Canterlot High's bell went off signalling the students that it was lunch, the halls soon looked like a colourful mess.  Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Sunset Shimmer sat at their table eating their lunch, talking about the Sweetheart Dance (A.K.A Valentine's Dance). Rainbow Dash came over to sit down with them. "What's up girls?" Rainbow Dash asked. "What's up?" Pinkie smirked "The roof silly." Pinkie started giggling then burst out laughing and that caused the others to start "Oh Pinkie" Applejack started "that's the lamest joke in the book but you seem to have passed the laughteritis to us. " once they all calmed down Pinkie spoke up. "Oh Sunset I nearly forgot here." Pinkie Pie reached into her bag and a cake with red, orange and yellow frosting saying 'Happy Birthday Sunset Shimmer' in white "I baked this for you this morning do you like it ? do ya ? do ya? well of course you do wait do you?" "Uh," Sunset started "I really like it and you’re still my best friend?" I have no idea what to say, she thought. "Well we better sing happy birthday now shouldn't we." Sunset Shimmer made a wish, "I wish my sister was somehow still alive" she whispered then she blew the candles the five friends clapped. "Thank you girls for this wonderful birthday, I still can't believe that your my friends even though I turned into a monster, you forgave me, you sure did teach me what the magic of friendship is, you girls are the best friends a person could have" "I'm so glad that you appreciate friendship I knew you did since the Battle Of The Bands but it's so nice hearing it from you to confirm it" they all turned around to see Twilight walking towards them "Hope I didn't turn up at the wrong, did interrupt you lunch party?" Twilight asked she held two presents one had Sunset Shimmer's cutie mark printed onto wrapping paper and the other had the peace sign on the wrapping paper "Happy Birthday Sunset Shimmer" Twilight said cheerfully with big smile. "TWILIGHT!" they all screamed. "Sugarcube, you never come at the wrong time. We love it when you visit!" Applejack exclaimed. "Twilight it's so good to see you, but how did you know it was my birthday?" Sunset asked. "Let's just say that Princess Celestia remembers you birthday." Twilight said with a wink then continued, "So I decided that I would pay a surprise visit here. I told my friends and the princess where I was going and Pinkie told me I should get you a gift. This is -" "WHAT!? I never said that." "Pinkie there is a Pinkie in my world, there's an Applejack, a Fluttershy , a Rainbow Dash and Rarity too so that's how I knew you're names when I first arrived so if you go through the portal,  which by the way I don't suggest you should do cause wouldn't it be weird seeing yourself and even weirder in pony version." Twilight finished. "There is another me oh my gosh what am I in pony version can you tell me can ya? Can ya?" Pinkie asked. "You’re an earth pony anyway as I was saying this present is from me" she gave Sunset the gift wrapped up in the peace sign wrapping paper, with a rainbow bow. "I hope you like it." Sunset Shimmer opened the present to find a golden necklace with a picture of all of her friends including Twilight in the middle in their pony form when the defeated the Dazzling’s. On the sides it showed their cutie marks, four on each side. The 9th one wasn't a cutie mark but it said friendship is magic. It was beautiful "Twilight this is beautiful where did you get it?" Sunset asked "It reminds me of all of my friends this is simply amazing." "I made it by hoof no magic, well I did use magic to get the picture and I paid for a plain golden necklace it's real gold by the way , and other than that I made the cutie marks and the friendship is magic charm by hoof" Twilight finished with a smile. "WAIT THIS IS REAL GOLD?!" Sunset screamed. "Um yeah only the best for my friends but if you don't lik-." Twilight was cut off when Sunset said, "This is the greatest gift anybody has given me." Sunset gave Twilight a big hug. Twilight smile "Anything for a good friend." when they parted Twilight gave Sunset the other gift "This on is from Celestia." Sunset opened it inside was a cyan bracelet saying 'Miss you from Celestia' in neon orange and her cutie mark on the left "Twilight please tell Celestia I said thanks." "Of course" Twilight said "Well how are things going here? I can stay for a few weeks. Are any school dances or things coming up?" "Well" Fluttershy started "The Sweetheart dance is coming up its next week." "More like Stupid-heart dance. That dance, eww just all of those couples being mushy." Rainbow said, just as she finished she didn't notice Soarin was behind her. "BOO" Soarin shouted behind Dash. "AHH" Dash jumped out of her seat with a terrified look on her face and turned to run. Then she saw Soarin "SOARIN you scared the hell outta me." she stopped for a few seconds re-thinking what she just said "I m-m-mean you made me