To Lynxa
I guess I should… Start off with…
Argh! What is it that those stupid ponies say! Buck it!
I need to say I’m sorry. I sorry for all I put you through. I’m sorry for the fact that…
You were right. L, you were right. No-one does actually love me. The other thing you said. about the ponies? Yeah, that was right as well. I went to Ponyville. They were all so LAME, but thinking about it, they’re okay, just dweebs.
Heh, yeah, douchebags.
So I met up with Rainbow and… I don’t wanna talk about it, why am I writing like this?! I guess I’m just writing out how I think, how I talk…
Ugh, I hate this, I feel like that ‘Good and Faithful’ fucking ‘Student’ of Celestia, you know, Our High Lord Sun-Butt? Yeah her. She has a uncool dweeb of a student in Ponyville.
But that wasn’t what got to me. There is a BRIGHT PINK FUCKING PONY there that always… ALWAYS made ME seem like the twat, like I was the idiot, like I. WAS. LAME! That is so uncool! I got pissed and…
You know what? It doesn’t matter anymore.
I went to Ponyville, the grand palace of dweebs and now…
Yet again, heh. Doesn’t matter anymore.
I miss you L, I miss your grey, soft feathers. I miss that strange pattern you have over your eyes in that deep black, oh well I guess I miss those golden eyes of yours as well. That smile you have, the way you somehow get your fringe back and well… I guess I even miss that white flank of yours! Heh…
I'm just glad that we didn't tell anyone about us... Well, we did tell some people but… I guess everyone eventually found out, weird huh?
Yeah, still doesn't matter.
Is there anyone I haven't snapped at?
I’ve snapped at my friends, my family and…
I’m so sorry for what i did Lynxa, I know I shouldn’t have snapped at you it’s just that…
Well, you know exactly why I did it, I just hit some sore spot on you, there are only so many low blows a relationship can take. I should never have brought, that, up.
So… Yeah… I don’t know what to say anymore.
That hasn’t happened for a long time.
Dear Griwalda I feel so stupid! I’ve given everything up, I packed up and left, with only a few bits! I… I’ll be fine.
It was nice knowing you L, and I’m sure I’ll be fine… Yeah,
See ya round… Dweeb…
Heh.
Gilda
I received this in early Spring. I didn’t think anything of it at first. It was nothing to me, it meant nothing. I just thought that it was Gilda informing me that she was OK and that she was sorry for everything, but I was still so angry at her, I almost burned it. I don’t know what actually stopped me. So i filed it away, under a pile of paperwork, so I knew it was there, I just didn’t have to look at anything to do with her. Soon though, my anger toned down from a blazing wild-fire, to a gentle ember. I accepted her apology, but the letter remained under the paper-work, VAT returns and all. You see, I worked in finance advice for one of the border cities between Griffonia and Equestria. Whilst it sounds boring, I basically doubled as a counselor, Because when ponies and griffons have no money, they need someone to talk to.
So I actually have my own company ‘Lynx Finance Advice’, or as it was frequently called, LFA. We weren’t a huge company, about ten employees in all, but we sure had a lot of work to do. You see, Ponies in ‘Border’ followed Equestrian law, whereas Griffons followed Griffon law. So Griffons had to pay their tax to our high Empress ‘Griwalda’ and Ponies their Royal tax to the Princesses.
So whilst the job was tough, especially with how harsh and brutal Griffon law was, we got a lot of money in. Enough that I often gave my employees more holiday days than were on the contract, but I didn’t mind, they were all amazing workers.
Now I’m not that kind of boss that just manages, I actually did my own financial advising/ and gave myself only the amount of holidays that was on my own contract (yes, I made an employment contract for myself, leave me alone) and I spent them all in the Summer, It gave me about a month and a half of Holidays, and sometimes more depending on how much overtime I did. That year I actually had three months of holiday saved up.
That seems like a lot right? Well, I also had a new found addiction to coffee to stay awake during all the overtime I spent doing Ponies tax returns.
So you gain some, you lose some, right?
My company had had a huge burst in work just before the Summer, and the jobs were thin on the ground at that point, so we all went on holiday, all of us. I was looking for a place to go. I’d been to Canterlot multiple times, the Crystal Empire also, Minotaur lands would be fun but… Minotaurs. Saddle Arabia and the Bad Lands were both options. Yes, I occasionally go on holiday to the Badlands, you have a problem with that? No, that does not make me a Changeling. I was looking round when I saw a scrunched up piece of parchment under a pile of paperwork. Looking at it I realized it was Gilda’s letter. I thought about it, I’d never been to Ponyville, sure I’d seen it out the train window as we went past it on the way to Canterlot. It sounding like quite a relaxing place to spend the Summer, so I sent a few letters, rented a house from two ponies named ‘Lyra’ and ‘Bon-Bon’ who were going away for the Summer, and packed my bags.
