeared "Intresting!" said Twilight as she saw the ink bottle "Let's try this now..." she put the device, pull the handle and the ink was absorbed by the device. "Now let's see what's what..." she took an empty white paper and tried to write on it but nothing, absolutely nothing appeared. "But that's impossible! A quill with the appropriate ink that doesn't write... This thing is broke!" As she attempted to throw it away, she accidentally pressed on a button; a little light appeared from the device. "Huh? Maybe..." she reflected it on the white paper and writing appeared.
"This is awesome! It appears that this is some sort of secret writing device ! Only who have this device can read the contents of what's written!" Twilight said in amazement.
"A very interesting discovery, my student, now let’s looks for something... Ah here it is." One of the papers had a stamp on it. The stamp was the portrait of some sort of unknown creature by Luna and Twilight but Celestia seemed to be very familiar with that face. The face had a cowboyish hat on its head and mustache on its mouth. It had a smiling posture.
"Ammmmm, Princess, is that the-" said Twilight but was interrupted.
"Why yes indeed that was him. Twilight dearie, be a good pony and reflect the light onto this paper." said Celestia gentlely as Twilight did what she asked. On that particular paper, she saw some sort of writings and the picture of a big building having the name 'Mann. Co Industrials'
"Is that creature a business man?" asked Twilight.
"Why yes, dearie. He is not really a business man by trade yet he has some 'methods' to deal with business" said Celestia "By the way, this is not gold, this is Australium paper from what he told me." she added "So, Twilight dearie since you are the one who discovered how to write with this device, you are going to write this letter for me, put it in this envelope and post it via airmail"
"Airmail?"
"They don't have dragons!"
"Ah ok then I'll gladly write this letter."
"Then write: Dear Mr. Hale..."

Mann. Co Industry, Australia
It was morning and the sun is shining brightly at the windows of the Mann. Co Industry. Here we can find the tall and muscular Saxton Hale, the half-naked manager of the latter industry (Don't take this too realisticly since I don't know the background story of Team Fortress 2) doing paperwork about the new incoming shipment to the RED and BLU companies (For non-TF2 fans, Reliable Excavation and Demolition and Buldiers League United respectively) who aren't showing as much hostility as before the last few days. Normally it would be a blood bath, corpses of the nine mercernaries of each company everywhere, respawning and then killing each other again. Thank God they were clones of the real mercenaries which he commanded and still commands himself* and thank God there were no clones of himself, if there was there would be ten folds the massacre there would normally be. His mercenaries are the original of the original and they are called the MCI (Mann. Co Industry) . They were better than the RED and BLU ones and much much more competent since they only are needed in special occasions. Anyways, he was fed up so he decided to look at the Australian scenery. He saw birds, planes, more birds, a flying little horse with a yellow mane that is coming his way in a well-paced speed... wait, WHAT?
As soon as he saw that, the horsey crashed on Hale's window and onto Hale himself. Hale got up and held the pony. It had wings, a grey skin and a yellow mane. But what were weird were the pony's eyes. They were looking at him in such a way that made Hale pity her.
"Wait a darn minute here, what is an imaginary creature like you doing in my office?" asked Hale as he saw an Australium gold envelope in her mouth, the address of the sender was Celestia, Canterlot, Equestria. As soon as he saw Celestia, he remembered everything, how he met a unicorn winged pony once and saved her and her escort from death with his squad. He remembered how he gave her his pen and his special paper for emergencies in case something bad happened.
"Excuse me, sir! But this letter is for a certain Mr. Saxton Hale." spoke the pony.
"Oh yes! Thank you very much Miss..."
"Hooves, Derpy Hooves... Airmail service of Ponyville..." the pony named Derpy Hooves said, derping her eyes in the process.
"What a cruel name for a pony with an eyes' problem ." thought Hale "Anyways this letter is important so you stay here please! Here have a glass of water and some sugar!"
"Thank you! Thank you!" she said nodding her head up and down many times.