forget what I was going to say." "That face PRICELESS PRICELESS HA HA HA ." Soarin laughed "What?! oh laugh it up. " Rainbow said "I was not scared you just made me forget what I was going to say. " "Sorry Rain I-I-I just came over to s-s-ay I'm f-f-free on Saturday wanna hang o-o-out ah ha ha ha." Soarin said between the laughs. "Yeah sure whatever just don't do the BOO thing again, because I forgot what to say," Rainbow lied. "Oh Rain you can't lie to the person who's been your friend since you were five." "Whatever, where should I meet you on Saturday my place, you're place or somewhere else?" Rainbow asked. "My house," Soarin replied. "Ok see ya at P.E class," She said as she waved him off. "Okay." Soarin walked over back to the table where the Wonderbolts where sitting. "So," Rarity began "About that.” "About what?" Dash didn't like were this was going. "I was wondering how many times a week you hang out with Soarin?" Rarity asked. "A-About once a week" Dash said and started eating her food quickly. She knew what was coming and if Applejack and Sunset said something then well she knew IT WAS ALL OVER, she finished her food, lifted her tray and stood up "Well I got to Dash I think I'm supposed to go help out our P.E teacher bye." "Not so fast Rainbow you have some explaining to do," Applejack said sternly. "What so it's bad that I have a friend that's a boy. I don't see what the problem is," she said sounding a little bit angry "You have been hanging out with him nearly every day Dash." Applejack started "I asked if you wanted to do a competition after school and YOU.SAID.NO then Soarin came. I asked him if he knew where you were and he said you guys went to the park. I have asked you if you want to do a competition three times this week and you said NO. I always ask Soarin if he knew where you were and he always replied the same thing HE WAS WITH YOU." "Oh and last week " Sunset began " I asked five times FIVE if you would like to work on some new songs for out band, but you always where busy, like AJ I asked Soarin where you were he was with you! You hung out for more than half the week ." Sunset finished with a grin "Somebody's got a crush." Rarity teased. "Busted," Dash said quietly. "What was that darling?" Rarity asked. "I don't have a crush on him ok were just FRIENDS." Dash shouted. "Whatever." Twilight said "From what I just heard I think you got a crush, and you seem to be going with him rather than us." "SHUT UP WE KNOW ALL ABOUT YOU AND FLASH!" Dash yelled. Ring brriinng the bell went of saying lunch was over and it was time to go to class. All the students exited the cafeteria and ran to their classes. The only ones that stayed were Pinkie, Dash, Rarity, Applejack, Sunset, Fluttershy and Twilight. "Well" Pinkie said eager to change the subject before they found out about her and Cheese "Let's have a slumber party after school to celebrate Sunset's birthday, we can have the leftover cake which I mean the cake cause we didn't eat any, pizza and maybe I some apple cider." "Cider," Dash paused for a while to think, "I'm in.' "Me to but instead of cider can I have water if that's ok with you," Fluttershy said quietly. "Sure Flutters," Pinkie said, "What friends are for". "Friends are for giving you drinks? Uhh I don't think so anyway, we can all celebrate Sunset's birthday together," Twilight said. Applejack and Rarity agreed. "It's settled then SLUMBER PARTY AT MY HOUSE!" Pinkie screamed. "Uhh Pinkie we better get to math class it starts in 55 SECONDS" shouted Sunset. "OH NO" they all ran out of the cafeteria and ran down the halls, including Twilight who thought she should come not knowing what else to do. They ran past the students and teachers saying hello to Twilight. They ran straight and around the corners not stopping, Applejack nearly crashed into someone, Rarity dropped her bag and Fluttershy was screaming of how the teachers would yell at her if she was late, Rainbow checked her watch. "Ten seconds" she said "and where in detention." "I see the doors we can make it." Applejack said "Come on y’all we can do it." Just as the bell rung telling all students to be in class, they made it . "You made it," Miss Chrysalis said, "Oh Twilight Sparkle." she had a frown on her face, "What are you doing here? More evil around this school?" "It's nice to meet you," she replied sounding a little bit sarcastic. "You can join the class we are learning about angles today in math." "Sure!" After their math lesson was finished they went to the gym, and after that they continued going to their classes waiting and wishing school was over already. Twilight participated in all the class lessons except when they were at the gym doing gymnastics. It felt like forever till the school day was over, all of them wanted to rest after a hard day of learning 'egghead stuff' as Rainbow said. Twilight enjoyed learning the history of Canterlot High. Who would have thought this was one actually a real castle