The Second chance(A Human in Equestria)
BRRRRIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!! The school bell went off and the students all rushed to get home or to there after school activities. Brian walked out into the sunlight
. He didn't have any after school activities to do so he was just going to go home, do his homework, eat, maybe play his instruments if he had the time and go to bed, the usual.
Brian was reading a book while he was He started walking down the steps of the school when he heard someone call his name. " Hey Brian! Why don't you get out of the book!"
Brian just kept walking he didn't have time to listen to Dylan's stupid quotes he did every day on school's front lawn.
Dylan was not amused. "Hey egghead! I'm talking to you!" Brian then closed the book and turned to Dylan and his gang. They started walking towards him, Brian stood his ground and did not move. Dylan did this every day to Brian, so he expected it.
Oh Im sorry I don't speak idiot Dylan, try english instead." Dylan's face went red with embarrassment.
" Oh so you want to get smart with me, okay lets see you get smart with this." Dylan snapped his fingers and his gang was on him.
Brian wiggled and struggled to get away from the boys but could not overpower their strength. Brian tried to cry out but his mouth was covered. He was dragged behind a few trees and bushes.
" Shut him up, Shut him up for God's sake! And hold him down I don't want him to get away."Dylan said with dread in his voice.
They did as they were told and tightened their grip and pushed him down so hard Brian thought he was going to sink into the ground.
Dylan stepped in front of Brian. " Brian, Brian, Brian, you know you shouldn't be so rude to other people." He drew back his fist and slung it down on Brian's chest. OOOFFF! To Brian it felt like a log had hit him, again and again and again he punched Brian.
Brian's breath was taken from him every blow Dylan hit him with. Dylan finished it off with a hard punch in the face and a kick in Brian's chest. Brian rolled on the ground as Dylan's friends let go of him. " And also so show some respect to me and you won't end up like this. You know better Brian."
Brian did not respond, he just lay there and watched Dylan and his friends walk away. This happened everyday to Brian, even at his work sometimes.
He didn't care, he didn't use his strength to fight. He slowly got back up and grabbed his books. He did not have a backpack and could not afford one, his last one was ripped when he got beat up (You know who did it) and it ripped when he was pushed to the ground.
He walked out of the bushes and onto the road he walked to his house every day. It was a long walk but most the time he did his homework on the walk. Barely any cars went down this road, his neighborhood was old and not many people live there anymore.
He started on his math, than English, social studies, and finally art. He was suppose to draw a flying object, something in the sky, something colorful he knew just what to draw.
It was at his house so he would have to wait to get there but he usual drew before bed or to kill time and he was very good at it. One time he had been asked by his art teacher to make an entire post by himself because he was so good, art was an easy A for Brian.
Brian had an old notebook from one of his friends that had tons of her drawings in it. It was given to him the day she passed, all of them had given him there notebooks. He never talked about his friends, ever. The day they died was the day he sank to grief, it got worse when his family died.
His brother was still alive though just, away. His brother was in the military, the day his parents died was the day he joined. He sent a letter every once I a while, which was once every year. His brother sent what little he could for Brian. Brian also had a job, he cut down trees.
He had a huge forest on their property so, he took advantage of it. He made 20$ a tree. It was enough for a week so he had to work every weekend to make enough money to have food, water, and electricity.
Brian could see his house from where he was.
Brian drew most the time he had the chance. He drew because his friend had told him never to give it up, so he never did. He drew people, animals, buildings, and nature. He didn't just draw to get rid of time, he played his instruments in his basement.
That was his life, playing music, he started when he was only five then he continued to learn all of the instruments he could. He had a band called The Spirit but..... his only friends played in the band with him. There death continued to haunt him, Those were the friends that died, he does no tell anyone what happened, he never speaks of it. Ever.
Brian ran up to his room and opened his huge black box. It had tons of his stuff in in it, his friends items, a guitar, notebooks, and a very small amp. He opened a bin and grabbed a notebook. The cover read DASHIE'S NOTEBOOK OF DRAWINGS # 4. He closed his trunk and went down the stairs as he was walking down he flipped through the pages. He found what he was looking for, he grabbed a bar stool and sat on the counter.
He had a pencil in his pocket and markers, crayons, and more pencils sat in a bin across from him. He lifted the bin and grabbed a sheet of white paper from underneath it. He started to sketch his drawing, then he made the outlines then went over that with sharpie. He colored it and touched it up. He lifted it up and looked at his finished drawing.
It was a cyan blue pegasus with rainbow hair, violet eyes and a rounded muzzle. He stared at it and it stared back.The name of the pegasus was Rainbow Dash, just like on the show My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.Brian did not watch the show, it reminded him of something awful that he did not want to remember. He had only,learned that from a trailer on YouTube.