"Must be something important and urgent! It's RARE to receive Australium mail these days!" he tore the letter open, took his special pen and exposed the light to the letter, but the sun was beating brightly so he had to close his windows.
The letter goes as the following:
Dear Mr. Hale,
It is glad that I was able to remember you in such a terrible time and I am sorry that I couldn't write to you since I had many responsibilities in ruling Equestria. But now let's get to the point shall we?
As you know, I am from a royal lineage and as I told you a long time ago, I can have visionary dreams about fateful events that could happen in our country.
At this, Hale nodded.
Well let me tell you that two years from now, Equestria is going to fall into chaos by some unknown enemies. The purpose of my letter is to seek your help by any means possible. I know you are a specialist in war and I know that we are a peaceful city that no war has waged into that's why I thought of you in the first place.
Any help would be possible! Please either write back to me with your answer or follow the messenger I sent here in order to lead you to Canterlot.

Hale was perplexed, not knowing what exactly to do since he himself has his wars to manage between BLU and RED and he himself had enemies, but then he remembered what the Princess told him about some sort of Cutie Mark. According to her, a Cutie Mark is a mark on the back of a pony which can tell what that pony does in life. It seemed like that for him.
"I think this is the only way." thought Hale "Miss Hooves... Could you please show me where Canterlot is?"
"Why certainly, Mr. Hale! Follow me!" said Derpy, flying thought the broken window.
Hale went to the roof of the company, took a jet, and flew at the same pace as Derpy.
"This way, come on..." said Derpy.

Canterlot, Celestia's Palace, Afternoon
It was 4 P.M. and Princess Celestia is still waiting for Derpy to bring her back any sign of Hale's existance. Twilight and Luna were going around the quaters, worried about the Princess' health and anxiety. Derpy was late ! True the distance between Canterlot and the destination is far but as far as they knew, Derpy is one of the fastest ponies in all of Equestria because of her mailing experience. Suddenly, something loud was heard! All the castle ponies were in alert mode as they saw a big black machination flying over their heads. Derpy flew thought Celestia's chambers, breaking the window in process, and said as loudly as she could "He wants to land somewhere, tell the ponies to space out your Highness."
Celestia nodded as she approached the flying object and said "You can land here!" as she said that, the jet landed safely without harming anyone.
The cockpit opened and Hale came out, he was in a gentlemanly costume that could show his musclatory stature. Most ponies murmured somethings and most of them were amazed by such an apperance as Hale wasn't fazed by the looks at him. He approched the Princess galantly
"Oh Princess Celestia, how fateful to remember me in such a hard time!" said Hale.
"Saxton Hale, still as gentlemanly as ever I can see..." said Celestia "Let's get inside shall we?" As they were walking inside, curiosity killed Twilight as she said "What species are you? I mean you came flying yet you have no wings ! How could this possibly be?"
Hale examined her briefly, saw her cutie mark and said "Hmmmmmm... not exactly what I'm looking for! You're the bookworm type aren't ya?" Hale's inquiry made Twilight flush "But to answer your question I'm a human and the machine I used to come here is called a jet plane; it's what us humans use to fly."
After this brief answer, Twilight decided it was no time to ask questions anymore. Arriving at the chambers, Celestia began to speak over tea
"So Hale, please tell me that you have found a solution to this problem!»
"Actually I have but maybe you're not going to like it..." said Hale doubtfully and having all three ponies glaring daggers at him "Ahem, to tell you the truth, I can't dispatch my mercenaries because they also have their jobs to do like managing the company, doing secret and dangerous missions for it, etc" Celestia then nodded in understanding. "There are two things I can do but it will take at least a year to do this."
"Well, what are your terms Hale? I want to listen to what you have to say before I make my judgement !" said Celestia
"The first thing I can do is to provide you with the necessary material for the defense of Equestria and for you dear Princess I can do it for a friendly price."
"Yes! That sounds like a great idea-"
"Wait I'm not finished your Highness! Like I said I can't dispatch any of my units for the defense, just the material which you or anybody-"
"Anybody?" interrupted Twilight "Who's Anybody?"