once, well before Princess Starry moved somewhere else because some bad people found the secret entrance to the castle. While Twilight listened to the history teacher Rainbow and Applejack had fallen asleep and had to stay behind after class to have talk with their teacher. Applejack said that the teacher just talked about how they need to be more mature and have a goodnight's rest because the next time they fall asleep means two weeks in detention. "Finally I can rest." Rarity began, "Rainbow and Pinkie how do you guys get so good at gymnastics?" she whined with a pout "It's so hard and it ruins my hands, and for some reason my head starts to get wet." "It's natural for me, and that wet stuff is sweat." Pinkie said with a smile. "I'm just 20 % cooler than you," was Dash's answer. Her choice of words earned a chuckle from all of them. "Well now Rarity you can't rest cause now that the school's over we can have our- " Pinkie said. "SLUMBER PARTY" they all cheered. "Hey that's my line!" They took the bus to Sugarcube Corner and went to Pinkie's Room. Pinkie's room had yellow walls with blue and pink balloons on the walls. It had a pink bed a TV and wardrobe with all her clothes inside, beside the bed there was a little bedside table on each side. Twilight remembered this from the last time she came over for a Slumber Party, it wasn't really fun for her since it was during the Battle of the Bands and she was busy writing a counter spell song. Everything had been the same as before except there were more pictures on the wall of them together, it had been a year since they met battling evil. Twilight looked at and Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Sunset Shimmer celebrating her birthday with a good game of twister. Friendship through the ages Twilight thought Friendship through the ages. Suddenly out of nowhere a pillow hit the back of her head. She turned around to see Dash throwing pillows at everyone and so was Pinkie. Twilight smiled when it hit AJ. Applejack felt something hit her head. She turned around to see Dash throwing pillows at everyone and so was Pinkie "You do realize that this means war right?" "PILLOW FIGHT!" Dash and Pinkie screamed "Fluttershy, Sunset, Rarity, Twilight help us." Pinkie and Dash said at the same time. "Oh I don't want to hurt anyone." Fluttershy whispered. "Fluttershy." Applejack said " come with me and you won't have to hurt anyone. Just stay here on defense, I pinkie promise I won't make you hurt anyone ." "Fluttershy don't listen to her come with me come on shy I have been you're best friend forever please." Dash was practically on her knees begging. " PLEASE" "I-I." Fluttershy had no idea what to do but she knew she could trust Rainbow " Ok Dash I'll come." "YEAH! In your face AJ." "Whatever," Applejack turned to Twilight” Twilight please." "Sorry Applejack but I think we have no chance against the team they've made." She pointed to Dash, Pinkie and Fluttershy and Sunset seemed to have joined "But I'll try to help." "Thanks, Rarity?" "Of course darling, besides I need to get back Pinkie and Dash for switching my shampoo with hot sauce and replacing my newest dresses with balloons confetti." "WAR!" Pinkie screamed just seconds after she did pillows hit their faces. "This isn't so fair you got more people" Twilight exclaimed. "Whatever I'm the birthday girl and I say WAR!” Sunset screamed. "I wish it wasn't her birthday." Rarity mumbled "So we could have a fair game." "I HEARD THAT!!!" Sunset shouted. They spent an hour throwing pillows at each other, obviously Dash's team won. They were all on the floor laughing, feathers where scattered on the floor for several pillows had been broken. This was the day they could just be together as friends never having to worry about some evil people trying to take over the school or kill them for some random reason. A day when they could relax and celebrate Sunset Shimmers birthday a perfect day. Ring Pinkie's door bell rung. "Pizza's here," Pinkie said. They all raced to the door. Pinkie said whoever got there first got to pick whatever game they would play next since Sunset didn't mind. Rarity wanted to play truth or dare, Fluttershy just wanted to take an animal test, Applejack wanted to play truth or dare, Twilight didn't care and Rainbow just wanted to get there and play tennis outside in the dark, Pinkie she would just want to play twister. So far Applejack was in the lead, Rainbow could not let her win. She and Applejack had spent a lot of time together when they got back to being friends again, they were like sisters and for some reason after the fall formal all five of them which is Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie and Rarity could read each other’s minds and Sunset could to after the battle of the bands. Rainbow knew Applejack, and she knew she liked a little bit of gossip from time to time. "HA I WIN!" Applejack said doing her victory dance. "No,” thought Rainbow Dash "Um that