He put the drawing with his other schoolwork and went upstairs. He went into his room and grabbed his acoustic guitar. He strummed for a while, until the phone rang.
Ever since his parents died he moved the phone to his room so he could grab it if he was in bed, working on homework, or just playing his guitar. He set his guitar down and picked up the phone. It read US ARMY 22075..... It might be a call from his brother, he had not called in three years. Maybe he was coming home, then it would be easy, things would change.
He clicked the green button.
"Hello?" Brian called on the phone. A unfamiliar voice on the other end answered. "Uh hi, this is the US Army, um is this Brian Redman?""Yes this is him." Brian responded.
"Well, um, I have, some um, very bad news, um how do I say this, um, well you see, um, well, okay whew, your brother is dead, he was doing a training exercise for jumping and his parachute failed, he landed in the trees and cracked his neck and died 15 minutes later, I am really sorry. I am going to leave now I am sorry, your brother was a great man."
Click. Brian sat there phone to his ear, wait what? Trying to take all of this in Brian's head spun.BROTHER, DEAD, FAIL PARACHUTE,NECK CRACKED. He was trying to wrap his head around this.
He was alone, cold, not wanted anywhere else. He was betrayed, abandoned, beaten, and lost. He knew what was going to do. Yes he knew exactly what he was going to do. He was running away.

Brian grabbed his trunk and yanked it out of his room, he had dealt with trees heavier than this but it was heavy. He pulled it down the stairs
BANG, BANG, BANG
This went on for six more stairs, when he got to the bottom he set the trunk down.
He opened his front door and went to his garage. He lifted up the door and put up a stick so it would not fall. He walked inside flipped a tarp off of an old four-wheeler he had.
He used to ride it to school all the time until they asked him to stop because it left marks on the grass, so he kept it in the garage where it would not be harmed.
He pulled some keys off the wall and got on the four wheeler.
He put the keys in the ignition and turned them. The engine sputtered for a moment and then roared to life.
He let it warm up for a minute and pulled on the gas. He rode the four wheeler into an old car port and got off. He moved a few old sticks, rakes, tools, until he found what he was looking for.
A larger wooden trailer that he used to haul all the little sticks from his yard and into the side of the house. He pulled it out and drug it all the way to the four wheeler. He hitched it on and pulled out of the car port.
He rode back up to the front of the house and got off. He went inside and grabbed his trunk, he drug it outside and put it in the trailer.
He went back inside and grabbed a few more things, food, his guitar, clothes, and more. He threw it all into his trailer and got back onto his four wheeler.
He drove down a path and came to a stop at the edge of the woods. His axe was stuck into a tree from last weekend, he got off and pulled it out of the tree. Anything will come in handy now. He threw it in threw it in the back of the trailer.
He rode on further and further into the woods.
Brian then felt it coming up on him his sorrow chasing him like a mad dog, the feels were coming. He tried not to think a out his brother, no don't think about him.
Don't think about the good times we had or the fun, it just a memory, just a picture to look at. The feels got to him, he remembered what good they were, his whole family then pushed into his mind.
Tears poured down his face as he speed up faster down the trail. Brian was going very fast, he was in fourth gear, he never went into high gears.
Then saw a huge light came out of nowhere. "What the heck hey! I can't see!'' It blinded him so much that he could not even see the road.
He slammed his brakes but he slid toward the light, it got brighter and brighter until he could not see anything.
''Hey what the hell was that?!''
Brian felt as if he was riding on a roller coaster, he was falling very fast.
Brian still could not see he was still blinded by the light, then felt something fly past him.
WHOOSH
"HEY! WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT AND WHY AM I FALL-''
Brian felt something hit him across the face and the light went away and darkness overtook him
PONYVILLE CURRENT TIME
Lightning crashed as the clouds gathered that stormy night in ponyville.
Twilight sparkle sit awake on her table finishing her late night of studying. She read the last few pages of her book and closed it.
"That's the last one spike we can hit the hay now."
No response. Twilight turned around to see a sleeping baby dragon on the ground snoring with books in his claws.
"Oh spike, you silly little dragon."
Twilight used her magic to levitate him up to his bed, suddenly a bright light came through the window.
Twilight startled by this dropped Spike.
She quickly turned around to catch him, she grabbed Spike in the nick of time, she put him upstairs in his bed and went back to the window where the bright light came from.
She looked around, nothing strange.
"Twilight you are going crazy, maybe you need more sleep....."
She started walking towards her bed when out of the corner of her eye she saw something emerge from the clouds, somthing with lights and a weird shape.
It feel to the ground
. She stood there another minute then shook her head. "Alright, Twilight off to bed before you go crazy and have hallucinations." She climbed up the steps wondering if what she had seen was real or lack of sleep.....