"I think it's what he calls anypony at their home my dear student!" explained Celestia "Do continue! Mr. Hale"
"The material which you or anybody or pony in this case can't use at all!" continued Hale
"Oh yes! you're probably right Mr. Hale..." said Celestia, worried
"Which will bring me to my second thing and you're not going to like it maybe; I would request to take some ponies from your land to train in weaponry use for a whole year!"
"Well in that case, you can have-"
"Sorry I didn't mention this earlier but the ponies I need need to be cutiemarkless, absolutely cutiemarkless!"
At this Celestia and the others were shocked!
"Wait a darn minute here Mister, do you want US, the ROYAL FAMILY OF EQUESTRIA, to send CHILDREN without any EXPERIENCE under your CARE to teach them about MURDERING?" said Luna, with an angry tone.
"Learning doesn't require any age, sheila, it requires a free mind, a free spirit in order to learn! This unicorn-" he pointed to Twilight "-can't simply be recruited by me simply because she's bound to something already! Am I right here missy?"
"Yes, Mr. Hale! Yes you are... I represent the Element of Magic and me leaving means unbalance in Equestria." Twilight couldn't believe what she said as the shut her own mouth.
"Covering your mouth won't serve anything right now, missy since you have told me everything I needed. Let me tell you something that you won't find in books sheilas! Wars are everywhere, wherever there is peace, there is war! Wherever there is war, there must be killing and sacrificing! War can't be only by killing; it can be by playing the right cards at the right time! It takes cunning, strategy, mentality and bravery! War can also be won by doing nothing but thinking I can approve of that, but according to the Princess here, there is going to be blood so prepare yourselves well because this is the ONLY and UNIQUE chance I'm offering you to defend yourselves like anybody does !" There was a mix of screaming, booming and thundering in the voice of Hale.
"His voice can even rivalize mine/Princess Luna " Celestia's companions thought, cowering in fear.
"I have heard enough! I have no choice but to accept your deal, Saxton Hale, but mark my word if anything happens to the little ponies you're going to choose, then I'll take out your soul before mine!" that was the only threat that Celestia could think of.
"I am a man of my word and I promise that no harm shall be done to your ponies! Now could you show me a map of Equestria?" inquired Hale
Celestia then casted a spell on the ground as the whole continent of Equestria.
"Let's see here..." Hale examined the continent "Canterlot, Ponyville, Manehatten, Appleoussa... (I don't know them all) HM!" He sensed something emitting from Ponyville
"Please be kind enough and zoom on Ponyville!" asked Hale
"I think I know where this is going! Oh no please not them! " thought Twilight
"Hey shiela, I mean Twilight! I have a feeling that you know something about these three ponies I'm seeing right now!" He pointed at a tree house, where there are 3 ponies, one yellow, and one orange with wings and one gray with a horn totally cheerful, totally adventurous and totally cutiemarkless.
"Twilight I know you know them too from your letters ! Why did you choose them Hale?" asked Celestia
"To be honest, they are the closest to the description I wanted: Team working, brave, imaginative, clever, risk taking and especially cutiemarkless ! These are the criteria of true warriors; I mean ponies in this case."
"But why them? They have families you know?" asked Twilight, angrily
"Didn't you hear what I said girlie? Sacrifice is needed! And they are the only rays of hope that can save you from this imminent danger you spoke of!" retorted Hale
"Twilight Sparkle by order of your Princess I command you to bring Applejack, Rarity, and the Cutie Mark Crusaders in here right now!" ordered the Princess, firmly
"B-but-" suttered Twilight
"No excuses! We have no time so make haste!" This is the first time that Celestia was so angry against Twilight.
"Cutie Mark Crusaders, eh? A fitting name for these kids! Creativity is in their blood already! I'll make sure to not let the Princess down or I'll regret it !" thought Hale.

