so, to understand this at all, i have to tell you a story. first, there is the creator. the unknowable being that created all that is, was, and shall be. that's nothing new. now, he had a couple of kids. 12, to be precise. each of them were given almost unstoppable power, and their own dimensions to fiddle around in.

most of them, are pretty content. but about five of them got antsy. they thought, 'hey, i want everything.' and so it started. a war that included 12 dimensions, almost an infinite amount of species, and resulted in the death of two, the sealing of four, and the others going there separate ways.

so billions of years later, and one of them, dezann, is ready to free himself. almost coincidentally, he's been watching equestria with a rather great interest. he saw three beings, of similar disposition as him, attempting to take over, and failing. he saw an opportunity, and he took it. now, he has three willing sacrifices to help him resurrect himself.

seeing a problem, the surviving seven (not their official name) sent their own champions in to stop, or at least slow down, his resurrection.

gaia, ever the stoic one, sent her robot, JSUS1

ulysses, ruler of the first dimension, sent his son, Nero.

Balthazar, master of the 9th realm, sent the leader of his medi-knights, suor.

patterson sent scorn, his right hand.

mr. ditto, chaos and goop (that's really his name), sent his spawn, looz.

akira, ruler of the second dimension, sent his champion, impact.

and firill, master of the unknown, sent his general, mason.

so now, there's 15 beings, including the main six, all at odds. wonderful.

also, the other sealed three decided to throw in their cards.

dracul forefather of all undead, sent lycan

power, all father of the elementals, sent sam

and asmodeus sent st. george.

now it's eighteen. this has all the requirements of a fighting tourney, but i'm not going to do that.