would be twenty-two dollars please," the pizza deliverer said. To their surprise it was Flash Sentry. "Oh here," Pinkie passed twenty dollars to him and two one dollar coins. "Thanks," He gave Pinkie three pizza boxes. "Hey Twilight long time no see huh." "Flash!” Twilight said jumping into his arms " Oh I have missed you so much." Flash spun her around still hugging Twilight. When the pulled apart Flash said, "Why are you here? Please don't tell me there is more evil coming." Twilight giggled, "Oh no I'm just here to celebrate Sunset's birthday." "Oh well I guess I'll be seeing you around?" Flash asked. "Yeah, want to hang out sometime?" Twilight asked. "Sure I'll be going now… HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUNSET!" Flash replied, running off to his car. "Thanks," Sunset whispered. "Well come on people let's eat!" Rainbow exclaimed. They went to the back to Pinkie's room and on their way there they went to the kitchen, grabbed some apple cider and water bottles. They ate on Pinkie's bed eating the cheese pizza and the pepperoni pizza and they didn’t forget the cake. After they ate it was time for one more game before they would sleep. Applejack knew the perfect game. "Ok y’all I want to play truth or dare" Applejack said "Rainbow truth or dare?" Rainbow knew if she chose truth Applejack would ask if she had a crush on Soarin she could not let that secret slip, "Dare" Dash said confidently. There is no way she can ask me if I like Soarin because I chose dare. Applejack thought had to think something to make her spill the beans, and then she remembered some trick Pinkie did once "I dare you to tell me the truth for this question. Do you like Soarin?" Dang, Dash thought. How will I get out of this mess an idea came, it wasn't the smartest but I could work "Well I'm really tired night," she ran to her sleeping bag and started fake snoring loudly. "But Da-" Rainbow started snoring louder. "Well it is 1:32 am I guess we should sleep too," Twilight said "Night girls." Everyone went to their sleeping bags and fell asleep. ________________________________________ "NO!" Sunset screamed "What did I ever do to you?” "Does it matter anymore?" Wave Beam Rose said. "Sunset help me." Moonlight Shimmer said, it sounded lower than a whisper. Sunset knew if she didn't act soon her sister would die. Wave was about to finish her off but then a blue light glowed around Moonlight the light around her grew and then with a flash she was gone, leaving only a burnt mark from where she was before. "No…No…NO!” Sunset screamed. Her sister was gone. "NOOOOOOO!" ________________________________________ The moon and stars were shining brightly in the night sky and its bright light went shone window of Pinkie Pie's bedroom. Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity and Pinkie Pie were watched Sunset Shimmer as she tossed and turned around in her sleeping bag. "Do you think she's ok?" Fluttershy said softly "No no no no… AHH!" Sunset was now found herself in Pinkie's bedroom, “I-I-I-t was just a dream.” "Why darling are you ok?" Rarity inquisitively asked Sunset. "Yeah just fine nothing to worry about… Heh." "Really cause you're scream was so loud it woke up the whole city! I think," Pinkie said cheerfully. "Sugercube you can tell us anything you know that right?" "I know Applejack I just don't wanna talk." "Are you sure?" Rainbow Dash asked. "I'm sorry." "No need to say sorry what are you saying sorry about? All I want to know what's up with you." "Yeah we wanna know what's up and why you're screaming and why..." "Pinkie stop." "Okie dokie lokie." "Sunset darling please tell us," Rarity said. "Yeah we want to know cause we're you're friends and friends don't keep secrets from each other," Pinkie said sounding a little bit sad. "Yeah" all of them said except Pinkie who kept saying. "Please please please please please please please please please please ple-" "Ok, ok, ok, i'll tell you. Now stop." "Okie dokie lokie" "Now Sunset spill the beans!" Dash exclaimed. "She has beans were?!"Pinkie looked up and down and around and found no beans, "Oh Dashie she has no beans silly billy." "What I didn't mean that I meant she should tell us what um I ugh never mind." "Ok it's just another nightmare nothing important." "Do you want to talk about what the nightmare was?" Twilight asked "It might make you feel better." "Yeah. Have you guys ever wondered why I became a monster at the Fall Formal?" "Now that I think about it i would like to know why." "Well you see-" "Wow, really?" Pinkie questioned. Ugh Pinkie don't break the fourth wall! "Just wanted to say you're really bad at writing." Whatever. "Then why are you writing? What did you score did you get in your writing test?" A+ n-. "A+? I don't believe you." Ugh Pinkie look I don't have much time to write each day cause I have to secretly do this during my homework time so but I'll try harder to make more time each day so I can actually write properly.
