The Underworld. Everypony thought it could never fill. To them it was just an endless pit where the evil and corrupt are banished. Little did they know an uprising had begun amongst the demons that dwell there. Cerberus was quickly overwhelmed and destroyed allowing the free passage of all creatures from the underworld to roam free. In mere weeks half of Equestria was claimed by the dark beings despite all attempts to stop them. Within a month, only one kingdom remained. Being the only city with a barrier strong enough to hold back any evil, the Crystal Empire cut itself off from the rest of the world. Those ponies who managed to get to the Crystal Empire found that they could still pass through the barrier but the demons could not. This is the story of one Stallion and his filly who made it safely.
