Reise Reise

The first rounds of the newly orchestrated battle of the bands was about to begin. Many students and their bands were waiting for their chance for fame, the Dazzlings watching from the back. They were confident and very much assured their plan for takeover would go unchallenged, save for the botched attempt by the Rainbooms. As Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna make their way on stage, the Dazzlings couldn't help but notice a band dressed in strange clothing that can only be explained as steampunk.

"Welcome to the first time Canterlot High battle of the bands! I think I speak for everyone when I say it is by far the greatest thing we have ever done at this school!" Principal Celestia announces as the students cheer.

"We would like to thank our three new students for turning this even into something exciting!" She moves her arm to the Dazzlings direction as Sonata and Adagio wave, Aria reclining back with a relaxed expression.

Vice Principal Luna comes forward and takes the microphone as she explains what could be considered igniting the spark, "But as this is now a competition, there will only be one winner. Who is it going to be?" This creates an air of tension as the students move away from each other, creating division and hostility. The arguments and fighting creating the green mist as it is sucked away into the three sirens pendants as they accept the energy with hunger.

"You feel that girls? Our true power is being restored!" Adagio informs them as they all laugh, the doors open and the Rainbooms walk in, prompting Adagio to cut the laughter short.

"And that is before we tapped into the strongest magic here." She grins as the girls look around nervously at the fighting student body.

"But the Rainblossoms or whatever they're called, aren't under our spell, how exactly are we supposed to get to their magic?" Aria asks bluntly, she wonders if Adagio even has a plan to counter this question.

"The Rainbooms are just as capable of falling under our spell than anyone else, they just need a little... shove in the wrong direction." She responds, putting emphasis on the shove as she smiles.

Principal Celestia flips through the first notecard as she reads out the line up, "The first band that will be playing is... " She stops as she squints as she looks to her sister, whispering but everyone can hear through the microphones light sensitivity.

"How do you say this name?" She asks, Luna reads it over and pulls the card closer, "I'm probably going to botch this but i'm going to assume its Die Industriellen not like dye but dee, dee Industriellen." Luna explains as Celestia scratches her head confused.

"Whatever, the first band is Die Industriellen." Celestia announces as she puts the mic on the stand and moves away, the band members make their appearance. The attire and the way they look prompt stares and whispers among the students as one of the members, the keyboarder/synthesizer and sampler wears a world war one themed steam punk gas mask approaches his equipment and attaches the breathing tube to the mask.

The other band members set up their instruments as they too wore German themed steampunk industrial attire, all dirtied up like as if they were covered in soot. The keyboarder starts off with a few notes from his keyboard and presses a few buttons to initiate the sound samples as the lead singer, Han, or by his stage name Das Gerat or The Machine in english approaches from the side, hands behind his back.

The bass guitarist plays a progression of chords that follow in sync with the keyboarder as Han pretends to crack his neck as if this were a major performance.

"This song... this song is called Zeichen und Wunder, Signs and wonders." Han announces as he starts to sing,

"Auf der Strasse liegt ein Mann..." the starting of the song in German surprises Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna as they never heard anything like it. The Deutsch language was unfamiliar to them as the students look at the strange band with interest. The Dazzlings lean forward, Adagio being the most concerned.

"What are they singing? I can't understand mumbo jumbo." Sonata says as she sticks a finger into her ear and tries to clean it out, thinking that would solve the problem.

"Who are these guys and where did they even come from?" Adagio asks, confused and somewhat frustrated as this new band was taking the student body by force. The Rainbooms also were no exception to this new type of music as Rainbow Dash grunts and still tunes her guitar.

"My bands still cooler than these weirdos." Rainbow says proudly before being knocked over by the incoming heavy chorus.

"Weichen und Zunder!" the keyboardist sang as the tube that connected to his mask allowed him to speak and be distorted by the keyboard and synthesizer as he rolls the distortion sound peg, speaking two different lines of weichen with zeichen and zunder with wunder.