Ponyville
A peaceful town full of cheerful ponies, unharmed by wars, untouched by swords (Yeah I took that from Fable). Here live three fillies that support each other to the point that they became one for all and all for one. One is a yellow earth pony with orange eyes and mane and a pinkish ribbon, the other is a unicorn greyish pony with a mixture of pink and violet mane and green eyes, the third one is an orange pegasus pony with a fuchsia mane and grey purple eyes. The three of them have an objective set in mind: To find their purpose in life and thus by finding what are their cutie marks. Yes, folks, they are the Cutie Mark Crusaders; Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo respectively. Known for their adventures together yet witnessed by few, they tried and still are trying their best to find their cutie marks, but no results.
"It is no use! It's impossible to earn our cutie marks! I'm getting nearly tired of this" said one of them
"C'mon Scootaloo! Don' be so hasty in yo judgement! At least we're tryin' and tryin' and tryin'... Oh what's the use?" said the other one in a noticable Texan accent, tone changing from cheerful to sad. "Plus I'm out of ideas, nothin' comes to mah head, nothin'!"
"I say girls that we should probably give up!" said the third one in a tone of depression "I think we should accept the fact that we should stay cutiemarkless forever and ever but if we accept this fact we will be the masquerade of Ponyville!"
The three of them sighed heavily, heads hunched down as they got out of their tree shack, mounted on the cart as Scootaloo drove them towards Ponyville, not knowing what destiny awaits those three desperate little ones.
Suddenly, three pony figures appeared in front of them; they were Twilight, Applejack and Rarity, with a mixture of anger, sadness and desperation on their faces.
"Please tell me that's a lah, Twilight, please tell me that poor little Applebloom won't go with that creature for training!" said Applejack while holding Twilight by the collar
"As sad as it is, it is true!" said Twilight, desperately
"No way! My sister, my little and beautiful sister, participating in such atrocity? I refuse to believe it!" said Rarity, angrily "I don't care no matter who is this creature and I don't care what Celestia said but she's going to receive my answer and that's final"
"Ah don't believe it either! Princess Celestia goes from a caring and good Princess to something, cruel like that? I'm coming with ya, Rarity!" with those words the two elements left the scene in direction of Canterlot via the air balloon that Twilight came with.
"What in tarnation is going on in here, Twilight?" said Applebloom, witnessing the whole quarrel.
Twilight looked at the three little fillies, hugged them and started crying.
"You poor little girls, you wouldn't believe what is going on with you!" Twilight explained the whole process to the Cutie Mark Crusaders while going to Canterlot.

In the Train
"So let us get this straight, a war is going to wage in Equestria in two years. Princess Celestia called a creature who's a human apparently and he agreed to help us and support us with defensive material but he needs ponies with no cutie marks to train under him for a year and these ponies are US?" said Applebloom, surprised.
"Yes, that quite sums it up!" said Twilight "Even I couldn't believe it but Celestia apparently had no choice! Rarity and Applejack are so furious that they decided to confront Princess Celestia all by themselves."
"Then we must go! We must help them or they might face the wrath of Celestia" said Scootaloo as the group of three thought about something.

At the Castle
"Now now, calm down you two!" said Celestia in a displeased tone.
"Calm down? You wanna me to calm down? I ain't calming down unless you revoke that decision of yours!" said Applejack as she approached Celestia but was stopped by a figure.
"Hey, sheila, back off your princess if you please and you won't get hurt!" said Hale, intimidating her
"Oh yeah? Who's gonna stop me? You perhaps? Take that!" she retorted as she double hoofed him but the apple farmer’s hooves didn't have any effect on Hale. Instead she got them sore, maybe broken.
"W-what in the hay are ya? Some kind of tarnation here?" she said, grabbing her hooves.
"You might have a good apple farming technique but I've received blows from mosquitoes that are tougher than you are! So step off!" said Hale
"You are going to pay for this!" said Rarity as she charged her magic but she had no offensive spell so instead she grabbed a curtain and imprisoned Hale with it but that curtain what ripped off in pieces just by the sheer force of Hale.
"You know what; you should stay in your boutique, knitting your dresses to everybody in your town since that is your job. Fighting isn't suited for you." that was Hale's comment as he tried to grab them both, they feared the worse as Princess Celestia and Princess Luna weren't fazing at all.
"STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!" a loud scream was emitted by three little ponies without cutie marks. Hale stopped at midway and looked to the source of the noise to see them approaching, fear yet determination can be read in their eyes.
"Are you Mr. Hale, sir?" said Sweetie Belle
"Why yes I am" said Hale, looking carefully at these ponies "Oh, you are the three ponies I saw before in Celestia's image!"
"You sir have proved that we cannot match you in combat so please leave my sister alone! Alone I can't match you but us three can at least have a chance against you if you underestimate us!" said Applebloom
"And if that wasn't a fair enough warning, we're coming for you!" said Scootaloo, fluttering her wings
Hale laughed monstrously making everypony except the Princesses cower in fear as he approached the three of them, looked at them intensely and said
"You three are very brave for your age! You have passed!" said Hale, happily
"Passed, passed what?" said the three ponies
"Don't you see it dearies?" it was Celestia's turn to speak this time "He was testing if you were holding up enough as a team! You have proved to me that you are a team but Mr. Hale insisted that he would like to see this for himself!"
"And nothing better than a life-threatening situation like this to awake your bravery spirit! But you three lack training in using any tools for war, that's why I chose you three to go with me for a year !"
"Awesome! So ya say that we have a chance to earn our keep and prove arselves to earn cutie marks?" said Applebloom and Hale nodded "Terrific! We were waiting for this moment for an eternity ! Now that we have the chance to prove arselves and that we are the future of Equestria, you wanted to screw it up. Right, sister?" she looked at Applejack intensely.
"B-but I thought I'd-" but she was interrupted brutally "You thought NOTHING, sister, you couldn't match yourself against a creature that you didn't know! You need to learn about your opponents before you rush in. You maybe are the Element of Honesty but you sometimes act like y'ar an airhead! Tell me who was the one who believed in Zecora from the very start, huh?" She couldn't deny that she was fearful of Zecora the first time she met her, but Applebloom was right, she was an airhead sometimes.
"Alright, sugarcube, you win..." she said, looking away from her sister who was smiling "Really? Thanks so much, Apple-"**
"That's a cowboy for ya!" Hale said "Lonesome, reckless and hasty with decisions! My cowboy ain't like that at all, little Applebloom." she was crying, she lost her sister over a words quarrel. Truth is really harsh to swallow. Hale picked her up and hugged her before placing her on his shoulder.
Rarity went to Sweetie Belle and said "So, you wanted to do this badly, huh? Fine then, good luck." as she said that she hugged her sister tightly "And don't do anything reckless! I think you’re an old enough filly to take care of yourself!"
"Thanks Rarity! I won't let you down!" said Sweetie Belle with determination in her eyes.
"Fearless, daring and dazzling, that's some fancy talents you have here, Sweetie Belle. And I know just the one for ya." said Hale
"W-what about me?" said Scootaloo "I think nobody can vouch for me since-since..." she started crying but Twilight came with a fuchsia pony with flowers as cutie mark.
"Teacher! What are you doing here?" said Scootaloo, surprised
"I came here to wish you all three good luck! And since I am your teacher and you are in my care, I can't leave you without saying goodbye!" said Cheerilie, kissing Scootaloo on the cheek.***
"A caring mother you have there eh, Scootaloo? And what's with that vehicle? Did you do that by yourself?” Scootaloo nodded intensely ”I am mighty impressed ! I think I know just the one for you!" said Hale
"By the one for us what, do you mean Mr. Hale?" said Scootaloo
"Oh please call me Saxton or Saxxy if you will, as for the one for you, it's gonna be a surprise, let's go now my jet is here. A long year is waiting for us!" as soon as Hale said that, they went to where the plane is and jumped to the cockpit.
Engines were making such a noise in Canterlot that the goodbyes and cries of certain ponies were nearly unheard. This was the debut of the Cutie Mark Crusaders as an official team, with a twisted destiny that awaits them in the near future. Everypony in Ponyville and Canterlot that knows about this incident hope that Celestia has made the right choice.
