Eons ago, Tirek, one of the nova-beings, betrayed his fellow Nova-beings to invade the Equis. For that, he was sentenced to eternal imprisonment in Tartarus. Then thousands of years ago, he found away out. He took all forms of magic. Even Alicorn Magic. He was put back into Tartarus. He now rules Equis with an iron fist.