The two guitarists move their bodies and headbang heavily to the chorus. One of the guitarists, the main player named Richard, appearing with spiked hair with black lips and black eyeliner, in a black German military industrial themed trench coat with white trimmings, all in black walks over to the Principal and shows off a bit as he looks at her with a serious facial expression as Principal Celestia looks a bit surprised.

He also approaches Rainbow Dash at the side of the stage near the stairs as he makes a challenging guitar motion that can only make her growl but blush slightly as he turns away.

"I have to say, this new style is certainly interesting, I like how that one guitarist accentuated the black with the white for his trench coat, the military theme does work for the industrial style. But I do disagree with the dirtiness on their faces, especially the vocalist, his vest looks too heavy even though it fits for him and his messy hair. Ooooooh it just doesn't look favorable at all." Rarity makes an icky face as she waves her hand away as if to shoo away an invisible dirty force.

The students watch in awe as the lights flash with the heavy guitar chorus and heavy drums. The keyboarder stands still and looks intimidating as his fingers dance across the keys, knowing his part as the tinted goggles on his mask conceal his eyes. Han sings passionately as his slick hair moves in front of his face, his left gloved hand waves in the air as if orchestrating a grand choir. The guitarists and bass player headbang in sync as the drummer moves his feet to fill the double bass parts as his stick hits the ride giving it the nice metal sound along with a distinctive tink sound.

"Zeichen und Wunder, hast du sie nicht kommen sehn? Weichen und Zunder, sie geschehen doch.

Zeichen und Wunder , leuchten um sie zu verstehen" Han sings as he closes his eyes, speaking the German with clarity and the roughness of the german language. Several of the students hold up the devil horns as they headbang along to the song.

The Rainbooms look at each other, somewhat worried and unsure if they would move on through the first round as this band was pouring their energy and passion into the song.

"I'm not sure if we will even make it. This song makes me want to hide." Fluttershy says as she whimpers behind AppleJack as the masked keyboarder slowly turns to make eye contact with Fluttershy, causing her to squeak and shake in fear. Sunset Shimmer watches and unknowingly hums along to the song. Twilight pulls out her notebook and tries to write down notes about the German language from what she's gathering from the Die Industriellen.

In the back, Vinyl Scratch was listening to her dubstep music but the flashing lights made her move one headphone to see what was going on but the heavy music instantly grabbed her attention. The style of the band, Hans acting as he sings and the techno aspects has Vinyls full attention as she leans forward wanting to listen to more. Her magenta eyes can be slightly seen as her glasses were slowly being lowered, her smile growing bigger and bigger.

The band finally enters the final parts of the chorus after singing it for the second time for the ending, the guitarists signal the drummer and he hits his floor toms three times as Han lets his vocals linger. The keyboarder lets a sound bit of static go into its last seconds as the band finally ends the song.

Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna clap, nervous and unsure as they write down the score for the band while the students clap and cheer.

Han holds out his arms for the band to join him as they bow, they make a right face in a military fashion and exit the stage. The Dazzlings watch their exit as they slowly make their way to the other exit to catch the lead singer and hopefully recruit him if he is alone. Adagio put Hans band into the top of her priorities, as well as a potential threat to her plans, somewhat taking precedence over the Rainbooms.

Han exchanges high fives with the bands as they all talk amongst themselves, Han wiping the sweat off his forehead and moving the hair from his eyes he turns to see the Rainbooms approach him.

"You must be the Rainbooms right?" Han asks as he approaches them but Rainbow Dash holds them back.

"We are, and what are you guys supposed to be?" RD asks, somewhat in a mocking tone yet annoyed.

Han looks at her somewhat unsure of her posture, "Ummm well we are Die Industriellen or the industrialists in english." He holds out his gloved hand as Rainbow looks at it with suspicion.

Han notices and takes off his glove, "Oh sorry about that hehe."

She slowly reaches out and shakes it as Han shakes her hand firmly, "Nice to meet another band, we don't look at this battle of the bands thing competitively, even though its what its supposed to be. We are just having fun up there, playing songs that speak to us and just being passionate about it. Not about fame or popularity. Just to sing what our hearts say."

Twilight reflects on Hans words as Rainbow Dash ruins the moment by being her prideful and boastful self, "Well whatever you say, but my band is still twenty percent cooler than yours." This makes the other girls look at Rainbow annoyed as they remind her again its THEIR band, not just hers.

Han chuckles softly and shrugs his shoulders, "Whatever you say."

Rainbow smirks and crosses her arms, "We can do way better than your gibberish music."

Han acts shocked as the rest of the band laughs behind him, "You think our music was gibberish?" he asks feeling somewhat offended,

"Well I wouldn't blame you since you're somewhat uneducated to the German language. This music is called nu industrial metal. Outdoes whatever style you have by years ahead of its time." he says as he pats her back with a smile, resulting in Rainbow moving away from him.

“The German language is a fascinating language that when put into song, as we have done. It excels and is showed through passion.” he explains as his band nods their heads.

“Well we need to win this battle of the bands for reasons you wouldn’t understand.” Twilight explains as Han looks at her.

“What reason would that be?” He asks her as she looks away nervously but AppleJack steps in.

“None ah yer business. It’s something us gals need to handle by ourselves.” AppleJack says as Han shrugs his shoulders.

“Alright, whatever you say. Good luck to you then.” He says with sincerity as he walks away and his band follows.

Rainbow growls, " Oh yeah! Well... good luck in your dumb gibberish band!" She yells out as Han waves his hand, informally acknowledging her failed attempt to insult them.

Han lets out a long sigh as the band heads for the changing room, "I don't know why they have to be so hostile about us playing."

The spikey haired guitar player, Richard, puts a hand on Hans right shoulder, "Hey they're probably just jealous our music is new and they are afraid of something new."

Han pulls out his phone and checks the time as he slips the phone into his pocket, "Yeah, maybe... but I didn't want to end this with bad feelings."

He opens the door to the choir room as the band gets themselves cleaned and starting to change.

“So there is a new German restaurant that opened downtown, let’s eat there for dinner tonight.” Han suggests as the band nods and agrees.

The Dazzlings follow the band, to gather more information on their newest target. As they watch the band from the open door, Adagio is already making mental notes on her intended prey.

“Well well… Han is it? It will be fun getting you to sing with us.” Adagio speaks to herself as she laughs evilly.

Han looks up and looks towards the door, as the Dazzlings quickly disappear behind the door sill. He walks to the door and looks down both hallways as it was empty.

"There something wrong Han?" the keyboarder, nicknamed Die Doktor, asks as he takes off his gas mask, rubbing his short hair.

“Thought there was something behind us for a minute.” Han says before shaking his head.

“Must be imagining things.” He thinks to himself as he hums the bands song while changing.

With the Dazzlings hiding behind the door a few rooms down, Adagio giggles to herself as Aria and Sonata smile deviously as they are in on Adagios plan to corrupt Han and have him join their side.

At the gym

Han and Die Industriellen takes a seat at the back of the gym as the next band does their first audition. When the time came for the Rainbooms to appear Han watches as the fashionista Rarity walk on stage with a outfit with metal accessories.

"That outfit is begging for attention." Han says as his bass player, Ollie, that is sitting next to him agrees.

The Rainbooms enter the stage and begin their song, "We've just got the day to get ready, and there's only so much time to lose.

Because tonight, yeah, we're here to party, so let's think of something fun to do..."

Han notices something suspicious in the catwalks as he sees Photo Finish and her girls drop magnets to sabotage Raritys outfit.

"Gentlemen... we have cheaters in the catwalks. Come on, lets help the Rainbooms out." Han gets up as the band follows while they flank from both sides to get onto the stage and up the catwalks.

"Hahahahaha! The Rainbooms vill definitely lose after zis!" Photo Finish giggles as she moves Rarity about like a puppet on strings until Han shoves her friends aside and cuts the strings.

"Vhat?!?! Vhat are you doing?!?" Photo Finish yells in her heavy German accent, Han points towards the end of the catwalk,

"I think its time for you to go Mein Fraulein" Han replies in his own German accent as she grunts and motions for her girls to follow.

Rarity looks up as soon as the strings fell to see Han giving her a OK sign as he motions for her to keep playing. She smiles and tears up as Han had saved her from a potential disaster. When the Cutie Mark Crusaders where yawning and saying "Boring!" Pinkie Pie was about to pop out the confetti until she felt a poke from behind and saw the drummer from Die Industriellen, Doom, making the cut throat motion as Pinkie heard a few students cheer from the lifeless crowd.

Snips and Snails were giggling as they were about to head up to the stage to sabotage the Rainbooms as well but were interrupted by the two guitarists. Their intimidating forms and appearance made the two jokesters rethink their plan as they backed away.

As the girls song ended, Die Industriellen and Han make their back to the crowd, seeing the Rainbooms ended they cheered and whistled.

The girls soon exited the stage where Sunset Shimmer approached them.

"Wow! You girls were great!" She said excitedly as Han approaches from behind,

"Yeah you girls did pretty good. Nice work." He says sincerely as Twilight steps forward, "Why did you help us? I noticed what you did, how you stopped Photo Finish from ruining Raritys outfit and your two guitarists stopping Snips and Snails from ruining us even more. Why?" She asks, questioning the German band leaders actions.

Han shrugs his shoulders, "Honestly I felt it was the right thing to do. Every band deserves equal chances of winning, we dislike cheating very much and what they did should get them disqualified."

"I think it was very nice of you." Sunset Shimmer says as she quickly kissed Han on the cheek.

He looks at her shocked as the girls all gathered around Sunset and teased her a bit, "Oooooo you like the bad boy don't you?" Rarity giggles as Pinkie Pie squeals and jumps around happily.

The band gathers around Han to give him pats to the back and fist bump him, "Nice one, she is definitely your type Han." Richard says as the keyboarder Die Doktor plays a small sound sampling of a robotic laughter.

"Ok, thats kinda odd." AppleJack said as Die Doktor waves while AppleJack rolls her eyes and crosses her arms.

"Well... I don't know what you girls are planning to do... I mean whats going on? Whats this special plan you got?" Han asks as Twilight sighs and explains whats going on with the Dazzlings and what their plan is supposedly. The band and Han have a hard time understanding but get the concept that the three girls are up to no good.

"So thats why we were wondering if... would you... help us?" Twilight asks nervously, her foot moving a bit as she curls her hair with a slight blush. Sunset looks at her and notices the blush and twisting of hair, she would normally do that for the blue haired rocker Flash Sentry but this new vocalist, Han Maschine would put him in a state of competition. As she thinks about this she smiles deviously, "I'm sorry Twilight but this German boy is mine."

The Dazzlings watch the conversation taking place between the Rainbooms and Die Industriellen as Adagio growls, "So Adagio what are we going to do now? You're plan is probably going to shit now since they just allied with the girls that are out to stop us." Aria asks, not caring yet expecting Adagio to make another ingenious plan. Adagio smiles though, not affected,

"This does nothing to stop me from getting Han all to myself." She smirks as Han turns to notice the lead siren staring at him, he looks away slowly to get into a discussion with Twilight about the counter spell and asks what he can do to help. Adagio though notices how his facial features, his slightly unshaven face, his long black hair reaching only neck long and how it grows down to his jaw line. She found it arousing and loved how thick it grew.

"Girls... I am going to get myself a German no matter what it takes." Adagio tells her siren sisters as she giggles evilly, her pendant glowing brightly.
